Kathy Griffin was on JIMMY KIMMEL. She had lung cancer and she now sounds like Minnie Mouse.
FWIW: Whenever I need a pick-me-up, I watch a video clip from the MGM musical "Best Foot Forward". It's a number done with Nancy Walker called "Alive and Kickin'". In it she dances with band leader Harry James.

As you are all aware, WHO and the CDC are warning us about a new variant of the COVID-19 virus. They have named it "Omicron". That is a Greek word. It is pronounced OH'-MEE-KROHN. Emphasis on the "O".
I truly hope they never have a variant they name "Omega"...because that would be the end. Of the Greek alphabet, at least.
Oy.
DR RON PULLIAM - I watch a crazy show on the ID Network - I think - called Love After Lockup about folks who start relationships with people in prison and then try to make it work on the outside when said prisoner is released.
It is a trainwreck as you might expect and the delusion is REAL.
One man who thinks he is good-looking and smart and chases a lot of women who love him - because he has a couple of million dollars - said a couple of weeks ago that he was interested in getting married in a church. And he proclaimed that G*d is the Alpha and the Ro-meo.
Tuesday morning greetings! Another member of the lousy sleep club checking in - I've been awake since 5am, up since 6.

I'm giving it my best, DR Ron. Meanwhile, thanks for the earworm!
Perri. Wow. I remember nothing about the film, and I would probably have never remembered on my own that it even existed. But I know we as a family saw it. Whether that was at a theater or drive-in or on television, I couldn't tell you. Very likely a drive-in, actually.
As Bruce has already alerted us, today is truly the final day of the month of November in the year two thousand twenty-one.
All right, I am very perpleed.
I attempted to reply to a post by JohnG.
When I pressed submit, the system said I had already posted the reply.
I don't see it anywhere.
Is there an HHW triangle where such posts float around and later land with a thud?
On the previous page, DR JohnG said that the British get the pronunciations of things like Genghis Khan and Don Quixote correct.
And yet they muffle things like "oregano".
How, you may ask?
The Italians pronounce it Oh-REG-uh-NO (emphasis on the all-caps).
We Americans pronounce it the same way.
But the Brits pronounce it Oh-reh-GAH-no.
I mean...really.
We had bought the double pack of 12 rolls each of the Kings Hawaiian rolls, and I just now polished off the last three -- in the first package! Oy! But they are delicious, and I promise that the rest will not go to waste.
Making these even more of an indulgence, I had also bought Kerrygold butter which is a bit on the pricey side, and the combination is to die for. Or perhaps to die OF...
The strawberry preserves don't exactly suck, either. Oy!
My Amazon Studio device has just informed me that Melissa McCarthy is available to tell me the weather or some jokes...for a fee, of course.
Why I would want this, Alexa did not say.
I would not want this under any circumstances...not even free.
For fillm music and film musical lovers, this afternoon at Noon, PST, La-La Land Records will begin taking orders for two rather special and unique film scores.
One is Alfred Newman's complete score to 1959's "The Diary of Anne Frank". This is the first legitimate release of the score. It will be a 2-CD set that features the complete score as heard in the film, and then the cues of the LP presentation that was issued on 20th-Fox (All You Hear is Beauty) Records.
As excited as I am about that, I am equally excited by the other: A 3-CD release of all the music from "Fiddler on the Roof". This should prover to be a stunning set...with all the cues in their original presentation. This is enormous for John Williams fans because his adaptation of the Broadway score to this film won him his first Academy Award.
Yes, it's going to be a nice day, now that I have remembered that.
Lucy just messed up Ricky's screen test.
Director: "We can't use the scene, but it was a lovely mazurka!"
Hi Ron.
Horrible news out of Michigan.
Now for the good news: the Miami University Alumni blog published this today:

Horrible news out of Michigan.
But I don't feel like dancing.
:)
Ron, it's good to have you back in these here parts.
The two titles I announced this morning are now up for sale at La-La Land Records, as well as at Screen Archives Entertainment.
They told me to call back in 10 minutes for updates. Twice. Around 1:40 the AAR person on the phone suggested she cancel that trip and rebook one for 1:50. I stupidly agreed. At 2:50 I gathered my things, walked to the corner and got a taxi. As far as I know, the 1:50 ride still has not shown up.
If this is my life for 30 days of radiation, I'd just as soon let the cancer kill me.

A VISIT TO THE DRIVE-IN PHARMACY
Clerk: Picking up or dropping off?
Me: Picking up
Clerk: Name?
Me: TCB
Clerk: Birthdate?
Me: 08/23/50
Clerk: (goes to computer and then returns) What was that birth date?
Me: 0-8, August. 2-3, 5-0
Clerk: Is that 1950?
I first went to CastAlbums.org (https://castalbums.org/) to see if there was a listing for the new Fiddler (http://url=https://castalbums.org/recordings/Fiddler-on-the-Roof-1971-Film-Soundtrack/1621/) and there was, but I saw that there was also a new live recording of Brigadoon (https://castalbums.org/recordings/Brigadoon-2019-Vienna-Cast/46419#70626). It's the 2019 live Vienna cast recording on two CDs. I think I need to order that, too.

If it wasn’t 1950, it would have to be 1850!! How old do I look?
