Well, you've read the notes, the notes crossed the finish line and were 147%, and now it is time for you to post until the crossing the finish line 147% cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: ACCOMPLISHMENT!
-
Congratulations BK on your wildly successful indigogo

Can anyone explain what this sentence means?
"His brown T-shirt hugged his chest and his biceps like Saran Wrap"
My answer

Pretend it’s brown

One guy got in at the last possible second - he'd already taken the first memoir three minutes before. Then we closed but he somehow got in and got the second memoir and the total went up to five bucks under 29,500. So, we were only 500 away from 150%. What will be interesting, as it's happened before, is if anyone contacts me about something they missed. If that happens, then we just do it via PayPal or one of those kinds of platforms that I never remember the name of.
-
Topic of the Day: I'm pretty excited to get everything, and it's always fun to get the name in the CD perk, but I'm especially excited about getting the Sondheim hand-corrected music, the Harvey Schmidt Art, and the Piano/Conductor's score for Take Me Along. ;D
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Sorry I couldn't make it through the wee hours, bk, but CONGRATULATIONS on a most wonderful conclusion to the Indiegogo campaign!!
-
:)
-
Good morning, all!
-
I am not feeling well. Sme of it's poor sleep, and I'm sure soem of it is anxiety over my financial situation, and I suspect some of it's depression over no work. I'm sorry to be such a downer. Now that the cats are fed, I'm going back to bed.
-
And gloriosky! What good news about the Indiegogo campaign!
-
I did have several dreams, but at the moment I remember none of them.
-
Good morning to everyone . Have a great weekend and feel great
-
Congrats on successful indiegogo campaign.
-
The last minute perk of The Ten Commandments multi music package was something I would really of liked but was unfortunately out of my current financial range.
-
Vibe vibes vibes for Elmore
-
I was very pleased to obtain Lost in Boston I, II and III
-
And I just snagged IV from ebay
-
Though I would have rather gotten it from the gogo had it been available
-
I also picked up a few other cds
-
But it’s too early for me to remember which
-
I’m not even sure why I’m awake
-
I should remedy that situation
-
Good morning, all.
-
Congratulations on a wildly successful campaign, BK. Accomplishment is truly a good word for the day.
-
I’m pleased with the promise of all my purchases, though I think the Ira Gershwin is the one that means the most. S’wonderful, indeed.

Off to attend a family bar mitzvah.

Off to attend a family bar mitzvah.
You can’t practice your JOMO if you attend, Singdaw. Doesn’t work that way.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Congratulations on the 147% completed campaign!
-
Congrats to MR BK on his INDIEGOGO campaign!
-
16% in one day!
-
I got some Cds......I guess my favorite perky perk is the autographed Edward Albee book!
-
Thanks DR IRIS.....
And on to closing night.....and then we strike the set....it's a monster...a two level thing they built for OLIVER! and they wanted me to keep it for JOSEPH....but I said NO....because we can't use the turntable with that eyesore up.....

So hahaha.....take it down!

Congrats on a glorious finish to the indiegogo campaign!

BK - I gave the new book to Skip.
-
Congratulations on the "accomplishment" of a huge finish, Bruce!!
-
I am feeling a bit groggy today. I slept enough, I think, but I'm already thinking about taking a nap.
-
I treated my cousin Butch, Debra and her husband Rob to dinner at Christine's Farm to Fork in Edgefield last night.
I wanted them all to order whatever they wished for. I thought they would go for steaks, but they all ordered pork chops instead. Truth to tell, they were very thick and beautifully fried pork chops.
My choice was one of the two specials: Sauteed chicken and vegetables over rice with sriracha sauce. It was tasty.
Everyone seemed happy with their meals. For dessert, Butch and Rob had house-made peach ice cream. I had the house-made strawberry. Debra was too full for dessert.
-
Today is ahead of me. My porch man has yet to return to repair downed screens. I expected him last week, but no show. If I don't see him today, I will ask him if he ever plans on honoring his pledge to do it. Am tired of not being able to use my porch because of bugs flitting around my head.
-
So hahaha.....take it down!
Wasn't that the big Tony number from Paradise square - oh, that was Burn it down.
-
I'm up, I'm up - maybe five hours of sleep, maybe not - more about that later.

Hmmm, are you sure she’s really a Debra?

I don’t believe the words “I’m too full for dessert” have ever passed my lips.
-
Bruce, congratulations on 147%!

Onward!

Three!
-
I'm the type who normally would go for a steak, too, but when I read DR Ron's post about the thick and beautifully fried pork chops, I immediately wanted to have a thick and beautifully fried pork chop.
I grew up having pork chops for dinner occasionally at home, and I think I made one or two attempts at cooking one in my earlier years of living on my own. I liked those at home okay, but they weren't anything special, and my own was probably an overcooked dried out disaster. I haven't even thought about doing it (or even grilling some) in years, nor have I ordered one anywhere.
Hmm. What to do, what to do? Oh well. The next time I pass through Johnston, SC...

Hello, everyone.
-
Big, BIG, no, GRANDE size CONGRATS to BK!!
-
Down at the river, watching boats and life speed by.
That sounds lovely. Lucky you. I'm doing laundry.
-
Well, I received an e-mail this morning from someone who missed out on a perky perk they really wanted, so we did the deal outside of Indiegogo and it brought us up to exactly - drum roll - 150%! So, we did get there after all.
-
I picked up some herbs yesterday from my old Chinese acupuncturist. She told me that lots of people are cancelling their appointments because they're sick with Covid. But it's relatively mild, she added. I watch the numbers on it, but it's the first I've heard of any real cases in my area.
-
Britbox brought back an old series that I wasn't familiar with: THE VICE. It stars Ken Stott, who I've liked in everything I've seen him in. I watched it last night and thought it was quite good.
-
Congrats go, too, to Jrand for his successful production. It seems like it just flew by.
-
Weekend vibes to all.
TTFN.
-
I have dragged myself out of bed to feed the cats. They're having salmon, shrimp, and seafood, courtesy of Fancy Feast.

Nice!
-
I slept a bit, and Thatch and I watched the BBC DVD of Silas Marner starring Ben Kingsley and Patsy Kensit. I read the book sixty years ago, and I've never seen a video or film version, but I cried like a baby, justy as I had around 1962.
-
Back from an omelet and teeny-tiny side salad of the Caesar kind, the mail place (nothing), and then killing time at the nearby mall.
-
Kritzerland show is announced.
-
Doing a two o'clock Zoom to fix a script problem in the screenplay - just requires adjusting a handful of thing, timeline-wise.
-
I think that (Silas Marner), To Kill A Mockingbird, and Gone With the Wind are the only books I remember reading in my teens that reduced me to tears.

I see that Caroline Catz is also in it.

Glad you caught the plot hole now, bk, and not later at a more inconvenient time.
-
The bar mitzvah came off really well. Kleenex were consumed. Followed by a lovely lunch. Followed by a long and satisfying nap.
-
You can’t practice your JOMO if you attend, Singdaw. Doesn’t work that way.
Don't I know it!
-
1-5-0 is a very satisfyingly round number. Huzzah!
-
We’d go down to the river…
Very pretty. Is your mother with you?

At the mall now trying to beat the heat.

Gratuitous Post #101!!

Yes.

We’re waiting for Twelfth Night to start. There’s a breeze, but it is hot.
-
This production appears to be set in New Orleans during the jazz age.
-
At the mall now trying to beat the heat.
Is it working?
It did not work well.
-
We’re waiting for Twelfth Night to start. There’s a breeze, but it is hot.
Enjoy the evening and the breeze.
-
The pre-show is a four-kid version of The Tempest. Very funny.
-
:)

I think that (Silas Marner), To Kill A Mockingbird, and Gone With the Wind are the only books I remember reading in my teens that reduced me to tears.
I’m a big ol’ crybaby. To Kill …, Pere Goriot, The Yearling and Where the Red Fern Grows are among the titles that caused a tear or two.
-
I srill cry at some 19th century novels, especially Balzac (still) and the ending of Proust.
-
Guess those French got something in the eau.
-
Dozed off for over an hour. Really need to sleep in tomorrow. Thinking about food.
-
I need to sleep tonight.

Twelfth Night

Twelfth Night
Nice.

One more
It looks like a fun show.
-
I have never recovered from my nap. I'm still in a daze. And still tired.
-
FIVE.
-
I think I will be off back to bed before too long.
-
Did watch Flower Drum Song, and got through half of The Matchmaker.
-
The funny thing is, Paul Ford as Vandergelder has a very similar speaking voice to Walter Matthau, who played the role in the musical film.
-
I hate that.
-
'night
-
Sometimes, the dog really DID eat your homework.
-
Good night, DR Jane.
-
Sometimes I ponder: just what ARE fiddlesticks, exactly?
-
Oh - they're violin bows.
-
Makes sense.
-
I'll bet they'll make a Hallmark movie about violin bows.
-
Just because.
-
OK. That's it for me, too.
-
Good night, friends.
-
Goodnight Singdaw!
-
Good night, all.

Cool!
-
Watched some of a DB Cooper four-part piece of nonsense, but thankfully I slept through two-thirds of it.
-
Mucho Congrats to BK!
-
I was hoping to see who would be the first to try the new Broadway Wordle. No one?
-

I watched (I have no idea why)a documentary called IMPACT AFTER THE CRASH. Wow! A school bus full of mostly teenagers from a church group is hit head on by a drunk driver. The bus explodes in flames and 27 are killed. It is truly horrible to watch, but I am glad that I watched it. I think it should be required viewing by everyone convicted of a DUI.
-
If I had watched this while I was still drinking, I could have saved the cost of treatment. I would have stopped cold turkey.
-
There were some uplifting moments.

It was something that will stay with me.

Hello, Tom.
-
Today, the family went to my mom's for dinner.
-
She made spring rolls with shrimp ( :P not a fan), some stir-fry rice (very good), and tilapia.
-
For dessert, we had some not-quite-defrosted coconut cream pie.
-
It was all pretty good...even the not-quite-defrosted coconut cream pie. ;)
-
We played one game of Phase 10.
-
I forget who won, but it wasn't me.
-
After that, I went to my sister's and we were thinking about making a small fire in her fire pit so that we could make some S'Mores, but we ended up not doing that.
-
So, I went home, but got stopped by my friend Shelly and her cousin Shannon who live one building away from me in the condo complex.
-
We chatted for a while and determined that we were all hungry (it was long enough after my family dinner) that Shelly and I drove through Taco Bell and brought back food for all of us.
-
We ate and chatted and discussed the possibility of seeing Silent Sky at Tacoma Little Theatre next weekend.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
And I don't care who knows it.
-
Have I mentioned that the new notes are up?
-
Shelly's cat need to have her tail amputated next week :( and that happens to be scheduled on the only day that Shannon would be able to see the play...so we'll see how it all works out.
