Well, you've read the notes, the notes were filled with both stupid and stuff, and now it is time for you to post until the stupid, stuffed cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: ADAMANTINE!
-
Well, this is weird. I checked out the first two e-books of the "Planetfall" series from OverDrive. There are four books in the series, but books three and four are only available through OverDrive in the audio format! There are downloadable e-books at Amazon, but OverDrive doesn't carry them! What's that all about?? :o
But the weird part is that even though I checked out the first two books from the library, I got an e-mail from Amazon (out of the blue) saying that I have an automatic $5 credit for the specific purchase of the first book, "Planetfall." I already downloaded that! I'd rather have the credit to purchase book #3, since it's not available from the library. Thanks for the offer, though. ::)
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept quite well for the most part. The injections are working their magic, so I'm quite pleased.
-
I'm still quite pissed over the Facebook block. As if 30 days will do anything, and the Facebook police are a joke. They banned me for seven days for calling a southern biker dog killer a cracker, and when I got back on Facebook, I posted these Amazon book covers
-
I did the same when they banned me for seven days for calling Sarah Huckabee Sanders "white trash." In my defense I told them my family background was poor white trash, and posted these book covers when my block was over:
-
Now they never banned me for these posts. And this, boys and girls, is why I think the Facebook police are white trash cracker asses.
-
I have no plans today, but now that I'm feeling more limber, I may drag out the Big Ladder and put things away.
-
I have pulled a couple of major gaffes in my food ordering but I recall none of them now. As for Sissy Spacek:
Carrie
Crimes of the Heart
Coal Miner's Daughter
The Grass Harp
-
Kitty cleanup finished. I forget to mention Vanessa, DR John G. What a dreadful opera with an inane gothic plot. I saw the last City Opera production and could not wait to get out of the theatre. I have this memory, but I could be wrong, that there was a scene later cut where Vanessa goes ice skating and she has this aria about it. I do remember an Opera News interview with Mary Costa when she sang the role at the Met in the 1960s. She said she had received a letter saying "I understand you're going to play that dreadful lady with the skates.
-
Give me The Rake's Progress, Mahagonny, or Wozzeck any day!
-
Little Thatch has a bad habit of reaching up and grabbing my left thigh when he wants attention, food, or loving. My thigh is nothing but scars.
-
Good morning, all.
-
A couple of my botched meal experiences were a case of my ordering something new to me that somehow sounded good on paper, and were anything but.
I know I’ve simply made mistakes in ordering, too, but I can’t think of an example right now.
-
I was given “White Trash Cooking” many years ago, as kind of a joke gift but the person also thought I’d have a serious interest in it. And I did. Incredibly, I haven’t for years remembered WHO gave it to me, though as I think about it now I have a couple of ideas. But I loved reading through it and should do so again.
-
I need to pick up some Russian dressing. I think when I shop next, I’ll get that AND some Thousand Island, because I want to properly compare the two on a couple of things. I love Ken’s Steak House for the Thousand, so I’ll stick with that brand on the Russian.

We’re going through much sadness here as regards Poe, our beloved eighteen-year-old black kitty. He’s been coping with kidney disease for two years. He’s had other issues, too, but this week we’re seeing the kidney thing take its toll to a greater extent. As it always does. We’ve been on this journey twice before, so we know we’re approaching the end stages. Sadly, experience doesn’t make it get any easier.

Such sad news. I'm so sorry.

I am so hoping the Fat Orange Slug's current Covid-19 approach is the end of his presidency.
-
Good morning, all.
-
My coworker Rosenda died this morning. I’m just relieved to know she’s not in pain. Made sure my team knew. They aren’t making an announcement though until 10 am. So outside of my folks, I don’t know who knows or not.

Thanks. Now to get through a slew of meaningless meetings.
-
We all know that God created ADAMANTINE not Adam and Steve.
-
Sad news DR CHAS SMITH - vibes for Poe and his human family.
-
And sympathy vibes for DR JOHN G.
-
In other news, my brother never called me about my uncle, so I am assuming all went well and that he is home....we shall see if news is dispensed some time today.
-
Not a peep on the TCM Message Boards about Norma Sheer.....so we shall see if they keep running the promo....Stars in August, long form.

Good morning.
-
I'm so sorry to hear about Rosenda, John G.
-
I'm sorry to hear about Poe, Chas. We've heard about Poe ever since you began posting here. We'll miss him.
-
Thursday morning greetings! We've cleaned up our kitchen and I've cleared up an online ordering boo-boo from last night and we're about to watch a webinar from Miami University about crossword puzzles.
-
DR John G, condolences to you and your co-workers and all who love Rosenda.
-
DR ChasSmith, Poe is lucky to have people like you for his journey...
-
DR Ginny, there are a plethora of T-shirts! I ordered one.

From Bruce:
I walk around the house, I walk to my car, I walk into wherever I'm going - that's about it for now.
Why so little exercise? Even a short jog to the corner and back would be good.

It seems they want to get you started on the series.
I have seen those odd skips on Overdrive. I recall one mystery series that offered every book but once. My brother who started me on the books said it was the same with the hard cover. I was able to purchase the eBook.

Ha!

Well, I've made it up and down the Big Ladder three times, survived, and put it away. That ordeal is over.
-
Tonight at 7:30! I may end up with a dog yet.
The event streams Thursday, July 16, at 7:30pm on www.broadwaybarks.com. Hosted by Bernadette Peters with the support of fellow celebrity animal lovers, the stream will feature adoptable cats and dogs from more than 30 rescues and shelters. The stream is produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and Broadway.com’s Paul Wontorek. It will be presented in partnership with Broadway.com and will also broadcast free of charge on their websites, YouTube and Facebook pages. See you there!

I am sure that DR JANE meant the photo of DR JOHN G.....yes it is a nice one.

Let’s move on ...

Three!
-
Elmore, if you saw the Bernadette Peters concert on YouTube, Mary Tyler Moore talks about how Peters herself would pick up dogs at a kill shelter and drive them to no-kill shelters.
-
RIP to Rosenda.
-
Vibes to ChasSmith (and anyone else who needs them).
-
I'm up, I'm up - almost eight hours of sleep.
-
So, while I was taped inside my house, they painted to door and the garage door the wrong color. They painted both The same gray that the majority of the house is. I had to tell them.
-
I felt bad because it’s really hot outside.

I wouldn't watch it because I have yet to see Bernadette Peters in anything since Into The Woods where her voice hasn't sounded like she's been drinking Drano. I have known for some time that she's involved with Broadway Barks and animal rescue, and I think that's fantastic. I remain a huge fan but she needs to stop taking on Ethel Merman roles.

They already had instructions on the correct colors? Tough.

True. But I still feel sorry for them.
-
I just saw the promo again and Norma's name has been fixed.....I am SURE of what I saw.....but then again.....I don't know.....
-
I just fried up a couple of mushroom-swiss cheeseburgers. Deelish!
-
I am sure that DR JANE meant the photo of DR JOHN G.....yes it is a nice one.
I did. Thank you for correcting me. I shall return and correct my original post.

Bummer. It really helps to be able to supervise the work at the beginning of the project ;)

I did not know this about Peters and am glad now to know it.

While we have rescued dogs and cats I have never worked at/with a shelters. I have donated supplies and offered to volunteer, unfortunately what they wanted me to do what physically too difficult for me.

They’re still out there. I guess they want to finish today.

I have really had a crazy one, but it’s been productive.

Can we get off this page?

Good luck, Larry!
Much as I'm interested, I'm not sure I will be watching. In another 30 minutes or so the cats and I will be settling in for the evening to watch the last episode of Lillie. If I can get my energy up, I'll watch a bit, but I honestly don't think I'll be getting a dog tonight. Just because you want something doesn't mean you really need it.

Elmore, I think it would be best if you don't add a dog to your household. Three cats are plenty in a place your size. I also think it would be difficult for you to take a dog for walks several times per day. Also, dogs are quite expensive; their vet bills seem to be way higher than for cats. I think you have done a wonderful thing rescuing Annabelle, Thatch, and Stella. To add a dog would upset them.
-
I have had 7 broken bones all caused by dogs.
-
Granted 4 were from one fall.
-
Been doing Kritzerland show work, approving or fixing tracks, etc. There are packages, but I'll retrieve them tomorrow.

Has anyone watched, or is watching, “Cocktails with a Curator”?
-
" Cocktails with a Curator. A perfect mix of cocktails and art. Every Friday at 5:00 p.m., join us for happy hour as a Frick curator (remotely) offers insights on a work of art with a complementary cocktail."
-
It is on YouTube.
-
My brother's library is still closed and he has been directed to another library to pick up his books on hold at the curbside pick up.
-
He has been waiting weeks for a date to do this.
-
He called to ask when he can pick them up and was told that they were receiving 2,000 books per day from the other libraries and they have only five people working there.
-
I think it will be awhile before he can get the books ;D
-
Well, this is kind of ironic:

:))
-
I gotta tell you.
-
No new posts were showing since my last visit an hour ago and yet there were new posts.
-
I’m watching Wozzeck, but I started way too late and probably won’t get through it tonight.
-
Not that it’s long. It isn’t. I’m just wiped out, and tomorrow I’ll take out the score to follow.
-
I went to a socially distanced pool party tonight. It was nice to get out after all the stuff that's happened today.
-
The painters were cleaning up when I left. So, I think it's finished. The review and walkabout will take place in the morning. I can then start to put things back on the walls and start cleaning. The house and the yard both could use some help.

Hello, 1 guest!

Good night, all.

Finished with my viewing.

PAGE FIVE DANCE!!
-
After I came home from work, I fed my cat and fed myself.
-
Then, I had to clean up some maggots that were under my garbage in my kitchen!!
-
:o
-
:P
-
Fortunately, there weren't very many, but still! >:(
-
I put them in the small garbage bag in the small garbage container that I have in my powder room right off my kitchen, then tied a knot in it, then threw that bag into my big kitchen garbage bag, tied that off and then actually took that all out to the big dumpster behind my condo.
-
The big kitchen bag wasn't even full, but I HAD to get it out!!
-
So I did.
-
I looked all around that area in my kitchen and didn't see any other maggots, nor any evidence of anything else similar in nature, so I figured (hoped) that I really got them all.
-
After that, I went onto my Windows XP computer and started working on breaking up the Hamilton Workshop (https://youtu.be/iZimKbGCKng) album into individual tracks.
-
I was able to download it and convert it to one big .WAV file, then break that into individual tracks, but the .WAV file editor that I have (and know how to use) is on my older computer.
-
I have Audacity on my new Windows 10 computer, but I only know how to do a few things with it, and I'd been using that older .WAV file editor for years, so I REALLY know how to use that.
-
I also am fixing what I can in regards to extra noise (or silence) in between the tracks.
-
Nothing that's too complicated, but it's all just very time consuming.
-
After breaking the one big file into individual tracks, I only got through track 13 before I realized what time it was and figured that I'd better hie my hiney to HainesHisWay! ;)
-
And so, I have.
-
And now, I have caught up with all the posts.
