Well, you've read the notes, the notes were released and were delightfully delightful, and now it is time for you to post until the released delightfully delightful cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: STEADFAST!
-
AARRGGHH!! I fell asleep again last night! :o
-
Obviously, I don't get enough sleep, but still, why couldn't I stay awake?? Anyway, I'm up now. ::)
-
And both CDs have been ordered! I'm listening to the samples and I can't wait to hear the entire CDs! ;D
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept okay, not as well as the night before. I was up too many times. Annabelle stayed with me all night, and surprisingly, Stella stayed with me for quite some time.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Today is Veteran's Day.
Most state agencies are closed today.
But not us. Oh yes, we're open for business as usual.

I'm loving Gwen Cooper's Love Saves the Day (still don't like the title), and I don't recall reading a novel ever before with such a continued and palpable sense of loss and grief. The essential okit si far is this: three years earlier Sarah, an older single woman dealing with a strained relationship with her daughter Laura, finds on the Lower East Side a 5-week old kitten she banes Prudence, who narrates the book. After three years of a loving relationship, Sarah doesn't return home after work and Prudence spends several days waiting for Sarah to come home and feed her. For a couple of days a friend of Sarah's comes in to feed her, and shortly thereafter Laura and her husband show up, empty the apartment, fill a van with selected items belonging to Sarah, and take the van and Prudence (it was in the will) from the Lower East Side to their highrise Upper West Side apartment, where Prudence refuses to leave the room filled with cartons of Sarah's things where she plans to wait for Sarah to come and fetch her.

Yesterday, I accomplished very little. Most of my day was preoccupied with thoughts about the 4:00 Zoom meeting, which lasted 40 minutes. Things were clarified and other bits of business that were muddy became muddier. While there is much I like about the project, so much remains difficult and more complex than I would like.
-
Today I am going to work for a while on Kern's Oh, Boy!, which I've putr on holdf for the past couple of months, and I do need to finish up.
-
Yesterday, I got an email about a Christmas arrangement for men's chorus that I wrote in 1991. I hadn't seen the thing in 30 years, so I asked them to send me the copy my publisher had sent them, and I asked the New York City Gay Men's Chorus to send me a scan of the original, if they had a photocopy in their archive.
-
It turns out my publisher botched the cut and paste job they've been selling for the past 20 years and no one's ever questioned it. So. I emails to write to various and sundry parties about this.
-
I cannot believe the bullshit this ass of a judge and the defense for cleaned up Kyle Rittenhouse are making of the justice system.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I have a lot yo fo before leaving for San Angelo for a couple of days.
-
I love those two CDs, especially the song There’s a Great Day Coming Manana
-
Good morning.
-
The zoom thing went over two hours last night. Interesting stuff, but the audio went bad for about the last half hour.
-
Feeling back to normal today.
-
Happy Veterans Day.
-
Feeling back to normal today.
That’s great news.
-
Sounds like all of us who just got boosters have made it through the side effects ok.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I've now taken care of all email business, and I'm happy it's finished. I will now take garbage to the basement and then head to my work table.
-
Well, we open two weeks from tomorrow night, on Black Friday. We had our first complete run-through with costumes and props last night, and it went surprisingly well. There's still much to be done, of course, but that will happen.
It's weird, because for the first time since I've been involved with the show, now on its fourth run, three of the cast (of six) are new. Which means that this year, we're having to actually do some "work".
So, after tonight, a welcome three day weekend, then there will be no rest for the wicked until the day before Thanksgiving. We'll have those two days off, then open "cold" on Friday.
-
Good morning!
-
One more...

Page 2!

Project vibes for DR ELMORE.
-
CDs ordered.

So yesterday I went out on the front porch [sans gun & dog] at 5 p.m. I just sat down when the UPS truck stopped.
But the driver took a box to the house across the street. Then he jumped in his truck and drove around the corner.
Less than a minute later he came around the corner walking on the sidewalk and carrying a box. He said...."Is this 20?"
I said YES.....he walked on the sidewalk and the driveway instead of walking on the grass and put my chair on the front porch.....I told him it's a question everyone has been asking for 62 years since my house had been built facing east instead of north.
-
The chair was not difficult to assemble and it is comfortable but will take some getting used to.
-
From John:
What did you think of the end, Jane?
POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT!
Mixed feelings though I did think it fit the theme of unknown consequences due to our actions. I was not sad at all.
-
From TCB:
I thought that was Bruce.
;D

Good thing you were sitting on your porch, but then that is why you were out there :)

Thursday afternoon greetings!
Sounds like all of us who just got boosters have made it through the side effects ok.
Hope so, DR Laura, because Richard and I just had our boosters this morning. Glad to hear you’re feeling better today.
-
My goal is to finish reading The Lincoln Highway before the weekend is out.
-
I was thinking you already had your boosters, Ginny. I guess I read that you had appointments for them.
I'm curious to see if two jabs and covid will keep you from getting a reaction to the booster.
-
I have never had a pharmacist seem annoyed to give immunizations. They have always seemed very cheerful about giving them. Maybe they are just overwhelmed right now.
Yesterday's pharmacist really didn't even say a word to us.
-
He wiped my arm with a sanitizer wipe, turned around and got the needle, gave me a jab NOT where he wiped, then turned around and got a bandaid and applied it neither where he wiped my arm nor where he gave the shot.
Sandra said the same.
-
That is bizarre, DR Laura.
-
Doesn't EVERYONE need a porcelain gravy cat for their Thanksgiving table?
-
That is bizarre, too.
-
And outre.
-
To use one of bk's favorite words.
-
My goal is to finish reading The Lincoln Highway before the weekend is out.
My wonderful neighbor Ann is currently reading that, too.
-

Mine was great. I was wearing a cat T-shirt and we talked about my three little devils.

You should call the main office and complain.

:o A word is supposed to be said, such as confirming who you are and what you are receiving.
-

Something is wrong. Did you say anything? I do hope he confirmed, or that you saw proof, it was the correct vaccination.
-
Well, this is a day for a band to play! For the first time in months, Annabelle actually seemed eager to eat dinner with her brother and sister. Usually, she avoids all attempts to get her yo eat, then spends the next two hours complaining because she;s hungry.
-
I'm not going to worry about it. They've been giving lots of covid shots lately. I got covid shot reactions, so I'm sure I got the right shot.
I just thought it was odd that he seemed so annoyed. I truly do think the pharmacies have taken on a huge load with this vaccination. Many of the pharmacies around here are severely understaffed.
-
Well, I am making up for yesterday's lethargy. I was going to just lay low today, but I reorganized one kitchen cabinet ...
Luckily a local no-kill cat shelter is seeking donations for their yard sale this weekend.
-
I'm keeping the pants, though. My goal now is to fit into them!
-
(They really DO look huge, though.)
-
I'm up, I'm up - ten hours of needed sleep and good sleep.
-
Sounds like all of us who just got boosters have made it through the side effects ok.
Very good news!

-
Oh, look! It's Page Three!! ;D
-
Maybe it was his first day on the vaccination job.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
The new CDs look very interesting. I'm looking forward to them.
-
I'm at home today, waiting for my new iPhone to arrive. My trip to Best Buy last week was fruitful and I was able to finalize my decision, but they don't sell unlocked phones. Yesterday I ordered the new one from Apple, which may be to only way now to purchase a new, unlocked iPhone, but what a lot of glitzy marketing I had to go though to get to the page where you make the purchase! In any case, it's supposed to be here today.
-
The plan is to take it to the local Target to be activated, which I hope to do before Christmas shopping gets insane there.
-
TOD:
I recently watched season 2 of MANHUNT, a British series starring Martin Clunes. Both s1 and s2 are very good and worth watching. Both are based on real cases. Available on Acorn TV.

Vibes to all.
TTFN.

As long as you feel comfortable you had the correct vaccination I agree not to worry about it.

Good vibes you succeed.

Huge :o I thought you meant small. :D

When we got our first Shingrix we were convinced it was an intern who gave it to us. She injected us way too slow and it hurt like heck.

Activated for which phone service?

Shingrix has to be very deep. I found that out afterward.
-
Made it to San Angelo. Had a nice nap afterward.
-
The three-hour drive was pleasant and relaxing.
-
JB’s blood test results came back and the meds seem to be working.
-

Very good news, John!
-
I remember the pharmacist telling me the Shingrex shot was slow and would hurt. I was just so happy I finally found one that I was ok with it. I looked for it for eight months before I found one.
-
*trying to imagine giving a stubborn bird some pills*

The second one hurt but nothing like the first one.

What are you doing in San Angelo?

Excellent.

Do you mean a pharmacist you were ok with to give you the injection? If so, wise decision. We made sure not to get the same person for the second dose.
-
*trying to imagine giving a stubborn bird some pills*
LOL, I didn't think of that.
-
The only true crime book and movie I can think of at the moment is IN COLD BLOOD.
-
I thought of another one....
-
Devil in the White City.
-
I just did a search of best true crime books. Apparently I haven't read many and can't think of anymore I would highly rate.
-

I got the first Shingrix shot back in February or March, but haven't gotten the second shot, yet. I don't remember it bothering me much at all.

I don't think I've read any true crime books...novels, of course, but not crime non-fiction.

You should have gotten the second one in August or September.

I prefer false crime, myself.
-
This is the oboist my DH has engaged for Christmas Eve services.
There will be a Babe in the manger, and a Babe in the choir loft, too! ;)
-
I prefer false crime, myself.
;D
I do as well.
-
I take it Jason G. wasn't available?
-
DR Laura - given the current configuration of your house, I'm really hoping you'll give this decorating theme a try this year.
-
Does anyone who grew up in the Midwest remember this grocery chain?

-
Good night, friends.
-
Does anyone who grew up in the Midwest remember this grocery chain?
No, but I remember the one called Big Bear.
-
That's awesome.

Yikes! :o
-
Today, I went to the local Meconi's for a late lunch/early dinner, then I bought some button batteries for my mom at Fred Meyer, then I got gas at Costco.
-
Then, I went into Costco and on a whim I bought myself a new shower head.
-
I think I bought my current one when I moved in here, 15 years ago. :)
-
Anyway, here's what the new one looks like...without me modeling, of course! ;)
-
It was on sale, $25 off the Costco price!
-
The lower shower head is attached with magnets.
-
That's going to take a little getting used to, instead of just setting the thing in a holder, like my old one.
-
I'm up, I'm up - oh, wait...
-
Finished with my viewing.
-
With my viewing I'm finished.
-
Glad Jeanne got a brand new iPhone.
-
Glad we're on page five.
-
Glad I'm having a turkey sandwich.
-
Had a couple of sausage sandwiches earlier - they're really not bad, calorie-wise, and these sausages were smaller than the last batch.
-
This is the oboist my DH has engaged for Christmas Eve services.

Can I attend??

I would love to test his embouchure!
-
At least we are on page 5.
-
Not very far into it, but I will take what I can get.
-
Our weather is crazy.
-
We are in what is called a Pineapple Express.
-
It is a massive surge of moisture coming all the way from Hawaii.
-
It is currently about 54 degrees, but by dawn tomorrow, the temp will be up to 60 degrees.
-
We are having non-stop heavy rain.
-
We may have heavy flooding by Sunday..
-
Tomorrow, I am suppose to have lunch with friend, Sharry.
-
Post #135!
-
Well, it has been fun chatting with *****. Good night.
-
Tomorrow, I am suppose to have lunch with friend, Sharry.
Have a great time, Tom!
-
I've been busy working on making a Blu-ray for my niece.
-
It's one of the Hallmark Christmas movies. ::)
-
For some reason, she really likes them.
-
Fortunately, not all of them.
-
She makes sure that she only asks me to record the ones that she really wants to keep, which is usually works out to be not more than one or two a week.
-
I recorded this particular title last Saturday.
-
She wanted me to record another title last Saturday, also, but it was already broadcast by the time she asked, and Comcast's guide didn't show any rebroadcasting for the upcoming week.
-
I kept checking and a couple of days later, it showed up and will be rebroadcast tomorrow night.
-
My DVR is set to record it.
-
Then, I'll make a Blu-ray of that title.
-
I'll be done for now because she hasn't asked me to record any upcoming movies...yet.
-
And now...
-
six! ! ! ! ! !

Gratuitous Post #151!
And my post #106000! :D
-
Well, I hate to to it, but I need to go to bed now. I need to get to work early because I came in late on Tuesday, and I need to make up the time.
Have a good day tomorrow, all!
