I love Female Trouble! Who wants to die for their art?
Good morning, friends.
I think I should like to buy frivolously.
Still locked out of state computer systems. No ETA on when the problem might be fixed.
Getting more in the holiday spirit yet, DR Ron Pulliam?
Or not.
It's a Christmasmiraclemystery,
I think I should like to buy frivolously.
It's invigorating until you get to the checkout.
I shall have to try that lemon squeeze on a steak sometime.
I so rarely have a real steak these days that it may be a while before that happens. But I shall remember.
N.Y. Strip, right? Got it.
Sally Ann Howes has died. Loved her Desiree.
Mom is headed back to the ER. She may have had a stroke.

Okay, it's announcement time!
I would ask for prayers for Rosemary's Baby, but that might be a bit too much, all things considered.
Hang onto yer asses, here goes nothing...

Okay, it's announcement time!I hate this show, but I wis you well with it. Take comfort that it will never be as rotten as the original Broadway production. Nothing could be.

No DR JANE - the two exclusions have not been issued an invitation to the private sale.....
My two nieces are coming today - the last of the relatives. And then we start on the three friends.....one today and two tomorrow.
I will just say this and not mention any names or anything.
It is very difficult to work with someone who is never wrong. This is particularly true when you are never right.
Yes, I am still in Johnston SC, the "peach capital of the world" as our water tower proudly proclaims.
This town is basically very friendly, with many people knowing just about all the other people herein.
Even I get included in greetings from strangers who knew my mom, know where I live, know my comings and goings...and yet I know not one thing about them. Nor, may I say it, do I care.
Yesterday morning, it occurred to me that I had some bills to pay that were comng due sooner, rather than later. One was a property tax bill, and another was the insurance premium on the house on said property. The latter was due Dec. 24th. I had conveniently buried the invoice under a pile of annuity checks I must take to the bank (a pile is merely three, but still in a pile).
I wrote a check for property tax (due Jan. 13) and mailed it during my post office visit.
Happily, State Farm, who insures my house, my car and my truck, is only six miles away. I departed my house and began the drive, only to remember reading that an organization had placed wreaths on all veterans graves. Since it was on the way, I entered the cemetery and there, indeed, was a beautiful green wreath on my father's marker. My parents are buried side-by-side, and there is an urn in middle of the marker. I had placed a wreath over the urn two weeks ago, so there is a lot of greenery and red flowers to be seen there.

Mom is alert and talking again. The nurse said they’ll likely keep her overnight.
Wednesday afternoon greetings! We went to Dayton this morning for Richard’s 5th burn clinic appointment and they are pleased with his progress. We need to keep treating his foot with collagen and honey (medicinal-grade) patches, but we don’t have to return to the clinic until January 5.

congrats to DR CHAS SMITH on being in league with Satan.
I think our roof is fixed. We'll know after the rain the next couple of days.

Only two more folks tomorrow......10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
So we will hopefully have Friday off.....until some boob calls me and decides he wants to pick up his stuff......NOW.
The computers came back on at about 2:30 this afternoon. So the Department of Human Services (as well as others), that employs over 10,000 people, was out of commission from 10:30am yesterday until 2:30 today.
We are getting paid.
But I think there are more than a few IT folks who worked all night last night.
I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep - didn't arise until a little after one, and of course had tons of e-mails to read and respond, including several from the author of the book I'm helping. Then I had to finish doing the formatting on his book, tweaked it several times and just sent him a PDF to peruse. That final bit, and it took a bit of time, was making the right side flush right. Books don't have ragged text on the right - it took me some experimenting, but once I found it, it was quite easy. This fellow is VERY grateful.
I enjoyed reading about DR RON PULLIAM's day.
Dear reader Ron - I don't remember a lot of the Adam-12 episodes, but I'm thinking about going back to Season One and watching the first five seasons again - I'm starting the final season this evening, although I got an online streaming screener for Nightmare Alley so may watch that.
Can ham chunks and the hora be far behind?
If this were an Internet outage in my building, I'd either go unpaid or have to take vacation time. But since it's on the state's end, I think this is paid time.
