Thanks for all the patented HHW vibes. I found myself awake in the middle of the night, got on the computer, and was able to book vaccine appointments for myself and the DH at a pharmacy only 5 miles away. Our first Pfizer doses are tomorrow morning.

Another poor night of sleep, sadly. I had lots of incomprehensible dreams, none of which I really remember, but I do remember that Rebecca Luker appeared in one of them, and in another I was in a bank where there was some monstrous killer like an alien in one of the elevators. In the last dream, just before the alarm rang, my team from the olkd Toyland project was in my childhood home's basement, taking apart the stairs, lifting the washer and dryer out on pulleys, and the head of the foundarion was looking at old magazines.

I have a bit of writing today, followed by more Oh, Boy! work. I have a lot of things sitting in the lobby that I need to bring up, so I will deal with that once kitty cleanup is finished.

Last night we watched the next "Thin Man" movie, After he Thin Man. I laughed a couple of times, but I felt it was a real letdown after the original. There were too many shouted lines, and I got tired of all the cutesie-poo moments given to Asta, who really is an adorable dog.

I enjoyed Lou Malnati’s when I was in Chicago about 18 months ago. Not my favorite pizza style but good. There was a cousin restaurant, Pizano’s, though, that had a low-carb version with a sausage crust that I enjoyed more.

I was in and out of the hospital in no time yesterday. Big difference when you go for a vaccination at noon, as opposed to eight in the morning when (apparently) a lot of employees are also arriving for work.
However, the parking was crazy. They have a huge parking garage, and at noon I had to go to the topmost level and take one of the few remaining spots at the far end, away from the building. I'm guessing (out of pure ignorance) that it's visitors for the most part. But what do I know? I'll tell you. Nothing at all, that's what.

Damn! I just brought up my packages and there is a moron in the Amazon shipping dept. My cats love dried Bonito flakes, which I call kitty potato chips. They are delicate, very thin dried slices of tuna sealed in a capacious plastic bag, and should never be shipped in a padded envelope. The padded envelope I opened this morning, which a delivery man had left in the lobby under a heavy carton, contained a plastic bag filled with Bonito powder. I am not amused.

We found 9:00 was easy. Waiting until 11:00 the morning of the ice storm was a good idea, not that we could have driven the roads earlier, as we missed the crowds.

Last year, I ordered a sugar-free frosting mix and it was sent in a sealed plastic envelope, which wouldn't have been a problem, except that the package of frosting mix inside the plastic mailing envelope had somehow unsealed and was loose in the mailer! I didn't even open it. I just wrote, "Damaged. Return to sender," and put it back in the mail and got my refund. I didn't reorder because the pictures on Amazon's website showed the back of the package. What you did was add your own butter and vanilla, and I could just do that with the powdered erythritol that I already had, so why would I need to buy a separate (and more expensive) "frosting mix" when it was essentially just a sugar replacement anyway?? ;)

Yesterday's omelet turned out so well, I had another one today.
BUT I added some ham which I purchased at WalMart today specifically for it.....it was very good. I couldn't finish it. So it is the fridge to be served for tomorrow's lunch.

I always add at least 8 oz of sliced white mushrooms to my chicken pie...first I cook them with sliced sweet onion before I add it to the chicken to brown

Sent out a Kritzerland eBlast about the campaign. That bit of business to an hour because they've changed everything and the template I've been using for a decade is outmoded and done. So, I called and a nice gal talked me through everything and helped make a similar template that's a little easier to use. But now AOL doesn't display the image - gmail is fine. So, if I want the image displayed on e-mail platforms that are outmoded, then I have to do a few more steps.

The chicken pot pies are out of the oven. And they are beautiful. Taste mighty fine, too.

That Ina Garten. This was one of her recipes. She has you cook 4 to 6 cups of chicken, add it to 2 onions, carrots, peas and more. Then divide in 4 ramekins and cover with dough.

There was so much filling (just about half) that I made a pot of soup with the rest, merely diluting it down with more chicken stock. Tastes rich.
I'll add pasta to the soup before I eat it.

Just put up a super rare first edition of Bye Bye Birdie, the rarest published musical (along with Hello, Dolly! although this one's rarer). Prices on the ABE range from 5K to $800 in this condition. We're well under the 800, so if this kind of thing interests you, snag it before someone else does. :) Yes, it's pricey, but it's never going down in value and it's already priced under value.

I got my second CoVid 19 vaccination today.

After the vaccine, I went for my pulmonologist appointment.

I was not a happy camper.

First there was an hour of breathing tests.

This led to me having to walk the hallways for five minutes on a walker.

How are you feeling after the shot? Moderna or the other one?

Followed by another five minute walk with oxygen

The nurse said I definitely needed to have oxygen.

Then finally I got to see the doctor.

First thing he wants to know is why I had an MRI in 2020.

I had no idea. I didn’t even remember that I had one.

Well he said that a two year old MRI wouldn’t help, so I needed a new one done before he could make any judgements on me.

He finally realized that 2020 was last year, but he still needed a new test (he said).
-
Give me a break! It could have been in December, which would make it only three months old, but what the Hell, I am made of money.
-
Then he says that my lungs appear smaller than they should, but he can’t tell if it is a medical condition, or if it is my obesity!
-
He then takes me to the front counter, so that the girl can book me an MRI appointment.
-
The “girl” calls and gets me scheduled for March 29. Okay.
-

And she then gives me a card for my follow-up on June 16.

But, she tells me, that the doctor will be out of the office in June so I will be seeing his PA.

Or, if I would like, I could wait until July to actually see the doctor.
