Well, you've read the notes, the notes were limited and written in March, and now it is time for you to post until the limited March cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: ACCELERANDO!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept well, but I have pulled something in my lower left back that is both painful and irritating.
-
Yesterday began well, with me all set to settle down and begin my final tax prep. Then, all hell broke loose. I decided to first pay my utility bill with my debit card. Inly, I could not find my wallet/checkbook, which I last saw on Sunday when I printed out a credit card statement.
-
I was certain I put everything on my worktable, so I went through everything twice, and nothing was there. Then I checked through my bag of tax work. Twice. Then I startewd to panic; the checknook contained my last $7.00 in bills from Access-a-Ride and I qould need them for the trip to and from my accountant. It also contained all my major cards, as well as my checks, and I began to panic.
-
I knew that I hadn't thrown it out with the garbage, but I was beginning to work myself into a state. So, I decided to separate all statements I had printed out to keep myself from having a stroke. It would also force me to go through the bag of tax work as I put the statements into their various envelopes of receipts. When I finished that, I fed the cats and opened the Chew cartopm pg cat food that had arrived.
-
I sat down at the computer, thinking, I last saw the checkbook on top of the air purifier. Hmmm . . . so, I moved the purifier and sure enough, the checkbook and bills to be paid were lying on the floor.
Then I finished putting away the cartons of Fancy Feast, my neighbor Ann showed up with a delicious pasta dinner, and cleaned up everythng and went to bed early.
-
March! March! March! Along the highway...
Good morrow, gentle folk....
-
When I awakened 10 minutes ago, I discovered that I am both better and not better when it comes to the back issues.
I can still stand upright and walk well, but the pain in getting out of bed was a bit scary.
Ah, well! The chiropractor told me it might be a couple of weeks before I was completely in the clear.
-
It's coffee time.
-
So this morning I will do laundry and work on my taxes. The laundry was a major part of yesterday's tsuris since I spent too much time going through the hamper in search of a checkbook. That led to a bathroom cleanup and ysing the Dustbuster to clean up a lot of litter. Then the Dustbuster fell apart in the kitchen and I had to put it back together and vacuum up all the litter on the kitchen floor. I hate my life.
-
Given the continued pain level, very little will be accomplished today other than sitting very still and relaxing, if both can be simultaneously accomplished.
-
Today will be a profitable and easy day.
I hope.
-
It is currently 34 degrees. We expect a high of 57 degrees and partly sunny skies.
Right now, it's gray outside.

Good morning, all.
-
Didn’t like the Wordle word today.
-
Need more sleep.

The laundry is in the washers. Stella escaped while I was trying to drag in an Amazon carton someone had set in the hall in the middle of my doorway. I had to bring that in before I could wrestle the walker and laundry into the hall. I then had to chase her down. Luckily, she entered the apartment as soon as I opened the door.
-
She's a loose woman, that Stella!
-

Got my tax return today.
-
One of my previous local bookstores (back in Connecticut) has a weekly email blast called "Shelf Awareness." :)
-
From Ron:
He told me, but I don't remember. I think it was something that delivers blasts of air.
I know what that is. It sounds like it worked better for you than it did for me.
-
Thanks John. I looked at photos and got a better feel for where the restaurant is.
-

Ah, well! The chiropractor told me it might be a couple of weeks before I was completely in the clear.
Sorry, vibes it doesn't take that long to improve.
-
I didn't fall asleep until after 4:00 last night. Instead I read a book, The War That Saved My Life. DR Jeanne was it you who recommended this? If so, thank you.

I wish once asleep I could do what Bruce does and sleep eight hours. Alas I woke up at 7:30, which is late for me.

Vibes for DR RON PULLIAM.

The OBC album of Flying Over Sunset is now available for streaming.
-
So far, I'm finding much of it quite beautiful. Kind of chamber opera.
-
Last night, before the Met's performance of Verdi's Don Carlo, the Met choris sang the Ukrainian national anthem

That made me tear up.
-
Had some red beans and rice from Popeyes. Nobody seems willing to deliver pancakes.
-
When I got my first hep B vaccine, I was told to come back in a month for shot 2. Today, I was told that I should have been told to return in 30 days. So I have to go back. I will wait until Friday.
-
Didn’t like the Wordle word today.
I can't believe I actually got it!

The tax return is going to cover framing costs.
-
The tax return is going to cover framing costs.
In the past, I used my tax return to pay the first half of my property taxes, but now that my mortgage is paid off, I've got enough for that, so I'm going to add (some/all of) it to my deposit for my new car...whenever the heck it gets here.

Too bad you had to pick a month with only 28 days ;) We did our first shot in August, and then added an extra day in September. We were late getting our third shot.
-
Speaking of being late for a vaccination. DR George when are you getting your second Shingrix?

That's great. Did anyone ever call you back about that?

Good afternoon!

Nice.

Didn’t like the Wordle word today.
It wasn't a word from common vernacular, exactly.
I worried over it for quite a spell. When I finally spelled out the only word I thought it could be, that was what it was. it didn't seem quite right, but there it is.
-
Tuesday is our appointment with the tax man for our uncle's estate.
-
I'm up, I'm up - seven hours of sleep and been catching up since getting up.
-
Didn’t like the Wordle word today.

I think it’s because it didn’t originate in our alphabet. Kinda like Kyiv or Kiev.
-

All the best with that.
-
DR John G. how do you rate Popeye's red beans and rice?
I've had it a couple of times and enjoyed it, but it's been a long time since I've had the real thing.
-
:)
-
Speaking of being late for a vaccination. DR George when are you getting your second Shingrix?
I got my blood drawn for tests (all my numbers are right where they need to be!), so now I can schedule an appointment with my doctor. I'll ask her then about the Shingrix shot.

I like it. I don’t want to make it myself and there’s a Popeyes in the neighborhood. So, I get it three or four times a year. Plus, it came with a biscuit. Nice and salty biscuit.
-
It Came With a Biscuit is the title of my next memoir.

Great. I hope it won't be a problem after all this time.

It seems to be typical these days.

I don't know the SUNSET musical. I must investigate.
-
Looks interesting.......
-
It Came With a Biscuit is the title of my next memoir.
Exactly.
-
I don't know the SUNSET musical. I must investigate.
Their ad campaign poster was not inviting for a musical. It showed four people sitting in a booth. Might work for Shaw, but not a musical.
-
Having Thai for dinner.
-
Let’s move on…
-
Four!
-
Hello, 1 guest!
-
Had a turkey sandwich and coleslaw for food. I'm gonna try and leave it at that.
-
Navigation module has arrived, so I'll drive over to the dealer tomorrow and have it installed in the morning - it only takes about ten minutes.
-
Then then can show me how it works.
-
Having Thai for dinner.
Sounds good.
-

At least say if it was good ;)

Clair Boothe Luce. In a booth.
-
Who'd a thunk it?
-
The music is mostly quite rhapsodic.

I never imagined I would ever be happy to read about hackers, or wish them success.
Ukrainian cyber resistance group targets Russian power grid, railways. Not that I think announcing this ahead of time is a great idea.

Thanks...me, too.
-
I shall now be on my way to the mail place and then to rehearsal.

Good for them!! ;D
-

I'll be at my rehearsal in about an hour. :)
-
Good night, friends.
-
We just watched the State of the Union Address.
-
'night
-
Watching Encanto. Really liking it. It is formulaic. The opening number is cut from Beauty and the Beast's cloth. But it works.
-
Tis practically bedtime again. I am happy to see it arrive, because tomorrow I will return to the chiropractor for a follow-up adjustment.
-
I wish I could amuse one and all with some anecdote or other of how my day went. Alas, alack, alarum! There has been literally nothing to report upon. No scandals, no fits of pique, no irate passersby...nothing. It is what happens when you don't leave the house.
-
It always seems odd to me that my bedtime generally coincides with many of you just getting started for the evening.
Of course, some say good night earlier than I do and still live on the West Coast, but my guess is that these folks simply log off the internet by a certain time and spend quality time with loved ones.
I wish each of you a very good night and an event better tomorrow!
-
Good night, Ron.
-
Encanto is finished. I really enjoyed it. Funny thing is, I think I like the title song best. Not Bruno, not the Oscar-nominated love song. Oh, well.
-
Let's get this moving to the next page.
-
There are a couple of extras I want to watch, including an animated short.
-
Maybe not tonight.
-
Five!
-
Good night, all!
-
Les bons temps have rouled enough for one day.
-
I'm home.
-
And I'm fed. :)
-
Tonight's rehearsal went fairly well.
-
I think there are a few less experienced cast members.
-
They don't seem to know to stay in character and call "Line" if they don't know what to say next.
-
The director and the rest of the cast haven't seemed to be upset when someone forgets a line, so it's okay...at this point.
-
Tomorrow is the last night without an audience (Thursday will be an invited dress), so hopefully those moments will be a thing of the past.
-
RIGHT! :o
-
;)
-
For the most part, the goobers have been minimal, except in the last scene.
-
It's never been a clusterf*ck, but it's not as smooth as the rest of the show.
-
I'm sure it'll be fine and audiences will enjoy it.
-
It is a cute show (nothing knee-slapping hysterical), but their subscriber base will like it.
-
Had some red beans and rice from Popeyes. Nobody seems willing to deliver pancakes.
Do you have Black Bear Diners in Texas? They deliver pancakes.
-
They offer everything on the menu for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Except baked potatoes are only available after 4:00 p.m.
-
Stephen Colbert's opening monolog was about tonight's state of the union address.
-
Very funny!
