Well, you've read the notes, the notes had no interruptions or distractions, and now it is time for you to post until the non-interrupted cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: LUSCIOUS!
-
And now - Dino at the piano.
-
I would think that DR Iris must've had some reason to delete her posts. Otherwise, how could they have been deleted, if she didn't do it. :-\
-
I'm sure she deleted them, just don't know why. I e-mailed her.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept terribly. The cats behaved, but I was in a great deal of pain and I could not get comfortable.
-
When I got up this morning I was wondering if I should cancel all my plans today and stay in bed. Once I was dressed and the cats were fed, I decided I actually felt fine, just cautious. I'm not going to let the fall scare me. I will go into City Center today and help Joshie. Tomorrow I must go to my podiatrist. All Access-a-Rides are scheduled.
-
When I fell yesterday and was calling for help, Annabelle crawled onto my chest to check on me. It was concern and worry. I have no doubt that she has great intuition, fears, and concerns like any sentient being
-
I am deep into Season One of The Crown, and I really enjoy it. The casting is wonderful.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Glad you are OK today, DR elmore3003.
-
I am really worried about you, DR TCB. Wish there was something I could do. Sending virtual {{{hugs}}}, of course.
-
Thank you, DR vixmom, for looking after WFO. Loved the story of how you met.
-
The water in the building was restored overnight. Now there's a lot of cleaning up to do.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Hugs and vibes for all.

Thursday morning greetings! Thunder and lightning are NOT what I’d expect to wake me up in the middle of January…
-
Wordle 3, Phoodle 5
4 and 3 here!
Did you watch the new LINGO on CBS last night? It’s Wordle on steroids hosted by RuPaul.
-
Sending hugs and vibes to DRs WFO, TCB, and Elmore!
-
Fingers not flexible this morning.
Sorry to hear that, DR John G.
-
I have worked 5 minutes. I think that’s enough for today.

Wordle 3, Phoodle 5
4 and 3 here!
Did you watch the new LINGO on CBS last night? It’s Wordle on steroids hosted by RuPaul.
No, but 40 years ago, it would probably have been hosted by Paul Lynde.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I have worked 5 minutes. I think that’s enough for today.
Only you can know your own limits, DR John G. Don’t overdo it.
-
We woke up to falling {s-word}.
Fortunately, we’re only getting around a quarter of an inch before it stops, warms up a little bit, and rains…probably for a whole damned day or so. Hey, better that than…you know.
-
We woke up to falling {s-word}.
Fortunately, we’re only getting around a quarter of an inch before it stops, warms up a little bit, and rains…probably for a whole damned day or so. Hey, better that than…you know.
After my family moved to Detroit from Portland, Oregon, and people would say, “Doesn’t it rain all the time out there?” my Dad’s response was that rain is pretty light on the end of a snow shovel.
-
I deleted several posts yesterday around 5AM or so.
I felt that my suggestions for Bruce, mostly my thoughts on how to avoid interruptions, were rather intrusive and none of my business. I try to be very careful about things like that…probably a little too careful.
-
I’m sorry if it caused confusion and messed up the page count.
Certainly never meant to ruffle any feathers.
-
As a fan of Laugh-In, I just heard Jo Anne Worley in my head, asking if that was another chicken joke. 😊
-
Larry, I was horrified to read about your fall, and thankful that you have such wonderful neighbors.
-
Larry, have you looked into any of the Life Alert programs?
I see that they are now available to be worn on the wrist or as a necklace.
Perhaps that would give you some peace of mind and better level of protection.
-
JRand, did you see my post the other night regarding Patty Duke singing “Could I Leave You?” on YouTube?
-
She was definitely a much better actress than singer.
-
TCB, are there any over the counter pain medications that provide relief?
Can’t remember if acupuncture was ever an option.
Did you mention a CBD cream that helped at one time?
-
John G, I hope your fingers feel better and more flexible soon.
I also hope that you can plan a trip to Buenos Aires at some point.
-
My daughter is there on an NYU program right now.
She’s taken some extra time to learn how to tango and cook some of their recipes.
-
I had no idea that Buenos Aires had such delicious cuisine.
They are known for barbecue, but the pizza is on par with, if not better, than Italy.
Same with ice cream.
-
There are more psychiatrists there than anywhere in the world.
My daughter is studying the effects of trauma on multiple generations.
-
Am planning to watch the film that won the Golden Globe for best foreign film this year, Argentina 1985.
Has anyone seen it yet?
-
Sending vibes to all in need.
Again, very sorry for any confusion caused by my post deletions.
Had no idea that it would have such an effect!
Will be more careful in the future.
-
John G, check out some of the videos on YouTube on pizza in Argentina.
I think you will find it interesting.

Wishing everyone a lovely day. 🌻

JRand, did you see my post the other night regarding Patty Duke singing “Could I Leave You?” on YouTube?
How was Vicki Carr in that production?
-
Ah, Argentina.
-
I wanna go. Now. Since it’s summer down there.
-
Tonight, my director and I resume our monthly dinner meetings. We have nothing planned for this year, as of yet, though something might happen in the late summer or fall. This one is for some long overdue ketchup. Once we get into working on a show, our regular conversations pretty much come to a halt because the planning is basically done and our schedules are just too crazy. It will be good to ketchup on 2022 stuff, and if I have my occasional fish and chips at this place, there might be a little ketchup on the chips segment of that, too.
-
Fish and chips. Ice cream. Pizza. Tasty page.
-
But let’s move on …
-
Three!
-
John, Vikki Carr was very good in that concert version of Follies.
So were Bob Gunton and Harry Groener.
I think there are a few clips on YouTube.
-
And, yes, it sure is summer in Argentina.
Highs in the middle 80’s-90 every day.
-
Just got called to play Chicago again at a local school. It's in March, a week before I'm playing Addams at the school where I played Chicago last year.
It's that fun and frenetic time of year when everybody's looking for py-ano players for their spring musicals.

From DR Vixmom:
If her appeal succeeds, however I may have to consider obtaining a social disease in an unconventional, but fully insured location in order to fund my retirement
:))
-
From Vixmom:
He was a math professor at a University and was my (then) boyfriend’s advisor for his senior thesis. They became friendly during the process and we began to socialize after John’s graduation.
Eventually we both dumped John but we kept each other.
I love this story.
-
GET WELL FAST VIBES FOR DR WFO!
-
DR TCB, I am sorry you could not get to the pain doctor for your medications. Do you have another appointment scheduled?
-
I'm up, I'm up - six hours of sleep.
-
Dear reader Iris, your posts were fine and I was ready to answer when I answered the rest at the end of the evening. You didn't ruffle feathers, I enjoy answering questions.
-
Have heard not a peep about episode seven.
-
We woke up to falling {s-word}.

There are more psychiatrists there than anywhere in the world.
My daughter is studying the effects of trauma on multiple generations.
That is interesting about Buenos Aires. With so many people getting therapy do they seem better adjusted than anywhere else?
I have read of multigenerational studies of families after the Holocaust.
-
Sending vibes to all in need.
Again, very sorry for any confusion caused by my post deletions.
Had no idea that it would have such an effect!
Will be more careful in the future.
Sometimes people just say deleted instead. I tend to just post something else.
-
DR Iris, I should mention I don't pay enough attention to have noticed post were deleted ;D
-
And, yes, it sure is summer in Argentina.
Highs in the middle 80’s-90 every day.
Heavenly, except maybe for the humidity.
-
DR TCB if I remember correctly you have to see the pain doctor in person to do a blood test.
Vibes you can get relief from your pain.
-
DR IRIS yes I checked out Miss Patty.....fun.
-
I hope DR ELMORE's travels are going well today.
-
Larry, have you looked into any of the Life Alert programs?
I see that they are now available to be worn on the wrist or as a necklace.
Perhaps that would give you some peace of mind and better level of protection.
I have not, but it has been on my mind.

My cousin Carol came by about 10 a.m. and we talked until almost 2 p.m.
Most excellent. She and her husband are staying with her son and his family. They finally close on their new house on January 20. All of their furniture is on the moving truck since they sold their house and needed to be out by December 28.
So hopefully it will all work out.

I assume it is in MONO....it is still around here someplace.

AH.....well.....home is where the heart is.
-
Because of yesterday's fall, my legs are screwed up today. I could not raise my foot high enough to take the five stairs leading from the front door to the lobby. As a result, I had to crawl on my knees up the stairs in front of a kindly Amazon delivery man and a neighbor tsking jer dog for a walk. It was most humiliating.
-
As soon as I got into the apartment, I called my HMO and rescheduled tomorrow's appintment for two weeks from Monday.
-
DR TCB if I remember correctly you have to see the pain doctor in person to do a blood test.
Vibes you can get relief from your pain.

In a word, DR John G., no.
-
Dinner meeting postponed till Monday.
Which is fine with me. It's kind of a miserable wet evening out there, and I don't need that. No, sir. Don't need it.

-
Vibes for DR ELMORE.
That's a great window display!
DITTO!
And yes, it sure is!
-
DR Elmore, I wish that the Amazon delivery guy had offered some support to enable an easier entry into the lobby of your building.
-
I always thought that ramps were required in buildings, but my friends in New York have stairs like yours and no ramps.
Parents with strollers and toddlers in tow also have difficulty dealing with them.
-
Most of my friends will need to move out and find new apartments as soon as the stairs into and out of the lobby become more difficult to navigate.
It is always on their minds.
-
That window display of books is brilliant, as they say in England.
-
DR Jane, Argentina has a history of brutal dictatorships and economic anxiety.
During the “Dirty War”, which started in 1976, at least 30,000 were killed or “disappeared”.
-
Babies were taken away from political prisoners and given to families who were well connected.
There is still an enormous sense of collective trauma, and an ongoing effort to find those children, now adults, and reunite them with their biological families.
-
There is no stigma associated with therapy, and it is highly encouraged, common, and very affordable.
Their culture is extremely open, and people feel strongly that mental health is every bit as important as physical health.
-
I will learn much more when Elyse, my dear daughter, returns next week.
Even her AirBnb host is a therapist, and there is a large neighborhood with the name Villa Freud.
-
DR Chas, you are certainly in demand these days!
The song “Popular” from WICKED comes to mind. 😊
-
DR Elmore, I wish that the Amazon delivery guy had offered some support to enable an easier entry into the lobby of your building.
He did. He was very kind. I turned down his help. I prefer to deal with things alone when possible.
-
He had already left me when I discovered I could not handle the stairs today. When he dropped off his packages and was leaving the building, I was halfway up the steps on my knees.
-
In a word, DR John G., no.
Sorry.
-
DR Jane, Argentina has a history of brutal dictatorships and economic anxiety.
During the “Dirty War”, which started in 1976, at least 30,000 were killed or “disappeared”.
:( It sounds like the horrible dictatorship of Romania.
-
Babies were taken away from political prisoners and given to families who were well connected.
There is still an enormous sense of collective trauma, and an ongoing effort to find those children, now adults, and reunite them with their biological families.
This is very sad, a bit like what Russia is doing with Ukrainian children.
-
There is no stigma associated with therapy, and it is highly encouraged, common, and very affordable.
Their culture is extremely open, and people feel strongly that mental health is every bit as important as physical health.
This attitude is wonderful, and hopefully helps the next generation of children.
-
I will learn much more when Elyse, my dear daughter, returns next week.
Even her AirBnb host is a therapist, and there is a large neighborhood with the name Villa Freud.
Funny about the Villa Freud neighborhood.

Lisa Marie Presley has died. I thought she was going to make it :(
I remember when she was born.
-
Jane, it is exactly what the Russians are doing with Ukrainian children.
-
Shocking news about Lisa Marie Presley.
I just saw her with her mother on the Golden Globe Awards show on Tuesday night.
-
Only 54 years old.
Cardiac arrest at home.
Very sad.
-
Jane, it is exactly what the Russians are doing with Ukrainian children.
Yes, though I got the feeling you were indicating a larger number of children had been stolen.
-
'night
-
Oh, I should clarify.
At least 30,000 disappeared, and some were pregnant at the time
At least 500 babies were taken away and given to those who were supportive of the dictatorship.
-
Watching the rest of Wise Blood. The really sick stuff has started.
-
Dancing was fine tonight. Only one student showed up for the first class. But nine showed up for the second.
-
Lisa Marie Presley has died. I thought she was going to make it :(
I remember when she was born.
I'm at my sister's and she just saw this. :(

Shocking news about Lisa Marie Presley.

I recorded the Golden Globes but haven't watched them yet.

Tomorrow is Friday the 13th.
-
Fortunately, I do not suffer from Paraskevidekatriaphobia.

All is quiet on the Western front.

What's happening on the Western back, I can't say.

Don't ask me.

I was hoping to get at least to page six, but it's looking iffy.

And they ain't cluckin'.
-
They might have laid an egg.
-
What am I talking about?
-
Page Six.
-
That's what I'm talking about.
-
BK is busy writing.
-
Good for him.
-
I think that's a wrap for me.
-
Or a warp.
-
Or both.
-
Good night, friends.
-
I love Criterion’s extras. One of the extras on Wise Blood is the only known recording of Flannery O’Connor reading her own work. She’s a hoot and the audience loves her. That thick Georgia accent is perfect. When she says “Co-Cola, “ swallowing the middle syllable, she earns a hearty left for her reading as much as her writing.
-
Good night, Singdaw.
-
I want to see the green comet tonight, but I don’t want to stay up until midnight.
-
Well, well...we have had a day of it, weather-wise. Two tornado warnings, separated by an hour or so...major storms churning along from Georgia through SC and into NC.
I had heavy rains and a good deal of thunder to rattle things, but fortunately no twisters to duck-and-cover over.
Whew!
-
Truly sad news about Lisa Marie Presley.
She was at the Yellow Blobs ceremony and later photo-bombed with Austin Butler.
-
There seems to be some confusion on Facebook about why New York state doesn't fire David Santos and hold a new election for his congressional seat.
Congress makes its own rules, just as it votes on its own salaries. There is a rule that says Congressmen may NOT be fired or removed for any reason until a term has been completed. It's very self-serving and assures the party of the guilty part that it will control that seat until the next election.
Under normal circumstances, the guilt and shame of whatever conduct has been exposed has been enough, thus far, to have Congressmen relinquish their seats when publicly shamed. Normally (!!!), the Speaker of the House would remove said Congressman from all committees and sit that person down and tell him to do the right thing. Sadly, Kevin McCarthy is not the "normal" Speaker of the House, and we all know Santos has absolutely no remorse or shame or feelings of guilt for having lied his way into office.
The state of New York is powerless until 2024. FWIW, McCarthy also cannot fire him, but he can ensure Santos has nothing to do but draw his salary. That won't happen.
-
I know today is Thursday, but it has felt like Friday all day long.
And what the heck has happened to the rest of the week?! How has it passed as quickly as it did?
-
Tomorrow is Friday the 13th.
In 1986, I graduated from Centralia College (a two-year community college) on the only Friday the 13th of 1986. ;D
-
I want to see the green comet tonight, but I don’t want to stay up until midnight.
It's raining in Tumwater right now, so if it were seeable in this area, we couldn't see it anyway. :P

What a coinkydink! I was literally just about to post this exact link!
-
Did you like them? I wasn’t thrilled with the voices.
-
Good night, all.
-
Did you like them? I wasn’t thrilled with the voices.
I enjoyed them. I'm not usually very critical because I think I've gotten used to the GREAT variation in the vocal qualities of performers on cast recordings...and really, who am I to judge?
-
I can enjoy a singer who's not so great, and conversely there have been times when I didn't like a performance by someone with a very good voice.
-
And that's what makes horse racing. ;)
-
Still can’t get a photo to post.
Pathetic, I know.
-
Could it be that I only have an iPad?
-
There’s a wonderful photo of Josh Groban as Sweeney Todd.
I have it in my photo library, but can’t seem to share it here.
-
Will try another day.
It’s on EW if anyone is curious.
He definitely looks crazed.
-
TCB, are there any over the counter pain medications that provide relief?

Did you mention a CBD cream that helped at one time?
The CBD cream was called Solace.

I now have my pain pills.

Thank you all for the good wishes.

I now have my pain pills.
Great news!
-
TCB, are you still interested in Solace CBD cream?
I see it can be purchased on Green Revolution’s website.
-
So pleased that you have pain pills, TCB.
-
Only 54 years old.
Cardiac arrest at home.
Very sad.
The newscaster referred to her as the only child of Elvis Presley. I think, more important, she was one of the only women ever to spend the night with Michael Jackson!
-
She was MARRIED to Michael Jackson for 2 years, wasn’t she?

Isn’t one term all Santos need to qualify for the famed Congessional retirement?
-
TCB, are you still interested in Solace CBD cream?
I see it can be purchased on Green Revolution’s website.
I was warned against ordering CBD creams on the Internet, because you can’t make sure of the quality of the ingredients you’re getting.

I have a big cup of grapes and cheddar cheese calling my name from the refrigerator; but at almost midnight, I will not hear the call.

-
Shouldn’t BK be joining us by now?

Larry, I feel so bad for you. That must have been horrible.

TCB, i located what appears to be a well regarded company that sells Solace balm online.
What is a balm?

The Follies reference was, of course, intentional.😊
