A lot of things have been decluttered lately.
Here are Voci di Sorelle. Sadly, not their version of O Magnum Mysterium.
The Sarabande is truly lovely.

I know what I'm having for lunch.

The concerts are over, and I couldn't be happier.
Well, yes I could, actually. It would sure be a lot nicer if I didn't have COVID.
But I didn't get it at the high school this time. I've apparently been carrying it with me since the weekend when we closed Smorgasbord! All four in the cast, plus one spouse, the director, the bass player, and now me, are the fallen soldiers so far.
Head cold variety again, but this time I said the HELL with it and started taking the Paxlovid I've had sitting here since May. The others are taking it and are swearing by it.
The windows are rattling from the noise

It' a nippy 40 degrees here at 7 a.m.
As soon as Audrey is awake, I will get a call so that I can go over and visit.
It is taking some time. I feel like Susan Hayward in I WANT TO LIVE!
Someone sent me a $25.00 Amazon gift card. It was delivered sometime yesterday, and I can find no information on who was the sender.

Mega anti-Covid vibes for DR Chas, Jane's DS Craig, and anyone else who needs them.
The heating contractor just left. My brand new, spiffy (well, not really) wall heater conked out again last night. I am SOOOO glad I bought that little space heater! It seems the new thermostat, barely 2 WEEKS old, was the culprit. I wanted a digital one, anyway, and now I have one.
Yesterday was a very bad day. I seldom get angry but I was there yesterday. Stupid Cedars! Their scheduling software is truly hostile. There is no need for this! And the 20-something young man I spoke to on the phone was typically rude. Then I called UnitedHealthCare. Their new crop of customer service people are inexperienced. They're trying, but they just don't have sufficient training. After 4 phone calls and 1.5 hours of my time over the past couple of weeks I finally have the answer to my (simple) question. Then the heater wouldn't come on.
If anyone has any suggestions for dealing with or letting go of this sort of crap please pass it on. I try to be patient, particularly if someone is trying, but the level of competence just keeps sinking lower.
On the positive side, the days are now getting longer, always welcome.
The snow started about 20 minutes ago....the temperature is 34 degrees.
So far it is too wet for the snow to be sticking to yards, sidewalks, and streets - but I expect that will change within the hour.
Thursday afternoon greetings! The Christmas cocooning has begun. Richard spent the afternoon at the package wrapping table and I baked shortbread cut-outs that we will decorate Saturday morning while listening to Lessons and Carols from Cambridge.
I enjoyed spending about half an hour with grandniece Audrey.
Her dog started barking when I came in - and that made her cry....and she was unhappy a bit during the visit - but mostly she was smiling and talking and watching everything around her.
I am very happy to have met her.

Looking at the bare treetops swaying, I can tell that the breeze has picked up.

Right now, it's 26°F in Tumwater, and is supposed to get down to 24° by 9:00 pm...before tonight's show is over!
Tonight, we still have a show to do...only a few people have cancelled, and one couple are coming tomorrow instead.
Thanks, John! :-*
When I got home tonight, this lovely spinner was waiting for me in the mail! ;D
That is the Greek evil eye. It keeps evil from you.

Oddly rather than being disappointed I’m looking forward to a relatively stress free three day weekend

I would agree.
41 and rising.
Nope, that's no mistake. It's 41 and rising. It's going up to 55 by morning, and then it takes its precipitous fall throughout the day, reaching 19 by evening. And that's what we'll be dealing with for several days after that.
You feeling any better, ChasSmith?
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day family festivities have been cancelled

World War Z is an oddly flat movie with very little genuine thrills in it. No characters. Dull.
You feeling any better, ChasSmith?
Yes, just in the last couple of hours, so I hope today was the low point. Not that it was any worse than the last time, but boy what a crappy feeling today was. Second dose of Paxlovid is doing its thing.
I think I am as insulated as I can be.

I hope I am...my house, that is. I was going to turn on a little space heater in my downstairs, but I haven't used it in a few years and it smelled like it, so I didn't want to leave it running without me being there.
The J6 Report just dropped, all 845 pages, and it is damning.
They are reading it right now on MSNBC for the next few hours.
It’s pretty shocking.

Interesting outcome of World War Z: vaccines save lives.

I have a faucet running. I cut up cardboard to cover some of the windows.
Watched five movies today.
Sorry that they can’t be together, but we’re both relieved that she found out before she left New York.

George I am relieved you made it home safely. I hope you are warm.
I am not feeling well. Sorry, I am going to sleep.
Page ten has made its entrance.
Wishful thinking. I meant page nine has made its entrance.
And page ten is waiting in the wings.
