Kitty cleanup is over. Annabelle did not eat her breakfast - seafood feast and tuna morsels - so Thatch and Stella shared hers.  She's been moaning to me that she's hungry, but my attitude is there's plenty of dry food sitting out so she won't starve.  Some mornings, she's the first one to come running when I bring out their dishes.  This morning she sat in the bathtub.

So when I am looking for information at newspapers.com about Frances Farmer and her time in Indianapolis, I have to wade through hundreds of pages that include her television program listing.....only now and then does a real article or photo pop up.

I finally learned to look only ONE year at a time.....I am up to 1961.....

Made one complete pass with the snowblower so Nathan can get out and go to work without packing all the snow down. I think we only got three to four inches, at most, but it continues coming down lightly but steadily, and we’ll still have to do a complete cleanup later after the plow has come through.

It’s still in the shop waiting for the insurance company to either pay for the repairs or declare it a loss and pay me. It’s 18 years old, and the value is now too close to the cost of a typical repair, so, we’ll see what happens. I wanted to drive this one for another year, but I know it’s very close to replacement time.

I knew that the federal tax was being withheld from my unemployment benefits, but I couldn't remember about state. I checked the 1099G and it was indeed, I'm happy to say. So it may not have been enough, but a good part of mine should be covered. But I'm not doing my taxes yet, so it'll be a while before the jury returns a verdict on the whole damned thing.

Next time I am at a Dollar Tree I will look at their flashlights.  I have numerous ones but am partial to the particular style because they are soft to hold.

Yes, the larger ones look a bit expensive.  We really do need at least one in case of an emergency.

Jennifer Connelly is really good in Snowpiercer. And she wears the tallest stilettos, which can't be easy given the motion of the train. (Ha!)

Kerry's brother, Mike O'Malley, has a fairly sizable role in the show. We don't know yet whether to trust him, but we want to like him because he's personable.

It's a simple lost love/rediscover love under moments of conflict that will definitely have a happily ever after...or at least, happily for now.

What a coinkydink!  The chapter that I just finished had one of the two would-be lovers remember a time when they went camping before they expressed their affection for each other.

I went to the market at lunch. Found some cartons of stock, a few bottles of Perrier and kombucha. They were out of about everything else.

Oh, they did have ice cream.

What is a kombucha??

Everything OK with that car, DR ChasSmith?  You may have reported on that, but I missed it.

Good luck, ChasSmith!  My car will be 23 years old in June (still runs fairly well), and my mortgage should be paid off at the end of this year, so I hope to continue to drive my car until well after the mortgage is paid off, and then look a new/another car. :)

Your mortgage will be paid off this year?  I just can’t believe that.

So, actually, Washington State is on the Atlantic Ocean.

Neither can I!  After I refinanced into a 15-year mortgage from my original 30-year when I bought my condo, it was going to be paid off in April of 2023.  Even though I've only been paying about $64 more per month, it'll end more than a year early!

Cendrillon is finishing up and then it's on to another Saint-Saens opera.

Is that Buffy Saint-Saens?

This is an interesting article...Texas set the stage for its energy crisis more than 80 years ago (https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/texas-set-stage-its-energy-crisis-more-80-years-ago-n1258341).

Texas utilities vowed decades ago to never allow power outside of the state, thus avoiding federal regulation. The decision has left the state alone to deal with its current energy crisis.
