And the word of the day is: LUMINOUSLY!

The cast list for the new webseries sounds very exciting.
Yes. It does, indeed.
-
I have to usher for Winnie the Pooh this morning. So, I’d better get moving.
-
Because Pooh waits for no man.
-
Rosh Hashana begins tomorrow night.
-
A sweet and happy New Year to all!
-
Good morning
-
Welcome to New York BK
-
I’ll be heading into Manhattan this afternoon to meet some friends to go see Alan Cummings in “Burn”

Tomorrow afternoon we’ll meet again to see Cost of Living

Today I must iron the freshly laundered church linens
-
Then go to church to set up for tomorrow’s service
-
Then go to the market to replenish the orange juice, milk, bread, egg and cold cut supplies
-
Oh and sugar
-
And cheese
-
And ice cream
-
I should probably make a list
-
Tomatoes for Vixdad
-
Oh and I need to get gasoline
-
And cash from the ATM
-
But first, I think, a cup of coffee
-
Ah, coffee in the recliner
-
Now to Wordle
-
Ooh page two!

Good morning, all.

Wordle in 3, Phoodle in 5. Since no one else does Phoodle, let me just say this: Ponzu? Really?
-
A big welcome to BK — to New York, NY and to cooler temperatures.
-
I sort of hate to ask it, but do you have a basket?

I sang that

As a woman, I can understand the desire to perform the male roles in 1776.
They are wonderful fun parts and I love the songs.
(Of course I have a particularly soft spot for this show as it was my very first Broadway show and I spent July of 1976 as part of the crew for our college production in which my then boyfriend played Caesar Rodney and most of the cast and crew spent the performance month sharing a 4 bedroom 1 bath rental a few blocks from campus cooking out over a charcoal grill in the large backyard and having after show meals at the Liberty Diner….but, I digress)
However, I have
-
Forgotten to finish the post before hitting “post”
-
However I have zero desire to pay good money to see this version
-
Last week I was at New York Theatre Workshop and saw “American (tele) Visions
-
I highly recommend this play be avoided
-
I saw this Into The Woods production at Encores before it moved to Broadway
-
I must admit to surprise at seeing it on your “see” list, Elmore, because I thought you hated the show with a passion.
-
I quite enjoyed it.
-
But, IMHO, it was not as good as the original.
-
But that again might just be my personal bias because of the memories attached to seeing the original less than 2 months after Vixdad and I married, taking with us both sets of our parents
-
I was similarly surprised, DR vixmom.
-
Cats and books... what could be better?
-
I thought you hated the show with a passion.
Nice secondary Sondheim reference!
-
;D
-
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln...
-
We're getting on with things.
-
We are making hay
-
We are charging ahead
-
We are on page three.
-
Do I hear four?
-
Finished All Boys Aren’t Blue. Recommended. But he’s preaching to the choir here.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE:
The Music Man
Is it still playing? I thought it had closed. Or did it merely announce its closing?
Yes. I would avoid.
-
Off to usher.
-
This snippet on Twitter made me smile
Priceless:👇
Judge Dearie: When you say "the President", do you mean President Biden?
Attorney: "No, President Trump."
Judge: Let the record show Mr Trusty was referring to former President Trump, now a private citizen. Please continue
-

Nice secondary Sondheim reference!
Why yes, that was entirely intentional….

Still playing until Hugh’s contract runs out
-
Final performance is Jan 1, I believe?
-
The recording was out yesterday. I have not listened yet. I'm a little bit scared.
-
MR BK welcome to our time zone!
Vibes for a good day!!!!
-
I am making a batch of chicken and noodles - the first of the season.
Since the weather is so nice, I decided to cook.
-
From DR George:
There were slots available on Saturday the 22nd, but I will have a performance that night, so I figure, even though I had almost no reaction to the previous shots, I shouldn't chance it just before a performance. ::)
Wise decision. Our neighbor had his first reaction to the new shot. Fortunately it was only in his arm.
-
From George:
During the sign-up process, Kaiser indicated that they only have the Pfizer updated booster available.
I have been reading that is the norm.
-

Bruce, Vibes your time in NY is a big success!

I do Phoodle and got this one in 5, but only by sheer luck.

I must admit to surprise at seeing it on your “see” list, Elmore, because I thought you hated the show with a passion.
I do hate the show, but it's my friend Rob's and I would see it for his sake, and my friend John Bell is now conducting it.
-
Three will not do.
-
Oh, no.
-
Three must flee.
-
Four is more like it.
-
I'm up, I'm up - about six and a half hours of sleep.
-
Must go buy toothpaste and stuff.
-
Winnie the Pooh was underattended. Only about 450. But the kids enjoyed it. The Sherman Brothers music was fun. The show was an hour long and wore out its welcome by the time it was done.
-
The VIP ticketholders paid an extra $75 to get one photo with two puppets (Pooh and Eeyore or Tigger and Piglet). Everyone had to mask up for the photo. They also got a cheap poster.
-
Good afternoon!
-
Welcome to the Eastern Time Zone, BK!

Wordle: 4/6

I just made an appointment to get our flu shots next week.
-
Just the flu, nothing else. October is probably a better month to get them, however, I usually have fewer allergy symptoms in September and prefer not to worry I might be sick-lol
-
It's still Saturday.
-
The stepmother in this Cinderella is channeling Joanna Lumley’s Patsy from AbFab - and not well.
-
ALW’s Cinderella. Finally made it to act 2.
-
Power ballad time.
-
A power ballad in an Andrew Lloyd Webber musical! What is this world coming to?
-
I think that I shall never see
A poem page as lovely as a tree page three four.
-
A lull.
-
Good afternoon.

From DR Laura:
"Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?"

:))
-
Back from a dinner with Sami, mom, and the nice fellow who plays her BFF.
-
Nice.
-
In other news...
-
Trump is blaming Biden for The Phantom of the Opera closing on Broadway.
-
:)
-
It was another perfect evening for a walk.
-
And extra lovely as there were many sailboats on the river.

Trump is blaming Biden for The Phantom of the Opera closing on Broadway.

-
'night
-
That sounds delightful, DR Jane.
-
Well, at least we can get off page four.
-
Five.
-
What is this page five malarkey?
-
Big day for BK tomorrow.
-
~~~PRODUCTION VIBES~~~ for BK and Company!!!!!!!
-
Good night, friends.
-
Nice night of dancing, my last before vacation.
-
Had a nice dinner celebrating birthdays with some friends. The place was called The Purple Garlic. Guess what ingredient was front and center?
-
Now starting Deli Man. I will be hungry sooner than later.
-
Too nervous to trust that the new notes will post on time, plus I'd have to start the new topic in the morning, so I'll post 'em right at midnight and then hit the road to dreamland.
-
Meantime, a few more postings would be lovely.
-
They just would.
-
I do wish it were a little warmer in the room here.
-
Got through the first half hour of Deli Man. Good stuff. And yes, I’m going to bed hungry.
-
I still haven’t finished Cinderella. But I’m in the added material at the end.
-
I did like one song, Far Too Late.
-
That’s pretty good for one of his later shows.
-
I didn’t like anything in Stephen Ward or The Woman in White.
-
I haven’t really liked anything of his since Sunset Blvd., except School of Rock.
-
Babbling, but posts.
-
Time for bed.
-
Good night, all.
