Well, you've read the notes, the notes were in stereo, and now it is time for you to post until the stereo cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: IMPECCABLE!

Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all.
-
I have discovered the new pill the doctor gave for the bladder stone causes insomnia. I can’t take it anymore. This is ridiculous.
-
I don’t know how I’ll function today.
-
I wish TCB had checked in. Hope he’s doing better.
-
Lt. IMPECCABLE is a great role in South Pacific.
-
Happy Veterans Day and thank you to any and all who served.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I'm sleeping poorly and I think it's the high temperatures this week. I had a lot of dreams that I do not remember and one about attending a performance of Candide with my friend Charlie Harmon that I sorta remember.
-
My only definite plans for today are to cart up 40 lbs of kitty litter from the lobby and to proofread the score and parts for my chart for the Philly Pops. The gala ball for which I wrote it has been moved from November to April 2021 because of Covid-19.
-
DR vixmom, I'm sorry to hear about your office and I hope everyone comes through it well. Enjoy your day off.
-
DR TCB, I hope all is well.
-
BK, when you began your story about the Columbia Record Club and the player for $9.95, which I also purchased, I was convinced the TOD would be about our first stereo recording. Mine was the original cast recording of Bye Bye Birdie, a Christmas gift.
-
DR JohnG, I hope all the children and staff at your church remain safe and healthy.
-
Kitty cleanup is finished. I have to make the bed and get some breakfast before I tote up the litter.
-
I have discovered the new pill the doctor gave for the bladder stone causes insomnia. I can’t take it anymore. This is ridiculous.
:(
-
I don’t know how I’ll function today.
Can you call in sick long enough to take a nap, and to call your doctor for an alternative medication?
-
I wish TCB had checked in. Hope he’s doing better.
I hope he is sleeping.
-
This seems to sum up the Fat Orange Slug's last four years.
-
DR George I have the first Dresden book marked to read but haven't done so yet.
-
Thinking of DR TCB and sending ~~~HEALING VIBES~~~
-
Did I get a page turn wrong yesterday? :P
Many are called, few are chosen...
-
Nice posts last night, DR George. Very Lucy Van Pelt of you. ;D
-
~~~HEALTH AND SAFETY VIBES~~~ for the children and staff of the school at DR John G's church
-
Good morning, all.
-
Health vibes for all!
-
Vibes for DR Vixmom's co-workers and for DR Vixmom!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Is the person who tested positive someone that you work closely with? Are people wearing masks while working or how are you separated?
-
I just ordered my Streetcat Bob 2021 calendar.
-
Page 2 Dance!
-
I must have too much 45 on the brain... I saw "look him up" in today's notes, but my mind read "lock him up." :P
-
DR John G - I am so very sorry to hear about what's going on with you. That really stinks.
~~~VIBES OF COMFORT AND REST~~~ to you.
-
I have juiced my lemons for the day. That is all.
-
TOD: bk, you must have hundreds, if not thousands, of arrangements sitting in your garage. Do you have a filing system?
-
I am working today, despite working for the government, and despite it being Veteran's Day. Everyone figures we're closed, so no one calls. It's kind of dumb. But we get paid double, so there's that.
-
I used to have a fairly decent stereo system, many years ago. That has all gone by the wayside. Now to listen to music I just have my phone and/or my computer. Since the sound is so terrible, emitting from those devices, I find I just don't listen to music all that much any more. It's sad, and kind of ironic, in that you can obtain almost anything now with a few clicks of the mouse, but it's not all that satisfying to listen to.
-
The reason I'm able to post now during working hours is that no one is calling in, hence no work to be done.
-
I expect it to go along like that all day.
-
Yes, I believe today is a NO MAIL DELIVERY DAY.
-
Vibes for DR JOHN G.
-
Vibes for DR VIXMOM......enjoy your surprise day off!
-
The Walnuts are hitting the wastebasket with great force this morning.
-
Recording went well. I am not as satisfied with my performance in this "special" as I was with our original episodes....but it gets the job done, I suppose.
-
Cooler today....and colder tomorrow.
-
Yesterday I bought some steaks and today I shall try to broil them....we shall see what happens.
-
My question ASK BK DAY:
I see a credit for Dialog Editor on some films. Does this person edit the dialog in the script OR is this person a technical person who edits the dialog soundtrack?
-
I don’t know how I’ll function today.
Can you call in sick long enough to take a nap, and to call your doctor for an alternative medication?
I’m up. Maybe four hours of sleep. The morning is okay because the decongestant will keep me awake. Worried about the afternoon, but I don’t have many meetings scheduled.
-

What time is dinner?

I am working today, despite working for the government, and despite it being Veteran's Day. Everyone figures we're closed, so no one calls. It's kind of dumb. But we get paid double, so there's that.
Enjoy that double pay.

As you can see, this pandemic has given me plenty of time to write.
:)
And, I especially enjoy writing about people I knew (e.g. Christopher Lee, Abe Vigoda, Paul Henreid, etal.).
-
Maybe I'll do Bruce Kimmel next.
;)
-
Good Morning - the past two days, I've logged on the HHW and didn't post. It's been a hectic few days. Things are going smoothly, so there is nothing really to report about. One day at a time.
-
I have been watching a lot of Christopher Lee movies on TCM....most entertaining.
He was much better looking that Peter Cushing who lived in Whitstable.

Forceful walnuts. Hmmmm.

Glad your taping went well, DR Jrand70.

THREE?

I'm gun shy now, darn it! 8)

Wednesday afternoon greetings! Richard has returned from the Veterans Day observance at our local cemetery and I've been puttering. We're going to pick up library materials and groceries this afternoon.
-
DR JOHN G dinner is ready. The steaks are broiled, the biscuits are baked, the french fries are done, and the salad is in the fridge.....
-
I am sorry to hear about the developments at DR Vixmom's office and at the child care center at DR John G's church.
Our granddaughter started day care the day after her baptism in a center near their house. By Thursday the center was closed due to a staff member testing positive and our little family in Illinois is now quarantined for 2 weeks. Rob and Mary Linda both had tests yesterday (results in a few days), but the baby will only be tested if she develops symptoms that "clinically warrant" it.
Color me concerned...
-
Thanks DR singdaw.
It's nice because NOW I really have nothing on the calendar ... just a Christmas Carol meeting on Sunday night.....the rest of the year is MINE!
-
I did buy a new mop and a new mop bucket....so those will be christened later in the week.....maybe....
-
Boy, you (and they) got that right, DR Jrand70.
(Referring to the Google designer BS.)
-
I, too, have been enjoying some Christopher Lee lately, especially in a few movies I'd never watched before. During October when TCM was running the usual horror stuff, they threw in a few later Hammer (or similar) films that I captured on my DVR and still need to watch. And I greatly enjoyed a couple of others off my shelf.

Speaking of weird or novelty record covers, as we were a few weeks ago: here's a "theme" you couldn't release today. I don't remember ever coming across this one. Someone posted it on Facebook.
-
Great cover, ChasSmith.
-
After I lugged the 40 lbs to the 3rd floor, I left the carton outside my door and lay down fore a while with the three cats. I got up to proof the score and orchestra parts, but I got sidetracked by an email request from my goddaughter Charlotte, Then Joshie called, and now it's almost time to feed my babies.
-
Yesterday my friend Jason invited me to Thanksgiving dinner at his apartment and I accepted. I just called him and declined. Much as I wanted to be there, Covid-19 scares me off. I'll have Thanksgiving dinner delivered.
-
My question ASK BK DAY:
I see a credit for Dialog Editor on some films. Does this person edit the dialog in the script OR is this person a technical person who edits the dialog soundtrack?
It's a post-production job, editing the dialogue that's used in the various takes that make up the edited version of the film. Same thing for music editor, etc.
-
Did I miss that Jrand has watched the Kritzerland show?
-
I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep.
-

We are absolutely not "socializing" this year on either Thanksgiving or Christmas, and our standard New Year's Eve party is off. For that, we'll do a little Zoom session or something with our usual suspects when it comes time to watch our various balls drop, and everyone is good with that. A long time tradition set aside for one year is acceptable.
-
The steaks are broiled, the biscuits are baked, the french fries are done, and the salad is in the fridge.....
YUMMILICIOUS!

I am sorry about your plans, DR elmore3003, but I would do the same. Hugs!

Is the person who tested positive someone that you work closely with? Are people wearing masks while working or how are you separated?
Yes, have things changed. It seemed your office had been taking extraordinary precautions.

;D I get a kick out of the wastebasket game.

Oh Ginny I can relate to your concern. Keith has been watching the numbers in Illinois go up once again preventing us from visiting.
-
STAY WELL VIBES FOR THE FAMILY OF DR GINNY!
-
I am pleased to report that everyone from the office had had rapid tests today, most of us at the same facility
-
Vixdad came along and had one too
-
We all were declared negative for covid
-
The one member who did get it is the one who conducts the closings so he probably got it from a client
-
We conduct all the closings in a closed room separate from the rest of the office with its own outdoor entrance
-
We all were declared negative for covid
Yay for negativity!
-
I have had A Moment with You in my head all day, a delayed reaction to Sunday’s show. And that’s a good thing.
-
I have had A Moment with You in my head all day, a delayed reaction to Sunday’s show. And that’s a good thing.
I've had the same, with "No, Marygraaen!" 8)
-
No work to catch up with on this quiet day?
Oh, there's always work for me to do between calls.
-
We all were declared negative for covid
Fantastic news!
-
Really happy to hear that, DR vixmom!

~~~CONTINUED PACKING VIBES~~~ for DR Matthew.
-
Good news from DR VIXMOM.
Vibes for DR GINNY & family.....
-
I am sad to say MR BK that I have not watched the Kritzerland show yet......I am suffering from a malaise that is difficult to shake....probably concerning the increase in COVID cases and the refusal of someone to follow the rules and common sense....
I'm sure I will be fine in a day or two......
-
Well, the Kritzerland show will cheer you right up!
-
Had the Caesar salad - very good.
-
As I do my work, I'm listening to Entremont do the complete piano works of someone named Ravel.
-
MR BK I am sure that is true.....and thanks for answering my question.
-
I'm almost afraid to take a nap. And almost too tired not to.
-
I know, I will go water the yard.
-
That was overdue. Several plants were wilting in the sun.
-
I need to go outside, too - and clear 8 inches of snow off the car.
-
The snow is over a half inch of ice.
-
Hope I can get the car doors open.
-
What page is this? ;D
-
I also managed to harvest about 10 chile tepins, which the birds were nice enough to plant in the back yard. These are fiery little buggars, and they freeze beautifully until needed. One chile is enough to give heat to a Dutch oven full of food.
-
I need to go outside, too - and clear 8 inches of snow off the car.
Yikes. It's in the upper 70s here.
-
Quelle est cette odeur agréable?
-
What page is this? ;D
:)
-
I'd imagine anyone living with DR John G. would have occasion to say that often.
-
Tonight we have agreeable odors, but not from our own hands. Beef tips and roasted chicken from Famous Dave's BBQ.
-
Well, I got out of school at my usual 2:15pm. It's been very quiet since we seem to have the tech under control with the hybrid learning happening. Next week, we add 2 more morning classes and 1 more afternoon and we will be totally on campus - except for those students who wish to remain home.
Got to Trader Joes for some things for lunch and such. Home now working on more work for tomorrow, hopefully I'll be done soon. I plan to make a dent in the packing this evening, we'll see how that goes. If all goes as planned, I move 2 weeks from Friday. I think it will be fine. As I see things getting done, it's more ambition to get the entire thing done. Purging is healthy.
-
I had set a goal that I wasn't going to spend more than $5 on a new book this year and that I would read more of my own books. I have largely kept to that. But there were three exceptions: BK's Simply, a volume of Cole Porter letters and a cookbook from my favorite restaurant in Ireland.
I paid $5.95 for the Porter letters. And I found the Avoca Cafe Soups cookbook last night in my insomniac period. Without thinking, I almost bought the book new for $27. Then I saw a used copy for $5.95 that also came with free shipping. I bought the used copy and it arrives on Friday.
I'm really looking forward to getting this. The first Avoca Cafe cookbook I picked up was so good that I made every soup recipe in it, which numbered about 20. I've never done that with another cookbook. There are always recipes that don't interest me or are too tortured to attempt. But these were relatively easy and each one delicious. I've made a half-dozen many times over, which is something else I rarely do.
-
Purging is healthy.
Tell that to Karen Carpenter.
I know, bad taste. But I couldn't resist.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
I tried to watch the KL show "live" on Sunday, but was preoccupied with another food delivery fiasco. How annoying! I'll have to go back to it when life is quieter.
-
Glad to hear that Vixmom, Vixdad, and most coworkers are OK after all.
-
Vibes to DR Ginny and her family in Illinois!
-
Vibes to those at John G's church.
-
Any word from TCB? I hope he's doing OK. Sending him vibes.
-
Sleeping vibes for John G.
-
We all were declared negative for covid
Excellent.
-
I have a little cold, but I trust that's all it is. I cancelled today's hair appointment and am just being a couch potato. I'm feeling better now, but am erring on the side of caution.
-
The one member who did get it is the one who conducts the closings so he probably got it from a client
May he have a mild case and completely recover.
-
I am sad to say MR BK that I have not watched the Kritzerland show yet......I am suffering from a malaise that is difficult to shake....probably concerning the increase in COVID cases and the refusal of someone to follow the rules and common sense....
I'm sure I will be fine in a day or two......
I have been suffering from the same problem, due to those same people plus having a clue when I can go to Chicago. I am fortunate to be able to go for long walks the last couple of days. They help.
Hugs and vibes to you.
-
Health vibes to all.
TTFN.
-
That was overdue. Several plants were wilting in the sun.
I hope you sleep well tonight.
-
I need to go outside, too - and clear 8 inches of snow off the car.
Yikes. It's in the upper 70s here.
I am thrilled it was 50 here and somewhat sunny. A wind storm is supposed to blow in tomorrow.
-
DR George both Peace Talks & Battle Ground are in the Goodreads semifinal round for best fantasy. Which one would you vote for?
-
Found out that five staff members at our early childhood development center have tested positive for the virus.
-
FIVE! Vibes for everyone!
-
Finished with work, all of which was to do with the December Kritzerland - the MD has all but three songs so he can now do tracks, and the singers have mostly got their stuff now.
-
I had a few chips and taffy candies (not at the same time) to fill out the calorie count to 1000.
-
DR John G. - hats off to you! I would find it impossible to stick by a rule like that - especially the way the cost of Kindle books seems to be rising all the time.
-
We are at SIXes and Sevenses.
-
Good evening.
I am starting to feel better.
-
Glad to see so many posts today.
-
I guess you can survive without me.
Good night.
-
DR John G. - hats off to you! I would find it impossible to stick by a rule like that - especially the way the cost of Kindle books seems to be rising all the time.
The most I’ve paid for a Kindle book is $1.99 for the 20 volumes in Zola’s Rougon-Macquart cycle. I’m on volume 10.
-
I am starting to feel better.
And we’re very happy to read this.
No.
DR TCB - glad to hear a bit of good news from you. Thanks for checking in.
I'm still reading Battle Ground, so I probably shouldn't vote for that, but if it's the end of the series, it probably should get my vote. We'll see if I finish it in time.
I get a lot of my Kindle books from OverDrive through the library, but once in a while, a book that I really want doesn't have a Kindle version. Like the newest Cormoran Strike book, Troubled Blood by Robert Galbraith (a.k.a. J. K. Rowling). It's only available as an epub book, which isn't a Kindle format, so I had to add it to my Libby app on my table and I'll read it there. :P
-
I don't like reading on my tablets because they're bigger and heavier than my Kindle, and the screen is shiny.
-
And since we're so close...
-
PAGE SEVEN DANCE!!
-
Right now, I'm reading Battle Ground but my OverDrive hold for Troubled Blood came up. I don't usually read more than one book at a time, but I've done it before, and I can do it again.
-
I went ahead and downloaded the epub version of Troubled Blood to my tablet because I don't want to wait until I'm finished with Battle Ground. And who knows when I'd be able to get the book again. There are 79 holds on 14 copies.
-
Ooh, there's actually a concerto disc in this set because they inadvertently left it out of the concerto box, which I bought back in 2011. So, what a treat.
That's pretty cool, BK!
I get that except I prefer the epub format.
