Well, you've read the notes, the notes were frustrated but got it out of the way, and now it is time for you to post until the frustrated cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: MELLIFLUOUS!
-
~~~Break Legs Vibes for Tonight's Staged Reading!!~~~
-
Good morning, all!
-
I have a crazy morning. At 8:00 Access-a-Ride will hopefully arrive and get me to my lab appointment for tests prior to next week's checkup. Then at 10:30 I will head uptown for my Covid booster shot.
-
I have no more news at the moment.
-
Good morning, friends.
A simple, but cute, costume idea:
~~~PUNCTUAL TRAVEL VIBES~~~ for DR elmore3003!!!!!
-
DR TCB, congratulations on your lofty new perch in the HHW firmament!!!
-
Good morning, all.
-
Ride and booster vibes for Elmore.
-
Congratulations, TCB, on your new plateau.
-
I don’t want to move today.
-
Good morning to all.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Monday has returned.
And I'm back to rehearsal tonight.
-
The beautiful days continue. It's bright, sunny, DRY (thank you), and many leaves are still on many trees.
At some point, like really soon, I need to get out there and work on fall cleanup. It just isn't going to be today.
-
Vibes for RIDE SUCCESS for DR Elmore today
-
Vibes for a great staged reading tonight!
-
Very interesting, this Black Tights ballet movie. I never knew about it. I just took a quick look at the YouTube copy. Most unfortunate. Is that gate weave, or did somebody film it off a screen? But never mind that. Who owns it, and what materials exist? What a restoration coup that could be.
-
Vibes for MR BK & Co.
-
Congrats to DR TCB on his millstone and $40 dinner - that he almost had.
-
Rehearsal vibes for DR CHAS SMITH.
-
I at last have all the info I need to make the season slides - so I shall do that today.

Good morning.
-
This was supposed to be a vacation week. It ended up being canceled, for a few reasons.
-
Measuring the image of Black Tights on my computer screen, I get a 1.9:1 aspect ratio. Judging by the titles, what's there is at least centered. Definitely missing some sides, though.
Cole slaw and fries for me, please.
I'm here all week!
-
Access-a-Ride never showed up. I had to reschedule my lab work to tomorrow. I hope they show up for my ride for the booster at 10:30.

What in the HOLY HELL??
-
Good morning!
-
Congrats, TCB, on your milestone!
-
And here's the kicker: at 9:15 my ride called to tell me he was here. I told him he was an hour late and I no longer needed him. It really pisses me off.
-
For the urgent appointments, perhaps it's worth it just paying for a taxi.
-
As clearly Access-a-Ride is not reliable.

If/when the radiation treatments begin, AAR $5.50 roundtrip a day for 30 days is much preferable than a $40 roundtrip taxi
-
Monday morning greetings! The crew is back working on our street. We think this is the beginning of the end and we'll soon have a nicely paved Poinciana Road.

A real find. It’s probably sitting in a can next to the cuts from The Magnificent Ambersons.

What a pain, Elmore.

Did you know....
AccuRadio (free Internet radio, albeit with ads) has one channel SOLELY devoted to different recordings of Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas is You."
I'd rather slit my throat, thank you.
-
I’m pleased to note that the plagiarism claim is being taken very seriously, and I have actually been thanked for pointing it out and offering a workable solution that won’t have a great impact. They understand that work lies ahead, but they’re willing to address it. You never know with other departments.

No. All I want for Christmas is a Christmas without “All I Want for Christmas.”

And also ~~~LITTLE MIRACLE VIBES~~~ for bk!!!!

The Access-a-Ride arrived at exactly 10:30, and I arrived at the CVS by 10:40. I was boostered as soon as I got there, not at my appointment time of 11:30. I called AccesspapRide to see if I could get an earlier ride back, rather than wait another hour, and they had nothing available, so I cancelled the ride and took a taxi home. I was home by 11:15.

That's good news DR ELMORE.
-
I'm up, I'm up - almost six hours of sleep. Something was wrong with the old tummy last night - not nauseous, just weird tightening or something - rather like food poisoning but I know exactly what I ate and nothing was bad.
-
I do know that on top of that I had allergy issues, too.

I am actually surprised you aren't waiting longer after having covid. I haven't read anything one way or another and had been wondering if Bryan should get a booster. How did you base your decision to do this?
-
Last night I began reading The Lincoln Highway. So far I like it.

Anyone have a good Christmas punch recipe? Can be with or without alcohol, but bear in mind, for those who want it, it will eventually have alcohol in it.

We followed our instincts, DR Jane, and the advice of the pharmacist who gave Richard his flu shot.

I shall now be on my way to the theater.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Hectic day here. Once again AT&T rerouted my phone call to their own people. This time, however, it took considerably longer to go through the rigamarole to undo the rerouting instructions.
How does AT&T -- or anyone -- justify this sort of treatment to their customers? I can't imagine any customer being anything other than outraged. Do they really think this would motivate someone to buy a phone from them??
-
Car vibes to DR George! Your new car looks great and the color is lovely, couldn't be any nicer. I hope all goes well and it gives you many, many years of good service.
-
Mega roof vibes to DR Laura. I hope that the next repair takes care of it once and for all. You really should not have to go through it. (Which is stating the obvious.)

DR Elmore, does Access-a-Ride have any explanation for their repeated failures?
Sorry you had yet another bad experience with them.
-
This was supposed to be a vacation week. It ended up being canceled, for a few reasons.
Sorry to hear that. I hope you're able to do it soon.

It good to hear that the Powers That Be in your work world care about doing what is right. And clever you for finding a good solution.

DR Elmore and other cat lovers:
I was at Trader Joe's today and they had advent calendars for cats! Little cat treats inside! There's a version for dogs, too. They looked very cute!

Hi, George.
-
Listening to David Sedaris and Tracy Ullmann read his latest volume of diaries, A Carnival of Snackery. Really funny. Can't reprint much of it. But I am laughing.
-
I wish I had more to post.
-
But work was hard.
-
Dance involved a hard two-step step.
-
And now I'm ready for bed.
-
But I would like to get onto page four soon.
-
It's coming soon.
-
I promise.
-
Four!
-
See. I promised.

We got a counteroffer bid on Mom's house today. It was really low, but I think Mom will take and I think that's a good thing.
-
She doesn't need to worry about it any more.
-
I need to get to work early tomorrow.
-
So, I will say good night.
-
Hi, George.
Hi, John. Sorry I missed you. :-\
-

Congrats! There are times when it's better to just sell a house rather than try to get the absolute best price.
-
She doesn't need to worry about it any more.
That's definitely part of the equation and something to consider.
-

Thanks, Jeanne! I really do hope it all works out!

No posts since 9:46?
-
Back from our reading - some very odd low energy for the first two scenes, then everything picked up and there were some nice laughs and all the songs went over great and everyone loved the little simple staging bits.
-
Not much hope at that speed.
-
Of course, with no one here it doesn’t help.
-
Let me ask this question (it is a story problem).
-
Somewhere in the Seattle area today (I didn’t pay attention where), a young man was walking through this neighborhood firing his gun.
-
He wasn’t shooting at people, but at houses and trees, etc.
-
911 was called and several police units showed up.
-
The young man started advancing towards the officers, and the police repeatedly warned him to stop and put down his gun.
-
The young man continued advancing, so the police shot and killed the young man.
-
Now for my question: Has anyone ever heard of shooting a suspect in the foot? Or in his shooting hand?
-
Now, if these officers are crack shots so that they kill him outright, would it be that hard to aim for a limb?
-
Seeing someone react to being shot in the foot, you can see that the person is in great pain.
-
If the first rounds don’t stop him, then go ahead and kill the bastard, but really?
-
Thank you for all the good wishes to my posting plateau.
-
I guess I need to pay more attention.
-
Doesn’t anybody have a birthday this month?
-
Our posting counts seem to go up on birth days!
-
Page 5
-
Positive vibes to all who need them.
-
Now, if these officers are crack shots so that they kill him outright, would it be that hard to aim for a limb?
I've always wondered about this...or, why not bring a tranquilizer gun and attempt to tranquilize them before killing them?? There have to be situations where that would be an easy thing to do.
-
Hi, Tom.
-
I don’t really have an answer to today’s topic, although I see that George had 20 posts crammed into one!
-

I just looked at the HHW Calendar (http://www.haineshisway.com/smf/index.php?action=calendar) and there's a pretty significant anniversary tomorrow! ;D

I’m not sure that tranquilizer guns work as well on people as on rhinos. Plus, I think it takes several minutes to take effect.

A single list isn't as bad as a multi-paragraph essay that several others have posted. ::)
-
Saw my eye doctor today.
-
My eye pressures were the lowest they have been since I got glaucoma.
-
I have no idea what I did right?
-
So, I can’t keep up the good work.
-
My eye pressures were the lowest they have been since I got glaucoma.
Congrats!

But, I don’t have to return for six months.
