DR elmore3003, glad the cart is back in service. And thanks be for good neighbors.
I suppose that "soup" would need to be completely re-strained (if it ever was in the first place) to approach edible-ness.
Last night we enjoyed Brian Stokes Mitchell hosting a 2-hour retrospective of Christmas with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. I thought it was a well-done program. Many clips from over the many years.
That sounds delicious, DR elmore3003. I'll be right over.
Elmore, I probably would have just strained that and kept it as chicken broth.
Congrats to Kritzerland on being in the credits of a soon to be Oscar nominated film!
It was nice to see vixmom again late last night.
Thank you for the birthday wishes! We miss you!
Jane, Jeanne mentioned the restaurant - Louise's Trattoria in West LA, not so far from your house.
I could tell when the roof failed the hose test that he was sorry they took this job. They will lose money on us for sure.
Yes DR JANE. The appraisal place is also an auction place....so the remaining items will be sold at an online auction.....and then a junk man will take the rest.....
And then it is our turn. I only want a couple of things and I am buying something that my baby sister wants......so I am taking my checkbook.
Lunch from the garden.
I forgot to mention, too, that last night Jen brought me a ton of her delicious hot and spicy sausage and bean soup. She and Ann brought two vessels, one for now and one for the freezer.
DR JohnG, "Christmas Revels" is the Sixth Scene of Sir Arthiur Sullivan's 1897 ballet, "Victoria and Merroe England."

Around 6:30 last night Ann and Jen came down and reassembled my demolished teacart. I am blessed to have them in the building.
Thousands of state workers, including me and my department, have been locked out of our computers due to a statewide server outage.
Congrats to Kritzerland on being in the credits of a soon to be Oscar nominated film!
DR Ginny you may not have been thrilled with the paramedics that "helped" Richard. At least they entered your home, unlike these guys who insisted the patient be pushed out of the care facility to them.

We don't know if it will be fixed today.
Or even tomorrow.

Oh, my goodness! That's horrible!
So I've been busy elsewhere. In the kitchen.

Tuesday evening greetings! Busy day here, starting at 8:30am with the guy who reconfigured some basement piping to stop the sump pump from spewing water into our new landscaping and making a mess on the patio.
Oh, my!
DR Jane - my last session was the week after Thanksgiving. I feel it made an extraordinary improvement in my speaking voice.
My singing voice marginally improved, but is nowhere near back to 100%.
Been a crazy day, and my lightheadedness/dizziness hasn't helped.
In addition to work, I had to find someone who could take Mom to her doctor's appointment tomorrow. And I had to get her to understand that it was all arranged, her friends were not going to do it, and she really didn't have a say in the matter.

That is not good. Are you taking anything for it? Vibes it goes away.

Excellent. Do they have people at the retirement home who do this?
And an ear just popped.

No. If they did, it goes from assisted living to nursing home. She would have to move.
HA! Nine and half hours later.....
A few more folks Wednesday and Thursday....then we should be done.
Exhausting.....of course they still have to come and pick up stuff hopefully before Friday.
There are some people I NEVER want to see or hear from again in my life.....mostly my aunt & niece who both pieces of work who need just stop being asses.....but that is not in their nature.
Oh former DR MIKE BARNUM asked me to tell everyone here at HHW a big HELLO! We had an email exchange about John Saxon....as you do.

Well, it is Christmas and a donkey has a role in the story. Maybe they're just getting into the spirit.
Except Die Hard sounds like a much better movie ;D
Ended up trying to help a Facebook friend - he published via Amazon's CreateSpace or Kindle direct or whatever they call it. He sent me a copy after he spent days trying to fix the crazy way it came out. He did, he thought, but not really, because he simply doesn't understand Word or how to do this. The book has a nice cover and the interior is completely inept. Times New Roman for the font, double spaces between all paragraphs, no indentations, new chapters starting in the middle of a page right after the end of the previous chapter. I told him to call me. Trying to tell him how to fix and hear him struggling with trying to understand things, I told him to send me his Word doc.
He did, and so I spent an hour redoing the front matter and the first two chapters - using a proper book font (Garamond), fixing the spacing issues, putting a proper page break at the end of those two chapters (he hadn't done that, which is why it comes out screwy), found a nice font for his chapter headings and subtitles and did that and sent it back to him - oh, and added all the indents for starts of paragraphs - that's really the only time consuming thing - you have to do that before any of the other stuff or you don't know where the paragraph breaks are. I sent it to him and he, of course, loves that it now looks like a book. Now, I can either try and talk him through how to set up everything so it will do all this stuff, or I can just try to do it for him. We'll see. I don't really want to do it, but I feel bad for him. But if I at least get everything in Garamond and the other font and do the page breaks at ends of chapters, then if he just inputs what I tell him into the "paragraph" tab in Word, then the rest is easy.
Starting to watch Female Trouble with Divine. When she doesn't get the cha-cha heels she wants for Christmas, Divine's character throws the tree down on her parents and runs off to lead a life of crime. If Die Hard can qualify as a Christmas movie, then so can this.
Except Die Hard sounds like a much better movie ;D
To you. :)
