William E. Moore was one of the best men I have ever known. He had a good work ethic and a true sense of responsibility to family and friends. The older I get, the more I seem to be like him, but I will never approach the level of standards I believe he possessed.

I still miss him enormously.

That's just me, of course, because from my perspective, his death was always a thing in the past, whatever "past" is at any given time. But five years is nothing. I'm almost afraid to, but I'm very interested in watching THE SOCIAL DILEMMA. This will happen sometime soon. I need to find a good time for it.

In my case, Facebook would be the one hot spot. My other online activities don't amount to the proverbial hill of beans in comparison with the evil giant. I'm happy to say I never branched out to Twitter or any of those other things. But I can use the kick in the ASS that this documentary will provide.

I have a 10:30 a.m. telephonic doctor's check-in, followed at 2 p.m. by a visit from pest control, a quarterly occurrence.

In between will be some tidying and vacuuming.

Tomorrow is a "me day". Will probably visit my CPA with my tax documents for the annual assessment of what it costs to be an American citizen beyond what they have already taken.

Now and then I see him. I think I posted a picture of him here a year or so ago.....very unusual markings. Regular gray short hair from his hips forward and tiger markings from his hips to the tip of his tail.....and a few tiger markings on his face.....

I use Facebook to keep up with friends and family - and as I have written, when I direct a show I create a Private Group for the cast/staff/crew so I can post notes, choreography easy sheets, photos from rehearsal, etc.....and they can ask me questions. It is also very useful if there is a change in the rehearsal schedule or I want to add something to the evening's activities.

Much easier than group emails.

Of course there is always that ONE person who is not on Facebook....

On my father's side of the family, ALL of my cousins, save two, are older than me. A couple are pushing 90-something. My mother was a bit disconcerted when she first met and married my father that many of his nieces were her age or older.

While they all seem to be in relatively good health (my father's side of the family is long-lived), I expect a call almost any day about one of them having passed.

It's always a blow when a family member passes. My condolences.

I will be glad when pest control arrives. The service works very well. The only time I ever see a bug is when it's a dead bug.

That's what I've been averaging lately. I read an article a month or so back that said folks our age don't require more than 7 hours or so. I used to enjoy sleeping for 9 or 10 hours. Now I don't seem to be able to. I wake up and my brain takes over thinking about things I need to do. Nothing restful about that.

Several shows that I've been in also have created private FB pages. For Mama Mia!, the music director made videos for us to learn the music. This was at the beginning of 2020, when it was thought that quarantining would only last a few weeks. :-\

At 11:45, one of the technicians told me they were running ahead and did I want to do it now. I told her I had to wait till my bladder was full of water, and I asked to wait until 12:15

Only, they coul;dn'ty find the goddamned doctor.

Post by: elmore3003 on February 15, 2022, 12:28:29 PM: I final;ly got to radiation around 1:10 or so, finished my treatment at 1:25, ands scrambled to get dressed. I got to the lobby at 1:35 and called Access-a-Ride. My driver waited for me from 1:17 to 1:34 andf then canceled the ride. I called AAR, and they told me they would find a car for me, and the new driver picked me up at 2:15.

I now own a 2015 Mercedes Benz motor car C 250 - slate gray, beautiful, in perfect condition. I've always dreamed of having a Mercedes and the stars aligned and thanks to the major miracles it happened. Lots o' photos in the notes, but I'll see if I can re-size and post one right now.

The tax papers are delivered. My pest control quarterly visit is done, and I had a nice 30-minute chat with the technician who knows everyone including folks I know. So I got caught up on a bunch of local news.

I have one more appointment this week....the ENT visit at 8 a.m. on Thursday. They told me it would take three hours.

Ho-hum.
