Well, you've read the notes, the notes were misdirected, and now it is time for you to post until the misdirected cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: PLETHORA!
-
That's really too bad about the bad video directing. You'd think that someone would have a different opinion on his camera work.
:-\
-
Good morning, all!
-
It was a strange night of sleep. I woke around 11:30 and my right leg was behaving badly. I tried sleeping for about an hour on my large leg-supporting pillow and that helped. The rest of the night was very restless but faithful little Thatch stayed with me. Annabelle has abandoned me for her aerie in the bookcases.
-
I woke around 3:30 following a dream in which I was in a sinking ship, the Titanic or some other, and I was trying to drag a large bag of dry goods I was taking somewhere. It opened at the bottom opf a staircase to the deck and I had coats, sweaters, etc. all over the place. I got to the deck, and the ship seemed to be a battleship or aircraft carrier.
-
Then I dreamed I was walking in Central Park, perhaps, with an orchestrator wh did not want to join Local 802, and I tld him, you can't work on Broadway without becoming a member. Then I was sitting in a rehearsal for the New York City Gay Men's Chorus, and Susan Lucci was rehearsing with them. We had a brief talk about our late friend Bill Tynes.

BK, I don't think the Royal Ballet has any say about Opus Arte's production of their videos. I sent Opus arte an email telling them what a lousy job they were doing with their ballet videos and got no response. I think the thing to do is to post comments about the videos on Amazon.co.uk.

Tomorrow morning is laundry day, so I must put that together today so I can invade the laundry room tomorrow as soon as the cats are fed. I need to get the dustbuster out and clean up a ton of kitty kibble.
-
I scheduled by bone scan exam for Friday morning at 11:00, and today I several phone calls to return about volunteer help.
-
DR singdaw, I got the new Meredith Willson book, but the author is one of those academics who knows nothing about theater in practice. There are several errors due to this ignorance in his book on the making of My Fair Lady. He is making, however, a huge effort to establish himself as the latest oracle on musical theatre.
-
It's supposed to get up to the high 80s today. I had better check to see how the AC is coping.
-
I just received an email concerning Annabelle and Thatch from someone trying to get in touch with me. I hope she's a literary agent!
-
Good morning, all.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I wish I had something halfway intelligent to add to that.
-
This, for me, is practically ideal summer weather, topping off in the mid-80s during the afternoon, and going down to a wonderful low-50s open-window sleeping temperature at night.
It won't last long.
-
I just received my little package from Premiere Opera that included a bootleg of a 2016 production of The Fantasticks at the Pasadena Playhouse, with Hal Linden playing the Old Actor. Looking forward to watching it this evening.
-

Do I hear a quarter?

Fingers crossed!!!!

Good morning, friends.
-
This morning I tried DR Laura's Instant Pot technique for hard-boiled eggs from a few days ago. It worked flawlessly. I'm never going back! So easy to peel. Cooked perfectly.
-
Thanks for your thoughts about the new book, DR elmore3003.

It is Wednesday. Rehearsal was okay last night.
The suggestion I made about the set was accepted by the director who put it in place last night - and what a difference it made.....if I do say so myself. The director said Thank you to me....
And we're off! We open on June 1....for ten performances with an audience of 80 seats for each performance.
-
I very much enjoyed the chicken playing the keyboard.....most entertaining.
-
Musical Theatre Oracle.....if there is going to be one - my guess is that he is here on HHW right now.....
-
I wonder how DR VIXDAD's day went?
-
Taking photos tonight and will start on the slide show for the lobby tomorrow.....
-
I think I will go on that new tv show - America Needs Talent......
-
PAGE TWO.

Good for you, DR Jrand70! The Oracle proclaims!

I like to watch Charles Grodin in movies....but I was surprised that I didn't particularly like him on talk shows.
I remember when TCM would have a celebrity program an evening of movies....I think Robert Osborne was still the host at that time. And Mr. Charles Grodin was the only person I can remember who chose one of his OWN movies to present. Because it was a "classic" that had been ignored by the public and press and his performance should really be seen.....
One of his autobiographies was titled after what someone famous said to him....."It would be so nice if you weren't here."
I forget the celebrity's name - but now the wish has been granted.

We watched Midnight Run last night after Keith read it was Grodin's favorite film. I had forgotten how good it was.
-
I have now purchased Some Days Are Murder :)

Today's Amazon Fresh delivery, scheduled between 3 and 5:00, arrived at 2:30!
-
I'm up, I'm up - a bit over eight hours of sleep.
-
Packages have arrived - books - and I'll go get them now.

Using her email, I tracked down on Google this person trying to contact me. If I am correct, she is from Seattle and she not a literary agent, but her LinkedIn profile is quite interesting - IF she is the correct person.

Wednesday evening greetings! We had a rough night last night because Richard had one of his stomach attacks. He's feeling a bit better now, but we've taken it pretty easy today.

I completely sympathize with him and am glad he is feeling better.
-
We skipped the gym today as I had a bone density test. I got the results already and am now feeling somewhat depressed.
-
I locked myself out of the house. And somehow managed to do away with the spare key I used to have hidden.
-
Thankfully, friends had a spare and they came over.
-
I have a bar on the sliding back doors and the bar slid to where I couldn't open it up anymore.
-
Three!
-
Hello, 3 guests!
-
Have you ever locked yourself out? And how stupid did it make you feel?
-
I feel fairly stupid.
-
After a long, hair-pulling day at work, I should have known something silly was going to happen.
-
Thankfully I have tomorrow off. Biopsy and barbecue.
-
Books are signed and boxed.
-
Did the various blurbs for the three Tonight's the Night things and Some Days Are Murder - hopefully we can get those live tomorrow.
-
I locked myself out of the house. And somehow managed to do away with the spare key I used to have hidden.
Oh, oh.
-
Thankfully, friends had a spare and they came over.
One thing about living in a condo we don't have far to travel for our spare keys from neighbors. Of course it helps if they are home.
-
I have a bar on the sliding back doors and the bar slid to where I couldn't open it up anymore.
Bars should always be left on sliding door so they can't be opened ;)
-
We have to use our key to lock the doors here. The only way to lock ourselves out is by losing our key. Hopefully that never happens.
-
I have locked myself out of other homes. Usually there was a way to break in through the window or get a spare key.
-

Yikes! :o
-
There was the time when Bryan was a baby that I was in the back yard when Keith left, and he locked the sliding door first. I could not climb over the six foot brick wall.
-
Fortunately it was the neighbor's day off and he was in his garage working on his car. He heard me shouting for him and broke in through our front window, after I told him the secret way to do so.
-
I fear to think what would have happened if the neighbor wasn't home.
-
Thankfully, friends had a spare and they came over.
A couple of years ago, I locked myself out of my car a couple of times within a month! My niece had to come over both times (my sister was still working at her work and not at home then) and wasn't very happy about it...of course.
-
Anyway, I had a separate key ring with a couple of other keys on it that I kept with me, so I just added a second car (and house) key to that key ring, so that if I lost or misplaced or locked my main key ring in my car, I would always have the second key ring on my person. It has helped me at least once since then. ::)

;D
-
I am sorry, DR Jane.
{{{hugs}}}
-
I have ventured out into the basement of my building with the recycling, forgetting my door fob. This was at 5:00am in the morning. I had to wait around the door until another resident came out to go to work to get back in. Perhaps 45 minutes or so.
-
And, yes: I felt quite stupid.
-
:)
-
The DH was re-watching the pilot episode of Fran Drescher's The Nanny (with opening jingle by Ann Hampton Callaway). There was a small cameo role for a young up-and-coming actor named James Marsden. Or, as his credit ran back then, Jimmy Marsden.
-
Getting toward four, but it's a slog.
-
Good news today from bk about the arrival of the books. I imagine that must be quite an incredible feeling.

We have the option of using a fob or a code.
-

Thanks.
-
I can't think of that phrase, "the arrival of the books," without thinking of the equivalent rhythmic phrase in Pacific Overtures: "the arrangement of the screens."
-

That's a nice upgrade. Our building is pretty old.

FOUR!!!!
-
Good night, friends.

Nice on, Singdaw! ;D
-
And now, I'm off.
Be back later.
-
I feel like it's the end of the evening.
-
And I need to get up too early in the morning.
-
I got a few more pages in The Birds of East Africa, which is a charming novel in the Alexander McCall Smith vein.
-
And now I'm head to bed, but first ...
-
Gratuitous post No. 99!
-
Good night, all.
-
A lull. ::)
-
After work tonight, I went to Costco.
-
They had a sign out saying essentially that if you were fully vaccinated, you weren't required to wear your mask.
-
I wore my mask, even though I'm vaccinated.
-
I saw a few people with no mask on, at all.
-
I only noticed one employee inside the building with no mask on.
-
Every other employee that I noticed was wearing masks.
-
At first I was thinking about going to Fred Meyer, which is right next to Costco, just to see what it's like there.
-
But by the time I finished shopping at Costco, I forgot about going to Fred Meyer.
-
::)
-
;)
-
I'll eventually go to Fred Meyer...maybe tomorrow night.

My favorite Charles Grodin film is HEAVEN CAN WAIT. He and Dyan Cannon (from Tacoma, WA) are just hysterical.

I do want to get some milk.

Hi, Tom.

Where in tarnation IS everyone?
-
Books are signed and boxed up.
-
There's a small treat with each book.

Cool!!

PAGE FIVE DANCE!!

Keto friendly and sans calories, but that's perhaps because it isn't food.

Where in tarnation is page six?

I have to use the key to lock the door, too. If I should lose the key, or someone steals my bag, I always carry an extra door key in my l other pocket.
-
Listening to Previn do the Manfred symphony.
-
It's the Tchaikovsky I'm least familiar with.
-
I have a bar on the sliding back doors and the bar slid to where I couldn't open it up anymore.

I don’t have a bar by my sliding door, because I don’t drink.
-
Jack, how many seats does your theater normally have?

That is more than a lull.

That is more than a lull.
Well, at least we're finally on page five...better than still on page 1.
-
At first I was thinking about going to Fred Meyer, which is right next to Costco, just to see what it's like there.
As of today, Freddie’s no longer requires masks, but I will keep wearing mine.

Many more people at Costco were wearing masks, so I think others feel the same.

Didn't we used to have a poster named Freddie? I seem to remember one.

Yes, he also used to go by FJL.

Well, good night.
-
Good night, Tom.

So, when I was in middle school in the late 1970s, I used to watch an Americanized version of a Japanese anime series on TV called Star Blazers. I think it was one of the first anime series imported to the US (with new English audio tracks and edited down a bit).
-
Sometime in the 1990s, I was able to buy the DVDs of the original Japanese versions (fortunately, with English subtitles), and I recently found out that the series has rebooted with I think a condensed storyline. The original version was three seasons, but this reboot is only two.
-
I bought the Blu-ray+DVD release of the first season because it was cheaper to get Parts 1 and 2 separately, instead of the complete season of Blu-rays without the DVDs. But, it was cheaper for me to get the complete season two Blu-rays without DVDs, so I did.
-
I don't mind having the different releases. It's better than getting the Region 1/A version of one season and Region 2/B version of the other. That would not be good...although, I have done that with some of the Doctor Who DVDs.
-
Anyway, the new Star Blazers sets arrived yesterday and today, so I'll hopefully start watching them. I should rewatch the original 1970s series first, but we'll see.
-
I gotta tell you.
-
Almost time for new notes.
-
They are ready and waiting.
-
Just the press of a button.
-
That's all it takes.
-
Just the press of a button.
-
And page six has arrived.
-
Whew!
-
Now, on to page 87!!
-
:))
