Well, you've read the notes, the notes had The Adventures of BK, and now it is time for you to post until the adventuresome cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: SENNACHIE!
-
Good morning, all!
-
The notes were great, BK! Sounds like you had a very good day.
-
After my usual cleanups this morning, I'll wait for my Access-a-Ride.
-
Thinking about how to track down Brad Johnson, I thought of my friernd Wade, who conducted at Goodspeed. I sent hium an email yesterday morning asking him to call me. Around 6:00, he called, and we rtalked for about an hour and fifteen minutes. We haven't spoken - though we are Facebook friends - in maybe 20 years, but it seemeds as idf we'd last spoken a week ago. Sadly, he's no longer working at Goodspeed, but he's now at Wright State, where he just finished up a run of Sweet Charity.

Well that was a nail biter
-
The more I think about it, this my advice about going to see the BAM presentation of Cyrano de Bergerac
-
Don’t
-
But then again I am a traditionalist
-
When I go to the theatre I would like to see sets, makeup, costumes
-
And I would like the actors to speak so they can be understood , not in rapid fire rhymes while someone else makes loud rhythmic noises with their mouth over the top of the dialogue
-
But I am an old fogey
-
So what do I know
-
Also it would be nice if the theatre temperature could be under 110 degrees
-
But it was very nice to see my friends and they were both truly delighted with the show
-
Of course they are both huge James McAvoy fans and I wouldn’t know the man if I tripped over him in my front foyer
-
But we had fun before and after the show and had dinner at Juniors in Brooklyn
-
I had their grilled cheese on challah which came with a side of perfectly cooked steak fries
-
And I had a side of mushroom gravy for dipping
-
And a vanilla egg cream
-
I bought a plain cheesecake to bring home to Vixdad
-
Which made him very happy
-
Good morning, all.
-
The trip to Vegas sounds like everything went according to Hoyle, and that would be a good thing.
-
It's here! It's here!
Welcome to the middle of the work week!
Of course, it's no longer MY work week, but it's everyone else's who works, isn't it!
-
I had a relatively decent night's sleep.
I woke up at one point and thought it must be about 7 a.m. But it was only 12:44 a.m.
I pondered that for a while. Next time I awakened it was nearly 5 a.m., and it was time for a trip to the loo.
I had enough sleep, but wish I could sleep through every night and not wake up wondering what time it might be.
-
It seems odd to me that I could wake up after two hours of sleep and think it's time to get up, but when it's truly time to get up, I feel like sleeping more.
-
Is it mental...or what?

And a big Wednesday hello to the 6 guests my screen tells me are here.
-
Sheep that pass in the night
-
Kitty cleanup is over, and I am ready for Access-a-Ride. God knows when they will show up.
-
DR Elmore, it was good to hear about your reconnecting with your friend Wade. I also hope that that, or other connections, lead to the whereabouts of Brad Johnson.
-
I enjoyed reading about Bruce's adventures yesterday.
I watched the Partridges, of course, and I liked the Cowsills, so I am certain the event would have appealed to me a great deal.
Why weren't any former permanent cast members there, I wonder?
-
Great notes.
I am now off to get the booster! And do some shopping and then come home BEFORE the thunderstorms and winds begin.....
-
Good morning, all.
-
Thanks for the Cyrano notes, Vixmom. I would probably have had a similar reaction. But I do know James McAvoy or however you spell his name.
-
Glad to read the trip to Vegas went well..
-
And a vanilla egg cream
Me want.

I had to get up in the middle of the night to turn on the AC. It was just too hot. 85 inside at 12:30.

Congrats on the successful Partridge Family event, BK!
-
Yes it sounds like it was a lot of fun. Maybe someone will post photos from the event and we can see MR BK's face on a placard!
-
I have been boosted.....
-
Humongous cast list is posted on the website.....
-
So we move on.
-
What was Cyrano doing in DR VIXMOM's front foyer?
Beat Box?
-
From George:
The young woman choreographing the numbers doesn't realize that old, fat bodies cannot turn all the way around in one beat.
:))
-
DR Vixmom would you also have left the show at intermission had your friends not loved it?
-
Of course they are both huge James McAvoy fans and I wouldn’t know the man if I tripped over him in my front foyer
I guess you didn't watch HIS DARK MATERIALS.
-
I’m more satisfied with the ending of Dexter: New Blood than the original series.
-
Rainy day here in Indiana - storms predicted after 4 p.m.
-
We have heard from 22 of the 24 heirs who were sent checks.

It was great to see Dr Corrado. The two Access-a-Rides were hellish. In both cases there were two passengers, and in both cases I was the last one dropped off. And NYC traffic today is terrible.
-
DR Vixmom would you also have left the show at intermission had your friends not loved it?
It crossed my mind

Well, yesterday's subway shooter is in custody.

I want a day off.

-
Good afternoon, friends.
-
I have much to catch up on!
-
DR Vixmom would you also have left the show at intermission had your friends not loved it?
It crossed my mind
A couple of times we would have left if the people we were with had not wanted to stay.
-
Bruce I am really glad you decided to attend the event. I expected you might enjoy it.
-
There were so many variables that could have gone wrong, but everything ran like clockwork!
-
Rain.

My question for ASK BK DAY:
Sometimes when I was only seeing you on an occasional tv show, I would have to watch the credits because I couldn't decide if I was seeing you or Bud Cort or Wes Stern....
Did anyone ever mistake you for another actor when asking for an autograph?
-
DR TCB I have to agree with you about the voice of Jane Powell. It has always irritated me as well.
She and Kathryn Grayson both sing with that annoying nails on the blackboard high register.
It's something I don't hear when I listen to Jeannette MacDonald or in particularly Miss Deanna Durbin when they sing the same songs.

I thought you were Whosits! Whatever happened to her?
-
LOL exactly!
-
This booster is giving me a bit of a queasy feeling......not pleasant.
-
I am watching KISMET on TCM again.
The costume designer and the set designer really should have had a meeting or something.....all of the actors who wear those spiked helmets have to duck their heads to get through the doors.

Never when asking for an autograph - but I used to get Chevy Chase all the time after Saturday Night Live became popular. Annoying.
-
I'm up, I'm up - eleven hours of absolutely needed sleep.
-
My new license plates arrived so I'll see if I can figure out how to put them on the car.

Where’s the party?
-
Waiting in line for gas at Costco.
-
Four!
-
Time to fuel.
-
Good afternoon.
-
'night
-
Gas was $3.32 a gallon.
-
I need a good book. Any suggestions?
-
I’m almost finished with Vladimir. It’s not about Nabokov. It’s okay, but when I stop reading, I feel no need to pick it up again.
-
I started Emily St. John Mandel’s Sea of Tranquility, but it’s so short, I’ll be finished before I know it.
-
Read a few of the reviews of Barry Manilow's Harmony, which has certainly taken its time making it to New York. Sounds like the score is lovely, but the book isn't up to snuff. I hope there is a recording.
-
Gratuitous post 99!
-
I have started Red Rocket, which is quite funny. But none of the characters is remotely likable, which makes watching a little hard. It's also a little too long at 130 minutes.
-
At CostCo today, regular gas was $3.19.
I was actually furious with myself for filling the car this morning in Johnston. It was $3.86/gallon here for regular.
-
Based on somebody's recommendations from this here blog over the past couple of weeks, I watched "A Rainy Day in New York" this evening.
I absolutely love it! If I hadn't known it was an Allen film, I'd have immediately recognized the Woody Allen wit/voice/style in all the dialogue.
There wasn't a wasted second in that film. It flowed from start to finish!!
-
My allergist said I'm doing a bit better on the tests they give before each appointment.
She noted I sounded congested, and I admitted to her that I am having a rather bad reaction to all the pollens in the air as well as lot of dust being stirred up as the house is having paint scraped and is being power-washed afterward..
-
I am about to fall asleep as I sit here thinking of something to type.
I guess it's bed-time for Bonzo!
But, since DR singdaw has already said good night, I'll say it, too!
-
But I haven't!
-
But I will.
-
Good night, friends.
-
Today I bought a ticket to see the Encores production of i Into the Woods
-
Elmore's mostest favoritist musical ever
-
I was able to snag a front row seat in the Grand Tier albeit on the side
-
It was the only non VIP seat left in the section for the Saturday 2 pm.show
-
I particularly wanted that show because I always enjoy the talk backs
-
Sounds like fun, Vixmom.
-
Good night, all.
-
Looks like the Saturday matinee is sold out now so I guess I grabbed a ticket just in time
-

Literally just a few minutes ago, I read this article: Barry Manilow tests positive for COVID-19, misses opening night of 'Harmony' musical (https://www.msn.com/en-us/entertainment/news/barry-manilow-tests-positive-for-covid-19-misses-opening-night-of-harmony-musical/ar-AAWcrZc?ocid=uxbndlbing).
Darn.

Yikes! :o That's quite the spread.

Congrats, Vixmom! Can't wait to hear about it!

And now...
-
BK, was there ever any doubt you would lay them in the aisles?

I have a copy of the demo recording that I've had since 2008.
-
I've listened to it, but it's been quite a while since I have, so I don't remember much about it. Maybe I'll bring it to work and listen to it.
-
I understand it is being directed by the director of CYRANO!

It's in English. I'd heard another musical version of the same basic story, but it was a German musical, so that was all in German.
-

That was suppose to be attached to INTO THE WOODS, not HARMONY. George butted in!
-
Hey elmore, my friends Sharry and Micheal are flying into New York tomorrow, so if you happen to be in the area of Times Square, watch for them.

It's all in the timing. ::)
;D

And...it's happened to all of us!
-
It is another cold night in Puyallup.
-
It is another cold night in Puyallup.
It's chilly here in Tumwater, but I wouldn't say "cold." Last night, however, when I came home from Centralia, I had to scrape my car when I picked it up from my sister's house.

The only nice day coming up this week is Easter Sunday.
-
Good night, George.

Good! It's also my niece's 38th birthday!
-
Good night, George.
Good night, Tom.
-
I'm off to bed. I have a dentist appointment in the late morning, but I'll go to to work first, then go back to work.
Just had to share. ;)
-
Have a good Thursday, all!
