Well, you're read the notes, the notes stumbled through, and now it is time for you to post until the stumbling through cows come home.

RUTILANT!

~~~Break Legs Vibes for BK and Tonight's Kritzerland Cast!!~~~
BK, about the crispy chicken taco sandwich thing at Taco Bell, it's essentially a snack item...just the very soft taco shell, the crispy chicken piece, and chipotle sauce. Nothing else. The "spicy" version just adds jalapeños. Simple, but tasty.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Wow. I was logged in all night, but never said good night.
-
Good morninig, all!
-
I'm not sleeping well more often than usual. I had a peculiar dream about preparing for performances of Dearest Enemy, something about someone claiming to have original 1925 materials that turned out to be nothing more than the old Century Library cut-down version.
-
Since I've been awake, "Bosom Buddies" is stuck in my head.
-
Make it go away!
-
LET IT GO.... LET IT GO.... !!!
-
The stumble-through sounds like it was a lot of fun.
-
Kitty cleanup is over, and I guess my next chore is taking the litter and recyclables to the basement.
-
Well, Harbinger Records finally answered my inquiry about the two missing tracks from Naughty Marietta: no space on the CD. Well, they could have done two things: spread the recording to two CDs or make the missing tracks available as a download. They could have added to the CD with a piano-vocal of "the cut song "Mr Voodoo," although I'd love to hear the orchestration.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Weird dreams last night. First up was a new variation on the dream about being back at school with one semester to finish six courses so I could graduate. I wasn’t bothering going to class. Instead, I had a nervous breakdown.
-
This is the second Sunday of September, Nation Pet Memorial Day.
-
The second dream involved Annaliese and her husband returning stuff to Mom’s house, which cluttered it all up again. They couldn’t understand what was so bad about what they had done.
-
Well, contrary to what my neighbor Judy insists, the NY State Deot of Labor reminded me that my unemployment insurance is over.
-
Good morning, all.
BREAK-A-LEG vibes to BK and the Kritzerland crew tonight!
BREAK-A-LEG vibes to BK and the Kritzerland crew tonight!
Vibes and xylophones!
I like B-major just fine. I'm trying to think how many things are in the next one up, F#-major. I'm brain dead at the moment, but it seems like that might be all right, too, once you get into it.
Sharps and flats, all good for the most part. I stop at C-flat, though. That's just asking for it. But key signatures aren't generally a problem. A plethora of accidentals, though, when you're sight reading (especially you know who)... Oy.
Ditto!
One of amazon's delivery services claimed to have delivered Hayley Mills' memoir on Wednesday, and it never arrived. So, on Friday, the shipped me a copy at no charge, which supposedly arrived yesterday. However, it isn't downstairs with the other deliveries. WTF?
Clearly someone does not want me to read this.
-
I finally found a bird bath that I liked. The best news is that it was on clearance. So, I saved 65% and shipping is included. It should be here in about 10 days.
-
What great notes. I love reading about "putting on a show" and what everyone is doing!
Break legs vibes for MR BK & Co!
-
DR ELMORE I have read the first four or five pages of the Mills Memoir - hopefully today I shall finish it. It seems most excellent, of course.
Hello one and all....Happy Sunday. There's a brand new Broadway Radio Show on this here website for your listening pleasure. It's another Putting It Together as we listen to a great musical score using various cast recordings. This time it's the Rodgers & Hart classic The Boys From Syracuse using 4 different cast recordings. Enjoy!!!
My, we had a good audience last night. There were a lot of quiet times - but the usual things got nice laughs - and there were some new ones along the way.
Mr. Kolenkhov was quite popular with the populace and of course the wrestling scene got the audience going.....so now we have TWO DAYS OFF which is good.
Of course there is an actor with a small part who is causing problems and blaming people for not letting him say his lines and adding lines to his part AND giving other folks line readings and blocking notes.....he ALWAYS does which is why I stopped casting him in my shows.
Completely oblivious to what anyone else is doing, saying, and trying to accomplish onstage and off. Fussy and particular about his costume which has been changed three times to fit his opinion. AND he walks with a cane so he is LATE on all of his entrances and always in the way at the end of scene when we are trying to exit.... SIGNED Mrs. Lincoln
From DR John:
Wrath of Man isn't as great as some of the reviews I read. But I liked one line that said Jason Statham's character was someone who tried smiling a few times in the '90s and decided it wasn't for him.
:))
We too are fans of Statham and I agree with you about the Wrath of Man.
Inside or outdoor bird bath?
-
DR Jrand I am glad your evening went well, except for the annoying actor.
One of my all-time favorites.
Outdoor.
Thanks for the info, Larry, but they really did drop the ball. :-\
Speaking of Hayley Mills, last night I just happened to come across a YouTube video of her on What's My Line (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMp4516lFFU&t=1033s).
-
And then the video right after that was this:
The Cast of The Parent Trap Reminisce About Hayley Mills (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XuIUqJkr2_A).
-
I'm up, I'm up - I think eight hours of sleep or close to it. I fell asleep around two-thirty, woke up around four-fifteen, was probably up for an hour, then finally fell back asleep around five-thirty or so.
-
And now, I must be off. The family is going to my mom's and we're going to have tacos. I hope to do some laundry when I get back. We'll see how that goes. ::)
;)
-
But before I go (and apologies to anyone who offends easily), I came across this article and it probably uses the F word more than any other article in history (just a guess, though):
OH MY F*CKING GOD, GET THE F*CKING VACCINE ALREADY, YOU F*CKING F*CKS by Wendy Molyneux (https://www.mcsweeneys.net/articles/oh-my-fucking-god-get-the-fucking-vaccine-already-you-fucking-fucks).
:o
:))
-
Have a good rest of the day, all!
-
;D
I wish I'd thought of this program for the A&T Kitty Channel programs!
-
Good afternoon!
-
Church gig went well this morning.
-
Now I'm doing laundry and cooking some stuff.
-
And trying to make a dent on a mountain of email.
-
Up from a nap.
-
A kind person on the Cast Recording List just sent me the missing tracks. If any DR would like the two numbers, let me know!
-
I missed the Met performance of the Verdi Requiem the other day. About to correct that.
-
:o
I don't swear very often. My big word is shit. Mostly I say darn & heck. I rarely ever use the F word and tend to cringe when people say it. Yet, I have probably said it more in the last year than in my entire life.
-
I've shaved and in around fifteen minutes I'll shower and get prettified.
Reading this while the Requiem is playing is a little too perfect an honor for those who died because some f**king f**k was just another f**king f**k.
-
;D
-
The Requiem was moving, as always. I thought the conductor, Yannick N.-Seguin, was really good, but ... and it's a big but, I got tired of his face being the image for too much of it. It's a big piece, and he has to make himself big for it, but I'd rather watch the chorus or the orchestra. The cameras focused on the soloists pretty much throughout, which was nice.
-
I have to go water the plants.
-
We're supposed to get rain tonight, but that may not happen.
-
Also, the high tomorrow is only supposed to be 84. We'll see if that's true.
-
Onward!
-
Three!
-
I shall shortly be on my way to Vitello's for sound check and show.
-
Picked about 200 chiles until the mosquitoes began to eat me alive.
-
200, WOW.
-
Mom let herself get dehydrated yesterday and had a stumble today. No injuries, but her blood pressure had dropped.
-
I talked with her a while ago and she sounded OK, not great.
-
I don't think it was major, but you never know.
-
Got an email from my cable company today warning me of Nicholas headed in the direction of Texas. That's where the rain and cooler temperatures will be coming from.
-
Louisiana looks like it could be hit again.
-
Starting a John Garfield movie called Blackwell's Island. It's not really a noir, but they're trying to make it out to be one. A reporter goes undercover to investigate a mob boss.
-
I enjoyed Miss Mills' book and it is high recommended by me.
Some of it is a bit of slog - but very interesting bits about working on MOST of her movies.
And the last paragraph in the book in the Acknowledgments somehow made me a bit misty.....
-
Pretty taut little movie and at 71 minutes, it doesn't wear out its welcome. Stanley Fields makes a great villain.
-
Just finished watching Come From Away. I liked it very much and found it funny and also very moving.
-
~~~BREAK-A-LEG VIBES~~~ tonight for bk and company.
-
Is the Verdi still available for viewing? I know several of the Met chorus singers.
-
They've had quite a challenging year, as have so many in the Arts.
-
Good night, friends.
-
Is the Verdi still available for viewing? I know several of the Met chorus singers.
Yes. It's under Great Performances.
-
Good night, Singdaw.
-
Watching another "proto-noir," as the box calls it. It's called Thunderbolt and it's from Josef von Sternberg.
-
Mom let herself get dehydrated yesterday and had a stumble today. No injuries, but her blood pressure had dropped.
Oh no. I am glad she is ok.
-
I don't think it was major, but you never know.
It is disconcerting.
-
Fay Wray, George Bancroft and Richard Arlen star in the movie, which "mixes electrifying thrills with torrid romance."
-
Got an email from my cable company today warning me of Nicholas headed in the direction of Texas. That's where the rain and cooler temperatures will be coming from.
Sending good vibes!
-
Says so, right on the box.

Thanks for the report.
-
I look forward to reading about a great show tonight.
-
'night
-
I don't know if von Sternberg understood the Depression. A character loses his job, and the mother is all OK with it, thinks he wasn't going to advance at the bank, that he could get fired from any job. Still, the visuals are impressive.
-
Let's move on ...
-
Four!
-
I hope the show is going well.
-
Can hardly wait to read about it in the notes tomorrow.
-
Where is everyone this evening?
-
Wherever you are, I hope you're enjoying yourself.
-
Wherever you are, I hope you're enjoying yourself.
-
I'm starting to run out of steam.
-
My viewing has ended.
-
The movie, that is. Not a funeral.
-
Gratuitous post No. 99!
-
Started Casey McQuiston's new novel, One Last Stop. I really enjoyed Red, White & Royal Blue.
-
This one is a little different.
-
But I'm enjoying it.
-
And that's all he wrote.
-
Good night, all.
-

PM sent! :-*

Now I'm doing laundry and cooking some stuff.
I've already eaten, but I'm doing laundry right now.
-
Just had to share.

I recorded it, but it's also available to watch on PBS's website.
-
Back from a fantastic, magical eleventh anniversary show. Very full house (must've had a few walk-ups), great audience, and the performers were wonderful.
-
More in the notes.
-
But first - get me off this damn page.

That's great, BK!
-
Congrats to you and to everyone in the cast!
-
Will there be pictures?
-
At least one.
-
Cool.

Did she finally acknowledge you for all the help you gave her, and the acting lessons?
-
Hi, Tom.
-
5ive!!!!!
-
I watched a very interesting docomentary about the New England Patriot’s player, Aaron Hernandez, who was convicted of murder and later committed suicide in his jail cell.
-
I believe that it was over two hours long, although I didn’t pay attention to when I started watching it.
-
It was three episodes of some series that they put together as one long program.
-
There is no way to know exactly why he killed himself, but in the days leading up to his death, one of the Boston sports radio programs had been spending a lot of air time laughing about his rumored gay relationships.
-
Good night, all.
So, that wasn’t all he wrote!

That's terrible that they did that.

Today, I ordered myself a very pretty AA chip to celebrate my being sober for twenty-eight years. My AA birthday is this Tuesday. My birthdate is 9/28/1993

Congrats, Tom! Now, on to the next 28 years!! :D
-
I haven’t gotten any birthday chips for years and years, but I really liked the one I bought my sister, so I thought I deserved one for me.
-
Notes are written and ready to post.
-
But shouldn't we have a few more postings?
-
Just so we're not unseemly?
-
I gotta tell you.

I imagine that in another 28 years i wouldn’t have any idea what I was celebrating.

Hope is the thing with feathers.

And feathers is the thing with hope.

That is why I kind of laughed when I signed those 30-year mortgage papers. I doubt in thirty years that either I, or these condos, will still be standing.
