Well, you've read the notes, the notes were relaxing and had Mahler, and now it is time for you to post until the Mahleresque cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: FAIN!
-
Wow! That's a fantastic cast, BK! Can't wait for the next Kritzerland show! I'm REALLY glad that this one is still going to be online!
-
I will say that Bruno Walter's Mahler 1 is one of the greatest recordings I've ever heard. The clarity is astounding.
-
I'm off to bed. No plans for today, but some TV watching and some laundry.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
Last night was the longest night in the history of time. At one point I awoke, thinking I had been asleep for decades. When I checked the clock, it was only a few minutes past midnight. Faithful Annabelle stayed by me all night.
-
I had this long, rambling dream about Babes In Toyland, the Library of Congress, the alcoholic librarian who contributed to the screw-up of the Life Begins At 8:40 recording, other LoC librarians I haven't seen in some time, a researcher looking into possible recordings Victor Herbert might have made of the Babes In Toyland score, and scheduling an orchestra reading of the score.

This morning the cats were extremely frisky before and after their breakfast. Now they're all lying about in a semi-comatose state.
-
I have a few tasks today: replace the filter in the air purifier, take recyclables to the basement, and make a cauldron of chili.
-
When I saw Dr. Re last Wednesday morning, he once again reminded me of two things: these injections can be a diminishing return as the arthritis takes over and that I won't feel the effects until 2-3 days after the injection. It's now four days, and I feel they're doing nothing. I can't say I'm very happy at the moment about the state of my health. but I really do not want to go back to surgery for a hip-knee replacement at the moment. I would just like to get to January before I consider doing it.
-
Good morning.
-
Enjoying my cup of coffee before I head out for my daily walk.
-
The recyclables are in the basement, and kitty cleanup is over. Yesterday morning, due to God knows what distraction, I completely assembled the litter box incorrectly - after three years! - and I had a mess on my hands this morning. All is now good. I do need to head into the bathroom with the dustbuster ASAP.
-
I got three Netflix DVDs yesterday, and I think I may watch Ron Howard's film on Pavarotti when my chores are over.
-
I placed an order with Fairway for groceries just a little past 7:30 this morning, and asked for a delivery in the next five hours. It arrived just before 9:00. Speedy!

Today is Thatch's third birthday! City Vet just sent him a birthday greeting. His gotcha day is Nov. 9. I do love my little boy.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Happy birthday, Thatch!
-
I will say that Bruno Walter's Mahler 1 is one of the greatest recordings I've ever heard. The clarity is astounding.
One of my favorite pieces of music. Will look for this recording.
-
Great lineup, BK. Four special guests!
-
My church’s live stream isn’t working this morning.
-
I may try to sleep again.
-
I see Trump's Master Race had a march in Pennsylvania yesterday. I hope everyone of these asses is identified and they lose their jobs.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I would just like to say I smell bacon cooking.
-
I would just like to say I smell bacon cooking.
I wish I did!
-
I always thought Frankie FAIN deserved the Oscar over Frank Sinatra in 1966......
-
Nice Kritzerland Cast!
-
Hot today.....
Happy Birthday, Thatch!
-
Two!
-
BK: That Leinsdorf Mahler 6th you mentioned yesterday — is it that “High Definition Tape Transfer” release?
-
We were able to visit with our upstairs dog today. After having his spleen removed, and being on pain meds, he looks much better than he did last Tuesday. The biopsy results have not come back yet. We need good news.
-
DR TCB we received our ballots 2 days ago. I know who I am voting for Secretary of State but not anyone else yet.
-
40 names for governor. I hadn't looked at that yet :o
-
From TCB:
If I voted for me and my sister voted for me, I would probably have gotten more votes than half of these yo-yos will get.
;D
-
I haven't noticed or received one ad for governor at all. Daily I received an email, have no idea why, from the D running for Secretary of State. Surprisingly as these notices don't make a difference to me, it worked and she is my pick. Of course I also did my own research.
-
Happy 3rd birthday to beautiful Thatch.
-
The fates are cruel, unnecessarily nasty and vicious! A 30 lb. pocket pittie is up for adoption, and I would kill to adopt him. He's adorable, but I can't.

Good afternoon!
-
Great line-up for the next Kritzerland show, BK!
-
Happy Birthday to Thatch!
-
I've started Jo-Jo Rabbit. I may have to turn it off. I'm not in the right frame of mind for it. I can tell what it wants to do, but I'm not buying into it at all.
-
A shame. Yes, wait until you are in the right frame of mind.
-
The chili turned out quite well. I'm having a bowl for dinner.
-
I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep.
-
I'm making some meatless meatballs. And a pot roast. Smells good here.
-
ChasSmith, no not that - there was a Japanese issue, which is what this is from and which thus far has eluded me as to actually finding it - I grabbed this from YouTube and it sounds great.
-
It's actually five guest stars - Jennifer Simard is one, too.
-
Going to the mail place now while I do a computer restart to do updates - security and Safari. They do these so ofter I really find it irritating.
-

If they're meatless, are they really meatballs?

What do you use for the meatless meatballs?

Happy Birthday, Thatch!
Did he get a can of tuna?
-
There is some version of The Magic Flute tonight on TCM at 2 a.m. EDST......I'm not sure which one it is.....or what to expect.

The date given is 1975, so I'm guessing it is the wonderful Ingmar Bergman film.
-
Happy Birthday, Thatch!
Did he get a can of tuna?
Nope. Just a good cuddle with Daddy, and I made a couple of quilt caves where he could hang out during the day.

Thanks. Except for the pepper flakes they look delicious.
-
To me they look better than meat meatballs which were never a favorite of mine.
-
Back from the mail place, computer updates done, and Dino's Pizza with pepperoni rather than pepperoncini eaten. I'm full.

Could be the Bergman movie. One of my favorites.
-
Trois!
-
I read Ina Garten's peach pie recipe yesterday, so I had to make one. It's in the oven now.
-
I didn't buy quite enough peaches, so I added some blueberries I had in the freezer. The house smells nice.
-
But the house is also hot.
-
I've started listening to The Curious Charms of Arthur Pepper by Phaedra Patrick. It's like Major Pettigrew lite. But it also has its curious charms.
-
We splurged and for the second time since before quarantine began, we purchased a pizza to go.
-

Interesting you compared it to the Major. I looked up the book and the description is very different. Someone on Goodreads asked if it was like The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry. I have marked it to read. Please let me know if it continues to be enjoyable.

They're both about British widowers. But British and widowers are enough to draw a comparison.

So much for no plans. ::)
-
My dad called and asked if I could come over and fix his headphones.
-
He unplugged them and couldn't figure out how to fix them.
-
I went over and got the plugged back in, and I wrote out what he needs to do to change his TV from the cable input to the DVD input...he forgot that, too.
-
Then, we played Phase 10.
-
I lost, but my mom won...probably only the second time in several months!
-
Then, I drove through the Lacey Taco Bell for a burrito, and then headed to my sister's to help her hang some pictures.
-
Well, she had too many decisions to make for me to help, so I didn't have to stick around there for very long.
-
I got gas at Costco and was going to go to Fred Meyer for some diet Pepsi, but I wasn't in the mood, so I came home.
-
I've just been working on my computer and taking files off my tablet micro SD cards to free up room on them.
-
And that's been my day. :)
-
Page three? Really?
-
I gotta tell you.
-
Finished with my viewing.
-
Computer just began spazzing out - something glitched on a site I was closing out of - really annoying but it righted itself quickly.
-
I got gas at Costco and was going to go to Fred Meyer for some diet Pepsi, but I wasn't in the mood, so I came home.
I would also have skipped the market by then.
-
I'm still working on emptying the micro SD cards of my tablets and moving the files onto my desktop computer.
-
It's slow going. ::)
-
But, at least, it's working.
-
There are a couple of full-length videos that I want to put onto one of my tablets, but I get some kind of error message when I move it, and it's not a "this disc is full" kind of a thing.
-
I forget what it is, but I'm going to see what happens when/if I download the file from online directly onto the flash drive...hopefully, that'll work. We'll see!
-
PAGE FOUR DANCE!!
-
Good
-
evening.
-
Hey, I figure every post helps.
-
I had food in the house that I could eat, but I ordered delivery instead.
-
It is an expensive habit.
-
The news just had a cute story about a water-loving cat.
-
Thanks everyone for the help posting today.
-
It was pleasantly warm today.
-
It was around 80 degrees, I imagine.
-
Hotter tomorrow.
-
I always thought Frankie FAIN deserved the Oscar over Frank Sinatra in 1966......
I thought Sinatra won his Oscar in the 50’s?
-
Happy birthday, Thatch.
-
I'm making some meatless meatballs. And a pot roast. Smells good here.
Is the pot roast meatless, as well?
-
I heard an interview with that guy, Rudy Rainbow (or something like that). He said he received nice words from Richard Sherman regarding his “Spoonful of Clorox” song. He was thrilled.
-

Today, my mom offered to make me something to eat, but I drove through Taco Bell instead. ;)
-
The other night, I watched TILL THE CLOUDS ROLL BY.
-
Hi, Tom.
-
Pieces of it seemed familiar, but mostly it was all a blank.
-

His name is Randy Rainbow (https://www.youtube.com/user/Tday4U), and that's his real name. He's VERY good!
-
I am sure I must have seen it before.
-
Hotter tomorrow.
I'm glad I'll be in my air conditioned work.
-
It's been QUITE warm at my house today! :P
-
I am sure I must have seen it before.
I haven't seen the whole movie, just the Show Boat section on a complete Show Boat laserdisc set.

Sorry, I didn’t mean to offend Mr. Rainbow.

I'm sure that it wouldn't bother him. ;)
-
The movie was looking for his WORDS AND MUSIC.
-
Page four offends me.
-
I do not like or enjoy page four.
-
Page five is a different story.
-
Good, now let's get some damn posts on this page, shall we?
-
Let's not stop here.
-
Let's have some thrills.
-
The movie I wanted to watch was MEET ME IN ST LOUIS.
-
Let's have some action.
-
Some laughs.
-
Page five is a different story.
Ask and ye shall receive! ;D
-
Isn't Words and Music the Kalmer and Ruby story?
-
Am I remembering that correctly? Or is it the Rodgers and Hart story?
-
I suppose any Judy music would be fine.
-
Or the Meltz and Ernest story?
-
Anyone remember Meltz and Ernest?
-
Am I remembering that correctly? Or is it the Rodgers and Hart story?
Yes, it is. In theory.
-

VERY theoretical. ;)
-
Isn't Words and Music the Kalmer and Ruby story?
No, I think that is THREE LITTLE WORDS.
-
Whoops! After midnight.
-
Good night.
-
Some laughs.
How's this for a laugh?
-
Good night.
Good night, Tom.
-
Yesterday in the mail, I got Theater Artists Olympia's new debit card.
-
I had completely forgotten that I actually still had one, and that it was even going to expire soon.
-
But I did, and it did, but now, it's been renewed.
-
I have now activated the new card.
-
And I also changed the PIN.
-
I forgot that there was even a PIN for this card.
-
Fortunately, I remembered what it was!
-
And I changed it to something that I can (hopefully) remember.
-
Well, I know I can remember the number, but will I remember that this number is now the PIN for this card??
-
I think so.
-
At least, it's now fresh in my mind. :)
-
six!!!!!!
