And now, I'm off to bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept rather well last night. Even Stella behaved.
-
Thatch gave me a scare. Just after I turned off the lights, he uttered a long scream from his perch on the windowsill. Because of his heart, which will eventually kill him, any behavior or sound from him that is out of his usual range of sounds or activity - and he is a very sweet, relatively contented little cat - puys me into panic mode. So, I turned the lights on to track him down and check on him. Luckily, it was nothing, and he spent most of the sleeping beside me. This morning, he ate his breakfast before gobbling up Stella's and Annabelle's leftovers.
-
I have to change the clocks today and pay the biulls I did not pay yesterday. I detest this constant shift for Daylight Savings Time and believe the asses behind it should make up their minds one way or the other and freeze it.
-
After moving furniture, crawling around the floor, and cleaning the area behind my nightstand with the dustbuster, I was in no mood to pay bills. The cats and I watched our soaps instead.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
It's a lazy Saturday. I love it.
-
This bowling alley 90-second video is making the rounds. It was filmed just a few miles from where I live.
It was shot in one take with no CGI.

I have never been to the establishment in question.
-
Here is a longer 4-minute short about "the making of"...

Good morning, all.

Good morning, all.

Healthcare vibes for TCB.
What I don't understand about the whole thing is the lack of any sense of urgency on the part of these doctors and establishments. Patient has breathing issues? Well, I see we have an opening a few months from now...
I don't get that.
-
I have to go and do a few things.
Plus, there's the smell of BACON COOKING.
Be back later!
-
DR TCB is correct.....Clifton Webb is on Miss Mansfield's left.....so to speak.
-
Yesterday seemed like Saturday. But today is Saturday.
-
I shall have to think about the TOD, although the list DR GEORGE posted is very helpful.
-
I don't get that.
Neither do I.
-
UPDATE:
The bacon is in my belly.
-
Shots in the arm and bacon in the belly.
Sounds good.
-
Cash in the register.
That's what we need next.
-
I will sorely miss that hour of sleep tonight.
-
What a week it's been!
I just wanted to say that.
But it's true -- what with vaccinations, BK's Indiegogo, a beautiful two-day preview of spring, and I forget what else. Then last night, out of the blue, I got offered my first tentative gig for this fall. It won't be announced for a while, and there might be reasons that it doesn't come to pass. But if it does, it will be my first ever (after all these years) and totally unplanned and unexpected
[REDACTED] .
-
Good news, DR ChasSmith.
-
A second attempt at getting up for the day.
-
Good news, DR ChasSmith.
Most excellent.
-
Two!
-
TOD:
Sullivan’s Travels
Two for the Road
The Grapes of Wrath
Show Boat (James Whale version)
The Good Companions
The Seventh Seal
It Happened One Night
PeeWee’s Big Adventure
The Muppet Movie
Little Miss Sunshine

Every time DR elmore3003 posts about the Giant Ladder, I think of this cartoon:
-
I'm up, I'm up - six and a half hours of sleep.
-
My new leather jacket has arrived. It's a vast improvement over the first. I am quite happy.
-
That's good, DR elmore3003. We'll see what it looks like after Thatch has his way with it.
-
And speaking of animal companions, here's what Barnum dreams about...
-
bk-
Did you see that a question was posed on the Indiegogo campaign page?
-
I saw a question yesterday and answered it. Is there a new one?
-
Good Morning. Today is the day for shot #2. I worried about the reaction. My brother had none, one of my best pals had the laundry list of symptoms. Guess I shouldn't worry too much. Other than that, yesterday we had an in-person rehearsal for Urinetown. It was great just being there with these kids that I've only seen on Zoom since February. Everyone was safe, etc and then the director and I went out for a quick bite and a drink to celebrate "being together" again!
-
My new leather jacket has arrived. It's a vast improvement over the first. I am quite happy.
Can't wait to see the new Brando styled avatar!

Ditto.
-
I'm trying curbside pickup at the neighborhood supermarket. They marked up every item at least 15 cents and charge $5 for the privilege of not entering the store. I ordered a pint of ice cream among other things. We'll see how that works.
-
So now I have to decide what kind of pie to make for tomorrow's Pi Day. Chocolate pudding will be the main ingredient, but with peanut butter or mint. Not both.
-
Is there a new one?
No, not new. Glad you saw it and responded.
-
It's balmy. Going out for a walk.
-
Good afternoon!
-
Congrats on reaching 50%, BK!
-
That's good, DR elmore3003. We'll see what it looks like after Thatch has his way with it.
It's already hanging in the closet out of his reach.
-
The arm is still sore, but I managed to get about 30 minutes worth of sawing and limb chopping done. I have some nasty volunteers that have sprung up in the backyard that have to be taken care of and I have some shrubs that need to be cut way back in order for then to survive.
-
I came in because it started to sprinkle a little. I didn't want to melt.
-
From DR George
The Wisconsin lawmaker said he would have felt threatened if Black Lives Matter or Antifa had stormed the Capitol
On the upside, at least he admitted Antifa wasn't involved ::)
-
Healthcare vibes for TCB.

I don't get that.
They have a lot of patients. I get that. What I don't understand in this case is why the doctor can't come to a conclusion once having read the MRI report, begin treatment at that time.
-
I will sorely miss that hour of sleep tonight.
I agree.
-
On the upside, at least he admitted Antifa wasn't involved ::)
;D
-
I've met a few.
-
I've met a few.
LOL!
-
Back from breakfast at Hugo's, picking up packages (screeners) and now home. Five hours to show time.
-
No action so far today, but I think weekends are pretty deadly for Indiegogo. Still, one would be nice :)
-
Literally, as I was typing "one would be nice" one came in :) So, another would be nice. Let's see if that works.
-
Literally, as I was typing "another would be nice" another came in. We're jumped to 52%. So, another would be nice. :) Let's see if that works.
-
That would be nice.
Continued GO GO vibes for MR BK.
-
LOL DR singdaw I'm sure Barnum feels just like that.
-
Iowa is playing again in about half and hour......so we shall see what we shall see.
Ohio just won over Michigan.
-
Picked up my groceries. All I had to do was pop open the trunk and they filled it. Strange.
-
The ice cream was still frozen. Good stuff.
-
I stopped by the library and picked up a few items that had come in. One was a collection of Beethoven's piano trios performed by Daniel Barenboim and his son, violinist Michael Barenboim. Who knew that Beethoven wrote a trio based on the song, I Am Schneider's Cockatoo?
-
I need a nap.
-
The ice cream was still frozen. Good stuff.
Do you plan to continue shopping this way?
-
Maybe.
-
John I am glad I finished reading Klara and the Sun. I had also expected a fun book which it wasn't.
-
53%!!!
-
And just crossed $4,000.
-
Congratulations, BK!
-
John I am glad I finished reading Klara and the Sun. I had also expected a fun book which it wasn't.
Ishiguro isn't a fun writer.
-
At least not my idea of fun. Good, yes. Fun, no. Wodehouse is fun.
-
I made a chocolate pudding and peanut butter pie.
-
It'll be ready tomorrow.
-
Congrats to MR BK!
-
Iowa just got beaten by Illinois......
-
Finishing up Stephen King's Later. It's a short book, but really effective.
-
The wind is really howling out there and has been for days.
-
One hour to show time. Hope we have some repeat offenders :)
-
That took a full minute to post
-
Question for DR George - did you ever get that brittle delivered? Was it wonderful?

True, but you said fun and the blurb seemed like it might be.

Wodehouse is a great example of fun:)

Yes, please.
I have never been a big fan of lemon bars, however, almond flour ones sound good.
-
And, here we go!
-
We go here and.
-
And go here we.
-
It is 63 degrees right now.
-
Going!
-
Great show!!!!
-
Sorry; I wanted to attend the Q&A but wasn't, as they say, "camera-ready."
-
I hope the Indiegogo gets a boost from the showing.
-
Good night, friends.
-
I managed to watch all four showings, and I can say I enjoyed tonight's more than ever.
-
Not to mention, STELLA joined us tonight, and y'all missed her!
-
I managed to watch all four showings, and I can say I enjoyed tonight's more than ever.
I loved it more the second time around.
-
I remain shocked, shocked, that Annabelle didn't get up there.
-
So is everybody prepared to LOSE AN HOUR?
-
Here I go to lose mine. Cheers, everyone.
-
Regarding the movie, Under the Yum-Yum Tree: not a single laugh. The cast was wasted, so was the time I took to watch much of it. I did skip maybe 40 minutes. It was that painful.
-
What fun tonight was - we had about thirty people watch, maybe a bit more and the Q&A was really fun this time - Jason Graae was there and many others, about fifteen in all.
-
54%!!! Hoping we go up a bit more tonight.
-
I am glad tonight went well.
-
We always change our clocks on Saturday night. This year Keith said he doesn't want to get up too early in the morning and to leave them alone.
-
Freyja is sick. If she is feeling better tomorrow we plan to video chat. I think her sleep schedule will be off for a few days, or more. I am not sure what times she will be available.
-
'night

Almond flour sounds like something I can understand. Unlik almond milk. How many of those little suckers do you have to milk to get one glass?
-
The other night I watched the Brandy/Whitney Houston of R & H’s CINDERELLA.
-
I had never seen this version before.
-
So, you will understand my confusion when our heroine, and her Prince disguised as a peasant began the telecast with “The Sweetest Sounds.”
-
Say what?
-
They also threw in another song not originally in the show, but I have forgotten what it was.
-
Actually, it was a sweet production, I guess.
-
One more post.
-
Page 5
-
Today I picked up my new once-a-day inhaler. $188.00!!
-
Anyway, I doubt I will watch that version of CINDERELLA, again.
-
Tonight was CAMELOT night.
-
I truly love that movie, in spite of Richard Harris.
-
Naturally, I cried,as I always do when Guinevere says that someday there will be forgiveness in Arthur’s eyes again, but she won’t be there to see it.
-
As always, it amazes me that Lionel Jeffries playing the ancient King Pellenore was only 40 years old when that film was made.
-
Hi, Tom.
-
And Franco Nero was, well, Franco Nero.
-
Then I watched Part 1 of JESUS OF NAZARETH. THE Franco Zeffirelli production.
-
Hello, George.
-
I was at my mom's most of the day. We played Scrabble. I actually came in second place! It's quite unusual for me to have done so well!
-
Today I picked up my new once-a-day inhaler. $188.00!!
:o
~~~Vibes that It's VERY Effective!!~~~
Yup...that makes no sense. ::)
54%!!! Hoping we go up a bit more tonight.
Woo hoo!!
-
Robert Powell is just wonderful as Jesus. I love his voice.
-
Question for DR George - did you ever get that brittle delivered? Was it wonderful?
OMG! Yes and YES!! ;D Thanks for the link! It was exceedingly wonderful! I don't know if I'll get it again (it was also quite pricey!), but I shared some at work and everyone loved it!
-
One hour to show time. Hope we have some repeat offenders :)
Sorry I missed it, this time. I was still at my mom's.
-
I made a chocolate pudding and peanut butter pie.
Nice. Enjoy!
-
So now I have to decide what kind of pie to make for tomorrow's Pi Day. Chocolate pudding will be the main ingredient, but with peanut butter or mint. Not both.
I almost forgot about Pi Day! A couple of weeks ago, my sister gave me some organic instant puddings that for some reason she didn't want. Two each of chocolate, vanilla and strawberry. I was thinking about getting a ready-made graham cracker pie crust and making a Neapolitan pudding pie! It sounds good to me. :)
INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW!! Otherwise, congrats, ChasSmith, and Break Legs!!
Shots in the arm and bacon in the belly.
Sounds good.
Sounds like the title of something or other. ;)
-
And reverting back to CINDERELLA for a minute, Paolo Montalban was better in this.show than he was in MAMMA MIA onstage.
