I've spent the last hour working on three recording schedules.

What the HELL?
$8.40 shipping for one (count 'em) 2-CD set from Screen Archives?
(Gift for someone, and no choice but to buy it there.)
I'm probably just out of touch with current charges for such things.
Today I am attending a conference by Zoom. The venue had canceled us, so zooming it is. Amazing how this long into the pandemic there are people who don't know about muting themselves.
I can see that I would like it just from the photograph DR JANE.
My uncle had other company today, so I didn't stay long.
I was requested to come back tomorrow to talk about "some things" which I don't look forward to - but which I am glad to do.
I had a small square of Ghiradelli dark chocolate with 92% cacao yesterday. Bitter and not overly sweet, but also delicious.
In other news (because there's always other news)...
I renewed my drivers license online today.
I'm good for another six years. (Don't quote me, that's what the card says.)
I was actually a little sad when it was time to renew. In December 2015, I went to our local AAA office instead of the DMV because they had recently begun doing license renewals for members right there, and it was the single finest experience I've ever had doing any such thing. Nice office, nice people, hardly any wait, and everything about the process was smooth and efficient, including the extra steps of getting the "Real ID" (verified) version of the license. As a result, every time I looked at that license, I had a good memory of that extraordinarily pleasant visit -- as opposed to the standard horrible lines in an office from Hell, serviced by people from Hell, and an entire morning or afternoon feeling ruined by it. Anyone who has ever experienced a typically hellish motor vehicles office knows whereof I speak.
So as it happens, some loophole was found in the agreement as to what AAA can and can't do (according to the state), and as of this moment they can't offer that service. But I jumped at the chance to do it online. The setting up of an account wasn't totally painless due to a couple of glitches, but the renewal itself went fine, and in a couple of weeks I'll be able to look at the new dates and the 2015 photo on my new license and see the past six years melt away. :)
I have seen the funniest thing ever on Zoom.
I'm sure it has happened many times before. Many many times. And will happen again.
Someone with a desktop computer got up, went into the bathroom in the background, and sat on the toilet.
why do we call pizza restaurants -- pizza parlors?
The Vixter and Vixhubby arrive on Thursday
He tested negative fir COVID I am pleased to say
And now he’s feeling better
My office is mask free since everyone is vaccinated and our desks are either 6 feet apart or separated by plexiglass partitions
He looked at me seriously and said ,” I think that’s the most courteous thing a co worker ever did for me, thank you”

Wonderful. How long are they staying?

Does that include boosters?

I’m not sure about boosters

Richard did something very festive to celebrate his birthday. He switched the screens to storm windows in the downstairs of our house.

Wow, they take the entire week off. I think that is a great way to do it.
Is he in the classroom with masked or unmasked students?

I still expect this project to collapse at any moment, but until it does, I must assume it will proceed successfully.

Back from the reading of a wretched new musical based on a short documentary - it seems to be all the rage these days to make musicals based on documentaries. To which I say - stop.
Spitzer was a feral cat that Bonnie adopted more than 14 years ago. He still acts that way sometimes. He has been neutered and well loved, but he has an alley cat nature.
