.....we shall see what we shall see.

DR JRand70, I look forward to more Christmas Carol reports.
What has me upset in the Blu-ray department is yet another announcement from Indicator that the Sweet Charity release is delayed yet again for some kind of production reason in the packaging department. But that's not the real upset. If all was well otherwise, I can live with a delay. That's just the trigger, as today's kids would say.
The true upset is their bizarre announcement that this would not, as it turns out, be the "roadshow" presentation. Somehow or other, the studio will not allow the use of the intermission break and Entr'acte, and the Exit Music. This kind of thing just boggles the mind. Will the movie buying public ever know what's up with that?

I'm not officially up yet, but my feeling about it is this and I bet I'm right: Kino, perhaps having helped pay or paid in full for the new transfer, asked Universal to stop Indicator from doing their roadshow version because they knew it would hurt their sales. There is no other scenario that makes sense.
DR Elmore, just a point of interest:
My CT DOL deposits, from day one, have hit my bank account every Tuesday morning without fail. No exceptions. Until last week, when for the first time, it wasn't there till Wednesday. Today looks like a repeat of that. Is this the new normal? Isn't that bizarre?
I know it's probably different in every state and every bank.

Last week was delayed a day because the government offices were closed on Monday. My payment arrived today. Send them an inquiry.
I had a shipment from Amazon UK (my first in a long time) that was the most horrendous packaging I've ever seen. They sent it via DHL (which was actually nice, for the speed in which it arrived), but they'd packaged it in a flimsy wrap-around piece of corrugated that, when delivered to me, was OPEN at one end and loose on the other. The open-end flap was actually separated from the rest. The DHL driver had to carefully set it on my front step to keep the contents wrapped and the wrapping more or less together. It's a bloody miracle that the two items in there were (1) actually there, and (2) completely and utterly unharmed.
Now I'm afraid to order anything else from them.
DR Elmore, I'm so sorry to hear about the freezer disaster.
Been there, done it. It's just terrible having to throw out what would have been a bunch of good meals. Not to mention the cleanup, etc.
When I worked with him, I never once was paid with any tax information or records, and, to my knowledge, neither was anyone else, absolutely no paperwork. Each of us individually went into another room with John, where fees were reckoned and payments made in traveler's checks. I cannot speak for the others, but this is what I observed. Hmmm . . .

Thanks!
I'm in Cast Recordings and Forgotten Musicals, but didn't know about this one. I'm in now. Thank you!
It looks like all he had to do was, you know... answer the question. My God, what a case.

I heard from Jeff, our super. The refrigerator service man will be here tomorrow between noon and five o'clock.
Bk, they're talking about Joe Brooks on the Forgotten Musicals site. Do you know why he never tried to put "You Light Up My Life" onstage? (Or maybe he did)
DR elmore3003 - is Val coming back, eventually?
Three to six inches of snow predicted here.
Vibes to John G for no more stones!

No, alas. The building management treated him very poorly and he left in mid-2018. Everyone misses him and we have a good super in Jeff. Val and I keep in touch, and he will always be the super in the A&T stories.
Another dear theatre friend has passed away....discovered in his apartment on Monday.....no details.....none needed.....he's gone.

Thank you. I think the stone has passed, but my lower back feels as if Mike Tyson's been using it for a punching bag.
Mom is home from the hospital. Weak and in pain, but she's home.

Do you have the results from the MRI? I am glad she is home. Is anyone with her?

My sister Annaliese is there for another day.

I am sure it is comforting for you to have your sister close enough she can be there for your mother.
Yes, we burn our roofs, and stab them. And that's on FUN foods.
Part of the roof of my mouth is permanently numb, thanks to the oral surgery I had a few years ago.

Crispy nachos can be especially painful if I am not careful ;)
