Well, you've read the notes, the notes had a good sleep, and now it is time for you to post until the sleeping cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: UNIFY!
-
Ron seems to come and go, like Grand Hotel.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I prefer bay leaves to Michael Bay. I don’t know if I have ever seen one of his films.
-
The only Michael Bay movies that I've seen are:
Armageddon (Deep Impact was a better movie)
Bad Boys (the first one...I remember really liking it)
Pearl Harbor
Transformers (the original...I only went because a friend asked me to go, so I went)
-
Good morning to everyone. I hope everyone has a fantastic week.
-
TOD
The Rock
Armageddon
Transformers
-
Last night, I tried from 11:00 till after 12:00, and I was only able to get two things to post.
-
The rest of the time, the words just stared back at me, daring me to unlock their secret.
-
Things seem to be running more smoothly now.
-
Saturday night, I managed to fall asleep sometime after two, and manage to sleep until nine.
-
I thought the insomnia curse was at an end, but here it is after three and I am still wide awake and in pain.
-
Every time I feel like I am going to drift off to sleep, I experience a lightening boor shooting through my hands.
-
Grumble…….grumble…….grumble!
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Sorry, DR TCB.

Good morning, all!

It turns out that I did not successfully turn off the radiator. So, I turned the knob all the way to the other point where it would rturn no more. That seems to have no good, either. Last night I slept - when I did sleep, which was little - under no blankets because irt was too damned warm in the apartment.
-
I turned off the lights around 8:30 and did not get to sleep until some time after midnight. I am not amused.
-
DR TCB, I am so sorry for the hell you are going through.
-
DR George, I hope your lines sessions go well
-
I had a lunch date today with a friend I haven't seen in some time. I've sent an email rerquesting we postpone until after my eye surgery.
-
In two days, it will be the 150th anniversary of the birth of Sir Ralph Vaughan Williams.
Here is a pretty good survey article on the symphonies (with YouTube links):

-
I have no idea who Michael Bay is
-
Today is a day off
-
I have much to do but I just want to sleep
-
Maybe a Wordle will wake me

Well that was unexpected
-
I know the name Michael Bay, but looking at the lists so far, I'vew seen none of his movies nor wish to.
-
One of the things Rob Berman and I discussed at our lunch was the audience for Into the Woods. He says it's like none he's ever seen before in their behavior. He's very pleased with the peroduction and nicely surprised that something originall meant to run one week is noew going into January. I discovered the CD will not be released until December, which I consider marketing bullshit.
-
No word yet from my lunch date today.
-
Good morning, all.
-
To aid in my "crash" last night, I took a Benadryl because I'd had a few sneezing and sniffly spells through the day. And boy, did I need that. Got a pretty solid sleep, and I'm still trying to coax the main dream back into my brain.

I know he isn't conducting now, which I'm very sorry I had to miss, but will he possibly be returning to it before it closes?
-
I'm sucking up coffee and toast like nobody's business, and I'll have some real food later. Got to begin getting my energy up for tonight.
So what's tonight, you ask? You did ask, right?
First rehearsal for our revue Smorgasbord! which is playing a three-week run in December. Because there is no rest for the wicked.

TOD
I know I've seen Armageddon and The Rock, both long ago, and very likely a couple of others. Other than knowing that Michael Bay is the guy who "makes a whole lot of sh+t blow up real good", I have no feel whatever (and no interest in) his movies.
I probably enjoyed The Rock back then since I'm a sucker for Alcatraz movies, but right now I'm remembering hardly anything of it.
-
So let me get this straight.
Gas is finally going down, and at my local place I enjoyed two (2) fill-ups at $2.95/gallon each. Yes? Are you with me so far? And then, just a few days later, it's back up to $3.15?
IT'S GOING BACK UP NOW?
Sorry, I'm completely behind on national and world news. I guess I'm getting all my news at the pump.
-
Congrats to DR JANE on her new millstone.
-
Glad to hear that MR BK got some sleep and had a nice ME day yesterday.
-
Vibes for DR TCB.
As MR BK said - DR RONPULLIAM is around now and then. He posts on BookFace, so I am sure he will be around sooner or later.
-
DR VIXMOM mooned us yesterday!
-
Ii shall have to think about the TOD.
-
DR VIXMOM mooned us yesterday!
admit it, you loved it!
-
We did, DR vixmom! ;D
-
Forgot to offer congratulations to DR Jane on her lofty new perch in the HHW firmament!
-
I am feeling so accomplished this morning!
Breakfast out, followed by gasoline, dry cleaning, grocery shopping.
And when we got home, a flower delivery from the Temple for the DH's work over the High Holidays.
-
It's not as full a schedule as DR vixmom's, but it will do for me.
-
Also planned for today: a walk, a nap, and completing my November mail-in ballot.

DR George I am sorry I didn't take a photo of the tart. Even the crust was perfect.
-
From DR George:
Wow! Jane has reached a celebratory milestone (and a bit more)!
Oh my, I had no idea. Thank you.
-
Thank you DR John.
-
Thanks DR TCB.
-
Line vibes for DR George.
-
From DR George:
With as many lines as this role has, you'd think that the author would make sure that there aren't so many that are too similar.
;D
-
From DR TCB:
Can’t anyone tell me what has happened to Ron? I keep asking, but no one is answering!
Probably because we don't have an answer. I will ask him.
-
Message sent.

Armageddon (Deep Impact was a better movie)
Bad Boys (the first one...I remember really liking it)
Pearl Harbor
Transformers (the original...I only went because a friend asked me to go, so I went)
Having watched the Transformer shows with the kids, and buying more Transformer and Gobot toys than I can remember, I of course had to watch the movies.

The harvest moon tonight is lovely.

I need to get up too late to see our moon from our window. Did you take a photo?

No judgement from this quarter.

Watching the recent Broadway production of An American in Paris. The fluid scenic elements with projections are spare but beautiful.

Thanks, Larry! I'm getting there.

I'm up, I'm up - was up at ten after nine hours of sleep and some mighty weird dreams. I've answered e-mails and may try for another hour of sleep.

I looked over the overture score. I made a few corrections, but I got a little bummed: Thatch's work is the best part of it.
Then I wote the first three pages of the Interlude. At thta point the super showed up and turned off the radiator. I was really grateful since I had turned on the AC.

Wasn't intending to, but just ordered food from Hugo's - pasta papa and a Caesar. Had a Postmates promotion this morning - 70% off orders of 30 bucks or more. So, I got .50 over thirty and so it was no different than going there and having it.

Good afternoon!

Funny, I could see blue and red dots for both Vancouver & Portland.

Not that I would ever have a McFlurry.

Deconstructed lemon pie.

My reaction
I think you liked it :)

I just had a sliver of the fruit marzipan tart I brought home yesterday. It was a bit runny today but still excellent.
-
By how I felt yesterday, and again today after eating it I believe there is way too much sugar for me.

I would do that.
So would I.

Well, I just had very disheartening news on the A & & T book form the publisher holding onto it for the past six months.
-
Oh and belated congratulations to Jane!
Thank you.

Congrats to DR Jane on your posting milestone!
Thank you.

Well, I just had very disheartening news on the A & & T book form the publisher holding onto it for the past six months.
Oh, no. :-\
-
Well, for the first time in almost three years, I have a completely shaved face! :o
-
Just had to share. ;D
-
Is that really me??
-
Who'da thunk it??
-
And now, I'm off to my friend Shelly's...she just lives one building over in our condo complex.
-
She's going to run lines with me.
-
I'll make note of which lines I can't think of right away.
-
Hopefully, they'll be lines that I can write in my prop notebook in which my character is supposed to be taking notes during the show! ;)
-
And now, since we're so close...
-
f i v e ! ! ! ! !
-
Looking good, DR George!
-
Was that decision prompted by your role, or just because...?
-
We decided to splurge on a second meal out. We had lunch overlooking the mighty Mississippi, and gawked at two bald eagles, circling high above, riding the wind currents for about 15 minutes. Spectacular.
-
Well, for the first time in almost three years, I have a completely shaved face! :o
Wow. Did you need to shave for the role? You look great both ways.
-
Hopefully, they'll be lines that I can write in my prop notebook in which my character is supposed to be taking notes during the show! ;)
Clever.

Lovely. Did you take a photo?
-
Weird - one day you feel a bit back to normal, the next you don't. Don't get it. Also dealing with a ton of merde today and that's stressing me like crazy.
-
DR JANE sometimes tarts don't like to be photographed.
-
Bad news from DR ELMORE about The Book.....
-
Lower the stress and less merde vibes for MR BK.

Thanks, Singdaw!
-
Was that decision prompted by your role, or just because...?
It was for the role. A 1950s British inspector wouldn't have had facial hair.
-

Yes, it was for Inspector Craddock.

It's called working the system. ;D

Bad news from DR ELMORE about The Book.....
Actually, not so bad, just surprising enough to knock the wind out of my sails. About an hour later, I got a request for the latest draft of the book, which I just sent.

DR John I have finished reading Littlest Library. I enjoyed the light and entertaining read.
I had a big HA, HA moment when she is given the pair of kittens, as even lazy kittens will chase out mice.
I wanted to tell the author about the mice walking across our den floor with three cats and three dogs sleeping in front of them. One of those dogs was a Siberian Husky who once killed a water rat.
-
Since the book was fiction the mice did leave without even one being killed.
-
DR Jane-
Eagles not shown.

Let's get off this page.

Six!

DR Jane-
Eagles not shown.
Eagle or not, it is lovely. Thank you.
-
We watched Audra McDonald's portrayal of Billie Holiday tonight. Masterfully done. Also quite sad, as it portrayed her in her last months.
-
Apparently I asked Alexa to add something to our market shopping list called "brothers".
I am clueless ;D
-
;D
-
Doorbell rings.
Neighbor: Can I please borrow a cup of brothers? I'm fresh out.

Did you get a response from DR Ron Pulliam, DR Jane?

Good night, friends.

I'm sure he's just basing that on the ones in his neighborhood.

This aftermoon we went up to the beach and waved across the Sound at DR Chas
-
I’m not sure if he waved back
-
It was beautiful

Today at the beach, low 70’s and no wind

I wonder how George did at rehearsal tonight?
-
DR George, I think you look like an English character film actor.
Thanks, Larry!
-
And I'm home. ::)
-
We finally finished tonight's run a little after 10:30 or so.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
And George is here.
-
As am I.
-
The run-through had some very tense moments of forgetfulness...mainly from me. :(
-
This is fact.
-
Not fiction.
-
Oh, look. It's Page Seven.
-
I went through my lines with my friend Shelly today and there were some moments of forgetfulness, but not like tonight!
-
The more you run, George, the more secure you'll be. It's one of the reasons I get shows up on their feet in four or five days, so that we always run the show from that point on.
-
They'll begin to stick the more you run.
-
Now that the first time all the way through with costumes and NO (official) help with lines is over, I think I'll have a much better time during tomorrow's run-though...hopefully.
