Well, you've read the notes, the notes were nauseous, and now it is time for you to post until the nauseous cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: ASTERISM!
-
Hope your nausea goes away and quickly, BK!
-
Today, I have the day off from work. My uncle Michael and my sister's boyfriend are going to the Centralia (Washington) outlet stores, and I'm going with them. I don't think that we'll be down there for very long, but it'll be some justification for me taking a whole day off work when I thought that they were going to Portland today, when they actually went yesterday...without me. But it's all good. :)
-
We'll come back and go to my mom's, who's making a Thanksgiving dinner tonight just because of Michael being here, so he won't miss out on that tradition. Then on Thursday, we'll have our actual Thanksgiving dinner...which is not really that traditional, with just about everyone wanting/liking different things. ::)
;)
-
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept rather well. I guess I can remove the bandages today. I was relieved not to find any blood on the sheets. And yesterday's late bad news: for Friday's MRI, I need a Fleet Enema Thursday night and another on Friday morning. I am not amused.
-
This morning I decided to move my alarm from 5:30 to 6:00 for the duration of the winter. That gives the apartment 30 minutes to warm up. It's too cold at 5:30.
-
I may need to step out to my pharmacy today, but I'd rather wait to tomorrow.
-
DR Ginny, how did Richard's accident occur? I assume he was not wearing shoes or slippers.
-
For the first time in over a year, DRs, I need some financial vibes. The money is running out, there's no work coming in, that property is not moving and I already know I cannot pay my third of the taxes in February. And with Access-a-Ride a continuous disaster, I am worried about paying for trip every day to my radiation treatments when they start up.
-
I have no way to even guess what recording I've played the most. In 1970 it was most likely the OBC of Company, in the 1980s when I had no cable and poor TV reception, it might have been anything by Ravel or one of Tchaikovsky's ballets. In the 1990s, it would have been the lastest BK recording I worked on.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
DR TCB - red M&Ms, I believe.
-
bk: thank you for answering my question about the Ghibli films!!
-
~~~VIBE$~~~ for DR elmore3003!!!!!
-
Good morning, all.
TOD:
Back in my vinyl days, I wore out copies of:
Mary Poppins
A Little Night Music
At Long Last Love
The Andrews Sisters Greatest Hits
Neil Diamond’s Tap Root Manuscript
-
Good morning, all.
-
OMG, fast healing vibes for the foot of DH Richard!
-
Huge financial and ride vibes for DR Elmore!
-
I have a very busy day today, and must get cracking. I'll try not to be scarce, but this one comes with no guarantees.
Very best vibes for the entire lot of us!
-
Tuesday morning greetings! I crashed very early last night and slept until after 8 this morning. Richard is still asleep, which is a good thing.
-
Thank you to DRs JRand and TCB for last night wishes for Richard.
-
OMG, fast healing vibes for the foot of DH Richard!
Thank you, DR ChasSmith!
-
DR Ginny, how did Richard's accident occur? I assume he was not wearing shoes or slippers.
He had just poured the boiling water into a tall insulated mug and must have knocked it over when he started stirring it. He was wearing sandals with socks and the hot water soaked into the sock, making it, essentially, a scalding compress.
-
Sounds horrible, Ginny.
-
I loved Passing when I read it maybe 12 years ago. The novel really stayed with me. Of course, that doesn’t mean the movie is good, but I do want to see it.
-
As for Rebecca Hall, I was mesmerized by her performance in Parade’s End as the deceitful wife of Benedict Cumberbatch. Again, another book (well, four books) that stayed with me. But I can’t remember her in much else. I didn’t realize her father was Peter Hall.
-
Two!
-
Super Super Financial Vibes for DR ELMORE.
-
Well it is kind of a limbo day - sans pole - the EVENT is tomorrow and everything that we can do until then is done.
Today I have to try on a couple of my suits to find the best one.....and then I have to rehearse my sign language version of The Rose.
My Uncle wanted it played & signed.....but he wants the Conway Twitty version and that man plays fast and loose with the verses and lyrics....he starts at the end, goes back to the beginning, puts in a recitation....and then ends with the middle.....
-
But I may have already written about that.....I don't remember.
-
Very interesting TOD.
Hmmmm......
LP:
Bridge Over Troubled Water
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
Van Cliburn - Tchaik's First Piano Concerto - on extended play 45 RPM.
CDS:
Joseph & the AMazing Technicolor Dreamcoat London Palladium 1992
Haines His Way
Doris Day Singles From the 1960's
OMG, the sock. Horrible. More healing vibes!
From John:
I also managed to get near the end of Cloud Cuckoo Land. I can't say I liked it. Can't say I disliked it. It just is. I never developed much interest in most of the characters.
That sounds similar to my reaction.
-
DR TCB we rarely go to Portland, and I have only gone alone for medical tests.
-
Remember TCB, we only have one car between us.
-
Hope your nausea goes away and quickly, BK!
Ditto.
I ate breakfast and, as usual, am nauseated.
Grammy noms for best cast album are interesting.
-
I liked Girl from the North Country. It may be the only one I have heard.
-
I'm up, I'm up - about six and a half hours of sleep.
-
I think another screener arrived, so I'll go pick that up.
-
The reviews of House of Gucci make it sound like a Jackie Susann adaptation. Sleaze and trash and soap opera. We need a good bad movie like that.
-
My brother Randy just called. My mother's oldest brother, last survivor of her six siblings, has died. He was a shit, who took his time traveling back to Ohio when his son was dying from leukemia and did nothing when his last living sister, my mother, died. His second wife was as nasty a piece of work as Lady Macbeth, and she treated her stepchildren terribly. When Randy told me he was dead, all I saiud was "Good." There was a pause and Randy started laughing. Then he said, I guess I wanted toi say that, too.
Ordered a robot vacuum today. It was $100 off.
Another Grammy note:
Gaga and Tony Bennett got some love for Love for Sale.
I consider Cole Porter part of that magic.
-
Feeling better vibes for DR JANE.
-
DR JOHN's post reminded me....back in the day when the dance studio was on the square in Greencastle it was next to a men's clothing store called Ric's!
And about twice a year there would be a sign in the window that said:
Ric's Pants Half Off!
-
Well today I was asked to serve as executor of my uncle's estate with my sister.....so Monday at 2 p.m. we are going to the lawyer for a meeting.
It's a thankless tedious job, but I am not going to leave my sister alone with it - our cousin backed out....so there you are.
-
Big vibes to all.
-
Back from picking up packages - Xmas cards are here (early for the first time ever) - one screener (Tick...Tick...Boom) and one other movie from Ghibli, one I haven't seen - When Marnie Was Here.
-
~~~VIBE$~~~ for DR elmore3003!!!!!

Big vibes to all.
Amen.

Waiting impatiently in line at the At home store. Picking up something I should have bought the other day.
-
I liked Girl from the North Country. It may be the only one I have heard.
I've only heard ALW's Cinderella, and I do like it.

Not inaccurate for me. :)
-
Hello, everyone.
-
DR Ginny, so sorry to hear about DH Richard's foot! Ouch!
Vibes for a speedy recovery!
-
MEGA $$$ VIBES to DR Elmore and anyone else who needs them!
-
Medical procedure (and BS) vibes to Elmore, too.
-
Hope your nausea goes away and quickly, BK!
Ditto.
I ate breakfast and, as usual, am nauseated.
Jane, have you tried drinking a small glass of alkaline water about 20-30 minutes before eating? I'm a big fan of it and it's available at many grocery stores. It's such an easy way to deal with gut issues.
Or Arsenicum Album 30C as needed. Excellent for nausea, but once you have it. I doubt that it'll work preventatively.
Vibes you find a solution.

I bet that got a lot of chuckles.

Does that mean you forfeit the $8 million you stood to inherit?
-
TOD:
If you narrow that down to CHRISTMAS CDs then it's no contest: THIS CHRISTMAS. I'm not a big Christmas person and don't normally listen to much Christmas music, but I've listened to this CD a lot.
Other, non-holiday, CDs would include Liz Callaway's CD that Bruce produced. There are others, but they're not coming to mind just now.
-
Feeling better vibes for DR JANE.
Thank you, however, it is a chronic problem.
-
~~~CONTINUING VIBES OF COMFORT AND CONSOLATION~~~ for DR Jrand71 and family!!!!
Yes, vibes all goes as smoothly as possible.
You are very kind. Legally you can also take a fee for the work you are doing.
-
Ordered a robot vacuum today. It was $100 off.
Let us know which you purchased and whether you like it. I've considered one, but they need to be programmed to your room, meaning, I suspect, that everything must stay in the same place. Whereas my clutter likes to move around a bit.
This kid needs a nap.
TTFN.
Thanks for the suggestion except once I began drinking it I would become nauseated. What I would prefer to do is skip breakfast. I am not as bad as I used to be so that is something. The good thing is, once I begin exercising I slowly begin to feel better, at least until I eat again.
I didn't know it had to be programmed for your room. A few years back we purchased one from Costco and liked it, however, we didn't feel it was worth the price.
Thank you, DR Jeanne. I think this will take a while…
-
The robovac was $137. I can’t remember the brand.
-
Finishing up The Stand. The story is over but there’s 30 more minutes to go. Yawn.
-
Got a little more decorated.
-
I got out my wooden train set. It still has the $10 price tag on the box from when I bought it 25 or more years ago.
Here you go. The only place I had for it was on top of some of the dVDs I have to watch.
-
Watching a fascinating TV interview with Luchino Visconti that could never be made today. He’s answering questions from an audience of professors and diplomats, theater experts and historians. The questions are thoughtful, the answers are in depth and in complete sentences.
-
Am I wrong to want more of that?
No.
We've left my mom's house and said our goodbyes to my uncle.
-
I rode with my sister and niece and my sister's boyfriend so we didn't have to take three cars.
-
And now, I'll go home and maybe take a nap. 8)
-
We'll see how I feel when I get home.
-
We've left my mom's house and said our goodbyes to my uncle.
It's sounds like it was a nice visit.
-
I had to run to the grocery store because I forgot a couple of ingredients for a congealed salad that Joy wants.
-
It was still busy after 9:30 p.m. People were still buying frozen turkeys. I wish them well in getting those things thawed in time.
-
Lots of frozen food being purchased.
-
Oh, well.
Not taking a nap. Too many YouTube vids to watch.
After all those extras, let me just say I'm "Damned" tired.
Good night, George.
Good night, all.
Plenty of time! Those are the Christmas turkeys!
DR TCB we rarely go to Portland, and I have only gone alone for medical tests.
I didn’t mean you should go alone, Jane. Couldn’t you and Keith go to Portland together, some time, and perhaps stop by Voodoo Donuts?
-
A friend from grade school just sent me a message and a photo saying that 77 years ago, the first Tacoma Narrows Bridge (Galloping Gertie) collapsed into the Tacoma Narrows. Nice photo, except the anniversary was actually on November 7.
They are appearing on STEPHEN COLBERT tonight.
Multi-vibes and prayers for DR Elmore!!
Couldn't be happier than having Kiki as my Ghibli zodiac sign.
Lots of info in the notes.
And I don't care who knows it. And I don't care if it knows who.
And here I sit like so much fish.
