Well, you've read the notes notes, the notes were written in the House of BK, and now it is time for you to post until the House of Gucci cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: VENERATE!
-
Finished the sequence, so that's done.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept very well. The alarm rang at 5:30, but I was lying in bed with Thatch st my side, and we lazed for thirty minutes, petting and cuddling with him and dozing. Then Annabelle jumped onto the bed, followed by a belligerent Stella, and they got into a fight. There was hissing and squealing, they ran off, Thatch followed, and I got up. It was 6:00.
-
I must begin the laundry shortly. I don't want to, but . . .
-
I must spend some time this afternoon checking out physical therapists.
-
DR TCB, who's watching the cats?

DR John G, Christmas in Cowtown.

-
Good morning, friends.
-
So good to see DR TCB posting last night.
-
~~~CONTINUED RECOVERY VIBES~~~ for DR TCB!!!!!!
-
~~~MEDICAL APPOINTMENT VIBES~~~ today for DR John G.!!!!!!!!
May you be a dizzy dame no longer.
-
~~~GETTING RID OF STUFF AND RAISING MONEY VIBES~~~ for DR Jrand71!!!!!
-
~~~LONG-HAUL RADIATION VIBES~~~ for DR elmore3003!!!!!!
-
To return to yesterday's TOD for a moment: The highlight for me in almost any year has been the posts of DR Jrand71. I envy his ability to find the humor and absurdity in the trivialities of human existence.
-
Absolutely, DR elmore3003. DR Jrand71's posts often make me smile and/or chuckle out loud. We could all certainly use a lot more of that.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Add me to the JRand chorus.
-
George:
The big concert next month is Pink Martini! :D
They’re also due here next month. But I wonder if it will happen because the symphony is still on strike.
-
Thanks, Elmore, for the Cowtown link.
-
The Doc Watkins version of the song on YouTube was very different from last night’s. From simple, lilting jazz trio to big band. Both were nice.
-
Everything is in the washers, and as soon as I walked back into the apartment, I took a painkiller. I will be moving cautiously and rather slowly today.
-
I don’t want to get up just yet.
-
Good morning, all.
-
FRIDAY.
Which can only mean one thing: Back to the show tonight.
But only for two more performances. And that's fine. It's only been a standard 4-week run, but it's time to move on.
-
I've had The Streets of New York on repeat play in the car these past several days, and it's growing on me like crazy.
-
HOUSE OF BK II: THE HANDS OF BK
This could be a thing if someone would artfully edit together the clips of BK's playing for the transcribers.
-
I, too, will jump aboard the DR Jrand71 bandwagon. Some excellent posts have paraded before these eyes.
-
Well you can imagine my embarrassment at such praise from the denizens here at HHW.
Thank you all. Although it's true I am going to Hollywood next week to make a picture, my heart will be here at HHW. And one can't be away from one's heart too long......
-
It was great to hear from DR SHERIDAN WHITESIDE last night....I mean DR TCB.
-
Thanks to all for the vibes for today. I shall soon be on my way to the Big House. I hate to take the Appraisal but I will. I am concerned that Cousin Itt will use it as a shopping list.... We shall see.
-
MR BK I gave my 5 year old niece a copy of the "ANNETTE THE GIRL NEXT DOOR" cd box set.
She loves all of the songs, but especially the Sherman Bros. ditties. She learned them after a couple of plays and is singing them everyday. Her favorite is DanceAnnette!
-
DR Jrand71, I have perused the two houses. Very nice. They look cared for and very presentable, ready to sell.
-
Finishing a book with the great title of I Love You but I’ve Chosen Darkness. Naturally it ends at Christmas.
-
Everything is in the dryers, so I need to move two sleeping babies to make the bed. If I have time left, I will clean the litter and take it to the basement when I go down for the laundry.
-
My legs are killing me.
-
I just received the piano/celeste book for How to Succeed. They're using the reduced orchestration for ten players. It's a departure for this college because they always use full orchestrations and hire accordingly. This is for Covid.
DR Elmore: Do you know when the reduced score was created? These books are still handwritten, and only the original version of the show is available, not the revivals. MTI doesn't show a piano/celeste book for the standard orchestration. Is that correct, or an omission?
Questions, questions. If you don't mind, I'll scan and email a couple of pages so you can see how familiar this book looks to you.
-
It's NOT a synth book, which is nice. Can it be tour orchestrations from way back?
-
A question for the universe:
Could someone PLEASE make a macadamia cookie that doesn't include the obligatory "white chocolate"?
-
:)

Could someone PLEASE make a macadamia cookie that doesn't include the obligatory "white chocolate"?
Perhaps....
Macadamia CRANBERRIES ?? 8)
-
Thanks DR CHAS SMITH. Those photos were from sometime ago, the little house is not so nice and the Big House is full of furniture....but hopefully they will sell quickly.
Now.....
-
Remember in the movie The Greatest Show On Earth when the train with the circus performers was barreling down the track and ran into the stopped animal train and chaos ensued?
Well that is me today.....my aunt called to say that her refrigerator was leaking and she had to stay home and wait for the repair man today.
Since she is first in line to get her "memory" and check out the inventory.....so we are STOPPED until her fridge is repaired.....who knows how long it will take?

We turned in the new edition three years agfo - maybe four - and MTI has done nothing with it. As to your inquiry, I rememebr absolutely nothing about my work on the score. I didn't even know there was a 10-piece reduction!
-
:)
She looks like Stella! And acts like her as well.
-
The kitchen is cleaned, the cats' dishes are washed, the litter changed, and all I have left to do us put away the laundry.
Later . . .

Can I ask you, please, to sign this petition?

Back from a little dance practice. Had a shower. Ready to face the world.
-
I want to correct a post from the other day. I haven't read Elena Ferrante's The Lost Daughter. I've read her novel. The Story of the Lost Child. I thought they were the same book with a different translation of the title.
So, now I have to read The Lost Daughter.
-
Lost? I am.

Hello, 0 guests!
-
Just finished getting Mom's investments with the proceeds from the sale of the house taken care of.
-
The woman who was with her in Louisville seemed to be trapped in a farce. Every time she would ask a question that needed an answer recorded, the Internet went out.
-
Seriously, it went out more than 20 times during our conversation.
-
But she swears that Mom e-signed the documents, which means we're good to go.
-
And now I'm going to get ready for the doctor.
-
And maybe a run to See's Candies.
-
It may be too warm for that. I'll go on Sunday or Monday.
-
Let's move on ...
-
My longtime friend, actress Bridget Hanley, has died. :-(
-
I'm up, I'm up - about six hours of sleep due to ABS (Active Brain Syndrome).
-
I heard about Bridget two days ago. She's been struggling for many years now.

I just heard last night.
I knew her for almost 60 years. We went to college together.

DR Jrand71, I have perused the two houses. Very nice. They look cared for and very presentable, ready to sell.
I want to see them once we finally make it home. Internet service is very spotty on our mountain drive

You have a See's store there?

Amazing, that they've just sat on it.
Which sounds ungracious.
If it were only because of Covid...
But everybody and his brother can, and does, use that as an excuse. And it does seems like a long time ago because I vaguely remember you showing me a piece of that on a visit way back when. :)
-
I shall now be on my way to lunch with Richard Sherman, then to the Apple Store.
-
My longtime friend, actress Bridget Hanley, has died. :-(
My sympathies.
-
I had positive news about the recording project this morning, and after a telephone chat with Jack Viertel, we added a fourth show to the proposal.

I lost an MTI job today because Covid has canceled so many shows there's not enough revenue coming in to make the work financially necessary at hte moment.

Friday evening greetings! We’ve had a quiet day here. I did a little more decking of the hall and Richard folded some laundry. Then we both took naps.

Once we finish the budgets, we'll make a proposal for the four showsd, three to be recorded in Dublin, hopefully, and one in Manhattan. I cannot state the titles until we know the project is on or off. If on, we still need to get the rights for two of the shows. The other two are Public Domain.

You'll be very happy about one of them!
-
Thanks DR JANE.
-
It would be nice if I don't have to do anything tomorrow but my sister seemed mad that I asked her not to text me unless it was important......
-
Lots of stuff done this week so at least we're moving forward.
And unlike DR JOHN G our internet is not acting up.....yet.
-
Sad news about Bridget Hanley - I only know her from HERE COME THE BRIDES.....
-
I really don't know if these rape allegations about Chris Not are true, but a violinist I worked with in the 1990s told me that she often saw him in the coffee shop of the first floor of her apartment building, and he was very abusive to his girlfriend.
-
I have no excuse for being tardy the past few days.
I have busied myself with various, sundry and stupid things and tended to virtually nothing that needed doing. Oh, I managed to make my doctor's appointment Wednesday in Augusta GA, and I managed to go to the VA in Aiken SC on Tuesday for blood work.
However, I never got to Sam's Club or CostCo. Don't ask me why, but I just couldn't work up any enthusiasm for it.
All I want for Christmas is some enthusiasm.
-
For DR slapjaw:
-
OOH! OOH!
I started a new page.
FOUR
-
I have managed to put a wreath on the front of the house (between the living room and dining room windows).
That's it. That's all I've got. Just not into it at all this year.
-
Helllo to the one guest possibly viewiing this blog.
-
My doctor kept me waiting for two hours, then had nothing much to say.
-
I’m going to contact my acupuncturist.
-
And it seems I’m going back on Allegra-D.
-
Waiting to usher for quite a few hours tonight.
-
Sorry, DR John G.

DR TCB, who's watching the cats?
My dear friend Sharry’s husband, Micheal, is daily making the trek (after a ten hour work day) drives from west of Tacoma in Gig Harbor straight past his home in Lakewood to an equal distance east of Tacoma to my condo to take care of his niece and nephew!!
If I could convince Micheal to convert to Catholicism, I am sure I could guarantee him sainthood.
-
Wow - how fortunate for you, DR TCB, to have such good friends.
-
That’s wonderful, Tom.
-
DR JohnG: I saw my cardiologist Wednesday. I guess everything went well. He asked me a lot of questions about whether I ever had difficulty breathing. I told him yes, that I was suffering nasal congestion something awful ever since September which, I suppose, is when I was exposed to a cousin with Covid. I was vaccinated, but I quarantined myself. I have had my booster, too.
I use a CPAP to sleep, and I use a bi-valve (which is not full-face, but fits over my nose). When I am congested, I cannot breathe. And the CPAP is a bust when that happens. I do spend a great deal of time trying to decongest and often sleep a couple of hours sitting up in a chair. I always end up in bed with the CPAP and I get sleep, but it's annoying and stressful. I told him I wanted to see an ENT and had told my regular doctor this. He nodded, and then said we will just leave things as they are until we meet again in April.
So much for that.
-
I am glad to see DR TCB is recovering from his surgery.
-
May I ask BK a question?
When you get your new iPhone, do you buy it outright or do you pay a monthly fee?
-
High today of 81, tomorrow 71, Sunday 51. Then back to 80 on Christmas day. If the forecast holds.
-
I have managed to put a wreath on the front of the house (between the living room and dining room windows).
That's it. That's all I've got. Just not into it at all this year.
It is far more than I have done.

Cool! I would think that since they're their own band, it'll happen...unless they won't proverbially cross the picket line.

-
Ron, I’ve had a bipap for 20 years. Supposedly I’m switching to something called an airpap. We’ll see.
-
We had a fight in the theater tonight. Saw the police escort someone out with his hands tied over his head.
-
Always something new here.
-
Onward!
-
Five!

That's scary.
-
We have a nice view of the Umpqua River river from our hotel room.
-
After dinner Keith drove through downtown Roseburg so I could see the winter lights. It was lovely.
-
Ron, I just added it to the phone bill - about ten bucks more a month - I may just pay it of off, though, because I think they made a small mistake in the buyback of my iPhone - they gave me $800 in credit.
-
Had an amazingly wonderful lunch with Richard Sherman and his daughter Vicki. Barone's was the jernt. We were there almost two hours. Almost two years without seeing this man was really dopey and Vicki took the bull by the horns because Richard had wanted it to happen. I brought him the last two books because he hadn't gotten those and then the Tonight's the Night Blu-ray because he hadn't seen that. We're going to make sure we do this regularly now and that makes me very happy.
-
Here we are - happy friends - thinking about writing another song together.

Another day in rehab paradise!

My only memory of Rosenberg is when we drove thru the downtown the year after the TNT truck blew up the downtown.

Richard looks great. Who is the old guy with him?
-
Look at me. Calling the Richard Sherman by his first name!
-
I should let him know he can call me TC.
(Because I think BK will be calling me Mudd.)

Lonely being here by myself.
-
Now I know how George felt.
-
Wonderful picture, BK. Glad your lunch went well.
-
I survived the second show, which didn't get over until midnight.
-
Monday is the last show of the year that I usher for. It's a children's choir and I don't think it will last until midnight. But you never know.
-
Good night, all.
