Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoken the first day of shooting, and now it is time for you to post until the first day cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: SUBLIME!
-
Good morning, friends. Again. :)
-
And now - Dino at the piano.
-
First day's activities sound quite exciting.

If I win the lottery, wouldn't it be fund to acquire a tiny Titian?
-
It would be a long shot, though, as I don't buy tickets.
-
But one can still hope.
-
You know Hope. Hope is the thing with feathers.
-
Okay, I think I finally figured it out. Posting now, it said it posted at four - WEST COAST TIME. So, what I really have to do is schedule it at 3:00 in the morning for it to post at midnight WEST COAST TIME. So, we'll give that a whirl.
-
The Hope diamond is the featheriest of all.
-
Sounds like a good plan, BK.
-
It just occurred to me that other than The Brain from Planet X, for the most part your NYC days have been few and far between since the inception of HHW and your daily blog.

Ditto.

No opinion on the new Music Man, other than I am not much of a Sutton Foster fan. I find her a bit robotic, as is she’s always waiting to deliver a punchline.
-
I'm up, I'm up - about seven hours of sleep - better.
-
I shall now be on my way to the second day of shooting.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Congrats on the shoot proceeding so splendidly from the get go.
I wouldn’t want to make a hasty judgment, but it sounds to me like somebody here knows a few things about planning. :)
-
Yesterday we sitzed and we probed, and everyone was pretty thrilled with it all. I got me a good bunch of musicians (it calls for six in addition to me.) We'll have balance issues to work out, but when isn't that ever the case?
-
Traffic was miserable this morning.
-
After probing, we had a very nice dinner break hosted by a few of the cast and a couple of the moms. But we were so exhausted through our tech run-through later (piano only) that no one could do much of anything right. It was almost comical, but we were also too tired to laugh. I collapsed into bed and had a fairly solid sleep punctuated by three or four vivid and very weird dreams. Still tired now, and I shall take it easy through much of the day.
-
I have nothing kind to say about almost anything I'm hearing about The Music Man.
The Rock Island thing is disgusting. Adding drums is what second rate HIGH SCHOOL productions do when the kids can't feel the beat and pull off those rhythms and train effects themselves. This is even worse, in my view, because this REVISAL is dumbing shit down for the damned audience, and I'll count that among those changes. They apparently felt today's audiences needed something more ear-catching than a bunch of salesmen talking in rhythm. And here we are.
-
Tell us how you REALLY feel, DR ChasSmith.
-
;D
-
ps - agree with you, 100%.
-
Last on page one.

First on page two.
-
Well, I'm back!
-
Yesterday really wore me out, so aftyer I made the bed this morning, I lay down. That was 8:20, and now it's 10:00.
I put the pans away when I fed the cats, Now I need to scrub the stove top and get rid of all the schmutz.
-
After standing most of yesterday, my legs do not want ot work today. The laundry is out.
-
Wishing al my Jewish friends a good Rosh Hoshana.
-
I have less interest in the new The Music Man recording than I do in a Debra Messing autobiography.....
My fear is that those WOKE lyrics will now become the standard.
-
Happy Birthday, Craig!
-
It was so exciting reading about Filming Day One!
Continued vibes to MR BK & Co.
-
I also enjoyed reading about DR CHAS SMITH's theeder day.
-
Nice cool day here in Indiana - and that's okay!
Supposed to be the same for the rest of the week!

Elvis and Jesse continue to be the two quietest parakeets in the history of the world.

Is it really 5 o’clock somewhere? It needs to be here.

Good morning.
-
I walked this morning after dropping my daughter off at work. It quickly got warm (92 F) and I didn't have an extra bottle of water with me.

True, except I think DR Jrand wanted the chatter to keep him company.

How long were you able to walk? 92 degrees in the morning is too hot for me.

Is there a margarita calling your name?

Was it Irving Berlin who said "Let Me Sing and I'm Happy"?
-
I wonder how long it takes those birds to feel like they're "home"?

A couple of weeks?

A year ago this week I was in Seattle and had the chance to meet up with George. Fun times.

And rainy days, otherwise I might have dashed up there to see you.

Are we getting closer to page 3?
-
Boo for page 2!
-
Let’s have some page 3 action
-
Soon, I promise…
-
Three!
-
Time for some page 3 malarkey.
-
That chicken stew didn't turn out too badly.
-
I just finished the hardest part of this overture I'm scoring, so I'm 2/3 through it. I'm so blind I spend half of my time rewriting notes so they look more like they are on thev line or space where they belong. I cannot wait for this cataract surgery.

What??
You're going to have to elongate that so much more if you ever aspire to work in the Medicare office.

;D

:(
-
Hurricane Ian seems to be shaping up into one BAD BOY.
-
Yes DR JANE I would love to have the chatter......they do seem to be happy.
Elvis was grooming Jesse's head on Saturday and sometimes they chatter over who gets to stand in front of the big mirror.....I am hoping a couple of weeks makes them comfortable.
I was spoiled by Mr Personality Birdy Barnum......
-
MR BK should be in the eating portion of his day by now.
-
News of Ian has me worried about my Gulf Coast friends.
Understandably.

You are obviously the winner, winner.

And parmesan.

Really noticing the increased hours of darkness the past few days.

A local professional theater troupe has mounted a well-reviewed production of Merrily We Roll Along.
-
I don't know, even with all the re-writes, the problems with the show have ever been fully resolved.
-
I feel fortunate to have seen the original Broadway production.

Watching the last of Jean-Luc Godard’s Weekend. It’s too long by about 20 minutes, but the satire still bites.

Six minutes left and this movie has become unbearable.
-
Pretentious bilge. Glad it’s over.
-
And I'm done for tonight.
-
They're going to work act 2 scene 1, and I'm not in that, so I'm free to go...so I shall. :)
-
Good night, all.
-
I'm now home and just relaxing.
-
Traffic was miserable this morning.
Do you think it might have anything to do with BK being in New York City?
-
Congratulations to BK!!
-
Paid $2.75 for gas at Costco.
Couldn’t you get your gas from the chicken just as well?

My dear friend, Kelly’s daughter decided, about six months ago, to pack up and move to someplace new. So, she move to Halifax, Nova Scotia. So, today the first hurricane ever, hit Halifax.
-
Fortunately, she was at Kelly’s place in Toronto, while Kelly was on vacation in Italy.
-
She has kept in touch with her neighbors, so she knows what damages there may be.
-
Does this just remain open until BK gets up in the morning?
-
I don’t know who I am asking the question to, since I am the only person here.
-
Good night. / Good morning.
-
I am back. I haven’t fallen asleep yet, so thought I would comment on yesterday /today’s topic of the day. I guess I don’t quite understand the complete hatred of this revival of THE MUSIC MAN. Is it because of the ticket price? If so, I can understand that. I don’t have a spare $500.00 for a ticket (my date buys his own ticket). I am offended that they are charging it and people are paying it, but it doesn’t make me hate the show. John says he doesn’t like Sutton Foster. Okay, I happen to enjoy her work, but I can accept that. There are a lot of shows coming and going each year on Broadway. So,you like some, and you dislike others. I guess I don’t see why this show is so totally reviled.
-
Oh, and this show holds a special place in my heart. THE MUSIC MAN was the first musical I ever did on stage at Tacoma Little Theatre. I played Tommy Djilis (Great honk!). And I fell madly in love with the girl who played Zaneeta.
-
Good morning, friends.

Hello, 30 Guests!

Do you have pets?

I can read today's Notes.

But I'm stuck in a time warp.
