Well, you've read the notes, the notes were funny, warm, touching, and semi-wonderful, and now it is time for you to post until the funny, warm, touching, and wonderful cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: STEWARDSHIP!
-
I love Heaven Can Wait! ;D

Today, I'm going to my sister's in the early afternoon to help her put up some Christmas lights around her porch. Hopefully, it won't take too long. I'm ushering again for Until the Flood (https://harlequinproductions.org/show/until-the-flood/).
-
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I had a great night of sleep and a lot of strange dreams, most of which I no longer remember. I remember trhese snippets:
1. Eating a very gooey pizza as I walked up Broadway from 79th Street with Dona, mother of my goddaughter Charlotte.
2. I was a subway cop investigating graft involving the mayor and chief of police
3. A Christmas party and a former friend dressed as a Christmas tree
-
This morning, Access-a-Ride will hopefully drive me to my pharmacy.
-
Good morning.
-
I now wait for word from Access-a-Ride.
-
Good morning, all.

Saturday. Today is the Celebration of life for my sister-in-law.
Two of her grandchildren sent us photos this morning for the slideshow that were requested last month..... The slideshow is done and timed with music.....
Idiots!
I don't think I will stay long.

I thought this was bizarre and kind of hysterical. Low bass warning!

When Big Profundo sang low "C"
All the ladies they would quiver
For the great big note that came from his throat
Seemed to make the timbers shiver
He could make you cry, he could make you sigh
With simple melody
For he sang with a will and your heart stood still
When Big Profundo sang low "C"

I had a most erratic night of sleep/non-sleep.
My sinuses have been runnng amok since early September, and some nights are fine and other nights not.
When they are fine, I am in bed with my CPAP getting beautiful sleep (if not "beauty sleep").
When they are not, I get a blanket and sit in my chair. Usually, after a couple of hours, I am breathing well enough to crawl into bed and use my CPAP.
Last nightl, I sat in my chair and snoozed until about 2:30 a.m. I got up and into bed and all was well until I awakened at 3:42 a.m. I got back into my chair and remained there until 6 a.m. Finally, I crawled into my bed and breathed effortlessly with my CPA{ until I woke up at 9:43 a.m.
Sigh.
-
It doesn't feel like a Saturday.
Yesterday felt like one when I awakened, but it was Friday.
I don't know what today actually feels like, though.
Maybe it will come to me.
-
I also had an erratic night of sleep filled with strange dreams.
The only one I remember is that I had to walk with Stephen Sondheim to the grocery store, and I was petrified that I was going to run out of conversation.
-
This duo is ap-pear-ently ready to plant the seeds of music in their audience's ear. If music be the food of love...
-
Good morning, all.
-
I’m indulging in a very slow and easy Saturday morning.
-
Very slow.
And very easy.
-
Another screwed up morning, thanks to the inept and incompetent Access-a-Ride service. I had pickup scheduled for 9:36, but by 9:40 there had been no word from AAR about the trip, so I called and spoke to a nice lady. She checked and told ne they were looking for a driver. I thanked her, hung up, called the automated AAR number and cancelled it. I walked to the corner and took a taxi.
-
When I got back, I unpacked my new phone from Amazon and spent an hour on the phone, first with Joshie, then with Spectrum Customer Service because the damned phone would not ring. It's going to Amazon. One customer review for the phone said that they had returned two defective models because they would not ring. The old phone lasted for nine years, but it needed replacing since it had been dropped one too many times.
-
The only good part of the day? I got my prescriptions.

But do you remember what groceries you had to pick up?

Baked the Springerle this morning and rolled out the second mound of dough. It went a little better than yesterday. The cookies taste pretty good.

BK, since I can’t make this year’s holiday show at Kritzerland, is it possible to watch the video of last year’s online?

Watching It Happened on 5th Avenue with a great Victor Moore as well as Gale Storm, Charlie Ruggles, Alan Hale Jr. and more.

As you all know, I loved Gwen Cooper's Love Saves the Day. The most horrifying part of the novel is based on the actual events that happened to the tenement at 172 Stanton Street on the Lower East Side. This was a sneaky deal between the city and landlord to turn a rent-controlled building into a million-dollar piece of real estate. Lady Gaga lived in the expensive apartments now standing there:

Another foggy day.
-
Saturday afternoon greetings! We’re settled in for a big college football doubleheader. Right now, the Cincinnati Bearcats are playing for the AAC championship and, if they win, they’ll advance to the national championship semifinals. This evening, Michigan plays for the Big Ten championship which would put them in the semis, too. Could the Bearcats and the Wolverines end up playing each other? If they do, I’ll be happy how ever the game turns out.
-
It's gray here today too, DR Jane.
-
We still got out for a walk. It's cool, but not frigid. Some light snow is expected tonight.
-
Glad the cookies, came out, DR John G. Better get them in the mail to mom ASAP. If DeJoy has his way, they won't get there by Christmas.
-
Sorry about the difficulties, DR elmore3003.
-
Today, I went to my sister's to start putting up Christmas lights on her front porch, but even though her porch is covered, it's cold and rainy, so we stopped.
-
I went to Eagan's to get us food (my sister paid), and it's quite good...as usual. :)
-
Good evening!
-
Hello, Kevin...and good bye! I'm off to usher. :)
-
I have nothing exciting to report.
-
But we must move on.
-
No one can say we didn't get to PAGE THREE.
-
Uh oh...
-
Good night, friends.
-
It's gray here today too, DR Jane.
Dissapointing was missing the beautiful scenery scenery we should have enjoyed the last couple of days.
-
Old town Sacramento is pretty at night with all of the Christmas lights.
-
Lots of people in town this Saturday night and for special activities. As it it crowded about have of the people are wearing masks outside. We put ours on a few times walking through the more congested area.
-
The big surprise is the number of people inside indoors NOT wearing masks. In the city that is the Capital of California :o
-
Back from an exhausting night of dancing.
-
Starting to watch The Shop Around the Corner.
-
Only recently has this become a Christmas essential. I guess it took buying a copy for that to happen.
-
Where is everyone today?
-
Got the rest of the Springerle baked.
-
Got many of my Christmas cards written.
-
I just remembered that I watched Little Shop with Mom and Dad on the last Christmas we spent together. Dad was charmed, especially at the end when Jimmy Stewart has to prove he’s not bow-legged.
-
It was part of a box set. We watched all four, and he enjoyed all but Christmas in Connecticut. He never liked Barbara Stanwyck.
-
I haven’t watched the extras on these movies until now.
-
One on this disc features a short on sound it has a scene with Nelson and Jeannette in Bittersweet as well as Gable and Lamarr in Comrade X.
-
Another short had a young Judy Garland singing Silent Night.
-
Wow.
-
A long way to the next page.
-
And I have to get to bed soon.
-
Tomorrow is a long day.
-
And the marathon is running through downtown tomorrow.
-
I have to usher for the Nutcracker.
-
Then it’s off to a party I look forward most every year.
-
Glad I have Monday off.
-
I just realized I got my shops mixed up.
-
This was Shop Around the Corner.
-
Not Little Shop.
-
One more.
-
Four!

Good night, all.

JohnG, all the online Kritzerland shows are on the haineshisway YouTube channel, including last year's holiday show.
-
Picked up some packages (more screeners and a nice package of A Carol Christmas scripts from the licensing house), saw the play, which was okay but confusing in many ways, and then supped with Doug Haverty.
-
Trying to get through a screener - a movie the critics fell all over themselves to say is the second coming. Believe me, it's anything but the second coming and I have no idea if I can finish it - I'm an hour in and there's a full hour to go so certainly not tonight, Josephine.
-
And the marathon is running through downtown tomorrow.
Same here.
-
'night
-
I hope George can get the post count up.
I have arrived...finally. ::)

FAR FROM THE MADDING CROWD
-
Tonight was the final performance of Until The Flood.
-
I think there were a lot of friends and family of the cast there tonight.
-
They were a good audience.
-
The director was there too, and they had an unannounced talk back...impromptu, actually, because it was only announced from the audience right after the show.
-
I was cold all day today.
-
The house manager didn't even know about it. :o I didn't stick around, though.
-
I finally just got under the covers.
-
I was cold all day today.
Cold and rainy, at least, down here.
-
Last night both cats slept with me and they were both still there this morning.
-
After leaving the theater, I did a little shopping at Fred Meyer for dinner at my mom's tomorrow.
-
I just got some diet Pepsi.
-
I also got some peppermint vodka for my niece.
-
It's seasonal, and she wanted a couple of extra bottles because they can last.
-
And fortunately, there were on sale!
-
Normally, they're $24.99+tax, but they're on sale for only $9.99+tax.
-
And now...

-
It is getting down below freezing tonight.
-
But clear and cold tomorrow. A day without rain!
-
I finally just got under the covers.
Sounds nice and cozy. :)
-
It is getting down below freezing tonight.
That doesn't sound cozy! :o
-
Normally, they're $24.99+tax, but they're on sale for only $9.99+tax.
Damn, I’ll bet that sale ended tonight.
-
I would have gotten my niece a bottle. She is the only drinker left in the family, but she doesn’t drink verymuch.
-
I do know she likes these weird flavored vodkas.
-
Maybe it is better not to have booze around my sister’s house.
-
I was going to add Sirius radio to my computer so I could listen to Sondheim tomorrow.
-
I couldn’t figure out the instructions, so I bagged that idea.
-

Damn, I’ll bet that sale ended tonight.
I don't know how long the sale will last. It may be until the stock runs out.
-
Good night, George. Nice talking to you.
-
Good night, George. Nice talking to you.
Good night, Tom. Nice chatting with you, too.

Where in tarnation IS everyone?
-
Most unseemly.
-
Unseemly most.
-
Why I oughta...
-
And I don't care who knows it.
-
I was reading "tomorrow's" notes!
-
...while waiting to see it there was going to be a new day of posts or not. ::)
-
;D
-
Yes, new day is here.
