It was 56, count 'em, 56 years ago TODAY that I was born. Of course, I was born at 11:55 pm in the eastern time zone, so I'm not exactly 56 years old, yet.
Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of two anniversaries, and now it is time for you to post until the anniversary cows come home.
Good orning, all!
HAPPY MOVIE ANNIVERSARY WISHES to bk!!!!!!!!!
Not to get political, but here's a Twitter thread about how:
"For Jews who can become pregnant, access to abortion services is a religious *requirement*, and has been for thousands of years. Surprised? Let's dig into some of the texts...."

News from yesterday (and which you may wish to skip):
I was in dire physical stress yesterday and called a physical therapy place in Aiken SC to ask if I needed a referral and what their charges were. With Medicare, they were minimal charges, but to use it would require a physician's referral. The charges were reasonable, otherwise, for one or two visits.
I then called my chiropractor, who had advised me to seek physical therapy, and asked if he gave referrals. He explained that he did not as he does not accept Medicare patients and, thus, cannot refer anyone who wants to use Medicare.
He did urge me to come see him and he thought he could help me. So, I embarked on a journey to Leesville, limped painfully into his office and sat down.
When it was my turn, I explained to him how I was feeling and that I had fallen Monday morning when I stupidly made a turn on my left leg without bracing myself.
He got me on the table and had me stretch my legs out. My right leg was a couple of inches shorter, he said, and that he would need to unlock my pelvis to correct it. He had me one leg over the other and did something I could not see. Rather, I "felt" it.
He declared my legs to be of even lengths and asked me to stand and walk a bit. I could tell that it was better, but I had a devastating pain in my left knee.
I limped back to my car, sat down and settled into the most comfortable position I could, hoping that the pain would go away.
As I began my drive home, I felt my left leg relax and the pain abated. By the time I reached home, I was able to get out of my car and walk normally -- if slowly -- into the house without my cane.
Suffice it to say, I was coping much more easily.
Next thing: My cousin Butch called to invite me to have Mother's Day lunch with him and his fiancee, Sharon, at the club on Sunday. I told him I would, but that I might be a bit wobbly because I am sure I have a case of sciatica. The VA will see me but not until May 19.
He offered to prescribe prednizone (he's a GP) which he thought would help ease any swelling that might impact the sciatic nerve. He explained he could not guarantee complete success but felt it would help. It's non-narcotic and non-addictive, so he felt it would be worthwhile to try.
Will obviously keep everyone posted.
I am so glad you have gotten some relief. I have, fortunately, never had sciatica so badly that I needed medication. Vibes it helps.

Thanks. The odd thing to me was when I looked at the bottle once I got home the instruction read "6,6,5,5,4,4,3,3,2,2,1,1 daily",
I guessed, from the quantity in the bottle, that it meant, per dose. I called Butch to verify, and he said it was so...and warned me to only take it after a meal. So, I had lunch and took my first six tablets.
DR George, wishing all great things for you today on your birthday, and all through the coming year!!!!! Keep on truckin'.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy Birthday to our DR George !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well my kat skan results were posted on My Chart. I don't understand it all, but it seems to be some fatty spots on/in my liver.
My next appointment with my doctor is July 22 - so if after seeing the results today, he doesn't call me - I'm going to assume it isn't a life threatening or deadly serious condition.....and my phone hasn't rang yet.
This makes me laugh every time I read it.

Happy Birthday to our beloved young DR George, he of the generous and helpful nature!
May your day be filled with delightful surprises!
And delicious cake
Happy Birthday, DR George! May your day be a wonderful one!
During lunch today, I watched a movie on MGMHD called "It Could Happen to You", a 1994 rom-com starring Nicolas Cage and Bridget Fonda. I remember liking it and enjoying the music in the film.
Funnily enough, the CD soundtrack featured all the songs used, which were very good, but managed to include some rather nice tracks from the orchestral underscore written by one of my very favorite film composers, Carter Burwell. He has scored many wonderful films, including "Gods and Monsters".
I thoroughly enjoyed it again, although the courtroom sequence is a bit farfetched in terms of credibility. Rosie Perez has a field day as Cage's ex-wife making her bid to claim all the money from his lottery win (he had gotten one of her numbers wrong, but won anyway).
I like the one in the light hat.

Okay, so a coworker and I have developed a horror/noir movie plot outline. A person's cats discover they can take out insurance on their owner.

I wonder if the programme for DR GEORGE's show will be like the Broadway one - that just listed all the songs on one page and didn't let people know what was coming next they weren't in show order.....it was like that in the tour programme as well.
DR George, a nice birthday present would be for the dealership to call you today to advise on the status of your new car.
Happy Birthday, George!
So what's the status on your car, George? Have you had any communication from the dealer lately?
That's pretty much all they could tell me. I'm going call tomorrow and (if I remember) every Friday until they have an actual day and date. >:(
So what's the status on your car, George? Have you had any communication from the dealer lately?
As of last Thursday, April 29, they still showed the estimated arrival time of "April." ::)
DR Jeanne have you tried the Refresh eye drops yet?
And you don't have much of a say since you aren't the one who hires him.
DR Jeanne have you tried the Refresh eye drops yet?
I've gotten as far as opening the bottle. That required some ingenuity and the pliers. I'll give you a full report as soon as I've made an assessment.
But at least he's civil. The plumber they used to use would always yell as me, saying things like, "You have to stop doing that!" I suspect he was really yelling at his wife or kids, but it got directed at me.

:o :o
I expected them to arrive in individual tubes.
May 14th is National Decency Day. That might do it.

No, the bottle has a special design to keep the solution sterile so single-dose containers aren't necessary. Thus the difficulty opening the bottle. I thought the $14 price was a big high, but it turned out to be a 3-pack, ie, three .33 oz bottles.

I'd love to think that people would suddenly change their behavior, but I'm not holding my breath.

I think they are in a time warp.
Happy Birthday to DR George!
I hope you've been having a wonderful day!
George, enjoy your birthday evening
Pain resolution vibes to DR Ron and anyone else needing them.

Annabelle's had a policy on me for several years now.
Watching the beginning of Mr. and Mrs. Bridge. I loved this movie back when it came out and haven't seen it since then. I think this was Paul and Joanne's best picture, and the first half hour is riveting.
I saw Robert Westenberg's name in the credits. I haven't seen him yet.
Have a fun evening George.

You will recognize him. He will have an artificial penis on the outside of his pants.
