Well, you've read the notes, the notes were sleepy, and now it is time for you to post until the sleepy cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: SCUTTLEBUTT!
-
So much for my mother being a blonde :) Not.
-
Those are some amazing newspaper clips, BK!
-
Topic of the Day: I have never been sued, nor have I ever sued anyone, nor (as far as I know) has anyone else in my family...fortunately. ;D
-
I imagine dear sweet Lea Michele must be in mourning this week. Ever since she started on GLEE, she has been begging and pleading, and fiercely campaigning to play Fanny Brice in FUNNY GIRL.
-
Now that ship has sailed. Beanie Feldstein has been announced as the star of that revival. She has a very nice voice! And it is possible that she might possibly be Jewish!
-
Good morning, all!
-
At last! A photo of BK's mother. I've never seen one before. She's very pretty.
-
Those were interesting articles, very interesting.
-
I don't have a thing to report this morning. I plan to spend the day doing little beyond paying some bills and trying to avoid the heat. I do hope that when I take the garbage to the basement and check the mail that my two Chewy.com cartons that supposedly were delivered on Thursday are sitting in the lobby.
-
I did have one dresm that I have vague memories of: I lived on a southern plantation and our house was burned down and slaves released by the Yankees. Whether it was General Sherman or another, I don't know.
-
Good morning, all.
-
An unexpected (by me) luxurious dark sky and rain this morning. Very nice to wake up to.
-
Good morning, all.
-
My body apparently doesn’t want to sleep in late.
-
I do, however. So I am not getting up just yet.
-
One long and crazy dream, in which I was first deciding not to accept a church organ substituting job (which was actually for a funeral) but I then found myself there, figuring out what to play, and how, and miraculously getting the organ started up, and nobody including the minister had any clear idea on what was supposed to happen but they seemed to be expecting me to solve it, while the service was supposed to have begun some time ago. The dream went on pretty much like that sentence did.
-
Incredible finds, BK, and yes, amazing.
-
At last! A photo of BK's mother. I've never seen one before. She's very pretty.
Agreed.
-
I'm almost ready to take the plunge on newspapers.com. I looked at their current offer for the extended deluxe package (essential, for the LA Times) which comes to $12 per month, for six months, instead of $20. That's something I can almost live with, without too much guilt. What I need to find out is whether renewals after the six months remain at that level. And what continues to piss me off is that they still don't have the newspapers that are critical to THREE other major periods of my life.
-
Sleepy Man. Live that song. Must find on YouTube.
-
And here’s Patti LuPone singing it with Kevin Kline.

-
Dr CHAS SMITH renewals are at the regular rate.
-
Most entertaining and amazing notes.
-
TOD:
I am like DR GEORGE - never have I ever.
-
I have been sued, over the food website. Had to buy out the partners. Better left forgotten.
-
One thing strange about being back home is not living out of a suitcase. I have many shirts to choose from, instead of eight.
-
Why does Fed Ex hire as a customer rep a person whose English can barely be understood? I don't think this was an English-as-a-second-language issue but an American with a serious speech defect.
-
My Fed Ex delivery from Chewt.com did not arrive. I called Fed Ex, gave them the tracking numbers, and filed a complaint. Chew.com is sending a second shipment of both orders at No Charge.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
TWO, by the way.
-
Amazing finds in today's notes.
-
Good morning!
-
Yes, the notes were very entertaining!
-
Saturday morning greetings! As we predicted, the work on our basement was not completed in 5 days and the jackhammers are back today. It looks like they will finish today. We're without a front porch, but Zach is coming Thursday to help us figure out what we're going to do about that. I have a vision and Richard has provided some input and we think it will be very pretty.
-
Best of luck, Ginny. I am planning a patio for out back. It'll be another year for that, but there are dreams.
-
Made a Costco run this morning. Gas was $2.57 a gallon. Much better than the $3.19 in Louisville.
-
Then I went in back to water the plants before it gets too hot. Well, it is hot already.
-
I managed to pick about 200 tiny ripe chiles from various bushes and didn't make a dent in the fruit growing back there. I could pick and pick for days, but my back wouldn't allow it. I sat down and picked up some more, but the mosquitoes then came after me.
-
So, now I'm resting with another minor noir from the library called Larceny. John Payne, Dan Duryea and Shelley Winters with Joan Caulfield.
-
Good morning.
-
We had more rain last night. My roof is leaking from the installation of the air conditioning unit installed on the roof last fall.
-
Of course, DR Laura. The one time it would rain in your neck of the woods.
-
Dry vibes for Laura.
-
George, are you going to record Rick McKay's Broadway: Beyond the Golden Age tonight on PBS?
-
And here’s Patti LuPone singing it with Kevin Kline.
https://youtu.be/jP6M7G-jBEQ
I love that song.
-
Dealing with Spectrum is a lot easier than AT&T, but that doesn't mean it's easy. It took three people more than an hour to tell me that Mom's phone service will not transfer over until Tuesday, if then.
-
My sister Linda is now in Louisville dealing with too much stuff. The book dealer was there, taking away thousands of books. I don't know what she's going through and getting rid of. My sister Annaliese is there helping the book guy.
-
I hope they don't find any more collections of pencil shavings.
-
George, are you going to record Rick McKay's Broadway: Beyond the Golden Age tonight on PBS?
It's not on tonight on the Seattle PBS. I wonder if it actually was on last night and I didn't know about it. HOWEVER, it will be on again on the 21st, so I can record it then! Thanks for letting me know!
-
I need a nap.
-
I have been sued, over the food website. Had to buy out the partners. Better left forgotten.
That's too bad. :-\

I haven't turned on my computer yet, but if it's available to stream on PBS's website, I can actually capture it very easily. ;)

I would love a copy, DR George!
-
You got it, Larry. John, did you want one, too?
-
I'm up, I'm up - a little over eight hours of sleep.
-
Saturday....I am working on my lines in anticipation of Monday's rehearsal.

Saturday....I am working on my lines in anticipation of Monday's rehearsal.
So, closing down Joseph will not close down the rest of the season?
-
From George:
I'd read that the daily-wear contacts that are worn once and thrown away, and the kind that are taken out each night and cleaned but used for months, are the exact same contact lens! It's just marketing! :o
Hmmm. I know the mark-up on contacts is outrageous. Years ago when I switched from reusable to daily wear contacts there was definitely a difference in the texture. The reusable were more flimsy and tore more easily.
-
And I see DR TCB agrees with me regarding the texture.
-
I have been sued, over the food website. Had to buy out the partners. Better left forgotten.
Oh my.

The worst part is the jackhammering. I like that you are getting excited about your front porch :)

;D

Are you feeling better?

MEGA VIBES DR LAURA THAT THE MESS IN YOUR CEILING IS SOON REPAIRED!

I stand corrected.

And I see DR TCB agrees with me regarding the texture.
Yup. I bow to the majority. ;)
-
Maybe, maybe not. Things might have change-lol

Well, it is streaming on PBS's website and capturing it WAS easy! ;D I don't have to wait for it to be shown on TV, and the TV broadcast is only in 1280x720, whereas the PBS stream is 1920x1080.
-
So...who wants a DVD and who wants a Blu-ray?
-
If you are truly offering, DR George, I would LOVE a Blu Ray copy of the Broadway documentary. I have PBS Passport, so I can watch it, but I don't have any way to record it. Unless they're going to offer hard copies for sale the way they did the first one - which is out of print, now.
-
You got it, Larry. John, did you want one, too?
Yes, please.
-
I’m feeling very lazy today.
-

I started watching it and was jumping around and saw that what I downloaded included the PBS pledge breaks. :P So, I'll cut those out, but I'm assuming they're not broadcasting the whole program. :-\
-
Had a chicken Casaer from Gelson's - smallest large yet.
-
I guess I have made newspapers.com really popular on Facebook. Someone posted that they'd gone down the "rabbit hole" and found stuff - same terminology as me. I suspect a lot of people saw my posts and immediately went there. Funny.
-
Bruce, your find of family clippings is great. Your mother looks very glamorous.
-

And brunette!
-
Did you think she was a natural blond?
-
Keith has been using newspapers.com for years.
-
An unexpected (by me) luxurious dark sky and rain this morning. Very nice to wake up to.
Ah! So that’s where our rain went. We were threatened with thunderstorms by the weatherman but had a gloriously sunny and hot day instead
Vixdad and I enjoyed several hours in the pool
-
Not yet DR ELMORE.....but I'm not convinced yet that it will happen.
-
I guess I need to set up an appointment for a Moderna booster shot.
-
Made a Costco run this morning. Gas was $2.57 a gallon. Much better than the $3.19 in Louisville.
I was happy to pay $3.01 instead of $3.27 it was the previous week at my local station
-
You got it, Larry. John, did you want one, too?
Yes, please.
Blu-ray or DVD?
-
We had more rain last night. My roof is leaking from the installation of the air conditioning unit installed on the roof last fall.
Oh no! I’m sorry to hear this
-
So...who wants a DVD and who wants a Blu-ray?
Yes please! May I have a blu-ray too, please?
-
Bruce very enjoyable articles in the notes!
-
I sued my college because of an accident in the theatre and prevailed
I was sued twice for car accidents, I defended successfully in both of those
-
I was E&T the past couple of days so I shall go ketchup
-
Then maybe I’ll come back and tell you where I’ve been
-
Or not
-
‘Tis a mystery
-
We’ll have to wait and see
-
I guess I need to set up an appointment for a Moderna booster shot.
Good luck.
-
We’ll have to wait and see
;D I hope it was something good.
-
I sued twice for automobile accidents. The first time when I was 18 and the second time when I was 42. I hope I never need to do that again.
-
Did you think she was a natural blond?
Of course. That's all we ever knew.
-
But didn't she ever have dark roots?
-
I think it is funny if she hid the fact she dyed her hair :)
-
My sister gave me excellent advice... She said not to get divorced as the lawsuits aren't worth it.
-
That advice was as a result of her one and only marriage ;D
-
I just finished watching Belgravia. Liked it.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Roof vibes to DR Laura.
-
Something light for a Saturday...
Dr K, street pianist, having some fun with Beethoven.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUlOPcdEKDg
He simply will NOT stay inside the box!

And, if you liked that,

Vibes to all.
TTFN.

-
Watched the Broadway: Beyond the Golden Age on PBS Passport tonight. Wonderful, and made me very teary at times. But with the pledge breaks, I definitely got the sense that we weren't seeing the whole thing.
-
Highly recommended, though, if you love Broadway. And who doesn't?
-
Good night, friends.
-
So...who wants a DVD and who wants a Blu-ray?
Yes please! May I have a blu-ray too, please?
Yes, you may!
-
You got it, Larry. John, did you want one, too?
Yes, please.
Blu-ray or DVD?

-
Vixmom, how was The Merry Wives of Winsor?
-
Back from a fun night of dancing.
-
Watching the first episode of Brokenwood Season 7.
-
Interesting use of a garotte.
-
Onward!

I used to hide the fact that I dyed my hair.
-
I watched a very awful movie tonight. It was called (I believe), ABOUT THE BOY.
-
It was a gay film that wanted to be an “art” film!
-
I swear they had the waves crashing on the shore eight times!
-
And if.that didn’t telegraph the ending of the movie, nothing would.
-
They were supposedly living in New York, but when the guy tells the boy that they need to go to Mexico, he says he wants to go the ocean before they go.(?)
-
What the Hell does he think that giant blue thing is out there?
-
But the whole thing was such a car wreck, I couldn’t look away.
-
Oh, and they drove to the ocean, which was an all-day drive.
-
Thank goodness the film was not any longer than it was.
-
Both cats left the room.
-
And I had the A/C on, too.
-
I think we hit 89 degrees today.
-
Probably down to 82 degrees tomorrow. I have laid out my sweaters.
-
I think I will make a tuna pasta salad tomorrow.
-
I watched a very awful movie tonight. It was called (I believe), ABOUT THE BOY.
Who was in it...or are all the actors unknowns?
-

If any of them had a career before this film, that would end it.

Did I mention the waves crashing eight times??

**Spoiler Alert**
At one point the boy says that he isn’t a very nice person. To the empty room, I said out loud, “I killed Julian.”
Two minutes later the boy says, “I killed Julian.”
-
Where is my royalty check?
-
And on that note: Good night!

Good night, Tom.

I've been working on setting up tickets for Theater Artists Olympia's remounting of The HEAD! That Wouldn't DIE!!! that'll be going up in October.
-
There are too many options, and I need answers to questions, so I keep having to stop until I get answers, and doing this at midnight:40 doesn't get me any answers. ::)
-
At least, not now. But, the set up has a "Save Draft" button, so I can come back to it at any time.
-
Here's the artwork...
-
My apologies. This film classic is actually called, A BOY LIKE THAT.
-
PAGE SIX The HEAD! That Wouldn't DIE!!! DANCE!!

My apologies. This film classic is actually called, A BOY LIKE THAT.
Thanks for the info, Tom.
-
Well, I hate to do it, but I must get some sleep.
Have a good tomorrow, all!
