Well, you've read the notes, the notes were the best notes of our lives, and now it is time for you to post until the best cows of our lives come home.
-
And the word of the day is: LAUREATE!
-
Topic of the Day: Star Wars (aka Episode IV: A New Hope), Close Encounters of the Third Kind
-
Fine choices.
-
Good morning, all!
-
DR singdaw, my TV service was restored around 10:30a.m. I paid the billas soon as I sat down with my fierst cuppa coffee, arounde 6:30a.m. Then S[ectrum had an outage in my area and my service died around 5:30.
-
After giving the cats their nigtly treat, I played on my laptop for a whiler andf then read more of Bitch in a Bonnet. I checked the TV issue, but service was still out. At 7:30 I brushed the cats and went to bed at 8:00, an hour earlier than usual. I slept well, and I think it did me a world of good.
-
The cats are very strange about getting a brushing: Annabelle loves it, but shje has really become the perfect lap cat; Thatch is either hellbent on a good brush or he can pass, mostly he loves it; Stella, however is problematic/ She tries to eat the brush, she fights me, and yet once I'm brushing A * T, she wanders around my bed, brushing against me and encouraging me to pass the brush over one of her sides. Her hair is so long, she needs a really good brushing more than the other two.
-
My London friend Martin sent me some work for a concert in the fall, so after kitty cleanup, I will begin my prep work: check my paper supply, print out the pages he sent me, and spend some time looking for music.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
:)
-
I will be much happier once this property issue is settled and I get a contract from Indiana University for that ballet.
-
This apparent deletion of texts by the Secret Service is really bothering me.
-
:)
Words fail me!
-
Understandable, DR elmore3003. And a good night's sleep doesn't hurt, either.
-
I just realized that last night in my posts I misspelled Endeavour.
-
Oh well!
-
This apparent deletion of texts by the Secret Service is really bothering me.
I agree. The biggest problem with all of this attempted Jan 6 coup, is that Democrats are earnest but they're wimps. I think Merrick Garland was a wrong choice for Attorney General; Biden apopointed a pussycat, and the administration needs a rabid fangs-bared wildcat to search out and take down every collaborator in Trump's coup. Obama pulled the same "let's be gentle and suyperior" crap when the Democrats should have destroyed as much as they could of the lies about Afghanistan.
Given McConnell's hypocrisy in denying Obama's pick for the Supreme Court and then doing a 180 for the last replacement, Amy cornfed Barrett or whatever her name is, should be a reason for her impeachment.
-
As much as Jiim Jordasn reminds me of a gorilla throwing his feces at people and I'd like to see him in prison for life, I wish the Democrats had that gusto about winning and revenge.
-
Thursday. I don't like what we did last night - so we will fix that tonight.....those that show up.

-
Good morning, all.
-
I would have to do likewise and list a bunch of composers, or maybe categories of films, and then name a couple of favorites from each. A daunting task for this early in the day...
-
I forgot all those great Ennio Morricone scores, like The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.
-
So far, this heat wave is incredible. We're looking at FIVE consecutive days in the 90s, with a couple of those being high 90s. In past times we'd get three here, maybe a fourth. Of course I know that's nothing in comparison with the normal climates a few of you live in. Regardless, I fear the earth is raging at us.
-
Don’t come for a visit anytime soon, DR ChasSmith.
-
Check.
-
Good morning!

I don';t know if it's raining yet, but when I went to the basement, I would swear the temperature was over 100 degrees F ands the humidity was around 99.9.
So, I got back to the apartment ,all hot and sweaty, laden down with several packages, and as I wrestled the walker into the apartment, that damned Annabelle ran out into the hall and vanished. I had to empty the walker before I could go back out, I had to pick up the broken-down carton the cats had tortured into a bad position while I was out, and I was oissed I had to go back into the heat and humidity.
-
I finally got into the hall, and I could hear Annabelle's screams ringing about the building. I didn't know what floor she was on, but I thought she would be in front of 4C or 2C, so I pushed the walker onto the elevator andf pressed 4. And there she was. As soon asshe saw me, she ran into the lift and we rode down to 3. As soon as the doors opened, she ran down the hall to our apartment and docilely walked inside.
As Stella tried to bol past us. SDhe didn't succeed, and Annabelle and I are inside for the rest of the day.

DR Jane, I can’t remember if you bought a clothes steamer yet, but Amazon has a Hilife version on sale today.
-
Is Hilife a good steamer? I should have written down the name of the one in the hotel.
-
So, I totally forgot and put frozen blueberries in the microwave to thaw and add to yogurt for my breakfast.
-
Fortunately I made egg salad yesterday and had that for breakfast instead.
-
The blueberries are now thawing on the kitchen counter. I need to buy fresh or remember to put more out tonight so I can have them tomorrow morning.
-
It will be at least a month before we the replacement model for our microwave arrives.
-
Back from a quick trip to Shop Rite, where the Sparkling Ices just went from $1.00 to $1.25.
A 25% jump, just like that. Nice. Now why can't I do that?
Of course that's just one little example of what's happening everywhere, on everything. Except for gas, though, which has dropped from -- what was it, $4.99 or thereabouts? -- to $4.05 over the past couple of weeks.
-
Back from the library with nine movies in tow. Downton Abbey and The Batman among the lot.

Forgot to include Stavisky on my list. Who composed that? I can hardly remember.
-
The painful kink in my lower back seems less today, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
-
We have a lot of thunder going on this afternoon. When these storms finally end, I hope the humidity will also be over.
-
The project manager of the fence company is coming for a meeting in the morning.....the project is supposed to happen on Monday.
Time will tell.
-
Fortunately I made egg salad yesterday and had that for breakfast instead.
Mmm...egg salad. Yummy. :)
-
I was thinking about going to the local Meconi's Subs (https://www.meconissubs.com/) for lunch today. I just may get one of their egg salad subs. ;D

I never have bread.
I eat a fraction of what I used to eat, and even then I had been eating less bread to begin with.
-
I purchased more macadamia nuts today. Without bread and reducing other foods to keep my glucose levels good, I am losing too much weight.

DR John did you stop reading The Girl in His Shadow?
-
Or LAMBADA, the Forbidden Dance.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Oops, I just missed Singdaw, who has been exceptionally witty lately.
-
I rearranged my CDs today. It wasn't part of my cull plan and I didn't get rid of any. But they had gotten rather untidy and then I saw some CD storage boxes I liked on Amazon, so that became today's project. This is rather like a painting project where once you paint one room the others look shabby. I have lots of mini projects in mind.
-
Vibes to all.
TTFN.
-
DR Jeanne enjoy your nicely arranged CDs.
-
DR John did you stop reading The Girl in His Shadow?
I did. Meh.

Waiting for dance class.

Thanks for the warning not to begin it.

Is anyone watching "Troppo"?
-
I really like Thomas Jane in this, not sure about the rest of the cast/show.
-
It is based on the novel "Crimson Lake".

The newly revised Benjamin Calypso turned out very well. Just need to fix a few measures in the middle.....Song of the King will take more work....but we have some time.....
-
And now three days off!
Except for the appointment with my doctor and the meeting with the fence guy.
I hoping my fence goes better than DR RONPULLIAM's porch screens.

Gladioli post 102!

Back to the second half of Thief.
-
Tangerine Dream did the wonderful score for this film and also did some top-notch work for Sorcerer.
-
It’s too darn hot.

Wishing you all a good evening.

Good night, friends.

Went to the mail place and picked up the Pepcids, then got stuff for hamburgers at Gelson's.

Came home and made two burgers - very good and very calorie-friendly.

Got some grapes but they are not good.

Watching a Spanish limited series, but it's thirteen episodes - that's thirteen HOURS - don't know if it's worth that much time.

Wrote about half of episode six.

Committee Hearings are done until September.
It's amazing how emotionally upset I got listening to some of what was said.
Everyone involved in the January 6th incident is a traitor and should be treated as such, IMO.
-
Your mouth to God’s ear, DR Ron.
-
Starting The Batman, which I forgot was almost three hours long. It’ll take several nights.
-
Let’s get off this page.
-
Before I start fading.
-
One more.

Five!

Good night, all.

They're rebroadcasting it, so I'll watch that now.

Yesterday, I was supposed to have lunch with my dear friend, Sharry, but when I got up there was an email that both Sharry and husband, Micheal have tested positive for CoVid.

That is the second time this week that I have gotten up early, only to have my plans cancelled.

BK, did you say you were watching an eight-part series about D.B. Cooper? Last night I watched one episode of Brad Meltzer’s DECODED, and they managed to wrap the real solution in 44 minutes.
-
They're rebroadcasting it, so I'll watch that now.
KING-TV (NBC) carried the whole thing live at 5:00.
-
Page five? Really?
-
Surely we can do better.
-
And don't call me Shirley.

New notes are up.

I watched highlights of the hearings.

And now...
-
The whole of them are on YouTube so I'll get around to all of it.

BK, did you see post#136?
-
What a relief - page six.
-
PAGE SIX DANCE!!
-
Whew!
-
Post 136 - yes, I was watching the eight-part series - which was horrible.
