Well, you've read the notes, the notes were green, and now it is time for you to post until the green cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: ACCENTUATE!
-
I'm up, I'm up - I can't imagine I got more than three or four hours of sleep. I'm gonna need more Sambucol after today's shoot and more Claritin-D.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I had a very strange night of sleep. I was quite restless, and the song "Maxim's" from The Merry Widow kept running through my head. I had several dreams, but I onlyv remember a bit of one in which I was talking to Danny Burstein about /rebecca Luker.
-
Five years ago, looking for love in rthe right place, I walked into a K9 Kastle trailer at Union Square and walked out with a young (10 months old) cat who had personality with a capital P.
It was a warm Satrday afternoon, and I have the clear memory of walking out of that trailer with Annabelle and her carrier, balancing on my cane, and heading to Fifth Avenuer to find a taxi to get her to her new home.
-
I'm very happy the shoot is going so well, BK!
-
So, how many are coming ot Sunday's brouhaha?

I am happy to call Joe Allen and make the reservation for what? 6:00?

Our East Coast majority has certainly dwindled!
-
DR TCB, I think you need to have your pcp get you out of that pain clinic hell hole.
-
Good morning, all.
-
TOD:
Nothing. I’ll be in the air. Do they still show movies and such on international flights?

If you could make the reservation, I’d be very grateful, Larry, I have two closings back to back this afternoon

Are Sami and her mom coming?

TCB, can you get your PCP to call the pain clinic so they can sort things out between themselves?

I may just make the reservation for an estimate of eight people! At 6:00?

Yes, indeed. It's impossible for me to believe that:
1) It's September 30th.
1a) In 2022, no less. Where in the HELL has three quarters of this year gone???
2) We are actually doing this thing. Another op'nin', indeed. Oy! Pray for that baby. Oh, wrong movie.

Sounds like a plan. BK can weigh in later. Then we'll figure out when I should get to DR Elmore's place so that we'll be in Joe Allen at the appointed time.

I bought a Halloween costume at the Goodwill Store.....if I put it on, and someone is here.....there may be photos.

Yes Goodbye, September....
67 years ago today we lost Mr James Dean.
-
Loved this comment from book reviewer ron Charles.
Speaking of immortal novels, Nicholas Sparks’s 1996 bestseller, “The Notebook,” is now a musical at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. (Someone just drove a stake into Harold Bloom’s heart.) Adding musical numbers to “The Notebook” sounds like pouring marshmallow sauce on a lollipop, but I need to be careful what I say because my younger daughter has cried through the 2004 movie adaptation approximately 8 gazillion times. You can see clips of the play here. And yes, of course, it rains on the stage.
(I doubt the link carried over.)
-
Safe travels, John G.
Have a wonderful time!

Happy Gotcha Day to DR Elmore and Annabelle!

Video?? Do you mean those blurbs at the top of the article? There isn't a video having anything to do with us, is there?
(My browser didn't even show me those videos, I had to view the link on my phone. Every single device I have manages these things differently, which is a nightmare sometimes. Too many versions, ad blockers on some, etc.)

TCB, can you get your PCP to call the pain clinic so they can sort things out between themselves?
I have a hunch that this is the way they play it. The girl at the pain clinic, said, "Yeah they bounce you back and forth; then they will suggest hand braces..." I told her they already did. She said next, they will recommend you try going to an urgent care clinic.
-
Last night’s banquet had a dessert table. Excellent chocolate truffles and macarons. Good carrot cake. Weird honeydew panna cotta with a basil, lemongrass and candied ginger gelee on top. Way too fussy.
-
Travel Vibes for John G.!!
-
What is a hinger gelee?
-
I might try an urgent care facility if I knew what I was suppose to say. Do I go in and tell them that my doctor and pain clinic can't decide who should give me pain pills? Or do I go, never mention my doctor opr my pain pills, but just tell them I am in terrible pain? That second one sounds dishonest and makes me look like a drug addict.
-
I am not trying to cheat anyone or lie to anyone. I just need temporary help.
-
Happy Anniversary, elmore and Annabelle!
-
What is a hinger gelee?
A typo on my part. Ginger. Sorry. A gelee is a kind of gelatin soup or liquidy jelly. This was overloaded with those flavors.
-
Good news about the Vixter. Thanks for the update DR Vimom.

-
DR TCB, IMHO, you need to go to a hand specialist.
-
DR TCB did you remind the pain clinic that they refused to diagnose your hand issue? >:(
-
DR TCB I feel bad for the nightmare you are in. I think honesty might be the best situation, except you shouldn't need to go to Urgent Care and I suspect they are always hesitant to give out pain meds :(

Aa couple of years ago I used my debit card for gas, food, lodging on a car trip from NY to Floruda, with no problem whatsoever.
Then we went to buy ice cream cones at a shop in Florida , my card was declined.
I called the bank and was advised it was stopped for possible fraud...that $14 was apparently a step too far

Friday afternoon greetings! Here’s what my sister posted on Facebook earlier:
Just heard from our daughter, Laura. She is safe and well. She just went out to her home, her carport, the roof over her shed, and a bedroom window are gone, but no visible water damage. She is feeling very lucky. The condo where she was staying had 4-6” of water come in through the sliding door tracks. Both Laura and Diane are safe.
We are greatly relieved.

A news reporter in Fort Lauderdale on protecting her microphone.
“A lot of people are asking what is on my microphone. It is what you think it is,” Galer wrote on her Instagram stories. “It’s a condom. It helps protect the gear. You can’t get these mics wet. There’s a lot of wind and a lot of rain, so we gotta do what we gotta do and that is put a condom on the microphone.”

Reservation made at Joe Allen's for Sunday, Oct. 2, 6:00pm for 8-10 people.

LOL, yes.
-
What ;D
You put the mic packs in (dry, not lubed) condoms so that the actors' body sweat doesn't short them out.

Good evening!

Yes we use the condom on the mic pak for protection as well.....it sounds like this reporter was using one on the business end of the microphone as well.
We just call them microphone protectors so the younger performers don't have as much fun......

Good news from all the friends in Florida so far.....

Yes, though it seems Danise is still without power.

6:00 is fine - I'm just over on 48th Street so an easy walk for me.

Had a fun day of shooting. I was frankly petrified that we'd get through the first scene unscathed, but once I chose the location in the club for making an office out of nothing, when I arrived it looked great, especially on camera, and I blocked it quickly and we shot it and finished it earlier than planned and wrapped the entire day thirty minutes early. It was a pleasure working with both Brad Oscar and Karen Ziemba, and Sami held her own with them, which is what we're striving for. We had our seventeen extras, too. The duet was really good.
-
They brought in pizza for lunch - I had two slices but it really wasn't my kind of pizza. After we wrapped and I got back to where I'm staying, I ordered via Doordash from ShakeShack - my very first. I've heard so much about the long lines and how incredible it is and I have to say I found it completely horrible in every way - the sauce, for me, was disgustingly bad, the burger was mediocre, and it was just a big "why" burger for me. Also ordered their chicken sandwich - that was a teeny bit better.
-
Since I've had so little sleep, I'll go plop down on the bed now and see if I can get a couple of hours. We have a later call time tomorrow, so I don't have to get up until 8:30, so that's good.
-
Glad it went well, BK. So it sounds like you didn't have quite enough time to do Sami's solo.
-
I took an online defensive driving course today to maintain my car insurance discount. It seems they haven't updated it since I last took it 3 years ago.
-
Hello, 1 Guest!
-
This cast calls them condoms, too.
In this show we use 14 condoms and 40 or 50 (I don’t really know how many) tampons.
-
I almost never order anyone’s special sauce. It’s very rarely special to me.
I did like the Shake Shack cheeseburgers (lettuce, tomato, onion) but I haven’t had one in several years.
-

DR JANE we put them on the mic paks that the actors wear underneath their clothing......the microphone is a tiny one worn on the ear or in the hair.

DR CHAS SMITH I just assumed that was a video of your show, I don't click on videos at BWW - in fact I rarely go there because it is Pop Up City......and I can never read a whole article without getting frustrated.

I just bit into a chip with a tad too much habanero salsa. My mouth is a’tingle, as I think they say in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.

Having chicharron gorditas for dinner. Don’t know if it’s a good idea, but they are tasty.

Having ice cream. Scoop of guava, another of blueberry
-
I read and enjoyed Wilkie Collins’s Woman White (certainly more than ALW’s musical version). The Moonstone was good. I’m two-thirds through my third Collins novel, Basil, and I find it almost comical in its self-importance. Anybody read any of his other books? Are they worth anything?
-
I have only read The Moonstone. It was one of my grandfather's favorite books.
-
Hello, 6 Guests!
-
Watching Hello Again (2017), the screen adaption of the John Michael LaChiusa musical. As screen adaptions go, it's pretty good. I watched another adaption the other day, The Last Five Years, which didn't get it right in adapting to the screen. It's a tricky business.
-
I also watched the Rent performance, the video recording of the Broadway closing night cast. I found it much more engaging than the film adaption, even though the film had most of the original Broadway cast. More realism doesn't always translate.
-
I suppose I can vamp to the next page.

It wouldn't be the first time.

And it probably won't be the last.

Suitcase is zipped. A pair of shoes made it heavy.
-
But DR John G. is here to help.
-
Help!
-
A scoop of guava notwithstanding.
-
Six!

;D
-
Is your trip itinerary pretty specific, DR John G., or is there some room for latitude?
-
Or maybe you're staying put in one place?
-
I need to start getting rid of the clutter. I found a pair of sneakers under the bed that I haven’t seen in at least 10 years.
-
What else is under there?
-
Or maybe you're staying put in one place?
Largely staying put on Kos with an old friend.
-
That's great!
-
Slept for a couple of hours. Will write notes, schedule 'em, and then back to bed.
-
I loved both The Woman in White and The Moonstone. Armadale was ok.
-
I have been wanting to read Armadale. Maybe it is time I do so.

They’re thrown at Carrie by the other girls who are ridiculing her.
-
Which leads me to say...
Whew. We did it. We opened. And it was better than it had any right to be.
That's not a boast, but a prayer of gratitude to the universe.
-
DR Chas, so pleased that your opening night was a success.
Congratulations!
