Well, you've read the notes, the notes viewed episode three, and now it is time for you to post until the episodic cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: FIORITURE!
-
I tried to type post, but it took me 20 minutes. By that time you guys had moved on to todays posts.
-
I don’t know why I forgot about speak and spell.
-
Hi, Tom!
-
It must be the start of my dementia.
-
Most people have Dementia - it's on the Kritzerland label.
-
I had some nuts for a little snack.
-
I wasn't intending to, it just happened.
-
I'm not gonna cry about it.
-
I'm not gonna cry over spilt milk.
-
I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth.
-
I'm not going to change horses mid-stream nor am I going to get off my high horse.
-
How about your hobby horse?
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Many people have never seen this rare storyboard as Jerome Robbins planned the opening sequence for West Side Story:
-
Good morning, all!
-
I love the one in the back facing the wrong way. There's always one.
-
I slept in until 7:00 this morning, so I am running about an hour behind my usual schedule.
-
My cold is working its way through my system, but I wish to hell it would move a bit faster.
-
I hear you, DR elmore3003, and feel 100% the same way.
-
I am supposed to sing the Vivaldi Magnificat tomorrow morning, But first, I need to test negative. I am putting off the test as long as possible, to give myself the best chance of success.
-
Good morning.

I have hot Hungarian paprika
Wasn’t Hot Paprika a swing version of The Mikado?
-
I’m sorta up. Slept 9.5 hours.
-
Just checked my spice shelf.
-
I do, in fact, have 2 full jars of paprika.
-
From two different distributers.

I probably needed an eighth of a teaspoon for some recipe at sometime or other.

My grandfather was an amazing cook
When I was young we had a Hungarian woman working for us for awhile. She made incredible chicken paprika. Before us she had worked someplace where she fed a large number of people had only knew how to make a large pot.
Her chicken paprika lasted several days but we never minded.
-
I use paprika in my egg salad and Keith's tuna salad. That is it.

Looking at the long range weather forecast at home......
-
I want to stay here.
-
There are a number a snowbirds in our condo complex.
-
They either go to the Palm Springs area, Phoenix, or Hawaii.
-
Until this winter I never wanted to follow them, except for just a few weeks.
-
Three!
-
When are you set to return, DR Jane?
-
Tomorrow.
-
At least the weather won't be too bad when we arrive.
-
Once home we need to go back out to the market.
-
When we first moved in to our building our upstairs neighbor said people take each other to the airport and puck them back up.
-
Since we will be returning home at a reasonable hour we will be met at the airport :)
-
We have 3 couples we do this with. When we went on our postponed trip to Milwaukee it was the first time none of them were available and we had to drive our own car.
-
If we hadn't had to leave at 5:00qm we would have taken a taxi and then someone would have picked us up. That early we didn't trust getting a car.
-
Thus far, I've had two and a half hours of sleep - this was supposed to be my catch up - sleep in day. Clearly, this must be blamed not on the bossa nova, not on Mame, not on my youth, not on Rio, not on the summer night, but on - PAPRIKA!
-
And now, back to bed and hopefully another few hours of sleep.
-
Good morning (just in time), all.
-
I actually slept pretty well, but I've already had a hectic morning doing a few things that had to be done and running an errand that had to be run, and I'm ready for a few hours of rest and relaxation.
-
So, last night was our poorly attended show, which we had already known was happening because two neighboring theeders were having their ferkakte opening nights for two other plays last night which stretched all the audiences. Our small audience was actually very good and receptive, but fate had to intervene, regardless, by not allowing the computer with the lighting program to boot up.
It finally did, but it was not running really well, and a couple of weird things happened during the first act. They were able to pull up "most of" the lighting design from a backup drive, but the computer itself continued giving them problems and pretty much gave up the ghost at intermission. The entirety of the second act was played in two (maybe three?) sets of lighting that could be changed manually, and to make matters even more disconcerting for all, there were a few lights over the audience that couldn't even be turned off. It was pure insanity, but by god we still gave them the show and it wasn't bad at all.
-
There had been miking and sound problems the previous couple of nights, so it's high time to hope for a break from it all so that tonight's good house and tomorrow's sellout have a better experience.
-
That sounds like a nightmare, DR ChasSmith.
-
Like that famed account of the finale of The Full Monty where they realized during the number that all the lighting cues had gotten one off, and knowing that the final "reveal" was going to be done under full lighting.

England vs France in the world cup semi finals in 45 minutes on FOX.

I shall think about the TOD.

Two trouble makers have not cashed their finals checks yet.....but they have NOT contacted me or my sister or the attorney.....
-
I cleaned up parts of my bedroom today. It’s a start.
-
I got rid of many old pairs of shoes, some worth donating and others worth pitching.
-
I also vacuumed under the bed, which I haven’t done in a while. Found a ring I’d bought for myself years ago (maybe 30 or more). Surprisingly, it fits.
-
Onward.
-
Four!
-
Busy afternoon and evening.
-
First up is Christmas to Streets, an almost annual tradition of bringing a barbecue dinner to the main homeless shelter.
-
Then it’s the Arthur Murray Christmas party, where I’m dancing two solos, bolero and hustle.
-
Well, with partners.
-
There had been miking and sound problems the previous couple of nights, so it's high time to hope for a break from it all so that tonight's good house and tomorrow's sellout have a better experience.
Vibes all goes well.

Wow, you didn't vacuum it up 🙂

Today is just a drive back to the airport as we need to return our car by 2:00.

Oh, my goodness! I've heard horror stories from friends, but fortunately (knock wood!) I don't think (or remember if) I've been in a show where anything like that happened. :-\
-
And now...
-
Gratuitous Post #100!!
-
And hopefully, there won't be any lighting problems...at least, not for a very long time.
-
Our board president just bought a brand new $4,000 lighting board last week!
-
And other than operator error ::) it works quite well.
-
The BEST part is that someone donated $3,500 for us to buy a board, but our president decided to buy a better model for $4,000 and paid the extra $500 himself!

I had a call this morning from the doctor who performed last week’s procedure. The snips he took present NO cancer risk and I don’t have to retest for 10 years!

We did a short stop at Saguaro National Park. I wish we had been able to stay longer, still we had a lovely walk.

Very welcome news, DR Ginny.

Finding a ring, wooden, or otherwise, should count for something. (a little A Little Night Music reference)

Thanks. We are stuck in traffic due to an accident.
-
It looks like we will be late returning our car.
-
We will be unhappy if we are charged for an extra day.
-
Keith just pulled off the freeway.
-
We filled the gas tank and now are taking a different route to avoid the accident.

Up again - I guess I got six or seven hours of sleep.

Was reminded of a favorite Mark Twain quote: Wagner’s music is better than it sounds.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
John G, I'm pleased to hear that you've taken the new job. I think you've been ready for a change. May it be a really positive move.
-
Feel-better vibes to Singdaw, Elmore, and TCB. And healthy vibes to the rest of us, too.
-
I did some laundry and am now cleaning and trying to unclog the bathroom sink drain.

Thank you, Jeanne and everyone, for the good wishes.

Are they objecting to the amount of their settlements?

I liked BK's paprika song.

Kudos for getting it done. And isn't it nice when you find a little surprise?

We only have eight in the audience today. :-\
-
But it's only our first matinee, and it's our first ever Saturday matinee...that I can remember.
-
Otherwise, it's going well.
-
DR Ginny, what good news!

I know. I think, at the most, I have one more to do then I am done.
-
Check arrived - it wasn't even posted until Thursday - of course, going two miles it should have been here yesterday - got it in the ATM but it doesn't credit until midnight Monday (officially Tuesday). Sambucol was there, and another screener came - White Noise, a Noah Baumbach movie - I don't care for his stuff.
-
DR JEANNE I left a NOT out of my post.....they have NOT contacted....anyone
-
I can't imagine what they would be being difficult about - who knows....but perhaps they just haven't cashed them yet....we will wait until next month for the December statement.....but I think I will call the attorney just in case.

Page Six.
Dancing vibes for DR JOHN G aka Shoeless Joe.
-
I hope the audience for DR GEORGE's show is enthusiastic.
-
DR CHAS SMITH is at about half hour - I hope his light board works tonight.
-
Vibes for no extra charges for DR JANE.
-
Hurray - good news from DR GINNY.
-
Glad that MR BK's check was in the mail.
-
The meat loaf is good. The remainder - which is MOST of it - is now in the refrigerator.
-
Vibes for no extra charges for DR JANE.
Thanks. All was good.
-
We ate at the hotel restaurant and are in our room for the rest of the night.
-
I hope the audience for DR GEORGE's show is enthusiastic.
Well..most (7 out of the 8 ) were older, so not very demonstrably enthusiastic, but after the show said they really enjoyed it.
-
That is what counts :)
-
Watched Kristin Stewart as Diana in Spencer. It is unsettling and eerie. Much of that comes from the film's score.
-
I guess you might say I'm on a royal kick as of late.
-
Good night, friends.
-
We have a review...and it's pretty much a rave!
Review: Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol (https://olyarts.org/2022/12/10/review-jacob-marleys-christmas-carol/)
A classic reimagined. So yes, Marley is dead. To save himself from eternal damnation, he is told he must find a way to redeem Ebenezer Scrooge. “Impossible!” TAO’s Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol is a journey of laughter and terror, redemption and renewal.
-
Congrats. :)
-
Thanks, Jane!
-
Welcome.
-
Wow! DR GEORGE your play has everything!

'night
-
Wow! DR GEORGE your play has everything!
Yup! If you get a chance to see it, DO!
-
Page six, pick-up sticks.
-
Watched one motion picture on Blu and Ray.
-
May try for another.
-
Page six - just say nix.
-
I'm pretty sure page seven is waiting in the wings.
-
As am I.
-
I have not gotten a rave review today.
-
I went to pay the storage bills on our four units - as I do every month online. Went to the site, logged in, went to my dashboard and - "no units associated with this account" Say what? Then what are these pesky rent reminders I get via email? So, I opened a "chat" and told them what was going on - or not going on and that I had to make a payment and did not want any late fees kicking in. Nice guy - told me it's happening to everyone and their team is working on the issue. So, that was good. He was able to make the payment for me when I gave him the account name and location. So, that's done.
-
A little scary.
-
Page seven has made an entrance. But never fear, page eight is waiting in the wings.
-
As am I.
-
Courteously.
-
With paprika.
-
I had no paprika today.
-
For my evening snack I had some potato chips and onion dip of my own making - well, Lipton helped.
-
Good night, all.

I used to always have paprika on my cottage cheese!
-
Last night was a night from hell.
-
After signing off from HHW last night, and after going to the bathroom to take my pills, I heard a little beep coming out of my smoke alarm in the bedroom. I thought it was, “Oh oh, I better call my friend Bobby to come change the batteries.
-
Around 230 this morning, all four alarms went off blaring at me. What the hell am I supposed to do at 2:30 in the morning??
-
My first thought was that after five or 10 minutes they would shut off by themselves
-
No, they don’t do that. I second that was people will show up because of the noise. No they don’t do that. I called my neighbors across the way, but they shut off their phones at night so they won’t be disturbed by crazy fanatic neighbors.
-
Finally, I got out 3:30 in the morning but I had reached my sanity limit, I called 911. They are directly across the street from the condos, so apparently it takes a while to wake those boys up, because it was almost 20 minutes before I got them showing up at the door.
-
They replaced the only battery I had in the house into the machine, which produced a wonderful silence. I think the four very tired fireman, and sent them on their way. I had to put my oxygen on which I wasn’t wearing, because I was really stressed.
-
I finally got to sleep around 430. At about 5 o’clock, this stupid machine went off again. Only this time it was an entirely different noise sounding like some thing out of one of those Star Wars computer people. So, what did I do, I called my friends back at the fire department.
-
Well, actually I called 911 again. Apparently they don’t post the phone numbers for the fire station directly. So, now I have the same for fireman, should I be more sleepy than the first time. They came in the door ripped the sucker off the ceiling told me it was over 10 years old and should be replaced because it was now broken. They’ve been smiled thanked me for my tax payments, and left
-
I finally fell asleep around 6 o’clock. Of course, at about 830, all the people that I had messaged started messaging me back or calling me. I think the mall for their concern, and then went back to bed most of the day.
-
I hope some of these speak and spell messages made sense. I’m too tired to correct them. I think I will say good night now. So, good night!
-
I hate when those batteries go and those beeps happen - it's so annoying.
-
And where the HELL is George?
-
Down some damn rabbit hole?
-
Page eight has been waiting in the damn wings for far too long.
-
Page eight wants and needs to make an entrance.
-
But does that matter to George? Nooooo.
-
We're not going anywhere until we satisfy that which is page eight.
-
And I don't care who knows it.
-
All right, is someone trying to gaslight me?
-
There, finally, page eight has made its entrance. Clearly we're getting nowhere near page nine.
-
Page nine will have to wait.
-
And all because of some damn rabbit hole.
-
Perhaps some paprika would help those who are errant and truant.
-
Only twenty-five more postings to page nine.
-
Why I oughta...
-
Maybe the potato chips and onion dip wasn't such a hot idea.
-
It wasn't such a cold idea either.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've read them.
-
I've seen them with my own eyeballs.
-
And it's been raining for the past hour.
-
I can hear it. I think there might have been a bit of thunder.
-
Halfway to page nine.
-
That's saying something.
-
That makes a salient point.
-
I have no idea what the salient point is but that's never stopped me from making a salient point.
-
Did you know that there's an alien in salient?
-
And here I sit.
-
The chips and onion dip may have been a mistake.
-
Boy, give George a rave review and he disappears.
-
I wish I had some damn paprika right about now.
-
I just do.
-
Well, we're so damn close.
-
May as well.
-
Who's to say nay.
-
Not me.
-
I say yay not nay
-
And I say it loudly and proudly, not necessarily in that order.
-
Page nine has entered the building.
