Well, you've read the notes, then notes were 131% and went to infinity and beyond, and now it is time for you to post until the 131% to infinity and beyond cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: GALVANIZE!
-
Fantastic Secret Perk! By the way, what show(s) did Kander and Schmidt write?
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Good morning to everyone. Hope everybody has a fabulous weekend.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Good news, JRand, on the sold-out Clue houses.
-
Good luck on the last day of the campaign, BK.

Congratulations Jack

Vibes for Elmore just because
-
Tonight I’m going to Jones Beach to see the band Chicago
-
and Brian Wilson with Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin
-
So that should be fun
-
Now I must get ready for work

Byeeeeeeeeeeeeee
-
Something to bear in mind.
-
I am pretty sure I have never watched The Matchmaker, and now I think I should like to.
-
Best wishes to bk on the last day of the Indie get-get-get-up-and-go campaign!
-
Good morning, all.
-
I am using the word "day" in an approximate sense.
-
Since who knows what the heck is going on with that timeclock.
-
I managed to stab myself to bleeding whilst unloading the dishwasher this morning.
-
So there's that.
-
I have a co-worker who is returning to the team on Monday after galavanting on vacation in France for the past 5 weeks. The Team decided to make an online flipbook welcome back production, and I volunteered to do it. It's been fun putting together and formatting the greetings and quotes interspersed with photos of Paris and France. Fun, but also a learning project.
-
Another team member just announced a pregnancy.
-
When you're a small team, these things make a big impact.
-
Speaking of big impacts....
-
TWO!!

Did you place the sharp knives in the silverware rack pointing UP, DR singdaw?

Asking for a friend.

;D
-
Stupidly, I impaled myself on a regular old table fork.
-
If someone were to buy the secret special perk right this very moment, that would instantly take the campaign to 156%.
-
Wish that could be me.
-
But it's not in the cards.
-
As they say.
-
Which is ironic, because the perk IS cards.
-
So to speak.
-
So one might say that the cards aren't in the cards.
-
And they wouldn't be wrong.
-
The cards aren’t in the stars.
-
If Sondheim is wrong, I don't wanna be right.
-
That too, DR ChasSmith.
-
We need a few good men.
-
To come to the aid of their
countrymen music director.
-
I don’t even want to think about what the stars aren’t in.
-
DR vixmom, please look away.
-
Love, Look Away.
-
Come From Away.
-
Away in a Manger.
-
Oh dear.

He's free-associating again.

Good morning, all!
-
I've been in Wonky Computer Land for the past three hours, and I am not amused, not at all.
-
At the moment Clean My Mac is running a thorough scan of this antique computer. If that property sells, I'm getting a new one.
-
I have nothing to relate.
I'm happy DR Jrand71 is in a hit.
I'm happy that Indiegogo has hit 131% and I am dying to know the secret perk.
I hope DR vixmom enjoys her Jones Beach concert tonight.
I remain surprised that DR ChasSmith is having trouble casting his show.
-
I need to take the garbage to the basement and get yesterday's mail.
-
DR Elmore: How old is that computer, and what OS is it on?
Don’t need to know, just curious. I hope the cleaning up process gives good results.
-

As do we. The local theatrical scene has changed for the worse in the last several years, well before Covid, as far as sufficient numbers of people auditioning, and every single theeder is reporting this. We chose Carrie partly on the basis of its notoriety and its sort-of cult following. That was successful in terms of the lead girl and the mother, sort of successful in terms of the two secondary girls, and the usual bust in terms of the rest. We’ll get there, but it’s not without considerable effort.
-
I think only William Faulkner hisseff could bring DR VIXMOM's story to life.....in one long sentence....
-
Thanks to everyone for the wonderful comments. My hope is that we don't have any MORE standbys on tonight.....two is plenty.....and perhaps one original cast member will be back....
-
I can't believe nobody has grabbed those Twiggy cds.
Lots of fun songs and she really can sing!
-
When we think back to the 1990s and aughts when “my” generation of theeder people was first becoming active, there’s no comparison. It was a different world. You never worried about being able to cast a show. You picked the show you wanted to do, and that was that.
-
Agree, DR Jrand71. I was very happy to check and find that I indeed had both Twiggy CDs.
-
I think only William Faulkner hisseff could bring DR VIXMOM's story to life.....in one long sentence....
Proust would likewise do justice to it in that regard. But the quality of enjoyment derived therefrom would depend heavily on the skill of the translator.
-
Happy Friday, everyone!

Oops, same here.

Congrats DR Jrand.

So that should be fun
Have a great evening.

I am pretty sure I have never watched The Matchmaker, and now I think I should like to.
With the wonderful Shirley Booth?

Had a wonderful chicken shawarma pita for lunch. Now, off to a pie/ice cream place.

DR vixmom, please look away.

DR John, DR Jennifer liked The Maid. I have been on the fence about reading this.

Yes; the one bk referenced in today's notes.

Let's get this show on the road!

I managed to stab myself to bleeding whilst unloading the dishwasher this morning.

If Sondheim is wrong, I don't wanna be right.
Agreed!!

I'm up, I'm up - only about five hours of sleep. Who can sleep when there's cheerleading to be done.
-
Just had our first bit of action for the day.
-
DR vixmom, please look away.
I'd drop dead right there, and while dying would burst the eardrums if anyone in a 5 mile radius with my shrieks
-
Also, heard back from Indiegogo and as it turns out the actual end time of the campaign is on the site, just in teeny-tiny type. So, we end at precisely 11:59 tonight, so we can have a proper and fun countdown.
-
Stupidly, I impaled myself on a regular old table fork.
Singdaw, I implore you not to fork yourself
-
We ordered lunch for delivery
-
I ordered turkey, avocado and Muenster on rye
-
It came with a note:
-
"Sorry, no avocado"

A phone call would have killed them?

A phone call would have killed them?
I know! You'd think they'd offer some kind of replacement. :P

132%
-
Just had quite a bit of action, hence what ChasSmith said: 132%!!!
-
Eight percent to get to 140%.

JUST SAY NO to teeny-tiny type!
-
We're a teeny tiny band.
-
Welcome to Falsettoland.
-
Tiny but mighty.
-
I ain't got no steenkin' teeny tiny type on my Go-Go page. Must be only on BK's view.
-
Stupidly, I impaled myself on a regular old table fork.
Those are sharp. While I have never drawn blood, I have hurt myself on them.
-
A phone call would have killed them?
Did they at least give you lettuce or mayo?
-
Oh, my! I was really worried!

I don't usually read the notes until returning home from the gym.

Now that I have read the notes.....
-
I agree with Bruce regarding MATCHMAKER.
-
Now I am in the mood to watch it again.
-
Happy end-of-indiegogo day! Congrats, BK!
-
Waiting for next batch of action - just put a Junior High School Blu/CD combo up. Paula Abdul, after all.
-
In post office news, the BK book that the package room signed for two weeks ago just got into our hands today.
-
It's Christmas in July!
-
Read it, review it.
-
Waiting, waiting. May put up a few more CD things.

The Mississippi River and all its tributaries. Pretty awesome!

New CD perky perks are up - letting you all know first but will update on Facebook at two o'clock my time.
-
Read it, review it.
So it has been written, so it shall be reviewed.
-
I am really glad that bk didn't get put in FB prison these past 2 weeks. It would have made it extremely difficult for the campaign.

Wow, had they lost it?

Only $10 to 133%!

133!

Boom. THAT'LL wake you up in the morning!
I love the color purple, however, that would put me over the edge in the morning and cause me to barf.
-
I saw a news headline that said "Hollywood power couple welcomes 2nd child together". I have no idea who these people are ;D
-
133%! I happen to have a little inside information that something very nice might happen at five o'clock.

Meanwhile, only nine hours left.

I'm doing hourly updates on Facebook now.

George & TCB, did you receive ballots to vote?

We received our ballets today but never received a voters pamphlet.

~~~Super "Something Very Nice" Vibes!!~~~
-
George & TCB, did you receive ballots to vote?
I got my ballot either yesterday or the day before, and the voter's pamphlet either last week or the week before. I did get them both.
-
Waiting in the amphitheater.
-
Here’s hoping your wish comes true, BK.
-
They’re doing the original script of Sound of Music. An Ordinary Couple and How Can Love Survive are both listed.
-
Oui, oui!
-
Thanks. "Interesting" we missed ours.
-
At least we can find information online.
-
I have voted by mail for our August primaries.
-
I have heard that some states are moving to prevent any mail in ballots at all.
I couldn't agree more, DR George.
I like that.
I have voted by mail for our August primaries.
We will be voting by mail. I just don't know how I will be voting yet.
I have heard that some states are moving to prevent any mail in ballots at all.
I am pleased that we are a vote by mail state.
Yup.
-
Whoa! The campaign just took a serious jump!
-
Congratulations, bk!
-
And it looks like the secret special perk is still on the table.
-
145%!!! Another five percent and we cross 30K and 150%! We can DO this. Puuuuuuush.
Thankfully, I knew this jump was coming.
I am reading The Lioness by Chris Bohjalian. So far I like it though I wish I had picked HORSE instead of this for my book group discussion.
-
Can anyone explain what this sentence means?
"His brown T-shirt hugged his chest and his biceps like Saran Wrap"
-
Saran Wrap! :o
-
Clinging to his body?
-
Have you ever worked with Saran Wrap? It is difficult to keep it smooth and perfect looking-lol
Have you ever worked with Saran Wrap?
Never without profuse tears.
Six more hours.
-
I made pasta with butter and cheese for food at noon o'clock. Also, I do have to do a quick Gelson's run for Tide - she of the Evil Eye needs it.
-
146%!
Vibes you make it to 150%
-
I will find out tomorrow.
-
'night
-
Action is pretty steady but not quite enough to move us up a percent, although I think we're now pretty close to that.
-
Great news on 146%!!
Need to go higher!! Need to go higher!!
A Gospel at Colonus reference.
-
This is all very exciting.
-
However, I have been up since about 2:30am and just can't last any longer.
-
Continued success to the campaign in its final hours!
-
Good night, friends.
-
Surprise perky perk now up - the hyper-rare six-CD The Ten Commandments box set - Elmer Bernstein - the entire score, the mono LP, the stereo LP, the re-recording highlights, tons of extras - it's really like the Twenty Commandments. This thing is going for over five hundred bucks. We're priced well under any copies - like WELL under.
-
:)
Amazing is that the cats permitted this ;D
I'll bet singdaw looked really cute in the outfit on the left.
-
Less than four hours.
-
Ha I bought a perky perk CD - but it was NOT The Ten Commandments......
-
Audience loved the show - but of course it is theeder tradition that at this point in the run - some performers decide to start padding their parts and add lots of eye rolling and movement and interaction.....which robs the show of its fun.....and also makes them miss cues because they are so busy acting.
ONE MORE NIGHT. Thanks for the vibes everyone.....all sold out.....and then on to JOSEPH.
-
Friday.....INDIEGOGO vibes for MR BK!
PUSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
-
From Clue to Joseph in one fell swoop.
-
Not sure we'll have much action in the next hour or two and then it will all be whether someone will come in at the end to take us to 150%. It's possible, certainly, and I'm hoping it happens.
-
Congrats on 146%!
Awesome!
-
Jrand, congrats on your successful run.
Have a great, sold out closing night!
And, then…Go Go Go Joseph….!!
-
145%!!! Another five percent and we cross 30K and 150%! We can DO this. Puuuuuuush.
Hoo and Ray!!
-
Bruce, I have SO many of these recordings.
Terry Trotter’s Sondheim in Jazz is great…i have Passion.
-
So, the program said they were going to sing An Ordinary Couple, but they sang Something Good anyway. I like the music to that song, but really dislike Richard Rodgers’s lyrics.
-
147%. Who knows what will happen in the next two-and-a-half hours?
-
The Trotter series is amazing.
-
The production was fine with some 20 or so great sounding nuns. The Maria was tall, taller than all but one in the cast. The Von Trapp had a bad voice but had good chemistry with Maria.
-
Great on 147%.
-
Good night, all.
-
I have all of the Trotter Sondheim recordings. I found them in a music store on Ventura Blvd, many years ago.
-
Does anyone have Anthony de Mare’s “Liasons- interpretations of Sondheim’s music?
Unusual and innovative.
I really like it.
Probably not everyone’s cup of tea, but worth a listen, IMHO.
-
Finished writing episode three. I'll futz and finesse it tomorrow, then on to episode four - I already know what that one is, so hopefully it will write itself quickly.
-
Oh, those Michelle Nicastro recordings. SO good.
I loved her albums so much.
Loved her as a person, too.
I get emotional listening to her.
-
Need some ACTION, baby. Three percent.
-
After the Ball sold out -yay!
I enjoyed working on that one…First Kritzerland release, I believe.
Great, talented and super friendly cast.
-
Vibes for lots of action on the campaign.
Now would be good.
-
Fading fast.
Looking forward to seeing the final Indiegogo numbers.
I predict excellent results.
Good night, all.
I was an Indiegogo contributor for that! :)
-
That was actually the first project I supported on Indiegogo.
-
I had contributed to a few on Kickstarter before that, but that was my first on Indiegogo.
-
And even though I can't play it, I also bought the songbook. :)
-
A phone call would have killed them?
Did they at least give you lettuce or mayo?
No, and I would have been upset had they.
-
George, that makes 2 of us!
-
I bought the songbook too.
It’s a challenge!
-
Vixmom, how was the concert?
I have always loved Chicago, and The Beach Boys.
Or, I guess the “newly reconstituted” Beach Boys.
-
Were there fireworks afterwards?
-
I bought the songbook too.
It’s a challenge!
Just reading along with it is practically a challenge! ;D
-
I also ripped the CDs to MP3s and reordered them into the songbook order so I could follow along straight through without having to go back and forth between the individual titles and the index.
-
By the way, Vixmom, Freddie’s BK book arrived mysteriously late…2 weeks or so.
I have a feeling that his book and your cd from Texas, ran off together.
I can’t prove it, but I’m suspicious, oh, yes, I am suspicious.
-
Be back tomorrow.
‘night, everyone.
-
One final perky perk up for our final hour.
-
Freddie's book didn't arrive late - his mail person didn't tell him it had arrived - for two weeks.
-
One final perky perk up for our final hour.
That's a pretty cool perky perk, BK!
-
If I just hadn't purchased a car, I'd seriously consider forking over the $5000 for the secret Sondheim archive.
-
If I just hadn't purchased a car, I'd seriously consider forking over the $5000 for the secret Sondheim archive.
We could always work out a perky payment schedule :)
-
Campaign is closed, new notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
We did have two small last minute contributions but they didn't change anything. Still, appreciated.
