Well, you've read the notes, the notes were stupid, and now it is time for you to post until the stupid cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: APHRODISIAC!
-
Topic of the Day: not quite the most stupidest thing I've done, but last night I got home after stopping at my sister's for a bit, then I had some dinner, then I sat in my recliner at about 8:00 p.m. and completely zonked out until about 2:30 this a.m.! I didn't just take a little nap...I totally fell asleep! Now, I need to go back to sleep in my bed ::)
-
On the plus side, it obviously was six-and-a-half hours of sleep that I needed...and I'll take the extra sleep that I'm going to get now. ;D
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
Several important emails concerning this recording project were sent yesterday, and I am surprised there's been no response or upheaval yet.
-
I did sleep rather well last night. I had one long dream which I oly now remember in fragments:
1. Tarzan and the jungle.
2. Search for water.
3. A large can of paint.
4. Dead soap opera star.
-
On the health side of my life, I can sense a definite improvement. Where I was having 6-7 bathroom breaks a night I now seem to be down to 3-4, and that makes me very happy. I see my urologist on Monday, and I hope he'll take a PSA.
-
DR TCB, I agree with you about Russia completely. I would love to see Putin and his cronies here in the US and in the rest of the world blown off the face of it.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
My goodness! Last night at HHW we had both beefcake and cheesecake!
-
Thank you, DR TCB!
-
:)
-
Just ten minutes of stupid? I'd need more like ten years.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Just ten minutes of stupid? I'd need more like ten years.
I feel like I have days on end infected with stupid.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Stupid?
How do I list the ways?
Do I start with yesterday and work backwards?
-
:)
Looks like some newfangled neutering procedure.
"No Muss, No Fuss!" "In and Out in Five Minutes!"
"By the time you get him home, he'll be shooting blanks!"
Eureka! I must patent this! I'll be rich!
-
;D
-
And, by the way... F U, Governor DeSantis!
-
Kitty cleanup is over, and I need to make my basement trek. I have no idea what I will find.
-
And, by the way... F U, Governor DeSantis!
Gov. Death sentence is almost as bad as Greg Abbott. Their race to the bottom makes me ill.
-
I need to make my basement trek. I have no idea what I will find.
We'll send out a search party if you don't come back.
-
I hear you, DR John G.
-
Florida has obviously been taken over by moldering Republicans who cannot think straight and, so, support the Trumpus.
-
When I was getting my hair cut yesterday, my barber was all agog about a surprise his wife had revealed to him that morning. On Saturday, she and he will drive to Florence SC to attend a Trump rally. Yes, "the Donald" will be in South Carolina on that day and will spew his hate and bile for a couple of hours starting at 7 p.m. Brian and his wife will be in line at 2 p.m. in order to gain entrance. Made me want to holler. Made me want to shout.
But enough politics from me. :(
-
When my father was with Mobil Oil, we were living in Connecticut at the time. He was told he was being transferred to Texas. My mother said "no." So he had to find another job.
Two years later, all those folks who had accepted the transfer to Texas were laid off.
-
It is now Thursday in South Carolina. I cannot say I am surprised, but it seems like only yesterday was LAST Thursday.
-
Do those folks pay tribute to the Trumpus in their rumpus rooms, DR Ron Pulliam?
-
Sounds like the great beginnings of a new children's book.
-
TWO!!
-
Just for fun...
-
Do those folks pay tribute to the Trumpus in their rumpus rooms, DR Ron Pulliam?
Given what I've seen of Trumpus fans, they pay tribute in their "frumpus" rooms.
-
Man! It's getting very difficult to pin DRsingdaw down. He's like the Flash...here one second and gone the next.
-
DR singdaw your mother was prescient.
-
I am glad DR RON PULLIAM discovered that it was Thursday.....I haven't really known what day it is since December.
Is DR ELMORE still in the basement?
-
Perhaps we should send out a SEARCH party.
ANY excuse for a party.....
-
Jack, who is the 1 guest you have brought along?
-
I must say that MR BK's story started going in a direction that I did not like.....BUT I think the ending was very nice.
How can you find something in your pocket IF you don't know there is a pocket?
-
Perhaps we should send out a SEARCH party.
ANY excuse for a party.....
If he IS in that basement, we don't want to have a party there.
-
I also always put the same thing in the same place and have for years.
I learned the lesson the hard way MANY TIMES when I decided there was a better and more convenient place for the car keys, my tennis shoes, my wallet, and/or my glasses. Most recently....my telephone.
AND there are half filled bottles of water all over the house.
Sometimes it's not the things I have LOST it's the things I have FOUND.
-
DR RON PULLIAM I think it's Neely O'Hara......except she's being awfully quiet.....for Neely O'Hara.
-
Well that's true......although I have had a few nice moments in basements.
-
We are going to a nice LOCAL CPA/Tax Consultant here in town. My sister talked to them yesterday and we are dropping off papers today.
Recommended by our attorney. Since he's local, I'm sure st least one person in the office went to school with one of my siblings.
His name is Kevin James - so I guess he's the King of Queens.
-
His father who runs the firm is Martin James.....and his office is across the street from my new dentist Todd Taylor.
That end of town is a hopping place!

Not giving in to the urge to shout and holler at a guy holding scissors and a razor to your head is good policy.

I was trying very hard not to imagine that the keys were in the trunk.
-
I, too, have a "fail safe" method of depositing the critical things -- keys, wallet, phone -- in the same places at all times. And I even recite that checklist to myself when I leave the house and when buckling up in the car.
Uh, usually.
I might be a fairly bright fellow (sometimes), but I have learned the hard way that to deviate from routine in such matters is a recipe for disaster.
-
The laundry room is spotless this morning. Clearly, someone after noon spent hours cleaning and bagging that mess to get it out to the curb for pickup this morning.
-
Good morning.
-
I have been out hiking every day lately while the weather is nice. Soon it will be miserably hot.
-
TOD: Probably serving that croquembouche.
-
DR TCB have you had the anniversary cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory?

Wow.

Trapped in a meeting in which someone is reading every last word off pages of suggestions. It’s thrilling, I tell you. Thrilling.
-
Might as well take page two out on a high note.
-
Three!

THREE!!!

Is there an echo in here? ;D

So, the framing is done. They sent proof of size. It’s taller than the framer.

The best musical … ever

Maybe
-
The best musical … ever
I've never thought so.
-
Now that BK is out of Facebook jail, I could never find Ms Quinn's post on Tony Walton that provoked the situation.
-
that looks nice DR JOHN G.
The frame looks nice, too.
-
If I have a choice - I always go for the free range baby & toddler option.
-
The best musical … ever
I've never thought so.
Actually neither have I. It was certainly no Follies.

Usually, Annabelle is the needy one wanting attention; Today it's Thatch who is aggressively needy. He wants attention, but then he runs when I try to hold him.
-
elmore, John Kenrick, who posted the nasty thing about Tony Walton, removed all those posts. I believe he did so so that I could not report her in return. I've blocked them all.
-
I'm up, I'm up - seven hours of sleep and been answering e-mails and doing stuff.

Don't know what to do about food - nothing sounds appealing to me.

I should go out for food, not order through door dash - just don't know what.

Funny how they did the photo. It looks very nice.

Wise decision to block them.

Was Kenrick's posy the one about Tony and friends stealing someone's table at some event? That was the only negative post I ever saw, but I cannot recall qho posted it.

Well, so far the recording project is still afloat.

Great!

I do not know if Purina is having transport issues, supply issues, or bad management, but their Fancy Feast Grilled Tuna and Shrimp & Salmon have been out of stock at every pet supplier for weeks, and the tuna is the one cat food my babies all love. It's working my last nerve.

Good news about the project, DR elmore3003.

What a trophy, DR John G.!

Wow. Reading John Y*p's latest post to CAST-RECL. The one where he uses the phrase "Complete Musicals" about 20 times over.

He's very full of himself. I honestly doubt THE MOST HAPPY FELLA cost $800,000, and I wonder how much of that Jo Loesser paid.

On my way home from the chiropractor the other day, I passed a yard where a sign had been posted. It read "Cat Food Needed Badly".

Hello, everyone.

Nice artwork, John G.
Singdaw noticed the Raisin Bran. I noticed the framer's colorful shoes.

Yes, DR Jeanne - you are all about the fashion. And I am all about the stomach. :D

Speaking of tax preparers...
The week before last I phoned the guy I've been using, Dennis, to ask a couple questions that I could not finish my end of things without. He answered them, then told me to call or email for an appointment when I had everything ready. Tuesday of last week I did so and left a message. No word from him. Last Monday I emailed, suggested that I just drop the papers off at his office and when would someone be there. Still no word. By yesterday I figured he either was deliberately avoiding me or was deeply buried -- neither was good news.
Yesterday I looked for someone else and found a preparer with EXCELLENT reviews. He actually answered the phone and said he could do my return quite soon. He's more expensive and it's further to drive, but I'd like a second opinion on ways to reduce my taxes. I have an appointment with him tomorrow.
-
Hi, Sing.
-
Sounds good, DR Jeanne.
-
Second opinions on things of import sounds like a good idea in general.
-
DR Jeanne, I'm assuming your surgery is outpatient, and that you plan to lay low next week?
-
Oh hi, 5!
-
:)
-
On Tuesday the nurse at my surgeon's office told me he was submitting my Rx orders that day. I hadn't heard from the pharmacy so I phoned them this morning. They have the orders, but apparently hadn't done anything with them. One of them is a special item and takes an extra day to obtain. I'm waiting to hear whether it'll be ready for pick-up tomorrow. The surgery is on Monday and the pharmacy is closed all weekend. I don't like this last-minute drama.
-
DR Jeanne, I'm assuming your surgery is outpatient, and that you plan to lay low next week?
Yes, that's right. I wanted to get my tax documents to the preparer this week. Otherwise it'd have to wait another ten days. Actually, I wanted it done last week.
-
Vibes for Elmore's projects!
-
Understandably.
-
Ron, I'm glad the chiropractor is helping you. It's always helpful to get a referral from someone you know.
-
BTW, Sing, are you still doing your voice training?
-
Well, I've got several things going on in the kitchen that now require my attention.
-
Take care, DR Jeanne.
-
Oh - just saw your post. I still am doing my exercises. My speaking voice for phone work has improved about 85%. My singing voice not nearly as much, although there is some improvement there, as well.
-
Thanks for asking.
-
Nice artwork, John G.
Singdaw noticed the Raisin Bran. I noticed the framer's colorful shoes.

His shoes go with his shirt.

Bye, Sing.

Last night I watched THE BAY on Britbox. It's a Britbox original, but not a new show. It was quite good. I don't know why I wasn't interested in it sooner, but sometimes the ads just don't grab me. They're often misleading.

Thanks, Jane. I don't think the current tax laws allow much negotiation -- not for me, at least. But I'd like to hear that -- or not -- from someone who knows.

Exactly. When I had my cataract surgery several years ago it took TWO WEEKS to fill 3 prescriptions. No end of fumbles. This pharmacy does not seem to be overworked or understaffed and generally gives good customer service.

Organized and good customer service is always appreciated. I switched endocrinologist for that reason. I was originally only going, due to pressure from my OBGYN, to see the new doctor. Basically the finale opinion was similar. Not only did I have more confidence in the new doctor, she and her staff are super organized. I never have to call for texts to be order, they contact me first.

Yes, elmore, it was Kenrick.

I shall now be on my way to the mail place and then the theater.

I think we can manage just a few more posts.

'night

Because, what, really, is a post?

Six!

And the night isn't over, yet!

But I am.
-
Good night, friends.

He doesn’t come with the frame.

Good news, Elmore.

Starting a very odd Romanian film with the weird title of Bad Luck Banging or Looney Porn. It takes place during the pandemic. Everyone's wearing masks. And the opening few minutes are indeed pornographic. It's also caustic and funny and promising. But I doubt I'll finish it tonight.
-
Ron, I'm glad the chiropractor is helping you. It's always helpful to get a referral from someone you know.
It is very helpful, Jeanne. I knew my cousin was using this guy for many years. I recall my mother telling me he helped her at one time.
I feel lucky to have gotten in to see him when I did.
-
Well, there are six (count 'em 6) guests visiting this site.
To them, as they are the only ones around, I bid a good night!!
-
Just bought my tickets for Greece in October. I'm glad I did. I just discovered that my passport expires next month.
-
Good night, Ron.
-
Good night, all.
-
Home from rehearsal - lot of drilling - very helpful for everyone.
-
My goodness! Last night at HHW we had both beefcake and cheesecake!
If I had known you wanted beefcake……

I must say that MR BK's story started going in a direction that I did not like.....BUT I think the ending was very nice.
How can you find something in your pocket IF you don't know there is a pocket?
I was trying very hard not to imagine that the keys were in the trunk.
If it works like my car, you can’t lock the key fob in the trunk.

No, I had to ketchup on Facebook. It's been several days since I did, and a private FB group was created for the cast and crew of the upcoming Mamma Mia! that I'm going to be in. :)
