Well, you've read the notes, the notes had a three-show weekend, and now it is time for you to post until the three-show cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: SATURNIAN!
-
Thanks so much for the birthday wishes, BK!!!
-
Favorite pizza, other than Skip's homemade pizza, used to be Ray Bari's at 56th and 3rd in Manhattan.
-
Ray Bari's seems to use a less special recipe these days, though.
-
Good morning, all!
-
It probably took the first act yesterday for the old folks' meds rto kick in.
-
Despite Thatch's continuous efforts to get me out of bed this morning, I took my time. Annabelle, who's been lethargic the past couple of days, is feeliong very very frisky this morning. I'm very happy about that.
-
This morning, around 5:45, we had a noisy bout of thunder. I hope DR vixmom is not basiling water this morning. IUt's supposed to be a rainy week.
-
Good morning

Happy Birthday to FJL aka Freddie
May the day be filled with wonderful surprises!

John’s Pizza is always very nice
-
There’s a very nice pizza place just down the block that makes lovely pizzas
-
I like mushroom pizzas where they really slather on the mushrooms, not just throw a few thin slices about
And roasted red peppers are also nice
-
And although I might lose my New Yorker Pizza card for this
Ham and pineapple pizza can be very tasty
-
Good morning, all.
-
Then of course California Pizza Kitchen’s Thai Pizza is a favorite

My favorite pizza was at some outdoor cafe in Venice. The setting could not have been more perfect. The toppings included anchovies, olives and capers, which are favorites.
-
Happy birthday, Fred!
-
Is Skip making you anything special for dinner?
-
I prefer think-crust pizza. But when I was in Chicago, I had a few deep-dish pies. They were fine, but there was a keto-friendly version where the crust was made entirely of sausage. I enjoyed that.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
DR TCB, I am about two-thirds of the way through Randy Rainbow's book. It is well thought out and well written, and I'm enjoying it.
-
A very happy birthday wish to DR Freddie.
-
A chicken buckquet for Mother's Day? What WILL they think of next?

Thanks, John!
He actually made something special (to my tastes) for lunch yesterday and it wasn't even a birthday.
-
A very happy birthday wish to DR Freddie.
That looks great! Thank you, singdaw!
-
I don't know if it's the humidity, which is 100% this morning but my left leg does not want to work this morning.

Thanks so much, vixmom!
Expecting low-key surprises, if any, since it's a weekday.

My left leg was doing fine when I first got up until I forgot I was having pain on that side. I turned with my weight on that leg...and sat on the floor. Landed on my left buttock. OOF!
Thank goodness for carpeting.

Congrats to MR BK & CO for the hefty coin weekend.
-
I like sausage & pepperoni on my pizzas.....and sometimes chicken....
Mostly I get Papa John's......
-
The You Can't Take It With You audience was most amused when I pronounced "baked beans" like "naked" beans......

Every time I find myself here with 1 guest, I always wonder who that 1 guest could be.
Is it another member on the main page but not on the comment page?
Is it an unlogged-in-member or former member checking us out?
Is it a curious person surfing the net and landing her wondering what on earth it is?
So many questions about that 1 mystery guest.

DR John I thought you might have read the Gaiman book. I saw it on a list books recommended for ages 8-11 or older and decided to read it before gifting the book.
-
Wow, I had read about the rise in TB and didn't know is was this bad. When my nephew was in law school there was an outbreak in LA. He was pretty sick for awhile. They tested everyone he was in contact and a few of those, including his sister, had to go on antibiotics. Since they were caught before demonstrating symptoms the recovered very quickly.
-
As for misdiagnosing covid instead of TB, granted symptoms can be similar but it still doesn't make sense. Were they diagnosing people without testing them for covid?

I don't need to buy the Gaiman book which I did like it. We are taking the 13th year old out to lunch for her special birthday, then to Powell's books to let her pick out a book or two.
-
Just the three of us instead of other family members. I am excited.

I re-listened to the original cast recording of Ballroom yesterday. I still like the score. I saw the pre-Broadway production in Stratford, CT when the cut number "The Job Application" (which bk subsequently recorded) was still in the show.
-
The Glenn Gould re-mastered box set is tempting, but it's $800, so that won't be happening. You can also buy it on USB stick for a mere $300.

I love that score. And I have long before I started dancing.

Yes. I need to remember to be more "aware".
After jumping out of bed during the night to deal with a foot cramp, stepping on my foot and falling on my face, I am very careful how I get out of bed.
-
I'm up, I'm up - rough night - slept three hours, up for three hours, slept four hours. And now must go do things.

Happy Birthday, DR FRED!
Thank you so much, Jrand!
-
George - Thank you for the lovely birthday wishes in last night's posts!
-
About 20 years ago we took the train from Florence to Pisa where we had a four cheese pizza for lunch. Until our last trip to Italy I always said it was the best pizza I ever had.
-
For dessert I had, until our last trip to Italy, the best Gelato.
-
Charming old town, the tower, and excellent food. It was a good day.
-
Five years ago, in Rome, we had the most incredible pizza.
-
DR Vixmom, you would have loved it. It was topped with a wonderful variety of mushrooms.
-
:)
-
Had to get out of the house for a short while. Drove to Edgefield, went to McDonald's and stopped back by the post office before returning home.
Beautiful day here; temps in the high 80s.
-
We are supposed to hear if we are cast in the show by telephone tonight after the audition session is over.
-
For some reason Below Deck is not on Bravo tonight - and I am not at all interested in watching Summer House - I feel I have already seen it because of all the promos that run DURING Below Deck.....
At least - I've seen enough of it.
-
I finally got my Goldman Sachs replacement MasterCard. They bought out the GM MasterCard.
So I had to go to PayPal and Amazon to add it and make it my Preferred way to Pay.
-
Jack: Is Merchant's Bank still around? It was my bank when I lived in Indianapolis.

:)
-
Cute.
-
It has been very quiet here.
-
Tonight I had Chinese food with my neighbor Ann on the fifth floor. She wanted me to see the new West Side Story. I liked it much more than I expected. It was her third viewing.
-
'night
-
Good night, friends.
-
Finishing up Jockey, which is a fairly strong independent movie. Great performances, especially from Clifton Collins Jr. it’s also fairly sad. Solid three stars out of four.
-
Forgot that the Met Gala is tonight.
-
Need to see some outrageous stuff.
-
Ben Platt wore platform shoes. Get it?
I hope those suckers are not making a comeback. And yes, I had a pair when I was 10.
-
I don't know who most of the people are, but the men are wearing greater fashion faux pas-es than any of the women, though Awkwafina (sp?) and Jessica Chastain tried their best.
-
I'm also really old. I like the tattoos less in these photos than ever before.
-
Hillary Clinton is wearing one of Whoopi Goldberg's leftovers.
-
Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman both looked dapper in white tie.
-
Janelle Monae had the looks to pull off her dress with the right attitude.
-
Oh, well, my internet crashed.
-
I need to get my laptop replaced.
-
It’s old. Maybe 12 years or so.
-
But I have other bills to pay.
-
I’ve started the documentary Attica, which was up for the Oscar last year. Well made, tough to watch.
-
So, the Supreme Court is set to strike down Roe v. Wade.
-
Can we get off this page?
-
Onward!
-
Five!
-
Hi, Ron.
-
Good night, all.
-
George - Thank you for the lovely birthday wishes in last night's posts!
You're very welcome, Fred!
-
Act one went...well. it had it's moments, but it's actually going not too badly.
-
No costumes tonight, but we'll be wearing them tomorrow.
-
Just dropping in to wish DR Freddie/FJL a great birthday! You do celebrate all week, right? I recommend it. Too much for one day. Hope you had a wonderful day and continue to do so.
-
Good night.
-
It has been very quiet here.
Not here. ::)

New notes are up.

I'm up.

Others, not so much.
-
I gotta tell you.
