Well, you've read the notes, the notes mentioned writing episodes nine and ten, and now it is time for you to post until the episodic cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: INTERCALATE!
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Happy Friday to all who celebrate.
-
Someone wrote a song about sisters. I wonder if anyone ever wrote a song about cousins?
-
For me in recent years, part of the dining out experience has become previewing the menu online, so that I have worked out a lot of my decision-making in advance.
-
Good morning, all!
-
Something evil hath me in thrall. Yesterday, like BK, I felt wonky all day. I thought for a while that it was anxiety over the Ohio property, but by 7:30 last night, after I brushed the cats, I knew there was something going on that I cannot explain. I did seriously wonder if I were dying, so I decided to go to bed and die there. By 8:00 I was in bed with Annabelle on the pillow next to me. I awoke around 10:30 to find Thatch had joined us. Then I slept on and off, waking about every two hours. When Annabelle abandoned me and woke me by walking over me, I know it was close to 5:30. I checked the alarm: 5:24, so I turned off the alarm and went back to bed. Around 5:45, Stella tried to get me up, Annabelle came back to lie down with me, and Thatch stopped by just to check in. I decided to get up, thought about it, and went back to bed, I finally decided to rise around 6:15.
-
So, I'm up, but I'm rather dciscontent about being out of bed. I may go back shortly.
-
I wish I had a pool, like DR vixmom; I would jump in and stay there for a while. That might perk me up.
-
Good morning, all.
-

The Patty Duke theme song and Kissin’ Cousins come to mind.
-
BK, send our best HHW wishes to Richard Sherman.
-
I did not go back to bed. I did some computer researches and kitty cleanup, wich was interrupted by a play session with Annabelle, who climbs into the bathtub and encourages me to pet her, scratch under her chin and rub her tummy while she rolls about and dances her little polka step. She's so cute.
-
Good morning.
Good morning.
I slept the whole night through.
Good morning.
Good morning to you...and you...and you...and YOU!!

Friday!
Today I shall work on the new pig version of The Benjamin Calypso.
-
I enjoyed the notes today.....and MR BK's reminiscence of talking with Mr Walter Graumann - who also directed many episodes of Peyton Place and the classic movie - second only to Citizen Kane - The Disembodied starring Miss Allison Hayes. He also directed her in at least one episode of 77 Sunset Strip - not to be confused with the other series Surfside Six.....
-
.....in Miami Beach!
-
Yes please let Mr Sherman know how much his music is appreciated even here in the hinterlands - it is played often on the computer and on those things called CDs.....and even records!
-
I loved the MOW!

DR TCB here are a couple of paragraphs that talk about what I was mentioning....woke wise.
Carlyle and Zaks spent several days at the Lincoln Center Library for the Performing Arts researching Willson’s documents. Zaks notes that Willson — who wrote The Music Man’s book, music, and lyrics — “must have written over 35 drafts of it, and we looked at most of them along the way.” While staying true to the show’s spirit of good-natured satire, the director says, “We needed to identify what made sense then that might be confusing today.”
New lyrics were provided, for example, for the giddy dance number “Shipoopi.” As originally written, the song opens with the line “Well, a woman who’ll kiss on the very first date is usually a hussy,” and contains morsels of advice, such as “Squeeze her once when she’s isn’t lookin’ / If you get a squeeze back, that’s fancy cookin’.” Musical comedy veterans Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman were enlisted to craft lyrics more in keeping with post-#MeToo sensibilities.
-
Pardon me while I break wind all over that argument.
-
DR Singdaw I have read all of the Louise Penny books and enjoy them very much.
-
I am very happy that Johnny Mathis was wonderful
-
Good -- (oops) -- afternoon, all.
-
Had to go for my "wellness" exam this morning, and I am back and ready to eat something.
-
Not that I couldn't have eaten something earlier.
But I don't usually eat first thing in the morn', anyway, so here I am, ready to put away a horse.
-
I hope BK's visit and repast with Richard Sherman is as lovely and wonderful as I'd imagine it to be. I certainly hope he is doing well.
-
Good oops spelled backwards is spoo doog. Just sayin’.
-
DR CHAS SMITH is looking for Mr. Ed.

This is very interesting, and I need to look at Mr Dominic McHugh's book about Willson, becauase I would swear the Willson collection is at the Juilliard School.
-
Pardon me while I break wind all over that argument.
There used to be a time when people simply staged the show, no fuss, no muss. For the past twenty years or so, it's all futz, all mess.
-
I'm up, I'm up - maybe seven hours of sleep.
-
Good afternoon!
-
Have a wonderful time with Mr. Sherman, BK!

Continued property selling vibes for DR elmore!
-
I shall shortly be on my way to lunch.
-
So, the Internet is out at my work, but they're not letting us go, yet. :P
-
Something happened, and our IT people and Comcast are going to where "the event" happened, and if it can be fixed quickly enough, we'll
have to be able to finish our work day. ::)
-
And we can't just choose to leave now and use vacation, because it wouldn't have been "pre-approved." >:(
-
So, I'm at lunch now.
-
Friday evening greetings! I don’t have much to say, but wanted to make an appearance.
-
I hope they either fix the problem or send you home.
-
This day has contained too much angst to suit me.
-
Elmore, I just got out of work and have settled in at African Village Restaurant where I am enjoying a bottle of Asmara, an Eritrean beer. Maybe you need an ice-cold beer.
-
Work was a Friday fright.
-
I would have run screaming from the building, but I was listening to Sandy Bainum’s It Might Be Fun. Great songs. Very pacifying.
-
Where’s Singdaw to take us to page four?
-
Of course, we have to get to page three first.
-
Details!
-
I’ve started listening to Geraldine Brooks’ Horse.
-
I was interested because it is partly set in Lexington, Ky., where I went to college.
-
But the book is getting depressing.
-
And I think I knew it would be bad.
-
But I had to let it get its hooks in me.
-
Let’s move on …
-
Three!
-
I hope they either fix the problem or send you home.
I was able to use vacation, so I'm outta there. ;D
-
I need to make a dish for a church potluck. Any ideas?
-
Lobster mac and cheese.
-
I only say that because I want some.

Chili?

DR GEORGE is taking a snow day.
-
Off to my mom's.
-
I am home on Friday night and Birdy Barnum is pleased and confused.
I will be gone for the next THREE Friday nights.....and Thursday and Saturday as well..... To say nothing of Tuesday and Wednesday.....
-
But there is one Monday, August 15 - that I will be at home.
-
Lobster mac and cheese.
You and my sister think alike.

Back from a wonderfully wonderful lunch with Richard Sherman and daughter Vicky. Vickey's now reading the Kritzer trilogy and she loves them. Richard seems very happy and in good shape after his recent operation. His short term memory is a bit worse, but the minute you remind him of something he remembers instantly. I gave both of them a copy of Tis the Season to be Murdered.
-
We went to some Eyetalian jernt off Beverly Glen just south of Mulholland in a little strip mall of high end nernst. Richard had spaghetti bolognese, Vicky had fettuccine alfredo, and I had a small Caesar and then penne with sausage in a light pink sauce. Food was really good but not as good as the conversation. We laughed, we reminisced, and had a grand time for almost two hours. Then, after, I came right home.
-
Sounds wonderful, BK.
-
Dinner!
-
Lobster mac and cheese.
I want! I also want someone to buy me a Power Ball ticket.

Hello, everyone.
-
Glad to hear today's lunch went well and Mr Sherman is doing better.
-
Today I visited the nearby salad/soup/sandwich/juice bar for the first time since Covid closed them down. I pass by there a couple times a week and would crane my neck to see if they'd reopened. No sign. They send out emails, but they only mentioned ordering ahead of time and specifying a pick-up time. For office workers with rigid schedules that's fine, but I want more flexibility. It seems they reopened last year, but never mentioned it!
-
Prices are up, of course. I ordered my beloved carrot juice with lemon. Soooo good! The salads and sandwiches are sold by the pound and on Fridays they give a prize to anyone who can guess the cost of their salad/sandwich. I guessed $6.60, thinking lettuce doesn't weigh much, but I'd forgotten that I also bought a sandwich and potato salad. It was actually $14.89! I've never won the prize--don't even know what it is--but I've come close a few times.
-
I'm glad they've reopened, especially since so many eateries have closed permanently. I'll return.
-
Hi, John G. I was glad to read that your mother's home and doing better.
-
I haven't Wordled yet today.
-
TOD:
I want to watch the Woody Allen movie BK mentioned the other day. Maybe tonight, maybe another night.
-
TTFN.
-
DR JEANNE that sounds like a fun place.
-
So what did you decide to make DR JOHN G?
-
Thanks to MR BK for the luncheon report.
Is Mr Sherman ever recognized and approached in public? Does he enjoy that - or is he a more private person?
-
I made sloppy sloppy joes today.
I call them that because every time I make them I have to clean the counter, the sink, the range, and sweep & mop the floor when I'm done.
-
Birdy Barnum gets very confused when I lip synch.....
-
No one has ever recognized him in any of our meals.
-
Sounds like a wonderful time, BK.
-
Departing for the airport very early tomorrow morning.
-
Good night, friends.
-
So what did you decide to make DR JOHN G?
I decided to make my favorite potato salad. I have been jonesing for some, so I decided to make extra.
-
I'm trying to finish off Montana Story while the potatoes boil. It's very hard hitting in spots, and there's a horror story involving a horse. Perfect companion to the book I'm reading in which a horse that loses a race dies. Just the uplift I need.
-
Potato salad is made.
-
Now it needs to set.
-
Gratuitous post 99!
-
The price of the potatoes has not risen. But the bags are a half-pound lighter than they used to be.
-
Started a lame western called Gun Fight. All too predictable. Thankfully it’s a short 69 minutes.
-
69 minutes is a looooong time.
-
Good night, all.
-
What the Hell?
-
Only half wat thru page 4!
-
Sorry, but this is bull shit.
-
Where is everyone today?
-
It is too hot to think!
-
Which doesn’t excuse my winter posts.
-
I am having a serious breathing problem at the moment.
-

Okay, you laughed, but you didn’t laugh and laugh, and then laugh some more.

Macaroni salad.

I may have to start calling you Guinea, because it sounds like you can be somewhat of a pig!
-
I am very sorry.
-
I am not going to make it.
-
Post wise, not breathing wise.
-
I had to open the slider.
-
I needed fresh air.
-
Even if it is hot air.

1 Guest! Come help me.
-
The inability to get your breath is really scary.
-
Even when you are using oxygen.
-
I guess that must be what it’s like to have CoVid.
-
It is suppose to be 96 in Puyallup tomorrow.
-
Hopefully only 92 on Sunday.
-
No BK to harangue me.
-
I guess the late-night George has just forsaken us. Boy could we have broken a bunch of records had several days of this week not plummeted our numbers. Better write some notes.
-
No one to take names of the missing.
-
Of course no vixmom till Monday.
-
Probably no singsong until Sunday.
-
No Jane.
-
No Tarzan.
-
I watched a Ken Murray home movie tonight on Hulu.
-
Oh Hell.
-
I am done here.
-
In the future, I think I will check the post count before I sign in.
-
Good night.

Sounds like a delightful afternoon was had by all!
-
Where is everyone today?
After I left work (early), I went to my mom's for our usual Friday game of Phase 10.
-
We played outside and it was very warm...but my mom had a couple of fans, so we weren't too uncomfortable.
-
This was the temperature in my bedroom tonight:

You can't place the blame for that just on me! :o
-
All of a sudden, I got a bad case of heartburn. :P
-
I need to get some Tums in my stomach.
-
That usually helps, and fortunately, I have some.
-
Hopefully, it'll help this time.
-
And now...
-
...since we're so close...
-
s i x ! ! ! ! ! !
-
Whew!

And if anyone's interested, OperaVision (https://www.youtube.com/c/OperaVision) is now streaming the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma production of Giuseppe Verdi's opera ERNANI (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ol18PZTs_QQ) for the next six months. :)
-
Pepcid works much better than Tums.
