After I fed the cats I debated returning there, then discovered another leak from the AC, I think the problem is that the air conditioner's carriage gets off balance from the cats jumping on and off the unit on their way to the windowsill, and its position slopes into the room so the condensation runs inside rather than outside.

I somehow didn’t even know about that film, only discovering it years after the fact while browsing in a video store. Remember video stores? It immediately looked intriguing so I bought it and watched it, and enjoyed it in all of its strangeness and unsettledness.

I agree with BK’s observation re the lack of today’s technology in the film. I’d say it captures an oddly near-perfect time relative to all of that.

And yes, I remember that huge geographic leap, because I was very taken with the location shooting overall. It’s just too bad about that jump in believability. Nevertheless, now I must watch it again.

Usually we just have Johnsonville which are fresh not frozen.

But in the before times sometimes Vixdad would make the trip into Manhattan (from his office in Brooklyn) and go to Myers of Keswick http://www.myersofkeswick.com and get traditional English bangers and rashers of English style bacon.

As far as the tomatoes I just slice them in half, make a little “x” in the middle with a knife and put them in the toaster oven at 450 until they are soft .

Vixdad likes woerstershire sauce on his so I put that on before popping them in the oven. These days I sprinkle mine with Penzey’s Foxpoint or Sunny Paris seasoning (nearly identical but Foxpoint has salt and Sunny Paris does not)

I am thinking that Firestone Tires is a sponsor because every time someone goes for a pit stop, the announcer says they are going in to get some of those new great Firestone Tires......

Only downside so far - one of the color analysts is loser Danica Patrick.....

Yes, usually around St Patrick’s day Trader Joe’s will have Irish Bangers and we’ll do it then. I’ll have mashed but Vixdad isn’t a fan so he’ll have chips (well steak fries) instead

That's what I got for the pie that I made on Thursday for my dad. I found out almost too late that after you defrost it in the fridge overnight, you still have to let it set on the counter and warm up to room temperature for about 45 minutes or so. Then it'll be really ready to unroll and use. ::)

Knowing what it sounds like here I have no problem imagining his reaction. It makes excellent sense to wait until after the alarms are tested.

I knew it! I haven't listened to that in quite a few years, but from the first time I heard the new downloaded version, I had a memory of Michelle Nicastro voice singing the song. I don't, however, remember if I remembered Michelle's version when Sandy's CD first came out.
