Well, you've read the notes, the notes had May in February, and now it is time for you to post until the May in February cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: INVINCIBLE!
-
And a very happy birthday to occasional dear reader Matthew.
-
Happy Birthday to DR Matthew!! :D
-
Topic of the Day: I never listened to instrumental albums growing up, nor did I listen to classical music. I didn't develop an appreciation for either until I was older.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Today is a holiday, so a perfect day to sleep in.
-
And naturally, I awoke at 3am.
-
I have a 7am blood draw, so I'm staying up.
-
Maybe a delicious nap will be in order later.
-
A very happy HHW birthday greeting to DR Matthew!!
-
Good morning, all!

I slept rather well. I had one long dream in which I was back at Miami University for an afternoon orchestra rehearsal. Looking for the rehearsal location, I ended up in a classroom where a girl I knew slightly from the theatre dept. attacked me for being snobby and rude to the theatre students in "my" circle of friends. Then she kept showing me photos of productions and I kept saying, these shows happened after I left Oxford. She showed me a library book with more photos of productions, none of which I was in since they were after 1971. The instructor for the class arrived and I left the classroom thinking, what was her name?
I still had the library book so I decided to go to the King Library and drop off the book. At some point, I removed my shoes, but when I tried to put them back on, I couodn't find them, so I went to the library's lost and found and found them. I also realized the book I had was not a Miami University library book, but a Middletown Public Library book.
I decided to visit some of my old friends from my days working as a library assistant. I found a couple who were polite but to busy rto visit.

DR JohnG, is this the Little Dorrit from around 2010 wth Judy Parfitt? I really loved the series, but the actor who broke my heart in it was Russell Tovey and his unrequited love for her. I should watch it again.
-
I continue to take it easy, but I do have soem things to accomplish, mostly to do with my tax preparation. I see my accountant next Monday.
-
I must not forget to book my last two Access-a-Rides to radiation today.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Happy birthday, DR Matthew!

Yes, it is. And Tovey is as wonderful as Parfitt is cruel.
-
Good morning.
-
Happy Birthday, Matthew!
-
Good Morning. Hello, all 14 guests.
-
The first thing each morning, I couldn't agree with this one more:
-
Hapy Birthday wishes for Matthew
-
Happy President's Day, All Y'all!
-
Well, the labs were kind of a bust. If I had a punch card for all my pokes, I'd have won a prize!
First they tried getting blood from my arm. No go.
They are trying to save all the butterfly needles, because they're in very short supply - but they saw no alternative, so I got one from their special stash. And that worked, to a point, but it didn't fill up the vial enough.
So then they had to lance a fingertip and squeeze it for several minutes to top off the vial.
And now I'm home. Bruised, but victorious!
-
I think I'll make pancakes.

Good morning, all.

I had a couple of weirdly interesting dreams that are now all but forgotten. But I also had an up and down night of sleep, so I’m hoping to get a good nap in at some point. I’ve got a long and late evening ahead of me.
-
Happy Birthday, DR Matthew!
-
I don’ think I’ve known any of the Billy May instrumental albums, but I certainly want to.

She is probably the sweetest creature on the planet, but she does mean like nobody else.

The Pink Fuzzy Nightgown soundtrack from Kritzerland features some fine Billy May.

Singdaw: Drink LOTS of water and no coffee/soda/tea, etc. Caffeine dehydrates you. The water plumps up your vein and makes it easier for them to find it.

Happy Birthday DR MATTHEW!
-
I enjoyed The TCB Show last night starring TCB as TCB.
Most entertaining.
-
TOD:
I liked The Ventures LP: Hawaii Five-O
And a weird LP called The Wichita Train Whistle Sings....and it was just bizarre - but this track grew on me....

Thanks for the pro tips, DR Laura. Now I'll know for next time!
-
This was my fortune:
-
I am not working at work today, but I have lots to accomplish. And a significant storm is bearing down on us through tomorrow night.
-
I think several folks were discussing Alan Tudyk here the other day.
I just discovered that he is the voice of the parrot in Encanto.
But we don't talk about Bruno. No, no, no.
-
I caught up on my soaps and had a lot of emails to deal with.
-
Returning to work is not pretty.
-
I went through hundreds of messages and maybe 200 emails. still have 100 emails to go. And work to do.
-
I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep.
-
The gal who was the copyist for LA Now and Then has everything, all the files, and they're perfect so we're getting copies of all of it.
-
That's great news, bk!
-
And, I'm sure, a relief.
-
From DR TCB:
I pity the suckers that read page 5 tomorrow.
;D
You were very entertaining :)

Do they normally need to use a butterfly needle on you?
-
Good news from MR BK about the materials.

Only three more DR ELMORE!!!

Hundreds of emails for DR JOHN G - and I have NOT received the one I need.
I suppose that means I will have to make a phone call tomorrow. I will give them one work day to response.....so they have an hour or so.....

Singdaw: Drink LOTS of water and no coffee/soda/tea, etc. Caffeine dehydrates you. The water plumps up your vein and makes it easier for them to find it.
I always drink water if I know blood will be drawn.

Only three more DR ELMORE!!!
Nope! Two more!!!
-
Sometimes, DR Jane. It depends. But it's always a struggle in one way or another.
-
This was my fortune:
That's because it's MINE, all mine!!
-
I am shocked, amazed and pleased as punch.
My CPA texted to tell me my taxes are done! Oh, Joy! Oh, Rapture!
Never in my entire taxpaying life have my taxes been done before the end of February!!

It is a dreary day here today.
Everything looks dismally gray and forlorn...as if all the happiness had been drained from the world.
It's definitely a virtual rainy day and Monday. The rain may happen later this evening (30% chance).

Sweet sigh of relief.

It’s 85 outside. The air is still toxic with allergens, but …

Sometimes, DR Jane. It depends. But it's always a struggle in one way or another.
I feel bad for you. It used to be like that for me and I only trusted two people to draw my blood, my father & the woman in his office. Everyone else needed multiple attempts before success.
-
We had early morning errands today, including arriving at Costco before they opened. It was strange going when parking was easy and the line to get in went very quickly.
-

85, lovely. I was pleased to skip the gym today not wanting to wear shorts for our errands.

I wish there were more photos of the interior....but that's life.

Hello, everyone.
-
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to DR MATTHEW!
I hope you're having a lovely day.
-
Like others, I looked forward to a Me Day yesterday, but...WHERE does all this stuff come from? I spent time taking care of things that should not have required my attention. Ugh! I did manage a few hours of R&R in the evening.
-

I sympathize. Blood draws are never pleasant, and some can be rather awful. But you made it through!

$325,000! That takes me back in time. It looks comfortable and well cared for, too.
Vibes for an easy sale.

TOD:
I used to listen to Ferrante and Teicher in high school, but don't recall any others.
-
I watched the season finale of AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS last night. It's not one of my favorite shows, but I liked the ending, which had a very nice little touch to it.
-
Easy, easy radiation vibes for the next two days to DR Elmore.

TTFN.

It is a nice little house. I would expect it to sell quickly. Is that a fireplace in the basement?

Very nice house, Jrand.
-
four!!!!
-
Today, I went to my sister's again for a bit. We added some support to the underside of the kitchen island that's in her garage so that it can support the weight of her daughter's chicken feed and supplies.
-
Then we put up a temporary vinyl fence so that the chickens can be in a different part of the yard when (hopefully) the chicken shelter and coop are moved (by other people!) to a different part of the yard.
-
Then, I called my optometrist about my glasses, but I had to leave a message. Then, I called the car dealership about a more accurate ETA on the delivery of my car. I spoke to someone, but she took my info and will have to talk with someone else who'll (hopefully) call me back...and hopefully with a sooner ETA.

Currently, I'm at the local Happy Teriyaki and have just enjoyed my regular Love Salad. It was quite delish...as usual. :)

And now, I'm off to Costco to see what they say about my glasses hinge...just to see if they think it's possible.

I just finished my first and last Nero Wolfe novel.
-
'night
-
I'm not full of news or jokes today.
-
Good night, friends.
-
I watched the season finale of AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS last night. It's not one of my favorite shows, but I liked the ending, which had a very nice little touch to it.
Was that the series finale? I lost interest
-
I just finished my first and last Nero Wolfe novel.
They were not my favorite. I think I read two or three. But I loved the William Cannon TV series.
-
Made it to episode 9 of Little Dorrit. Really enjoying it.
-
But I'm beginning to fade.
-
Gratuitous post No. 110!
-
We're getting close to page five.
-
I hope that Tom doesn't hold it against us if we don't quite make it.
-
But I'm fading.
-
Good night, all.
-
And now, I'm off to Costco to see what they say about my glasses hinge...just to see if they think it's possible.
Well, Costco couldn't fix the hinge. :P
-
The piece is melted into the plastic frame (or the frame is melted around the hinge), so I think the only thing now is to find out if it's under warranty, and if it is, I'll either have to get new frames, or some kind of refund.
-
Or, it might not be under warranty anymore, and I'll just wear my older glasses (they're the frames that I'm wearing in my avatar).
<<------------ Here
-
That would be okay because the lenses are actually the same prescription as the lenses in my new frames. It essentially didn't change.
-
And now, since we're so close...
-

-
Thanks, John. You almost got us to page five.
-
Jrand and Jane, I am glad you enjoyed last night’s nervous breakdown.
-
I wanted to put it on film as an ABC News Special report.
-
David Muir wouldn’t emcee the broadcast, so I did the show strictly on HHW.
-
I was pretty tired after I finished last night.
-
And yet I never could fall asleep all night.
-
Finally, at about 4:30, I got up and decided to face the dawn.
-
It was not one of dawn’s better faces.
-
Finally, at about 4:30, I got up and decided to face the dawn.
That's about the time I went to sleep. ::)
;)
-
What?
-
WHAT?
-
I mean, WHAT?
-
I guess no one is here to answer the question of WHAT?
-
Why?
-
I guess no one is here to answer the question of WHAT?
That!
-
Why?
As always...because.
-
:D
