Well, you've read the notes, the notes were tired and sleepy, and now it is time for you to post until the tired and sleepy cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: PERORATE!
-
BK, your little hot fudge sundae sounded real good. I just realized that I haven't had one in quite a while...several years, in fact.
-
I do have some keto ice cream that's really very good, and I also have some sugar-free chocolate (not fudge, though) sauce that is also really very good. I can easily get some whipped or whipping cream and make my own hot chocolate (not fudge) sundae. Or I can settle for ice cream with chocolate sauce. Good enough for me. :)
-
Off to bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
Decided to continue writing the commentary and got two-thirds done, so after rehearsal today, I'll finish up the last of it.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
From southern New Jersey.
-
Yes, yesterday was a travel day.
I felt fortunate that the airports were relatively quiet, everyone was mask compliant, and there were no tantrums. On my part, either.
-
It is good to see my family in person for the first time in two years.
-
Glad to read about your tech recovery, DR elmore3003.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept very poorly. My right leg throbbed all night and refused to relax or get comfortable. I was awake for over an hour between 2 and 3. I had two dreams, one a long one about working at The Drama Book Shop and in the other I was living at home with my parents. My brother Randy was quite young, around nione or so, and I was either driving a car around Trenton OH or I was home with my family.
-
Glad to read about your tech recovery, DR elmore3003.
Thanks. The computer is running rather nicely now.
-
I have the feeling that most of my day will be dealing with household chores. I need to finish cleaning the kitchen of the mess I created making pasta sauce.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I am still getting used to MR BK's smiling face photo.
-
Good computer news from DR ELMORE. Yes if I have computer problems, I can usually find something on the inner web from someone who ALSO had the problem and figured out how to solve it.
-
My niece and her fiance are coming over today to discuss their wedding.....finally....and not a moment too soon since the wedding is this Saturday.
-
I have finished staging tomorrow's material on paper....so we shall see what happens...tomorrow.
-
Five months till Christmas.
-

Good morning, all.
-
Been indulging in a very leisurely Sunday morning here.
A VERY leisurely Sunday morning.
-
Good morning!
-
Five months till Christmas.
And to think, just a month ago, it was six.
-
DR John I love that you found a collection of cookie cutters. I look forward to photos of any special ones in there. Alas, my cookie collection is mostly gone after having been lost in a move.
-
From TCB:
In Pierce County today, two men were shot to death, and a third man was killed by a hit-and-run driver. Detectives are continuing to investigate all of these today, but it is beleved that one of them may have been intentional.
:D
I am guessing the additional typo was from the paper and not your typo.

Always a relief and a treat to have a quiet airport and flight.
-
It is good to see my family in person for the first time in two years.
Very, very nice.
-
My niece and her fiance are coming over today to discuss their wedding.....finally....and not a moment too soon since the wedding is this Saturday.
LOL. I hope the discussion and wedding ceremony are just what you all want.
-
I finished all of my necessary housecleaning by noon. The humidity is very high today and by the time I came up from the basement, all I wanted to do was strip to as little as possible and lie in front of the AC. The cats are happy to lie with me.
-
Thanks DR JANE....it is what it is.
-
Glad to hear that DR singdaw's trip is going well.
-
I guess MR BK wasn't kidding about sleeping LATE.
-
American Ladies Gymnastics team is currently in SECOND place.
-
I watched a bit of the ping pong yesterday afternoon.....
The U.S. did not win a medal until the SECOND day of the Olympics which has not happened since the First Olympiad back in .... whenever it was....1896, I think.
-
...of the modern era.....that is....
-
Last night I realized I forgot to mention I also used to watch some of the gymnastics.
-
Storms north of me last night - maybe a few here today. It's been muggy and cloudy all day.....unlike where the deer and antelope play....
-
I'm up, I'm up - nine hours of needed sleep.
-
Thanks for reminding me I have to set the alarm for early tomorrow.
-
Done.
-
The pasta sauce I made yesterday came out very well. I'm not complaining.
-
Thanks for reminding me I have to set the alarm for early tomorrow.
Actually, I need to, too. My new supervisor and the temp supervisor want everyone in the department to work similar hours...at least till the end of the year, so I need to adjust to an earlier schedule. :P
-
To repeat a post:
In the words of Ladislav Sipos in She Loves Me: DO NOT...LOSE...YOUR JOB!
;D
-
And now, I'm going to take a shower (finally ;) ), then get me something to eat.
-
I'm thinking of actually walking to the local Subway. It's less than a mile, and completely flat, so it'll be fairly easy.
-
I'll bring my Kindle and continue reading Andy Weir's Project Hail Mary, which I just started last night. :)
Be back later.
-

I am sorry, as will TCB & Bruce be once you adjust to your new hours and go to sleep earlier.
-
I need to go for an injection that might have side effects, hopefully only good ones.
-
Keith has convinced me to skip the gym tomorrow to be on the safe side.

I hope you enjoyed your walk.

Thanks, but I haven't left, yet. I'm just about to, though. :)

I'm in the middle of chapter 3 (I'll finish this chapter then head off to Subway), but I'm enjoying it, too...so far.

I have never paid much attention to the singer Pink, until today. I am impressed that she has offered to pay the fines of the Norwegian women's beach handball team after they refuse to wear bikini bottoms.
-
While I think the shorts are far more attractive & comfortable looking than the bikini bottoms, I think they might have gone with shorts that are a bit more beachy looking.

That's cool!

While I think the shorts are far more attractive & comfortable looking than the bikini bottoms, I think they might have gone with shorts that are a bit more beachy looking.
But to require women to wear bikini bottoms and to bare their midriff when the men can wear long shorts and full t-shirts is not only totally sexist, but potentially unsafe! More exposed skin means more sun exposure and more of a chance for skin cancer! >:(
-
I'm now at Subway, but I didn't walk. ::)
-
As soon as I got outside, I realized that it's too darn hot (a Cole Porter reference) and there's not a single f*cking cloud in the sky (a John Buccino reference).
;)
-
So I drove, but to justify driving, I went to a Subway that was farther (further?) away.
-
And now, I'm starting chapter four.
-

True. I personally would not want to play a sport wearing those little bottoms.
-
As soon as I got outside, I realized that it's too darn hot (a Cole Porter reference) and there's not a single f*cking cloud in the sky (a John Buccino reference).
;)
I wondered if that would happen. How hot is it there?
-
It is currently 88 degrees here.
-
We walked when it was a little bit cooler and stayed in the shade.
-
Keith has begun reading chapter seven of Project Hail Mary and I will do the same now.

84° F right now.
-
We walked when it was a little bit cooler and stayed in the shade.
There is almost no shade from my house to the Subway that I was originally going to walk to.
-
I am enjoying the Olympics so far. But I've only watched the swimming and diving.

I thought that might be the case since you didn't walk.
-
Crazy day. I made it to Costco. That’s the plus.
-
Rehearsal is done and went well.
-
Went to Gelson's and got a chicken Caesar. The full-size is now basically what the small version was and the small version is still what it was, so that's probably the better buy.
-
Crazy day. I made it to Costco. That’s the plus.
Why Costco when you are busy clearing out stuff?
-
My book group is meeting tomorrow. I like to read reviews before the discussion to refresh my memory and help me put my thoughts together.
-
A review by Publishers Weekly was a perfect example of why I try to avoid reading reviews prior to reading the book. It gave away part of the story that isn't mentioned until near the end of the book.
-
Had I read that prior to reading the book I would have been furious.
-

NOW you tell me
-
I went to in person church this morning
-
I was the reader at both services
-
Abs I had a very nice chat with my Psdtor between services
-
Pastor

Gas and a few essentials to eat are much cheaper there.
-
Good night, all.
-
Four!
-
Next year will be the 50th anniversary of my confirmation
-
Our church youth group was very tight, I’m still friends with some of the people I met back in 1970 when we started classes
-
So a group of us decided to organize a reunion
-
This evening four of us had a video chat
-
It was as if we hadn’t ever been apart , we laughed so much my sides were aching
-
Good night John
-
I read a couple more chapters of Project Hail Mary, then watched some YouTube videos.
-
It's a much quicker read than my previous book, which was good, but even though PHM has a lot of science, it's easier to read.
-
Maybe because there's more humor, like in The Martian.
-
Gratuitous Post #100!
-
I like Andy Weir's humor. :)
-
So, my sub sandwich at Subway was essentially a Spicy Italian on flatbread.
-
I say "essentially" because I got it with all pepperoni and no salami.
-
I also added some of the sauce from their meatballs, so I pretty much have a pizza sub. :D
-
Then, I add pizza toppings: shredded cheese, onions, green peppers, tomatoes (I do add a little lettuce, too), parmesan and oregano.
-
I don't toast any of the vegetables, only the sauce, pepperoni, and the cheese on the flatbread.
-
It's quite good!
-
Most of the time, I can swap out half the salami and get all pepperoni instead without any trouble.
-
But once in a great while, someone will say that they can't do that and I would have to pay for extra pepperoni and just not take the salami. ::)
-
Fortunately, I usually say, "but I do it all the time," and then they'll let me.
-
One of the first times I asked for the swap out, a (newish) manager was working and wouldn't let me swap it out, so I just didn't.
-
I had the pepperoni and salami, and it was okay, but (to me) it wasn't as good as it could've been with all pepperoni.
-
It's not the only sub sandwich I get when I go to Subway, but it's one of my regulars. ;D
-
Anyone else make changes like that when you go somewhere?
-
I always remember the restaurant scene in When Harry Met Sally and she made all the changes to her food.
-
That scene was my inspiration!
-
Nothing wrong with getting what you want...as long as it's not a great inconvenience to the restaurant.
-
I'm not that much of a jerk.
-
...at least, not yet. ;)

The ihop used to make the chicken crepe with chicken, avocado, mushrooms onions and hollandaise sauce , they change it to no avocado, added tomatoes and changed the hollandaise sauce to a cheddar cheese sauce
When I order it I have them make it the original way

I am guessing the additional typo was from the paper and not your typo.
Since the quote was spoken by the newsman opening the newscast, I would assume that any typos would have to have been made by me. I would appreciate it if you would point them out for me.

American Ladies Gymnastics team is currently in SECOND place.
I wish all of the sports people covering the Olympics would hold off calling Simone Biles the GOAT until after the Olympics are over. The poor young lady is only 24 years old, and I doubt she needs the added pressure.
-
I imagine that is part of the reason she didn’t perform at her best on the initial round.

That makes a lot of sense. :-\

I didn’t know that Subway had a chicken crepe.
-
I doubt I would order it, normally I don’t even let them heat my sandwich.
-
I like most of my sub sandwiches to be toasted...egg salad is the exception (or should that be egg-ception ;) ).
-
What is this malarkey?
-
Most unseemly.
-
Where have all the hainsies gone?
-
I don't see anyone?
-
Does anyone see me?
-
Am I being seen?
-
I will NOT be ignored.
-
And yet, I'm being ignored.
-
You can be seen, BK!

Sorry, I missed ihop in the post.
