Well, you've read the notes, the notes were hot inside, and now it is time for you to post until the hot inside cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: FASTIDIOUS!
-
Oh Bruce, I know that they bring in professionals. They always show them when they first arrive for rehearsal and they say that they are Professionals and they are going to be filling as the other characters.
-
To continue my story from yesterday about my day yesterday:
After walking along the pier, David wanted to go to Bayview Thriftway back in town (and I think this is the main reason he came down to Olympia) because they carry a couple of Spanish wines that he really likes, and he hasn't been able to find them in Seattle (he's originally from Yucatan and went to school in Spain). He found his wines and they were decently priced, so he was happy. We walked around the downtown boardwalk for a while and decided that we were both hungry.
-
Also, Stephen Schwartz showed up at PIPPEN rehearsals to work with some of the cast, and Susan Egan came into rehearsals for BEAUTY AND THE BEAST.
-
Sorry, I didn’t mean to interrupt your story.
-
He found out that Applebee's was having a deal on some of their burgers and had opened to (socially distant) seating in their restaurant, so we decided to go there for dinner. At least every other table was not available to sit at, but the place was otherwise almost all filled, but fortunately, we didn't have to wait. Everyone walking around had masks on, and when you left your table, you were supposed to wear a mask, so it seemed like they were making sure everyone was relatively safe. We both really enjoyed our burgers, and especially because they were on sale! David then decided to go home after we finished eating. We said our goodbyes and I came home, took a nap and zonked out for a couple of hours. We walked around town and the marina and town again for a good couple of hours!

That's pretty cool!

Don't worry, Tom. You didn't interrupt my story...BK did when he closed yesterday's posts. ;)
-
They couldn’t pick my class because we didn’t do musicals and I don’t think that ENCORE! would want to mount a performance of GET SMART.
-
Today is a total ME day! :D
-

That's pretty cool!
And Kristen Bell showed up during one show. They also brought in a vocal coach that apparently coached Bradley Cooper for A STAR IS BORN. His last name was Love, but I can’t remember his first name.

I found him at IMDB. His name is Roger Love.
-
Good grief! Good night!
-
Good night, Tom.
-
And good night, BK and anyone else out there in the darkness. I'm off to bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
DR TCB, excellent news regarding the surgery even if the wait was long.
-
George your visit with David sounds very nice.
-
'night
-
Good morning, all.
-
Yes, BK, the sound on that Toscanini is rough, no two ways about it. I only got used to it after a lot of Toscanini listening way back in the day.
-
Dragon Tattoo sounds like a great thing to watch again.
I do have the good set, and I only saw it once when I first got it, so it will be a thrilling return when I get to it.
-
Good news about the important envelope.
Good news about the brother in law of DR TCB.
-
Wasn't FASTIDIOUS the daughter of Medea? And weren't her twin boys named Tentacle and Testicles [you have to say them as Greek names like Pericles) - or maybe it was Popsicles.
-
Going down to my brother's house in a bit to watch something on TV.
Them coming home to have our Record Party.....
-
Good morning, all.
-
DR TCB, excellent news regarding the surgery even if the wait was long.
Agreed.
-
Good morning!
-
Good morning, all! So far, this has been a shitty, goddamned lousy day.
-
I've been unable to log on here since 6:30, and the site to declare this week's unemployment is down as well. I have literally spent the last four hours or so trying top log on to HHW, the NY State Dept. of Labor, and rebooting the computer. And that's my lousy Sunday morning.
-
I’m sorry I forgot to say it took a long time to get in here this morning. At first it was as though HHW was completely offline, but eventually the Daily Discussions page loaded. Then it took another minute or longer for my login to complete. Once on this page I was fine, till logging out which was another very long wait.
GOOD LUCK with your DOL site, DR Elmore!
-
Off to see the Warhol exhibit. I hope Mom’s legs hold out.
-
Have a good time.
-
I called Suad, and she was able to log on to the Dept of Labor and make my claim for this week. I have never had a problem before.
-
This evening is that MET modern day Falstaff production. I'll catch some of it later tonight or maybe tomorrow. At least the music will be there. Or so I assume.

-
I see they're naming their weeks now. This past week was "Verdi Week".
Starting tomorrow: "20th Century and Beyond"
MON - Elektra (2016)
TUE - Peter Grimes (2008)
WED - Nixon in China (2011)
THU - Lulu (2015)
FRI - The Gershwins' Porgy & Bess [sic] (2020)
SAT - The Tempest (2012) - by Thomas Ades, composer of Exterminating Angel

Sunday afternoon greetings! Richard Zoomed to church in Dayton and I Facebooked to church in Springboro. My sister was “there,” too, all the way from Michigan.
-
We have printed and filled out our absentee ballot applications and will soon drive to Hamilton to deposit them in the drop box at the Board of Elections.
-
Anyone else have problems getting on?
-
I'm up, I'm up - nine hours of sleep.
-
Anyone else have problems getting on?
I tried over and over between 6:30 and 9:25, at which time I read yesterday's posts. Then the site went down again until shortly before I read today's notes and posted.
-
My problems getting to the site were between 8:30 and 9:15.
-

I had Disney Plus for a month for Hamilton. I was thinking about watching the Kristen Bell series. But never ended up watching them. They sounded interesting though.
-
Health vibes for DR TCB's brother-in-law!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

There are some advantages to all these online functions.
-

What a great idea to drop them off at the Board of Elections. How long was the trip there and back?
-
Anyone else have problems getting on?
I didn't attempt to get on during the time there was a problem.
-
I need to finish the book I am reading for my group discussion tomorrow.
-
I am reading The Hearts Invisible Furies by John Boyne. Has anyone read it? I didn't expect to laugh out loud at times.
-
My problems getting to the site were between 8:30 and 9:15.
That was about my timeframe, too. I tried both my iPad and my computer and could not connect with either.

It’s about a half hour drive each way, but we also had an eat-in-the-car dinner while we were out. We’ve been going there to vote early since 2008, but this will be our first year to vote absentee. Our ballots will arrive by mail and we’ll deliver them the same way we delivered our applications today.
-
I've written our web host so he at least knows about the problem.
-
How can this day be over already?
-
I have a little Kritzerland show work to do, then I'll get food, then watch the next Dragon Tattoo movie.

I didn't realize there was a vote early in person option. Is that still an option for people who want to vote in person?
-
DR Ginny was your eat-in-the-car dinner at a restaurant you would normally and stopped at and dined inside?
-
I wasn't around during the trouble times this morning it seems.
-
Well we had a glorious time playing our records and laughing.
Allan Sherman just always makes me laugh - there are a couple of duds on the LPs, but they fly by. And his puns tickle my funny bone immensely.
On my face - my eyebrows....
They're not your brows......they're my brows.....
-
We also listened to THE FIRST FAMILY, Bob Newhart.....Jonathan Winters.....Homer & Jethro....Dwight Frye, I AM THE PRESIDENT....and LYNDON JOHNSON'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND......
-
But the three Sherman LPs were the stars of the day.......remember if you go to the delicatessen store - don't buy the liverwurst!
-
More hockey action tonight.
I changed the filters in the furnace today.....it was time to do so, but it seems cooler so maybe it was past time.
-
Tomorrow the Summers Heating/Cooling Co. is coming out to do my free plumbing inspection that was scheduled in April and then canceled.
They say they hope to bring a smile to my face.....but to do that they would have to do more than work on my plumbing.
-
Finished with the little bit of work I had to do and waiting on food to arrive. Calorie friendly food, sort of - let me look it up: 550, less than I thought. I ordered a side dish so that will bring it up to 1000 calories and I shan't eat nothing else.
-
I have finished my book and highly recommend "The Heart's Invisible Furies". I still have Boyne's The Boy in the Striped Pajamas on my list of books to read. I understand it is heartbreaking sad.
While sad at times Invisible Furies often had me laughing out loud.
-
Finished with my chicken, avocado, and cheese wrap. Very good.
-
And filling.
-
And get me off this damn page.
-
I see that actress Lori Nelson has died.
In 1952, she, Julie Adams and Rock Hudson came to Seattle to promote their film, BEND OF THE RIVER. At the (now gone) Orpheum Theater, they signed autographs for the fans that attended the matinee screening that day, and I was one of the first ones in line.
Great memory.
-
Nice memory Druxy.
-
George your visit with David sounds very nice.
Thanks, Jane! It was fun. :)

Good.
-
I was hoping to fall asleep before beginning a book tonight but that hasn't happened
-
Hopefully I won't need to read long before I drift off.

Good night, Jane.

Good evening.

Oh, no! Since I've only read up to this point so far, I really hope things have improved since you posted this! :-\
-
I am still not a big fan of superhero movies, but I guess I enjoyed it.
-
I called Suad, and she was able to log on to the Dept of Labor and make my claim for this week. I have never had a problem before.
I'm glad that Suad was able to help!
-
I didn’t really get to see the final few minutes, because my sister called with today’s update.

More posts, please.
-
Come on!
-
One more post.
-
Page five!
-
Please George, focus some damn posts.
-
We are barely on page four.
-
I need to be up early.
-
So, I need to get some sleep.
-
Finished with my viewing and must take a little drive before writing the notes - so, let's get some postin' goin' on, please.
-
I can not do this alone.

I didn't even know about it. I would've at least recorded it, if I had.

Tomorrow is the end of August.
-
So I thought I’d put in a quick appearance
-
Before I go back to bed
-
Hard to believe.
-
Continued vibes fir TCBs BIL
-
And vibes for those that live with him
-
Hello boys
Hi, vixmom.
-
And vibes and hugs for TCB
-
I don5 know wher the days go
-
And vibes for those that live with him
I think the hose is in the backyard.
-
I seemed to be doing things all day
-
Yet nothing was really accomplished
-
Autumn is my favorite season of the year.
-
And vibes for those that live with him
I think the hose is in the backyard.
Aha! I fixed it while you were quoting!
-
Other than winter, spring and summer
-
Autumn is my favorite season of the year.
Autumn always feels like the real start of the year.
-
I guess that’s because of the school year
-
We have that nice hot weather and get to play outside
-
Then it gets cool, the days get shorter and it’s time to stay inside and buckle down
-
I loved going to college.
-
Haveing a new year in January, in the dead of winter just makes no sense to me
-
Tomorrow is the end of August.
Time to fill out my time sheet at work.
-
It’s just more of what is already going on
-
I loved going to college.
So did I
-
Anyway speaking of buckling down
-
I loved going to college.
I actually did, too...I just didn't enjoy the actual school work. ;)
-
Well good night, vixmom and George.
-
I have to be sitting at my desk in 6 and one half hours
-
So goodnight boys
-
Good night, Tom.
-
Good night, Vixmom.
-
Great work getting us through Page 5!
-
I helped...but not as much.
-
But now, it's time for the ...
-
PAGE SIX DANCE!!
-
Whew!
-
Today, I did pretty much nothing.
-
I finished the book that I was reading on my Kindle.
-
It was The Lost TreeRunner (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0176UX6SO/): Book 2 of The Justar Journal.
-
It's part of a trilogy, but all three books make up one story...they're not independent books.
-
So tomorrow, I'll be starting book 3, The List Keepers (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B017QOEIN2/).
-
If anyone is interested, book 1 is The Last Librarian (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016VAQVXM/).
-
I first got the first book in 2017 because it was on sale for 99¢.
-
I got the others because it's set in the future and in Portland, Oregon.
-
I thought that that was pretty cool.
-
They also mention Powell's Bookstore!
-
It's about the one-world government digitizing everything (books, money, etc.) and the final destruction of ALL physical books! :o
-
A small group of people have to stop this!
-
Of course, it won't be easy and people die, but it's interesting and quite well written.
-
I really want to find out how it all ends!
-
They're not incredibly long books, but they do have a LOT of chapters.
-
Book two has 73 chapters, book three has 78 and book one has 89! :o
