Well, you've read the notes, the notes noted that November is taking a hike, and now it is time for you to post until the taking a hike cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: QUIDDITY!
-
My first surgery is now scheduled for January 13. My decision, not their’s.
-
They scheduled it for December 19. I missed last December and Christmas in the hospital and nursing home last year. I decided that I didn’t want to miss a second Christmas in a row.
-
So,in called back and asked that we move it to January.

Good for you, Tom.
-
Last night, I didn't go down a rabbit hole...I just totally zonked out. Lights were on and everything. And now, I need to properly go to bed, so I shall.
Have a good day, all!
-
But before I do...Wordle 529 4/6

Good morning, friends.
-
TA-DA!! ;D
-
DR vixmom: I'm sorry. Condolences on your loss.
-
I am glad to read that DR TCB has a plan now. Hope the pain isn't unbearable between now and January.
-
I remember Paul Horn. He recorded two albums of just himself playing inside the dome of the Taj Mahal, as I recall.
-
It's a pretty amazing acoustic.
-
Good morning, all!
-
Thanks to 12 - non-MAGA, I'm sure - Republican senators, DR singdaw's marriage has been saved. I am very happy.
-
DR vixmom, I'm sorry to read about your cousin's death.
-
Well thank you, DR elmore3003. So am I! The bill just needs to go back to the House and then to the President's desk.
And Justice Thomas can go suck it.

~~~STRONGEST LARGE AND SMALL MIRACLE VIBES & XYLOPHONES~~~ for BK!!!!!!!
-
DR JohnG, in 1990, I wrote several vocal arrangements for a wonderful album of movie songs from the 1930s. I*t included "Sweet Marijuana."
-
~~~STRONGEST LARGE AND SMALL MIRACLE VIBES & XYLOPHONES~~~ for BK!!!!!!!
Ditto!
-
That "Sing Before Breakfast" album is not on iTunes, but the song certainly is in various versions. I'd never heard it!
-
That musical era is such fun.
-
It really is hard to believe that we're here at the end of November.
-
I see that John Y is releasing a Lionel Bart tribute album. I don't know any of his theater scores other than Oliver!
-
Can we get to page two?
-
You're darn tootin'!
-
It just takes a few little words
-
And just like that,
-
Page Two!

PAGE TWO "SOMEONE SPILLED THE BEANS" DANCE

Good morning
-
I have nothing of interest to say
-
Actually I have nothing if no interest to say either
-
So I guess I’ll just send vibes to everyone that needs or wants them

My goodness. Parker Stevenson is 70?!?

Where has the time gone?

Wednesday morning greetings! To continue catching up on health screenings that I put off during the pandemic, I’ve scheduled a colonoscopy for tomorrow. The breakfast I’m about to eat is my last solid food until tomorrow afternoon.
-
DR John G, I’m sorry to hear the lasted about your mother. Vibes and prayers for her…
-
DR Vixmom, condolences to your family…
-
Perfect s**w shoveling weather.
-
Housework this morning has been difficult. Too many pains and unfortunate spills and messes. I wish I were wealthy enough to afford a maid.
-
That "Sing Before Breakfast" album is not on iTunes, but the song certainly is in various versions. I'd never heard it!
There were maybe six albums from Shadowland, a small independent LA-based label. I worked on every one but the three Kern albums.
-
The other three. They turn up von eBay and Amazon sometimes.
-
I see that John Y is releasing a Lionel Bart tribute album. I don't know any of his theater scores other than Oliver!
He only wrote the lyrics for Lock Up Your Daughters, based on Henry Fielding's 18th century comedy, Rape Upon Rape. I think the musical libretto improves upon Fielding's play. How can you not love a musical with a character named Mrs Squeezum? Her big song is "When Does the Ravishig Begin?"
-
I see the new Bart album includes nothing from Lock Up Your Daughters. Damn!
-
Good morning, all.
-
I want all of those albums, Elmore. Wow. What covers. What titles.

Thanks for the background, DR elmore3003.

Twang and Maggie May are on iTunes.

Check eBay. One of my favorite tracks is Ann Morrison singing "I Love to Walk in the Rain" on Sing Before Breakfast.
-
Good morning!

Condolences to you and your family, DR vixmom.

Oh my, yes!
And I just got a reminder about the consultation on Dec. 5 for my own!
-
Which I really need to reschedule. These next three weeks are going to be HELL, schedule-wise.
-
Going there in a handbasket.
-
In a New York minute.
-
Thank you, DR George.

~~~STRONGEST PROCEDURE VIBES~~~ for DR Ginny!!!!!!
Here's to the ladies who lunch.
They're having egg salad.
Good luck. I was glad we had ours before the pandemic. I still put off having several invasive checks for cancer until the end of last year. Waiting that long was scary since I had symptoms.
-
DR Ginny how long has it been since your last colonoscopy?
-
Condolences for DR VIXMOM & family.
-
Important envelope vibes for MR BK.
-
I also love those album covers and titles that DR ELMORE posted.
Keep Your T Shirt On!
I'm late today.....had to do shopping and banking and then my sister came by so I just got here.
I did cook a steak in the air fryer.....I have to work on the timing. It was still a bit pink for me.....and I had added two minutes.....so next time I shall try adding four minutes.
-
DR Ginny how long has it been since your last colonoscopy?
Twice as long as it was supposed to be…
-
Thanks, everyone, for the procedure vibes. I’m just ready to be done with it.
-
DR Ginny how long has it been since your last colonoscopy?
Twice as long as it was supposed to be…
Mine will end up being about a year and a half beyond what it was supposed to be.
-
I'm up, I'm up - just about eight hours of sleep.
-
Helper coming at noon.
-
Four!
-
Procedure vibes for DR Ginny!
-
Condolences to DR Vixmom!
-
I’m tired.
-
Still no word on my biopsy, which was two weeks ago today.
-
Has anyone read Joan Is Okay?
-
I think I've mentioned my 97-year old friend Charlie, whom I met as a possible fund raiser for the recording project that's fallen apart. He's become a very dear friend. I last spoke to him on Oct. 22, and he was curious about the cataract surgery and eager to buy the A&T book when it was published. I just called him and spoke to his stepdaughter. His health is declining, and she gave me her number to call later for more information.
I suspect this is the end of my friend.
-
My sympathies, Elmore. Our friends are precious beyond measure.
-
That is very sad news, DR Elmore. Very sorry.
-
I’m playing a funeral service Friday morning, and the family has requested one of the hymns be “On Eagles’ Wings”.
Neither the pastor nor I know what it is (though I haven’t begun my real search yet), but I’m wondering if anyone here knows of it. Apparently he’s found lyrics online, but not a clue as to music.
Thanks so much for any possible help on this.
-
I know the song. I think it’s in the Lutheran hymnal. Does thst help?
-
https://youtu.be/MvpjxfWrjzY
Here’s a version
-
Thanks! And it looks like a couple of people in an organists group can supply me with the music. They said it’s in the Catholic books as well.
-
“On Eagles’ Wings” is also in the newer Methodist hymnals.
-
Procedure vibes for DR Ginny!
Thank you, DR John G. I have relocated to our upstairs for the time being.
-
DR Ginny how long has it been since your last colonoscopy?
Twice as long as it was supposed to be…
I know you will be glad to have this done and not have to be concerned about it. My last one I waited an extra year because I needed to find a new doctor.
-
GOOD RESULT VIBES FOR DR GINNY AND MAY THE PROCEEDURE GO WELL!
-
Christine McVie of Fleetwood Mac has died.
-
Good afternoon.
-
Vibes for John's mother. And the whole family.
-
I'm sorry for your sad news, Vixmom.
-
I'm in charge of setting up for the Christmas party at church on Saturday night. They may not like my taste in decorating the sanctuary, but the fellowship hall will look awesome. I hope.
-
Back from the mail place - three screeners and an important envelope, as well as a little Godiva holiday package from dear reader FJL and Skip.
-
And now I can relax until our stumble-through at four. I COULD eat now, but I think I'll try to wait.
-
Has anyone had these Velveeta mac-and-cheese shells?
-
Has anyone had these Velveeta mac-and-cheese shells?
Are those the one that someone is suing over because the instructions on the package were misleading?
-
I want the day to end.
-
I want page 4 to end, too.
-
One will happen before the other.
-
Five!
-
Yes, another frivolous lawsuit alleging that the prep time trumpeted in ads is not accurate. And they'll probably settle and give her more money than any of make in a year or more. That's for the microwave cups. I have a box like Kraft, where you boil the pasta and then add the sauce.
-
I want the day to end.
I want it to be noon tomorrow.
-
The Procedure can save your life.
It is an major annoyance but what price can we place on peace of mind....or a piece of mind as the case may be.
-
Sad news DR ELMORE.
-
Wow those Lutheran Catholic Methodists have ALL the songs!
-
The wind was very cold today. I almost lost my hat!
-
I am reading the Chad Mitchell Trio book that arrived today.
I am in the second chapter. I am enjoying the story - but I don't know who told this man he was a writer.....it's a bit of a slog.
I am hoping things pick up.
-
Still no word on my biopsy, which was two weeks ago today.
I didn't want to pester you and ask again. Have you called or checked your medical results in your online account?
-
Has anyone read Joan Is Okay?
It is okay ;) It is a fairly short book.
-
I'm in charge of setting up for the Christmas party at church on Saturday night. They may not like my taste in decorating the sanctuary, but the fellowship hall will look awesome. I hope.
Is there any chance we can see a photo once you are done decorating?
You lost me at velveeta.
How much time difference are they talking about?
-
What happened to just complaining to the company and getting a coupon for a free item.
-
I want the day to end.
I want it to be noon tomorrow.
Not eating is the easy part compared to the prep. I feel for you.
-
I almost lost my hat!
Does anyone still wear... oh, nevermind.
-
I am sorry about your sad news, DR elmore3003.
-
Another vote for a photo from DR Laura.
-
DR Jrand72, I think my mind is a few pieces short, for sure.
November is taking a hike.
-
Or a long walk on a short pier, as they say.
-
A steel pier.
-
I'm so sorry, Larry. :(
-
Someone should write a musical about a steel pier.
-
Oh, wait. They did.
-
Christine McVie of Fleetwood Mac has died.
I just saw that, too.
-
We are in high gear.
-
And fine fettle.
-
Six!
-
Six before dinner.
-
I like the sound of that.
-
Any news today from your insurance gal, DR George?
-
Someone should write a musical about a steel pier.
I love that score. :)
-
Any news today from your insurance gal, DR George?
Nope...not yet.
-
Not even an e-mail. :P
-
Well that stinks.
-
Well I'm miffed!
-
And not in a good way.
-
I feel like that's a line from some musical.
-
Can't think of what it is at the moment, though.
-
Ah. "I'm the Greatest Star" from Funny Girl.
-
That's the ticket.
-
Many vibes to those who need them.
-
And that's basically all of us.
-
Stumble-through in forty-five minutes.
-
Then I'll probably have a Chinese chicken salad for food, although I won't decide that until after the stumble-through.
-
Why should I?
-
Glad you got the important envelope, BK.
-
-
This morning I found his reading glasses at the gym in the lost and found.
-
With me there we were back to our normal routine and nothing was left behind.
-
That's good, DR Jane. ;)
-
I gotta tell you.
-
Over and over again.
-
Page Seven is in our sights.
-
I may watch a screener this evening - The Son, from the same folks that brought you The Father, which I liked.
-
Oh yes.
-
It's in the offing.
-
Page seven would be lovely.
-
Seven
-
And there it is. Now, where in the HELL is page eight?
-
Do I hear twelve?
-
I am considering soup and popcorn for supper.
-
Not necessarily in that order.
-
Once I left my tablet at the Ashland Y, and at the time it was not password protected. I did get it back but learned my lesson.
-
Now, as soon as I stop reading & close my tablet I drop it into my bag.
-
I wear shorts with a phone pocket.
-
The Procedure can save your life.
It is an major annoyance but what price can we place on peace of mind....or a piece of mind as the case may be.
Yes, thank you for the reminder, DR JRand.
-
ChasSmith, I’m told that On Eagle’s Wings might be on GIA.
I also took photos of all five pages of it, if you need it.
-
I am considering soup and popcorn for supper.
Supper is something that’s coming late tonight.
-
Traffic was horrific tonight. I got off an exit earlier than usual because there was an accident that closed my exit. Then when I got a couple of miles down thst road, there was another accident blocking traffic.
-
I am glad you made it home safe, even if you are frustrated.
-
As of today I have reached my Goodreads goal of reading 120 books. I no longer aim for the 150 books I used to read.
-
I had requested my library purchase the latest Chief Inspector Armand Gamache novel by Louise Penny. It came out yesterday and apparently I was the first person to request this book, and the first person to check it out. The timing was good too as I was just finishing up another novel. I was very excited.
That’s nice when that happens.
-
It is, especially with a book I have been looking forward to.
-
It was even nicer when I was the first person to check out a nice clean hard cover.
-
Back to reading my book.
-
It looks like this is the 18th book in the series?
-
I have only read the first 2 or 3 so far, but really enjoyed them.
-
It looks like this is the 18th book in the series?
It is.
I have only read the first 2 or 3 so far, but really enjoyed them.
I first began reading these in 2017 after a friend highly recommended them.
-
As of today I have reached my Goodreads goal of reading 120 books. I no longer aim for the 150 books I used to read.
With Joan Is Okay, I will have read 148 books this year. That doesn’t include duplicates.
-
At that time I had 13 books to read before catching up. I took six months to catch up.
-
I count duplicates, and Goodreads suggest doing so. After all, you did read the book each time.
-
DR John I am not surprised you have read more books than I have.
-
On the upside, I am sleeping better since most of the 150-160 books were read during the night.
-
'night
-
Eight.
-
Good night, friends.
Don't you just love it when that happens? ;D
-
Page eight, baby, and it's not even seven here.
-
Stumble-through was pretty terrific - only a couple of lyric flubs and the getting over colds two folks did well.
-
Had a Chinese chicken salad for food - very good.
-
I think I can safely say there just might be a page nine in our future.
-
This year, I've finished only four books and am about a third of the way through my fifth book. ::)
-
Last year, I finished 16 books.
-
Checking in briefly here. The last couple of days have been really bizarre for me, healthwise.
I have been experiencing dizziness and general malaise. Had two doctors appointments...one yesterday and one today.
The bottom line: I am now making sizable reductions in my blood pressure medications as i am going through a rather mysterious phase of hypotension (low blood pressure), and it's knocking me for a loop.
Once it all stabilizes, and does not require returning to those meds, all will be for the best.
Only time will tell.
-
DR John I am not surprised you have read more books than I have.
Vacation helped.
-
Otherwise: Have been watching the Netflix series "1899".
Not really sure what to make of it, but I am on episode five and shall see it through..
-
Tomorrow CANNOT BE the first day of December.
How is it possible??
-
Health vibes for Ron.
-
Just finishing up work, so I can take two days off.
-
I did have two episodes of The Avengers playing in the background. Two left in this season.
-
Sad news about DR Elmore's friend
-
Late to the discussion but Eagles Wings is one of my favorites of the “ newer” hymns ( I tend to prefer the tried and true traditional hymns)
I am glad my fellow Lutheran, John, was able to help.
-
I am going to go with the theory that the long wait for John’s biopsy results is a good thing. In my experience bad news travels fast
-
Easy Procedure vibes for Ginny
-
Had a nice long chat with Bill tonight
-
He’s learning to climb stairs now
-
His house has a lot of stairs
-
I am exhausted so I am off to bed
-
Good night
-
Watching the director's cut of Doctor Sleep - so far, I don't see any differences at all save for chapter headings, which the theatrical cut didn't have.
-
A very pretty snow scene outside my condo.
-
Possibly five more inches of snow by morning. Currently we are in a lull.
-
And it is cold outside.
-
I paid the electric bill today, so I guess I can leave the heat on in the bedroom all night.
-
Page nine?
-
Page nine?
I hate when BK is always right!
-
Tomorrow CANNOT BE the first day of December.
How is it possible??
One day at a time...that's how.
-
A very pretty snow scene outside my condo.
I haven't looked outside since I got home. The snow was turning to rain when I was driving home.
-
I paid the electric bill today, so I guess I can leave the heat on in the bedroom all night.
That's a good thing. :)
-
Tomorrow CANNOT BE the first day of December.
How is it possible??
One day at a time...that's how.
The original series, or the new one?
-
Page nine?
-
I feel we should be on page ten, don't you?
-
I just feel that.
-
That is my feeling.
-
Tomorrow CANNOT BE the first day of December.
How is it possible??
One day at a time...that's how.
The original series, or the new one?
I'd never seen the reboot.
-
And they can't take that away from me.
-
If we all chip in we can DO this.
-
I know we can. Here's my chip.
-
My chip is chipper.
-
I will say that the new notes are written.
-
I said it.
-
And I'm glad.
-
Boys, help me out here.
-
Boys?
-
If we all chip in we can DO this.
I cannot afford page 10 it’s close to Christmas.
-
We're not THAT far away.
-
We're inching closer.
-
Let's go out with what the wags call a bang.
-
Those darn wags.
-
Tomorrow CANNOT BE the first day of December.
How is it possible??
One day at a time...that's how.
The original series, or the new one?
I'd never seen the reboot.
I really enjoy it. Rita Moreno is very funny.
-
Are we there yet?
-
Paging page ten.
-
PUUUUUSSSSHHHH!!!!
-
Is someone trying to gaslight me?
-
IT'S PAGE TEN!!
-
Once we're at ten I will post the stats for November and they will astonish and amaze.
-
Is someone trying to gaslight me?
Never!
-
Page ten it is!
-
Once we're at ten I will post the stats for November and they will astonish and amaze.
It's arrived!
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
Whew!
-
I personally read them.
-
They tickled me pink and other colors.
-
Nice!
