Well, you've read the notes, the notes were out of sorts, and now it is time for you to post until the out of sorts cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: PROFFER!
-
Good morning, friends.
-
The internet is trying to tell me something.
-
Good afternoon, all.
-
A Friday friend.
-
This is damned ridiculous! On Safari BK's notes have not loaded beyond Oct. 2. On Opera, I'm stuck on Oct. 6! This onl;y began with the scheduling issues while he was in NYC, so I don't know if that'ss the source of the problem ort if it's my old computer.
-
I am not amused. No, I am not.
-
My damned bank once again has blocked my debit card on the suspicion of fraud. What is with these fools? I spent 30 minutes trying to pay for an tem only to learn the bank was the issiue.

And now I wait for Access-a-Ride. I need to go to theLenox Hill lab for my PSA test.
-
Good morning, all.
-
omg, another weekend of shows is upon us. How did that happen?
-
This one, and the next, include Sunday matinees. And I'm covering a church service this Sunday.
And we start rehearsals for Smorgasbord! on Monday.
Will I sink or swim? Stay tuned!
-
Another god damned lousy Access-a-Ride day. My ride was scheduled for 8:59,
At 8:21 I called to see ifthe ride4 would be on time, given yesterday's mess. I was tld it was.
At 8:38 I was via text frm AAR that told my ride was on the way. I started packing up and left the apartment.
At 8:59 I called to check on my ride; I was told the car wopuld be there in 11 minutes.
At 9:16, a phone call informed me that the driver would be there in four minutes, so I walked out to the street.
At 9:31 I called and cancelled the rides; my 30 minute waiting period has really pissed me off. I went back into the building.
On top of that, while I waited on the street, a man who was clearly off his meds and sitting on the steps of Holy Trinity church kept yelling obscenities and threatening people, I was terrified I was the one upsetting him and wondering if he attacked me, could I sue AAR for screwing up my morning. As soon as I was back inside the building I called 911 and reported him.

Indiegogo package arrived, all in fine shape. Thanks, BK!
Well, all except one thing that I emailed you about. 8) You'll see the email when you get to it.

Quiet day here.
-
DR Elmore, it's hard to even know what to say about the Access-a-Ride situation.
Such a potentially (and sometimes) wonderful service, but...
If they TRIED to make it operate as unreliably as possible and with the greatest possible failure rate, they couldn't do much better than what they've already achieved.
-
You gotta wonder why this track record hasn't been reported on in some public way.
I wonder if many people just go with it, waiting incredible lengths of time until someone shows up, and just accepting the way it is. And many aren't the savvy online/social media types in the first place...
It's wonderful that they renewed your status for - what was it, five years? That's stupendous. And yet......

Nice! I'm still waiting for my package(s)...patiently. :)
-
I'm up, I'm up - eight and a half hours of sleep - finally. Plus the three-and-a-half from earlier. A few more nights of that would be wonderful.
-
elmore, it has nothing to do with the scheduling and if there were issues everyone would be having them. Clear your cache for each browser.

Well, one of my ballet collaborators is married to someone high up in the Manhattan Trasportation Authoritym=, so tosay I sent Phil, my collaborator, an email of the past two days' events and asked him to forward it to his husband. Phil wrote back that he had done so and that my situation was insufferabgle. I doubt anything will happen, but who knows?

Friday afternoon greetings! Fall is definitely here in SW Ohio - it’s cool and windy and the leaves are beginning to change colors.

If there’s any grant funding involved, the source of that should know how badly it’s working, too.

I really didn't think it did, but I emptied my cache on both Safari and Opera only last week.
-
DR elmore3003 - is there further trouble with the property sale? I thought the funds had been disbursed?

I just refresh the HHW page...usually hitting the F5 key (depending on the browser).
-
I come to HHW in FireFox and I usually just hit the arrow/circle in the browser bar and I have it!
-
Where are the Flying Wallendas when you need them?

That's what I'D like to know!

The Wallendas don't care, though.

They're too busy flying.

I have been watching stock car movies from the 1960's on ScreenPix today.
First up was The Wild Racers with Fabian! He didn't sing in this movie, but it was still okay. Lots of on location shooting in Europe and although art director Daniel Haller was the titular director - Roger Corman had his fine hand in it....
Then we had Track Of Thunder shot in Nashville, TN, and starring Tom[my] Kirk and Ray Stricklyn as hot shot stock car drivers both hot for Deborah Walley - which didn't seem possible as they seemed more interested in each other.
And now we have The Young Racers another Corman film made in Europe with Mark Damon as a news reporter, William Campbell as a hot shot Grand Prix driver, and Luana Anders as his girlfriend..... More racing.....and talking and talking and talking. The assistant director/sound man on this film Francis Coppola got permission from Corman to use a couple of the actors in this film and some of the sets and locations to make another movie during the down time in filming......resulting in DEMENTIA 13.....

I'm sick of dealing with them.

I was just checking adoptable dogs at the Manhattan shelter. It's a Stella dog! I would love to adopt her

Awwww!

Speaking of car movies, DR Jrand72, On This Day in 1971, The French Connection premiered. And I am told (I've never seen it), that it contains a very exciting and iconic car chase.

Now what?

Today, I'd read that on this day in 1982, Cats (https://www.ibdb.com/broadway-production/cats-4186) opened on Broadway, and didn't close until September 10, 2000 after 7,485 performances!

I just saw online that Sara Lee has died. My cheesecake loving heart was crushed to think of this loss. Then I relaxed when I saw that it was the wrestler. No offense. R.I.P. Sara Lee.
-
Good old Sara Lee. Nobody doesn't like Sara Lee.
-
And speaking of sleep...
-
Tomorrow, I will be gone all day.
Having celebrated my aunt's 90th birthday last week, this weekend is my mother in law's 90th. And there is going to be a huge family celebration in southern MN.
-

For a long time, I thought the line was, "Nobody does it like Sara Lee." ::)

At least that misheard lyric makes sense. ;D
-
It is sad as she was only 30 years old.

Thanks, DR Jane!

Since my aunt is in New Jersey, I thought I would send flowers. My first time using 1-800-Flowers.
This is what their website said would be delivered:
-
This is what was actually delivered:
-
Blurry but still pretty. I like to call a local florist when possible.
-
One year Bryan sent me roses in a box from Costco. I have hinted, however, he hasn't sent them again. Not that I am complaining about the flowers he sends from a local florist.
-
DR Singdaw did you call and complain?
-
'night
-
No, DR Jane, I did not. But I probably should.
-
Just a few more.
-
Few.
-
More.
-
Four.
-
Good night, friends.
-
Good morning, all.
-
It’s a bright, but chilly morning on the island.
-
No cats so far. But there was word of a baby last night.
-
I’m juggling books right now.
-
Life Is So Good is due in a few days, so I need to finish it up.
-
I managed to read half of it yesterday. Wonderful story of a man who didn’t learn to read until he was 98.
-
Very inspirational. Also, very insightful into race relations.
-
Gratuitous post 99!
-
I’m running out of speed.
-
And the breakfast bell will ring in just a few minutes.
-
The best part of breakfast is ClaIry’s homemade jams. The cantaloupe is my favorite. Everyone else loves the multiberry with chocolate the best.
-
There’s an apple with cinnamon, a mixed fruit, a really rich strawberry and prickly pear. All good.
-
It’s breakfast!
-
The best part of the jams is that they are low sugar. The fruit really stands out.
-
Yum.
-
Well, enough of that.
-
It’s windy and slightly cool. But we’re headed to the beach.
-
I think the other part of the island will be warmer.
-
Self-portrait with burro.
-
They're too busy flying.
Or falling!
-
Once again, we have an unseemly low number of postings, but I'm getting the notes ready and so I hope there'll be more before I post or this will be our lowest posting day in our twenty-one year history and we're not having that, let me assure you.

This is what their website said would be delivered:
1-800-FLOWERS is one of the worst companies ever, and I can’t believe they are still in business. I always find a local florist near where the flowers are going, and order from them. The local florist always appreciates it, because they don’t have to split the profit.
-
Is it too early in the season to start listening to A CAROL CHRISTMAS?

I am trying my best, BK, but remember I haven’t had any sleep either in the last couple of weeks.
-
Holy Crapola!
-
Still on page four??
-
When did they add these extra 100 posts to page four?
-
One more to go!
-
PAGE FIVE!!
-
One for the money!
-
Two for the show!
-
Three to get ready…..
-
And I have no idea where I was going with that.
-
Did everyone see Lea Michele on GOOD MORNING AMERICA?
-
Lip-sinking on live TV.
-
It was a nice version of “Don’t Rain on My Parade”
-
Are they releasing a CD of FUNNY GIRL?
-
They would certainly make a mint off of her fans alone.
-
This morning I was awake until almost 6:20 a.m.
-
I seem to be getting worse instead of better.
-
I need to type faster.
-
But I would have to have something to say.
-
You can only type Aaaaaaaaaaaaaa for so long.
-
Eventually some thought must break thru this brain of mine.
-
I wonder if George went out with his cast after rehearsal?
-
In my younger days that was the best part of rehearsal.
-
Sorry, BK, but I am done.
-
I know I won’t be falling asleep anytime soon, but perhaps a book will help.
-
Good night, for now.
-
You were valiant in your attempts and succeeded. George, of course, is nowhere to be found. I'm quite certain they're not rehearsing at midnight.
