We're jointly burning the candle at both ends! :)
John, we look forward to seeing photos of your Marathon Croquembouche.
DR JANE is in California and so are Ricky & Lucy Ricardo and Fred & Ethel Mertz.
DR JANE if you are near the Beverly Palms Hotel, drop by and say hello!
If you have access to the Sunday (today's) NY Times, grab it. The Arts & Leisure section has a tribute to Mr. Sondheim.
;D
Could that possibly be a parody?
They're starting to proliferate. Here's another one...
Those letters don't look real to me and if they're fake someone can explain why anyone would find that funny?
Today we saw a local production of Million Dollar Quartet Christmas. Jerry Lee Lewis was crazy.
DR George, my DH used to be the organist at this synagogue (Central Synagogue) in NYC.
Watching Christmas in Connecticut. Glad I've got dinner in front of me while I watch.
Patty McCormack stole the reviews. Apparently it was her first New York appearance since The Bad Seed.
A fool and his money are soon parted.
They heard that scream in outer space, Jane!
Happy Sunday everyone! There's a new Broadway Radio Show up on the website for your listening pleasure. Todd Almond, one of the stars of Broadway's Girl From The North Country, joins me to chat about his new folk infused holiday album A Pony For Christmas. Give it a listen!

PS: Yesterday, December 4th, was officially the 20th Anniversary of The Broadway Radio Show here on HainesHisWay.com. Here's to 20 more fun years!
I love that show. When I was in high school, Actors Theater of Louisville staged a revival, not too long before it sailed into New York. I saw it three times.
Bakersfield, California ::)

Umm.... I think the Bible left out mention of one of the major players at the manger.
Now watching Frosty the Snowman. I loved this as a kid. Nowadays, I like Jimmy Durante. But I keep hoping he'll break into Wood, his great song from The New Yorkers.
Nutcracker today was well danced, but it was also slightly weird. The company didn't have enough men dancers. Drosselmeyer was danced by a woman. The Clara seemed to be about 10, which made the relationship between the two no less disturbing. The wooden soldiers were also female as was one of the windup toys usually danced by a male. In the end, most of it didn't matter.
I keep thinking someone should mount a production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL, using the music from the MAGOO’S CHRISTMAS CAROL.
I love the duet between Martin Short and Harvey Fierstein.
