DR JohnG, good guessing about that 4-disc set, but no cigar.
I abhor "Ishtar" with every fiber of my being.
If it is now finding an audience, so be it. I can just yawn when the topic is broached and concentrate on a hangnail or something.
Another, worse for me, film is "Heaven's Gate". Some of you may love it. Even the roller skating sequence left me numb and a bit dumbstruck. Blech!

Did you mean my comment about that 4-disc set? What was I guessing at?

I was guessing that it would be a 4-disc set of a classic musical, something like Home Sweet Homer or Uri.

I watched Heaven’s Gate when a snowstorm left me housebound for a weekend. Even though I had nothing else to do, I still want that time back.
I have never seen Ishtar.
For that matter, nor have I seen Heaven's Gate.

Housing trim vibes for DR RON PULLIAM.
DR Laura, have you purchased your copy yet?
I think I have an upper respiratory infection from allergies. Breathing is a little hard today.

A Very Happy Birthday to DR Jennifer!! :D
DR Laura may have bought that book, but she's engrossed in this one:
I did not like working at the office today. It was empty and I got lazy about wearing my mask.
Yesterday it was 72 degrees and today was a brisk 52 degrees.
Our library sent back our copies and got a refund. I think I'd heard that other libraries kept theirs and may have re-catalogued them as fiction, but I don't specifically remember the details.
It's a process.
I just deleted my Twitter account. I hardly ever used it, and now I never will.

I find it interesting you returned your copies. The book was A Million Little Pieces by James Frey. We discussed it yesterday, and the difference between lying about the content and being up front about the changes you made. Most authors are open about the changes, at least I think they are.
I wonder...
Don't know what just made me think of this, but I grew up in Palos Verdes Estates (now Rancho Palos Verdes), about a 1 hour drive from Disneyland. We used to go as a family about 3 times per year. Fond memories.

If I remember correctly, the author wasn't up front about how much was fiction, or that any of it was fiction, which was a deciding factor in the return.

It didn't help that Oprah was angry after having raved about the book.
Wouldn't it be fun to eat beef wellington on Mount Wellington?
In our corporate writing style, we use the phrase “We are unable to …” to tell you no.
Well, there’s a world of no out there and I’d like to change that phrase to: No ranch for you.
Peach punch, no less.
Oh the Painter and the Porch Man should be friends.
Yes the Painter and the Porch Man should be friends.
One man likes to swing a brush, the other thinks there's too much rush....
But the Painter and the Porch Man should be friends.
Peach punch, no less.
I have learned this week that you can cook with peach leaves and make a tea with them, too.
Dear to me is A Christmas Album because the song The Best Gift which is how I felt about Bryan. I got that album after he was born.

Angry Oprah is the title of my next novel. Or would Angering Oprah be better?
Dear to me is A Christmas Album because the song The Best Gift which is how I felt about Bryan. I got that album after he was born.
Starting to watch C'mon C'mon, which got rave reviews. Joaquin Phoenix. Independent movie in black and white. I'm 22 minutes in and it all feels so fake. I used to like movies that were filmed on no budget, but I don't remember them feeling this forced or fake.
Shall we sing a round of "My Garden" from Celebration?
Or "Come to my Garden" from The Secret Garden?
Or "Make Our Garden Grow" from Candide?
Today, a conundrum.
I received in the mail a copy of People magazine. From the cover, it looks like I have a year's subscription.
But I never ordered one, and if I had the money to spend, People would be my last choice.

Did you have a subscription for Entertainment Weekly? If so, People is your new magazine. Entertainment Weekly has stopped publication.
You'd think they'd at least let them know.

They did let me know.
Well, this looks cool. Here's a trailer for Mack und Mabel Musical - Eine musikalische Liebesgeschichte (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ddBGZODwKlE). :)
