Somebody put together a CD of HELLO, DOLLY!, that alterbnated all the Dollies doing different songs in the correct order. There was Carol and Mary and Pearl and Barbra and Phyllis Diller and Ethel and maybe Ann Miller. It was very cool.
:)
Well, my unemployment remains a mess. I was told on Sunday, after certifying every damned day last week, that my claim for the week ending 3/28 had finally gone through, so I tried to certify yeaterday for the week ending 4/04. This morning I was told that my last certification was for 3/21. Nothing has stuck. What the hell?

Mikey is the one cat who won't eat tuna. Food in cans, treats, whatever. If it's tuna, he's not interested.
For him, the most exciting opening line in a book would be:
"The humans had once again left some pens and pencils on the desk."

Today is the birthday of Goddard Lieberson (1911-1977), cast album producer extraordinaire.
Good afternoon. The weekend was great, got to see my family yesterday and receive a hug from my mom. We all had a lovely time. It's spring break this week, and I'm working on the shows etc. Hopefully will get a lot of things done.
For those who still believe the myth that Miss Frances Farmer had a lobotomy, here is an interview with her from April 1, 1958. She is with her new husband, grifter Lee Mikesell....
And remember she didn't work in the accounting department, she worked in reservations - dammit! It is most entertaining.

152% and only 1100 away from our 12,500. Just got the cost estimates for the additional stuff and as I knew it would be it's expensive. We can definitely do the commentary for Tonight's the Night, but that basically takes us to what we'll clear after fees. If we continue to go up, then I can maybe add three commentaries on three Outside the Box episodes, which would be fun to do. And if we get to 12.5 then I can add the Dirty Harry uncut trailer, which I'd love to do, and can add two performances from the online Kritzerland shows, which would be fun - but the more we make the more we add. Right now, doing the Pure Audio Sandy Bainum ME thing is out of reach but who knows what will happen in the next two days.
154%!!!

This morning I am finally feeling better than I have for the past two days. Perhaps it was a delayed reaction to the Covid vaccine?
I just did an hour and a half of bramble clearing. Mainly raspberries, which grow pretty crazy around here. While we love the few that we can pick and eat, they actually yield SO damned few berries that it's not worth all the pain of trying to walk around them the rest of the year in all the places they take root. But an hour and a half gets a lot of area cleared, so I did well today.
Now, you'd think I'd come back inside being a lot more comfortable on a day when it's only 60 degrees and breezy. Sadly, it doesn't work that way. No matter how nice the weather is while I'm out doing stuff like that. I sweat like a damned hog. Not that I'm so knowledgeable about how much hogs sweat. Does anyone know? Anyway, it's more comfortable while *doing* the work for the most part, but by the time I've done an hour or more of it, I'm a complete mess by the time I get back in the house.
Busy day. I hardly stopped.
I explain to people that I'm having surgery next week and this week is very busy in preparation, but they still seem to think I sit around with nothing to do. I suspect they THEY are sitting around with nothing to do!
I know that none of your DRs are like that!
Is anyone watching ATLANTIC CROSSING on PBS? I watched the first episode. It was quite suspenseful. Looks like a good series.
Jane, I'll let you know as I proceed with THE RESTAURANT.
Oh, and just when I was sleeping nicely we had an EARTHQUAKE! At 4:45 am. The building shook and the windows rattled. Gawd!

DR TCB when you have difficulty breathing have you found things you can do that help?
I don't really have anything to say right now.

When has that ever stopped either one of us.
I've never seen it.
