I think the first film composers I became aware of were Max Steiner - GWTW was a big favorite of my mother's and I had the Warner Brothers LP of the film score - and later John Addison and John Barry because of my infatuation with the soundtracks of Tom Jones and Goldfinger.
Good morning, DR JohnG!

Howdy. Did Thatch have a nice birthday?
My PUA deposit appears to be screwed up this morning, and that worries me.
Yes DR ELMORE - your cards let us know that someone in charge needs to clear an obstacle in the way - and this obstacle might even be another person. And it may be that ONLY ONE PERSON needs to be in charge.
Someone or something is blocking things.....I'll burn a white candle to get rid of it....or at least help in identifying it.
They had a screw-up the week before last, wherein some people (yrs truly, for example) didn't get taxes withheld. That was fixed this past week.
In case anyone wants to watch the latest episode of "Conversations With Jack" featuring my good friend and assistant director Sandi Rossok.

The Husband Hunters is about the real-life buccaneers, as Edith Wharton called them, who couldn’t buy their way into the 400, so they married into British nobility.
In the beginning, we learn about the rules of the 400. If you are invited to a ball and cannot make it because you have died, your executor must go in your place. Duly noted.
News just broke that Middletown schools will open the 2020-21 school year remotely.

Is this the Anne de Courcy book? It sounds very interesting.
Cornelia Otis Skinner's Elegant Wits and Grand Horizontals is one of my favorite social histories, and I recommend it highly.

I will look that up.
So, it’s being reported that the virus has spread to 24 times the number of people who’ve tested positive with it. Yikes.
On a happier note, I am in love with "Bruce Willis."

~~~Continued Vibes of All Kinds for Vixmom and Vixfam!!~~~
Today, once again, I’ve been stuck in the feeling that it’s a Saturday.
This morning and early afternoon were tough, but it all went as well as these things ever can. There’s no question that at-home things like this are the way to go. Thank you all for the thoughts, and yes, I will post pictures. I’ll probably make up a little album on Flickr because I found I still have an old account kicking around there.
My favorite Tom Lehrer:
First you get down on your knees,
Fiddle with your rosaries,
Bow your head in great respect, and
INCULCATE, INCULCATE, INCULCATE.
Okay, that’s not going to win any prizes, but it’s what you get today.
many vibes of comfort, ChasSmith.
I'll find out when I visit her. I want to see if she has started A Gentleman in Moscow.
BTW, I did hear from a friend today who just finished Major Pettigrew. She loved it, was very glad she read it from a physical copy and not in audio form.
I do think she would like it.
I will likely leave next Wednesday for Louisville, a week from tomorrow.
George, did you watch that production of City of Angels on YouTube? I'm enjoying the singing and the staging. I only watch it a little at a time. There's a tiny bit more loose choreography than I remember the original production had, but it's fairly faithful. I have a soft spot for this show.
One or two nights in a hotel?
No. J.B. wants a drive that’s straight through. If I stop, it will be at a rest area.
I finished A Town Like Alice tonight. Loved it. Loved the people.
Time will tell
I am not up to talking about it
It was a little cooler today.
Did you read about the 12 nuns from one convent in Michigan who all died of CoVid-19 in one month, starting on Good Friday.
7.8 earthquake in Alaska this evening. Tsunami warning has been issued.
It's not difficult, just time consuming.
Good night, George.
