Well, you've read the notes, the notes auditioned and had a sequence, and now it is time for you to post until the auditioning cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: EMBLAZON!
-
Great picture in the notes, BK!

~~~Lots of Excellent Vibes and Xylophones for Nice Weather in NYC Until Wednesday!!~~~
Made it to Athens. Only one leg to go.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
~~~CONTINUED SAFE & EASY TRAVEL VIBES~~~ for DR John G.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Sounds like you are going to be quite tired upon final arrival. At least, I find I can never sleep on planes. Your mileage may vary.
-
Jet lag is a b*t@h.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I loved the photo in the notes! Liz Larsen looks much like Sami. I think the only person I did not recognize is the young man next to Walter.
-
~~~LOTS OF EXCELLENT VIBES AND XYLOPHONES FOR NICE WEATHER UNTIL WEDNESDAY~~~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I slept pretty well last night. Annabelle stayed with me, as always, and Thatch and ?Stella avoided me like the plague.
-
I had a very frustrating day of writing yesterday. My eyes were seeing things so poorly thatr I did a pathetic job trying to line notes up on spaces and lines. This cataract surgery cannot come soon enough.
-
Looking at a forecast, it looks like there won't be rain in NYC on Monday or Wednesday. Tuesday, however...
-
I think you mentioned the date for surgery #1, DR elmore3003. In October, right?
-
Nighttime hours have increased by 20 minutes per day just within the past week.
-
In my early Drama Book Shop dqys I was friendly with several of the original Sweeney Todd cast, especially Ken Jennings and Jack Eric Williams, who played the Beadle. He was a wonderful man, an early AIDS victim, and a talented writer. He was working on a musical about Frances Farmer called Mrs Farmer's Daughter.
Monday, Oct. 17. two weeks from tomorrow!
-
On Oct. 2, 2017, I had a colonoscopy. Joshie picked me up at the clinic and got me safely home to my apartment. He also snapped the first photo of me and my new basby, Annabelle. From the photo, I think I'm still drugged out from the anesthesia.
-
I slept in pieces. I also watched four movies:
Marcel the Shell
Love with a Proper Stranger
Viva Maestro about Gustavo Dudamel
Satyiajit Rey’s The Music Room
-
This should tewll you all yopu need to know about this misguided revival of 1776.
And I am yelling you, I'm not going.
-
That is some scary s#&t.
-
Is there a theatrical equivalent of malpractice?
:)
-
Good morning, all.
My aunt, my mother's older sister, turns 90 today. I just called and wished her a happy birthday.
I requested a birthday greeting to be mailed to her from the White House, which you can do online, but she isn't home at the moment, so we won't know if it worked until after she returns home. They recommend that you place your request at least 60 days in advance, which I did.
-
I'm up, I'm up - somewhere around six hours of sleep.
-
DR Elmore, I got your call last night but was at the theeder and couldn’t pick up. I have to make a parking reservation near Joe Allen, then I’ll call and we’ll decide on my arrival time at your place. Probably around 5pm? And yes, I can call when I’m almost there.
Coffee!
So I’ll give you a call around noon or 1pm if that’s okay, and we’ll put this together?
I have things to accomplish for the next 90 minutes. Can you call me after 10:30am?
Good morning.
-
Wow. I had *no* idea that conductor Marin Alsop had played violin in the pit orchestra of the original Broadway production of Sweeney Todd!
-
That is indeed an interesting find.
-
It’s been one of those allergy-sneezing mornings, and I have taken the cure. I’ve popped a Benadryl.
-
Lovely notes and photos!
-
MR BK if you need an audience at the club tomorrow, I have a friend who would love to participate.
If you can PM the address and time, I will let him know. I haven't told him anything about it yet......so just let me know.
-
I hope there are lots of cameras and photos at the HHW gathering this evening.
-
Good morning!
Hope everyone has a great time at Joe Allen!
In 1985 I went with a friend to see A CHORUS LINE at the Shubert Theeder.
Then we went to Joe Allen's just to be "in."
While we sat there talking....the menu was setting on the edge of the table. We obviously looked like the tourists we were because in one of his passes by our booth, the waiter reached behind his back and without missing a step grabbed the menu.
-
So don't put your menu down until you're done with it.....of course an HHW group doesn't look like a group of tourists....
-
I put on my costume because my sister is coming over in a bit.
Happy Sunday and Happy October! There's a new Broadway Radio Show up on the site. Paul Salsini of The Sondheim Review chats about his new book "Sondheim & Me" -- a fun and informative look back at his years long relationship with Stephen Sondheim.
Cool, DR Donald!
On This Day in 1950, the comic strip Peanuts debuted in newspapers.
-
I wonder if BK has ever considered licensing Tonight's the Night and/or Revenge to the BroadwayHD streaming network?
-
Vixmom: You're probably taking the train in, right?
FYI, I made my parking reservation for 5:30 pm at 415 West 45th Street. They automatically extended it to midnight, so we're well covered.
Chas I made my reservation at MPG Parking at 360 w 43rd
There’s a place right next to Joe Allen but there are a lot of bad reviews and talk of bait and switch where they doubled the original quoted price when it came to pickup
I’m going to drive in after all . The place you’ve reserved is a little more expensive for me, but I have a minivan
Hello, everyone.
Early cataract surgery vibes to Larry!
There were a couple things that UCLA didn't tell me after my surgery:
The surgery often causes you to have dry eyes, sometimes VERY dry eyes. There are OTC eye drops available from many companies and they are NOT all alike. I found that I like some eye drops much better than others. You may wish to try several.
About a year after my surgery my vision blurred. This is common and referred to as a secondary cataract or an after-cataract. One optometrist said, "No, it's not a cataract! It's a sac!" They're all names for the same thing. It can be taken care of by a quick laser treatment.
I'm not at all sorry I had the surgery, but I do wish they'd given me a better idea of what to expect. The people who do the post-ops have never had the surgery.
Glad to hear it. It sounds like an exhausting series of flights. Have a lovely vacation.
Looking forward to watching the web series!
I am surprised UCLA didn't inform you of the possibility of either of these issues prior to your surgery.
A very fine evening it was. We need more of them.
A weird bit of personal trivia: I’ve been a contact lens wearer for over 40 years. I love them, but sometimes I’ll be lazy and go weeks or months just putting glasses on instead, which I think is how most of you have always seen me. About a year ago I began wearing the lenses again, but even now, when I see current photographic evidence, I find I'm still not used to seeing myself without the glasses.
DR Vixmom is your +1 going to return to HHW?
My niece’s pharmaceuticals did not help. In fact, I wasn’t able to fall asleep.
