Well, you've read the notes, the notes were fun in their way, and now it is time for you to post until the fun in their way cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: GOOFBALL!
-
I am extremely nauseous right now - I pray that that orange chicken wasn't tainted.
-
So yesterday after work, I went to my mom's and played about two-thirds of a game of Phase 10. I couldn't even play a full game because I had to go to rehearsal for The One-Act Play That Goes Wrong. It's still a lot of fun! After rehearsal, we had a cast party at pug the director's house. I stayed until about 12:15 or so, then came home. I'd just been ketchuping on Facebook, and now I need to sleep.
-
Today, I'm going to my sister's for a bit because her former mother-in-law (who lives right next door...and they still get along very well) is having a garage sale, so I'll just go and visit. After that, I have rehearsal from 1:00 until about 3:00 or 4:00. After that, I might go get a burger or at least dine with my friend Shelly, and then I'm going downtown to usher for Hedwig and the Angry Inch again.
It's going to be a day!
-
Good morning to all
-
Hope everyone has a great weekend and good health
-
Good morning, all!
-
Another mediocre night of sleep. When the alarm rang this morning, to the cats' dismay, I slept in for a bit, but sadly not as much as I wanted.
-
Texas governor, dumbass Greg Abbott, just further screwed up a lot of Latino lives by seding a busload of immigrants to Manhattan, leaving the problems with NYC social services and Mayor Eric Adans to clean up.
I can't decide if I hate him or Florida's Ron Death Sentence the most.
-
This morning I need to schedule my ride for Monday's Access-a-Ride interrogation. Last year's happened, I think, in June. The ride to West 13th Street was easy. The ride home was over 90 minutes late, I'm hoping this Monday's goes smoother.
-
Kitty cleanup is finished and the Access-a-Ride for Monday is booked. Now to make the bed.
-
Good morning!

Wordle: 3/6
-
Saturday! Working on the computer - but that's all.
I have posted the new dance combination on the JOSEPH Facebook page....we shall see what folks make of it.
-
Here is DR singdaw's bio on his slide:
singdwa is currently on probation for bouncing bad checks at liquor stores around the county. He is an unlicensed driver tooling around in an unregistered pick up truck. He enjoys walks in the rain and wears a brown belt while wearing black shoes.
-
Miss Doris Day is a great favorite in these part.
I really like her Doris Day Hits of the 60's cd......but I have a few of her recordings that include her big movie hits and of course her Christmas LP.
Movie wise:
Pillow Talk, Storm Warning, The Man Who Knew Too Much, Tea For Two, Lullaby of Broadway, Send Me No Flowers, The Thrill of It All, and Love Me or Leave Me.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Our temperatures at 90 or above are back, and continuing for several more days.
-
BJ's gas price was $3.92 yesterday, haven't seen it today yet.
That's down over one US dollar ftom its peak several weeks ago.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
I am pleased as punch about my new bio!
-
How pleased punch can be, I can't really say.
-
Darn it! Last night, we were just 1 post shy of Page Nine!
-
Re: all the sleep interruptus here at HHW:
-
The New York Times review of Mary Rodgers's book, Shy, makes it sound quite intriguing.
-
It is very dark here, and we've got heavy rain and thunderstorms passing through.
-
It's not nice to fool Mother Nature.

Let's move on.
-
TWO.
-
Stop worrying where you're going
-
Move on.
-
Housework finished for the day. I miust go work on an overture.
-
TOD
The Man Who Knew Too Much
Pillow Talk
The Pajama Game
I don't think she ever sang anything I didn't like. My earliest memory of her vocals is "Secret Love," but I loved her sixties songs, like "Everybody Loves a Lover" and "Please Don't Eat the Daisies,."

I think you can click it to embiggen it.
-
DR John I hope you enjoyed your marathon.
-
DR Singdaw I liked the owl.
-
DR Singdaw it seems paxlovid is easy to get these days, if you test positive.
-
From DR TCB:
She said my insurance denied payment for them. I asked her if there was still five tests per box. But, she said “Oh no, there is only one test per box!”
I thought they all had two per box.
That is nice she asked you if you were aware of the price.
-
Our temperatures at 90 or above are back, and continuing for several more days.
It is currently a warm 72 degrees heading up to 93 degrees.

The menu from the Warner Brothers commissary, circa 1941.
One of my favorite sandwiches is on there, something I have never seen in a restaurant before, minced olive.
-
I think you can click it to embiggen it.
And it was still a bit hard to read.
-
I loved Doris Day in everything she did.
-
First pick would be The Man Who Knew Too Much.
-
Pillow Talk.

There is a CVS 24 hour pharmacy right next to the urgent Care clinic, and they’re almost always well stocked . So I was lucky there
-
I’m feeling much much better. I’ve had 5 doses of the meds now
-
It here weather outside looks delightful
-
Vixdad told me I should sit out in the garden but I fear getting too much sun and going back to work looking like I’ve been on vacation
-
Has the Pax left anything like a metallic taste in your mouth?
I know some people have reported something like that. It's obviously not anything extreme.
-
The menu from the Warner Brothers commissary, circa 1941.
I could eat very happily there.
Yes, very happily. All day.
-
Glad you’re feeling better, DR Vixmom!

PAGE THREE DANCE!!
-
And now, I must hie myself out into the local environs of Tumwater and Olympia.
Have a good day, all!
-
DR Singdaw, thank you for posting that menu.
I have been discussing it with some online friends.
We were all intrigued by the menu item “Chop Suey Ice Cream Sundae”.
-
DR George, what’s the secret to your never ending supply of energy?
I wish I had just 50%.
😊
-
DR Jeanne, I completely agree with you regarding the evil that is Alex Jones.
No punishment is enough.
-
DR Singdaw, I was so interested in that NYT book review of “Shy” that I bought it immediately on Amazon.
-
Mary Rodgers doesn’t hold anything back.
And her “trial marriage” to Stephen Sondheim…fascinating.
-
The first 4 chapters are available to be read on Amazon for free at the moment.
-

I am very pleased. Vibes for a speedy recovery!
-
Vixdad told me I should sit out in the garden but I fear getting too much sun and going back to work looking like I’ve been on vacation
LOL, I am sure they will believe you have been sick.

Not that I’ve noticed, but I was warned about it

That is what GERD, extreme reflux, does.

DR Laura, I’m outraged at the behavior of your daughter’s boss.
Vibes that Sandra avoids getting sick.

Thank you

I believe it.
-
DR John must be preparing for his audition for “So You Think You Can Dance”.
-
At the least, having a Carvel soft ice cream cone would make me very happy.
-
They say that Carvel ice cream can cure anything.
I believe that’s true. I’ll have to see if Vixdad feels like taking another little drive later on

Vibes Vixdad stays covid free!
-
DR Jane, is Carvel soft serve ice cream available where you live?
There was one just down the street from my grandmother’s house, growing up in Baltimore.
Loved the cones, especially dipped in chocolate.
-
And the flying saucers.

Luckily there are two of them, each about a mile away from our home
-
I just realized I miss Laura’s post from yesterday.
I agree that was ridiculous behavior. Did she at least wear a mask?
-
When I went in on Wednesday I stay masked the whole time , which was really only 3 hours before I went home
-
Vibes Sandra is fine
-
DR Vixmom, August 19th is National Soft Serve Ice Cream Day.
-
Carvel ice cream will be delivered at no charge if you order at least $15 online.
-
This has been a Public Service Announcement.

Must head out to water the 30+ plants on my balcony.

We have had them other places we live but not here. I like my soft cones pure. I used to buy birthday cakes and have them made up with double chocolate chrunchies, YUM.
-
Oh, our first Carvel's was in the Valley across from a high school. I forget which one. The owner had a delicious, not on the regular menu as he said it wasn't Kosher, vanilla with a caramel swirl ice cream.

After eight hours, there is a break. I haven’t danced all that time.
-
Cherry and butterscotch Dilly bars for all!
-
After eight hours, there is a break.
Don't get a blister, Mister!
-
I aspire to be an artist when I grow up.
-
Watched a very odd documentary, "Strad Style," about a fellow in the middle of the corn fields of Ohio that makes violins. It could be billed as a sequel to "Grey Gardens."
-
Very glad to hear that you are feeling better, DR vixmom.
-
Had the leftovers of last night's dinner for lunch today, and it was every bit as lip-smackingly delicious.
-
The weather is going to preclude a walk today, I think.
-
Not that it takes me much of an excuse.
-
I'm up, I'm up - almost ten hours of needed sleep. Still a bit nauseous but it hasn't moved beyond that thankfully.
-
After eight hours, there is a break. I haven’t danced all that time.
I would hope not. Are you staying cool?
-
Today is apparently national root beer float day. And also national mustard day. Who decides these things?
But I don't recommend celebrating them both at the same time.
-
Five!
-
The weather is going to preclude a walk today, I think.
We just returned from a walk. It is 84 degrees and most of our walk was in the shade.

Vxiomm was not cast in the show from the auditions, but nevertheless started coming to rehearsals. She shared a script with an actress who later dropped out due to unforeseen circumstances and so took over that actress' supporting role. As of now she is playing the female lead and the director is looking cautiously over his shoulder.
-
Very hot here....but that's okay.
It's August!
-
I think I shall see what is on television.
-
I am getting very nervous over the possible results for our recent election.
-
The top two winners in the primary will run against each other in the final election. It isn't determined by party as we can vote for one person from any party.
-
There is the incumbent Congresswoman who is mostly a Republican but did vote to impeach Trump the second time. She is currently in second position.
-
There is the Democrat who is leading.
-
And then there is the Republican running with the slogan "America First". Yup, he is a scary Trump supporter with ties to the Proud Boys. At the last report he was only 257 votes behind the incumbent.
-
Vibes please he does not catch up to her.
-
I want a cherry Dilly bar.
-
Hold the mustard.
-
DR George, what’s the secret to your never ending supply of energy?
I wish I had just 50%.
😊
Oh, my energy does end...I definitely NEED to not help for a while after too much helping. ;)

Good afternoon.
-
Daughter is okay so far, but we wouldn't expect her to show symptoms this soon. I told her to skip church tomorrow, just in case. Boss Lady doesn't like wearing masks and hasn't worn one through the entire pandemic. No one else in her office does, either. Except Daughter.
-
When DR John said a marathon dance, I thought of June Havoc.
-
I'm glad to hear Vixmom is feeling better.
-
Episode ten is finally done and I've already finessed it and done rough recordings of the three new songs and sent all of that off. We made another casting decision, too - there are four regulars in this show - all four are now cast.
-
Nice photo DR John.
-

I am so sorry for her. It is one thing not to wear a mask when you feel ok, another to deliberately infect someone >:(
CONTINUED VIBES THE MASK HAS KEPT COVID AWAY!
-
I had to put on pants and go see why the church alarm was ringing. It was the cleaning crew. The first time they have set off the alarm.
-
I am glad it wasn't anything serious. What if someone had broken in, would it have been safe for you to check it out?
-
I go over during the daylight. Anyone who tries to break in would run off by the time I got there.
At night I request the police be dispatched and meet me there. That's pretty rare.
-
Six!

This morning I need to schedule my ride for Monday's Access-a-Ride interrogation. Last year's happened, I think, in June. The ride to West 13th Street was easy. The ride home was over 90 minutes late, I'm hoping this Monday's goes smoother.
Can you ask for a certain driver when you call?
