Well, you've read the notes, the notes ran amok, and now it is time for you to post until the running amok cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: GASCONADE!
-
Good
mourning morning, friends.
-
bk, if you haven't seen it, you may enjoy The Social Dilemma, a documentary critical of Facebook. It's on Netflix.

Good morning, all!

I remain no more informed about the extension of PUA than I was yesterday. It worries me.
-
I had the weirdest dream that I was in drag, one of several men playing on a women's basketball team. There was an effort from a men's team to expose us in an effort to disqualify the ladies. There was more to the dream, but that's all I really remember of it.
-
It may be Friday, but it could be Tuesday or Thursday, every day is pretty much like the other. I dom't like that.

I;ve been reading Julian Fellowes' novel Belgravia, which certainly is more detailed and interesting than the miniseries. He may write good dialogue and hekn a good story, but I really haye his writing style. He's attempting a 19th century novel like Trollope, Dickens, Gaskill,or ab=nither, but he doesn't have the skill as a writer to get their tone or skill at phrasing a nice sentence. It's like reading one of those mystery series like Jane Austen and the Mystery of . . . or Death Comes to Pemberley: the characters may be Jane Austen's but nothing reads the way she writes.

Good morning, all.
-
I don't know from gefilte fish. Or pickled herring. Or probably much of anything in that category.
But this afternoon I'm picking up lox and bagel supplies for the weekend. Oh yes. Yes indeed. Been craving it again.
-
I've never even had whitefish salad.
-
I do wonder which of those foods I might enjoy, but I would require guidance in choosing.
-
And the word of the day is: GASCONADE!
I'm more of a GATORADE man, myself.

YES! YES!! There can never be too much lox and bagel.

Good morning, all.

I’m feeling lazy. Glad I don’t have to go to work today.

HA! So many wonderful links ALREADY today. And yesterday we visited an art show and other interesting things!

I think a dinner of Iowa Sauerkraut wine and boneless duck feet would be......well.....off putting.

Barnum is ringing his bell and demanding attention this morning....so he may get it.....
He has me well trained.

Tigger the feral cat hasn't come by yet to eat his breakfast. He's usually pretty sly though.

DR John G. had it so that we don't have to. In my book, that makes him a mensch.

Yesterday I sent my brothers the amount I calculated that we had paid in property taxes since 2010 with a reminder that if the two of them had not foolishly turned down my suggestion in 2007 that we hire a good realtor to sell the land, we might have paid that amount then to a realtor selling a property worth about three times what it's worth now. So, last night around 8:00 my cell phone rang. It was Lady Macbeth. I didn't answer.
-
That situation is so very utterly frustrating and maddening.

The Mooresville High School class of 1968 is meeting for a lunch today at a local cafeteria.
I shall be on my way in a few minutes. Hopefully there will be more than three people there.

Somehow I think I missed this episode of Star Trek:

Finally! After waiting a month, I finally got my first voice therapy appointment scheduled, for September 15, at a local hospital. It will be interesting to see what's involved.

I'm up, I'm up - seven hours of sleep. I've already shaved and we have our work session in thirty-five minutes.

Work session is done and went very smoothly. Adrienne was here and ran her stuff, and that went well, too. And now, the rest o' the day and evening is mine all mine.

I think MR BK should play this role somewhere ---- Group Rep get on that!

Wow DR singdaw - that shows some real talent!

Will we NEVER get off PAGE TWO?
-
Hello, everyone.
-
I have no news. I did notice, however, that my local Trader Joe's was quiet again in early afternoon. This is perhaps the fourth time in a row. Are lots of people on vacation? No longer eating? Boycotting TJ's? It's so much nicer to shop when stores aren't crowded!

Lucky you.

We skipped the gym this morning and did errands which put us at Costco earlier than usual. It was extremely busy.
-
Going early also meant there were Kirkland paper towels and Charmin TP.
-
Had a few small things from Gelson's - small Caesar with chicken, potato pancakes (2) and a piece of noodle kugel.
-
Then I've been reading the Lapine book, whose type is very small, so I can't read for too too long.
-
Jane, who is Terri Steinman and why would I have had dinner with her at her parents house???

She was half a year ahead of me at Hami. Keith & I worked with her at the Bruin theater. LOL, I have no idea why you would have had dinner at her house. Maybe she invited you :) Do you want me to ask her how she knew you?
-
Hmmm, I don't see you are on FB with her. Why are you asking?
-
Good evening.

First World Problem:
I have season tickets to the Broadway touring shows. They are only doing phone tickets. I have no idea how to do phone tickets. They refuse to give out paper tickets. I probably have lost my ability to go to any shows this season and in the future. I will lose almost $2000 in tickets if they won't help me.
Also, they issued me seven parking passes for the same day: Monday, October 24. My tickets are for Saturdays.
-
So I'm pretty upset.

Is it Sandra that you see the shows with? Does she know how to do phone tickets?
-
DR Laura I thought you had a smart phone. If so someone should be able to help you do this even if it isn't the unkind folks at the ticket office.
-
I have one, but I have no idea what a "Digital Wallet" is. Sandra has a flip phone. She hates talking on the phone and has no need for a smart phone.
-
I have a hunch there will be a LOT of seniors at the Saturday matinee unable to figure it out.

Oh, I didn't imagine a "Digital Wallet" and don't understand why you need it when you have already paid.
-

Along with others like Sandra ;)
-
It seems to me they should be able to email or text your ticket to you.
-
That's wild. Sorry, DR Laura. I would just show up at the theater with my proof of payment. They've got to do something.
-
And I'd show up quite early.
-
Good night, friends.
-
Do you have a smart phone Laura?
-
She responded to a post I made in some Hami High group about Dr. Teaford.
-
Wow, Laura. Sounds like they need an enema.
-
Went to bar named Hello, Marjorie and sat under a painting that might have been called Village of the damned. Seven scary kids, each scary in its own way. The poor kid on the right was definitely gender fluid. They all looked ready to eat the viewer.
-
Maybe that’s what happened to the painter.
-
Really tired.
-
It’s been a busy day.
-
Ate too much. Drank just enough.
-
And I have to be up by 7 am.
-
So, I need to think about bed.
-
But first …
-
Cranberries!
-
Underpants!
-
What is this page three malarkey?
-
Will we ever get to four?
-
And other existential questions
-
Four!
-
There you go.
-
Now it’s time for bed.
-
Good night, all.
-
What the hell is going on here?
-
Barely page four at 11:15 p.m.
-
Night after night after night.
-
I don’t get it.
-
I am just too exhausted to do this every night.
-
Last night was such a blessing.
-
If I am not better by Monday I will need to go for a COVID test.
-
I am really backlogged on my emails.
-
I hope nobody walked by my office today.
-
I kept falling asleep at the computer.
-
Sharry and Micheal have been uninvited for tomorrow.
-
Sharry told me to be sure and call her if I needed to go to the hospital.
-
Micheal said, “Oh no you won’t.”
-
We all laughed.
-
First time I laughed all day.
-
I don’t know what I would do if I needed to go to the hospital.
-
An ambulance would be pretty expensive.
-
Oh well, I will worry about that, tomorrow.
-
Fiddley-dee.
-
I got no house cleaning done this week.
-
Except dishes and some laundry.
-
Not much.
-
I want to make shrimp and macaroni salad this weekend.
-
I could live off off that for four or five days.
-
TV is off.
-
The news is done.
-
Those New York and New Jersey videos were incredible.
-
P A G E F I V E ! !

Finally! After waiting a month, I finally got my first voice therapy appointment scheduled, for September 15, at a local hospital. It will be interesting to see what's involved.

Nope...Jan's head was unceremoniously removed in a car crash. ::)

Mrs. Sidell used to serve the best gefilte fish every year at Passover.
-
She said the white fish was mixed with salmon.
-
I didn’t care, I loved it.
-
Then I've been reading the Lapine book, whose type is very small, so I can't read for too too long.
I read it on my tablet, so I could adjust the size of the font...one very good thing about e-readers. :)

Wow, Laura. Sounds like they need an enema.
Fortunately, the Washington Center for the Performing Arts here in Olympia is NOT issuing phone-only tickets! People can show their e-mailed tickets on their phone and not have a paper ticket, if they wish, but there still is the option for actual tickets, print-at-home tickets, AND e-tickets on your mobile device.
-

Who is Jan?
Jan is the name of the character whose head is accidentally removed, then kept alive (against her will, I might add) in the pan by her crazy boyfriend.

Laura, you need to call the theater box office, or better yet, go there in person and get this straightened out.
