I finished kitty cleanup, gave the cats their night time treat, and began the prep at 6:00. I was in the bathroom from 6:20 to 7:20, and in bed by 8:30, only I could not get to sleep.  I was up and down too many times, but I finally did sleep for a bit. The alarm rang at 3:45 and I began the second round of prep.

DR singdaw, I was lucky with my Covid test before my surgery in both March, when the surgery was postponed, and June because the lab where I was tested was at the hospital where my surgery occurred.

Getting ready hasn't been a piece of cake. One of the cats decided to vomit while I was indisposed, and I had to clean that up after walking through it. Now I'm praying to God the ride arrives on time.

We are running the WHOLE play tonight.....so who knows when I will be home....

I am still uncertain about even moving ahead with it.....we of course had a positive covid test among the cast.  That person is now quarantining and getting another test to be sure.  We are rehearsing in masks....those of us who are there....two people have decided not to return to rehearsals until they quarantine. 

I have been tested and am negative - but I am reticent.  Oh yes, I am reticent. 

Of course it is time to book the newspaper ads and start promoting the show.....but I'm ....  reticent......

BK -- you've worked with Michael Gabiano off and on, correct?

Maybe you know this, but he's from right here, Danbury CT, and he knows many in my own local theater scene. 'My" director was once "his" director. In fact, Michael was in the original cast of said writer/director's Smorgasbord! revue that we revived last year.

My colonoscopy was a good one, and my next one is in five years. The Ride arrived five minutes early and I got to the appointment early, which was very good. Joshie got an Uber to bring me home, and after a bit of breakfast, I'm lying down for a nap.

I can't sleep and I can't fully wake up.  Otherwise all went well and I was pleased with the staff.  Biopsies were taken though all looked good.

I follow a political commentator (he's more on the liberal side) on YouTube and he recently posted about his vacation with his girlfriend in Europe.  They had to take tests to come back into the US, and he brought the quick tests with them.  His girlfriend tested negative, but he tested positive.  They had an extra test and he tested positive again!  He was able to get a more accurate test at a hospital and found that he had gotten two, count 'em, TWO false positives!  So, it can happen. :-\

When should I get vaccinated?
According to the CDC:

You should get a flu vaccine before flu viruses begin spreading in your community, since it takes about two weeks after vaccination for antibodies to develop in the body and provide protection against flu. Make plans to get vaccinated early in fall, before flu season begins. CDC recommends that people get a flu vaccine by the end of October. However, getting vaccinated early (for example, in July or August) is likely to be associated with reduced protection against flu infection later in the flu season, particularly among older adults. Vaccination should continue to be offered throughout the flu season, even into January or later. Children who need two doses of vaccine to be protected should start the vaccination process sooner, because the two doses must be given at least four weeks apart.

In total I was there two and a half hours.

Thanks, Jane. I think I'll feel relieved once I get there because there have been so many hassles just to get this far.

I know the feeling.  Appointment can still be moved on the morning of the surgery.
